#fvine, oops I got the maca today, for 10k. I was asked too used 3x daily. I feel I am getting there already..
You haven't still answered my question, about having blackish blood on d 1st and the last day of period. Thanks

Here is the maca extract:
Wow! That's quite costly for a bottle of 60 Capsules. Well except the Maca root type used and mg strength is very very high. There are several brands sold for much less, with more capsules & good mg strength. But anyways, now that you've got it, please use according to the recommended dosage on the bottle and let's know how it works.

As for the black blood, it's not really something to worry about except it causes you severe pains and/or cramps when it's coming out. Several common things that cause it are: delayed period, shedding of left over blood, PID and some other infections, BCP, Stress and depression which can cause thinning of the uterine lining and delayed period, period after a miscarriage. It can also be a sign of something like Endometriosis but not very common. Home remedies include, Parsley + Beet + Cucumber Juice, eating Paw paw and do drinking lots of water. Also treating the underlying thing causing the black blood.

Thank you sister for your advice. In as much as I would be glad to try alternative method of shrinking fibroid, but I can't @ the moment cos we are drained financially. I live in Jos while the RCCG midwife lives @ Akure. The herbs cost 35k while the surgery cost 60k. If I have to travel that far then I'll be spending nothing less than 60k. Hubby received his last salary in Dec, still awaiting 3months. He works with government.
I've been asking myself series of questions, what if it works for others and not for me? Do I have the finances that I will start paying for 2nd option "surgery" if the first option fails?
I've tried pax herbals and gnld @ various times but couldn't dissolve it rather it increased it. I don't want to stress my hubby again cos he has gone through a lot for me. I thought of it and even told him. I've read other mama's post of spending hundreds on herbs to dissolve fibroid, but rather than dissolve it, it gave them other illnesses.
I wish I could use her herbs, but with my condition I can't.
Hi I was going to suggest this (RCCG) and perhaps ACV + BSM, before I saw this your post, those are things people have claimed worked for them. I get your analogy though. I pray God takes charge and comes through for you. Take care.

He weighed himself this morning and has lost 2kg in two days but he said he can't continue after today cuz he is irritated by the eggs already

So by tomorrow we will transition into steamed ugwu and meat for two days then see where that takes us to by the weekend

@chom4shizzle he does weight lifting and aerobics as part of his daily weekday routine. I fed him half yolk
His weight loss is Eggcellent! He'll sure lose more on the Meat and Ugu Vegetables. You can vary his meals by cooking his meat as Peppersoup, also adding Titus Fish and "Green" Vegetables (Spinach) very yummy. It's also low calorie too. Just boil the Fish and add to the Vegetables while steaming. I do get him on being tired of eggs. I also get tired too, the only thing that keeps me is looking at my end goal and preparing the Eggs in a different way. My 3rd Egg fast last year, I could only eat eggs by adding them to my Coffee and that's what I did all through. At least he has experienced it and can always employ the Egg Fast if and when needed. Well done too, you're doing great by being his pillar.

Ladies I'm here oh, not giving any update bc I've not weigh myself since Saturday I started portion control at 88kg. Just went egg/butter/cheese /coconut oil shopping today in preparation to begin the Egg Fast Diet on Thursday afternoon.
@Fvine will give a full details of my weight, height and BMI then so I can be giving accounts on my progress accurately. I know uve started work again and may be kind of busy but pls follow me up so I can stay on it, wanna do a 5 day fast min but may go up to 7days fast at a time. Pray we all attain our desired weight soon.
#bye bye to 10kg minimum by june#
Well done, you've taking the 1st step by putting together your ingredients. I'll suggest you ditch the cheese. Cheese stops some people from losing weight on the Egg Fast and in general. Or it can just minimize the weight you lose. If you want something different to keep you sane, go for Calorie Free Soda and Sugar Free Gum.

Yes am back to work but still drop in several times daily but just not as much as before. Am here for you, just let me know once you start so that I can Egg you on. May you lose Eggcellently. Am planning on an Egg Fast by next week Tuesday. I would've started Monday but have a sendforth lunch but am just keeping to zero carb which is all edibles from the animal kingdom.

@Fvine if na me get all dose ur exercise equipment, chai...dey wud be begging me by now 2 stop tormenting dem. Lol.

@Favouredgal, ur DH isn't too fat sef for a man. I'l suggest he focuses his workouts on getting dose tight, sexy pacs thru lots of weightlifting n aerobics, he will still loose d weight by building up lean muscle inplace of fat (u will loooove). He's on d ryt track bt like Fvine sed, please feed him dem yolks because dey contain Choline wich is d main component for weightloss in ds egg fast. Choline is also found as one of d main ingredients in most weightloss drugs.
Lol. Na same thing I think before hubby bought all those equipments. But by the time I got them, after a few weeks I dumped them. The only thing I can manage to use once in a while is the Aerobic DVDs and the Mini Stepper but since I discovered the Egg Fast, and lost weight on it without exercising, I no dey bother myself with exercise again. Once am done with fat loss to some point, I might start up exercise for body sculpting if I find it necessary.

@ favoredgirl DH needs the weight loss oh. No one should be weighing 100kg + except you're about 7ft tall. My hubby is 6ft tall, weighs 90 + and still overweight by BMI at least not to talk of body fat on his tummy. He's not for dieting but portion control and exercising. So he runs, lifts weight and rides his bicycle to a far distance although he's had to limit/stop the bicycle riding because of ttc things.

You're very right on the Eggs and Choline.

thank you. he took the 6 eggs to work and had another 3 when he got home

Same as today, he has taken 6 to work as well

he was able to exercise for an hour yesterday morning and also this morning

I used a table spoon of olive oil

Hopefully this helps him break his plateau
will keep the house posted
Ok it should be a 1 tablespoon for one egg. I still feel you should let him have the whole eggs so that he reaps full benefits. You could just be suffering and short changing him. Anyways it's up to you. Kudos to him. He's trying wella.

Where have this thread been all my life? Never knew it existed till I read about it in the TTC thread (thanks to fvine)
I am very arapkuru ie very big! embarassed
Pre pregnancy weight was 110kg
I gained 10kg during pregnancy bringing me to 120kg cry

I lost 20kg after delivery/ surgery/illness.

Now I've climbed up to 115kg angry

And I sooo want to lose me some of this weight!

Please mamas can I do the egg fast even as I breastfeed? (Though not exclusive)

And how best to take the eggs?( I don't like fried eggs)
How many to take per day?
And for how long?
Please help a sister!

I am too lazy to exercise embarassed I have a spinning bike stationed in my living room yet I don't use it.

Its dieting or nothing for me! Sorry for the long tory lipsrsealed
Lol. I was also a big girl last year April. Weighed in at 94kg. I used the Egg Fast and then Low Carb, High Fat on my resting days to crash down my weight. The Egg Fast really works and the people on the support group on Facebook are great.

Am also exercise lazy like you. I have a Stationary Air Bike, Mini Stepper, Tummy Slimming Massage Belt, Exercise Bench for Tummy Exercises, Dumb bells (Weights), Aerobic DVds etc Anyways am glad for the Egg Fast. On it you lose weight without exercise.

Yes you can go on the Egg Fast since you're not doing exclusive. The Full explanation of the Egg Fast is on Page 64. Read through and ask questions if you have any, I'll be glad to answer.

So today is day 1 I gave him 6 eggs to take to work he will have it as brunch
4 had no yolk while 2 had their yolk

He is also working out as he works out Monday to Friday
Please don't starve him oh! 6 eggs is the minimum but there's no Maximum. My 1st Egg Fast, I ate 12 eggs Day 1 and Day 2 and then moved down to 8 Eggs from Day 3 when my hunger, cravings and appetite started going down, eventually by Day 6 or so, I could only take the minimum of 6 eggs.

Hope you remembered to match it with the Tablespoon of Fat which is either Real Butter, Mayonnaise, Olive Oil or Coconut Oil. Please let us know how his 1st day went. Well done for doing this for your DH.

My husband is starting the egg diet tomorrow

After hours of research online the cholesterol thing keeps coming up so to err on the side of caution I'm going to be thrashing the egg yolk in the eggs either boiled or fried

Will keep y'all posted on how many calories he is able to lose

Wish I could join but I'm breastfeeding
Hi. That's great that your husband wants to try out the fast. I understand your gist on the cholesterol but I'll refrain from giving a lecture in it. The Egg yolk is the powerhouse in the Egg, that's where all the minerals and vitamins are, you'll be depriving your husband of proper nutrition while on the fast which is very bad. And also altering the fast recipe might also work against him and he wouldn't reap the full benefits. If he's going on a 5 day fast, 5 days will not suddenly make his cholesterol soooo high and make him have heart issues don't you think? Please go and sign up on the Facebook support page for interaction with people all over the world who are sharing their daily experiences on the fast. I don't want to convince you by myself. Kindly keep us posted. Pls let him do a before and after records.

@Fvine, good afternoon and well done for d good job u are doing here. May God answer our prayer sooner dan we expect. I ve severe pcos, with irregular menses. I started watching my weight last year around May,was weighing 88kg wen I started, but I weight 63kg now. Was told to take vitex on TTC tread and I started Oct last year. Since then AF has been regular 30 days, but still no BFP. Wanted to add omega 369 but don't kw which brand to buy. Pls ma which brand will I buy and how much does it cost?
Any brand is OK. just follow the dosage instruction on the bottle. Am glad you have a regular period now. Have you checked to be sure you ovulate? Have you done other testing for you and your DH to rule out other issues? if yes, then relax. It will happen soon by God's grace. You know the statistics is that it takes a healthy couple and average of 1 year to conceive but this shall not be your portion The cost range is from N2,500 to N3,500 depending on the pharmacy and location.

Congrats on your weight loss, you've done a very good job. Please share with us what you did to achieve your weight loss goal. It could help me or some one else. TIA.

@fvine God will bless sooner than u think. U are indeed a blessing. Aside from being obese I have no symptoms of pcos. I always thot fibroid came with heavy flow and painful period. But then the last time I was preggies I just did a clean 9 weight loss programme and on vit e. I think I have my work cut out for me.
If that be the case then, I think you already have your answers and just need to get to work. A loss of as little as 5kg can make a difference, and once you lose a little, you'll be motivated to lose more. Just get to work, motivate yourself by looking at the end goal, if not for your health, to get pregnant and have a healthy child. Take care. You can do this.

Good evening fruitful Mama's, I just came back from the hospital as advised by #chom4shizzle & #Fvine.. Chom4shizzle advised me yesterday to go for Hormonal Assay so I went this evening. I posted recently on the pelvic scan I did and also discovered I had intramural fibroid with a calcified one. Fear of surgery (I had 6 different surgeries already) made me to start searching for alternatives and a friend gave me a RCCG midwife's num that helped her expelled her's.
My previous gynae said the fibroid is not a problem and that I can conceive even without removing it. Today I met a different gynae and after scanning me in his office, he said I can conceive but it will cause a miscarriage since its 5.8cm as of this evening. He took his time to answer all my questions including my fears.
He has given me 2 options, either to go for general anaesthesia that will make me sleep throughout the surgery or regional anaesthesia that will numb the area while I am wide awake or conscious.
Please has anyone here had regional anaesthesia for open myomectomy? How does it feel and can you share your experience?
All I need now is your prayers, for God to open financial doors for my hubby and also for successful surgery.
Please what should I ask him to check in my womb during the surgery?
Thank you FVINE and CHOM4SIZZLE for your advice. May God blessed you all and give you your heart desire. (So sorry for my long epistle)
Hi Sis, sorry that you've had to go through all of these surgeries and now this is presenting itself. Do not lose hope, keep talking to God while you work on a line of action.

I had general anaesthesia so I can't fully answer your question from experience. But I there are Mamas here who had the regional/localized anaesthesia and they told me they felt nothing as they were numb from waist down. During their surgery, they were gisting with the Dr/Nurses and they tried to keep them distracted and occupied while the surgeries were down. 3 of these Mamas are @ Redeemed , @ Sugah and @ mummytwins2 Am sure once they're online, they'll still share with you directly.

But instead of just folding your arms why not try out natural remedies to help shrink or at least keep the Fibroids at bay? You never know God might just work his wonders. Just take with faith and commit to God. I think calcified Fibroids can sometimes be softened by taking calcium. Take care.

It's a popular Vegetable amongst the Yorubas used for making their popular Ewedu Soup. Igbo's (Anambra) call it Ari--raa or Ahihara. Just ask women selling Vegetables. The Cabbage is to be eaten raw, in a good quantity and regularly. For the Ewedu, you just steam and eat.

@ Fumbaby and mamaibeta, you're welcome

@ oleayo22, thanks for sharing. But please note that Soy is bad news for women who have PCOS and/or Fibroids or Hormonal Imbalance.

@ pweetymii , Thanks Dear. Na jeje I go try dey do now until I conceive and put to birth grin

@ rachie83, you and all the arguments piqued my "research antenna" because I was thinking of the people this would help if the product is effective as per your claims. So I decided to find out more about the product. I've visited the Facebook group, saw pics of the drug but couldn't see a pic of the Supplement Fact and ingredients. Please snap and post the drug supplement fact here directly. The group is also somewhat inactive. Last post was since Oct 2015. Most of the discussion of the drug is also testimonials and nothing else. I've checked online and nothing. Please help me provide more information on this drug. Am greatly interested in the supplement fact/ingredients TIA.

@ All Mamas, am not against those who disagreed but what am not for is the manner in which they voiced their disagreement. You can voice your opinion and disagreement without insolence or being rude. Remember this is an online forum and written words are easily misunderstood more than if they were verbal. I've read all the arguments and fully understand where everybody is coming from.

What if she were marketing nko, is there no possibility that the product can be for real? Just playing 'Devil's Advocate' here pls so no face me oh grin One can still market a good product that works nah, nothing wrong in that but then I don't support lying to market a product, so I hope she's being honest when she said it's actually her story. I believe all these products we're promoting now for their tested & trusted efficacy like the Clean Point, Guaifebao etc would've been marketed in different ways at some point. Anyways let's chill till we get more info on the drug. This is my humble submission : )

I am so happy for all the great news..i am close to having my testimony. Guys, I am scared of doing HSG..I had done pelvic scan, hormonal test, follicle whatever. I am just not comfortable doing the HSG.
Can someone advice me, pls. I knw definately it can never be as painful as child-bearing. But I am so not comfortable doing it. I always have that asurance, that if God could give a woman that does not aav any womb a child to carry to term, there is nothing impossible for Him to do. Guys, pls encourage me..my marriage is going to 3yrs now..i need a push.
Sincerely, y'all are great people..
Great to know that you have done all the other Fertility testing. Hope they checked out great. Has your DH been tested? If No, maybe its also time he got tested to rule out MFI.

Don't be scared of getting the HSG done, yes there are lots of horror stories but there are also lots of painless stories. I myself had a painless HSG, just a pinch/pop sensattion when they opened my cervix and inserted the the catheter and slight cramps when the fluid was passing both tubes. Although honestly, I'll be scared if I have to go for an HSG again. Sometimes the sad stories just never leave your mind fully even after having a good experience. My suggestion is:

1. Take Ibuprofen at least 30mins before the procedure. You can ask your Dr although I bought and did this on my own after Mamas here suggested it.

or

2. There's a painless HSG procedure which involves the lab dosing you with Morphine I think. So you can also ask the lab if they have something like that. Although ladies here have said it's costlier than the regular one.

Hope this helps. Welcome to the thread. May God bless you swiftly with a healthy BFP, Amen.

Did this HSG test on Friday just got my result now.

Radiological Report

Following retrograde introduction of contrast agent via leech Wilkinson's cannula.
The cervical canal, uterine cavity and both fallopian tubes have been outlined
The cervical canal is within normal limit
The uterine cavity has a bi cornual length of 3.5cm and also within normal limit
Both fallopian tubes show evidence of free and bilateral peritoneal spillage of contrast though left not outlined

CONCLUSION
Bilateral patent tubes.

Fvine, sugah other sabi mamas should help me out before seeing my gynea tomorrow
Conclusion is that both tubes are open, I bless God for you. But what I don't understand is why the 2nd line said that "both fallopian tubes have been outlined" and the last line said "though left not outlined". Please point out both lines to your Dr to see what he says. He might miss this if he doesn't torchlight and read in between the lines before reading the conclusion. So when he knows, he can torchlight the film from the HSG wella to know exactly what the HSG saw and not just what the Technician wrote. So no wahala.

Good evening to all the mamas in the house. Congratulations to all who got bfp. We will all partake of this showers of bfp.

Sabi mamas o, the second day of my period is always heavy that I use a full pack of always + 2 pcs in a full day. As in 1hr to 2hrs ots soaking and leaking. Was at the hospital before I got married about the dr dismissed my fears.
Always Super? Dr dismissed your fears saying exactly what? 2 things I know that cause heavy bleeding is Fibroid and PCOS. After my Fibroids removal, CD2 is still heavy for me which I believe can be due to PCOS or maybe not. But it's still not as bad as what you described. Mine is more like an average of 4hours. @ Sugah also before her Pregnancy had same heavy CD 2 but I also doubt it's as heavy as your scenario. Am not sure she was fully diagnosed of PCOS but she had all the symptoms and treated herself of it at some point. Am sure she'll comment on this when she's online. But then she conceived with it, so maybe there's no cause for alarm. I'll feel better though if the Dr banished your fears with a good satisfying explanation. So if you can remember, share exactly what he said. It's possible there's no cause for alarm. Me no be Dr oh! Just sharing d little limited stuff I've learned. There shouldn't be a drop if one is not preggo or nursing. if you get a drop by touching your nipples then it's likely you have it. Mine doesn't even show on gentle press, it comes out as clear fluid when they do the hard outward press of the whole breast check at the hospital (kinda painful). For some women it's whitish like milk while for others it's clear fluid.

Honestly it's your decision to make. Surgery is usually considered the last resort and human beings will always try all other means possible before succumbing to surgery. That is not to say that surgery is bad because it actually gives you guarantee that the job will be done. There are no actual guarantees for everyone on alternative methods. What worked perfect for A might not work or work slightly for B.

With that being said, I don't know the cost of Guaifebao but Clean Point Tampon I believe is about N3k, Castor Oil small bottle about N500-700, Hot water bottle for the Castor Oil, perhaps N1000. Also add Gynapharm by Kedi, no idea of price. I don't know how much Serrapeptease or Wobenzyme is. But I think they're affordable as against the cost of surgery. So you might try them out 1st and hopefully they work great for you like they have worked for other Mamas here and various online forums.

Venizia cleared her blocked tubes with Hydrosalphinx using Guaifebao and Gynapharm by Kedi. Lots of people too have also had success unblocking their tubes with the above mentioned Products. Don't be depressed, it's well, your testimony is around the corner. God bless.
