Ok I understand your concern now. You should have been asked to do a Quantitative Beta HCG Test twice at least. This test checks the quantity of HCG in the system. Normally when a woman is pregnant, the quantity doubles every 24hours or so. Normally Dr's will use this to check if the pregnancy is progressing well or not. So in your case, if you do a Beta HCG Test today and its 2000, if you're not pregnant, after 24hours or more, another Beta HCG should be done to see if its increasing or decreasing. If its increasing, then there's likely a Pregnancy/Fetus causing this, if its then its all good. After a while, a 3rd Beta HCG test would also be done to be sure that your levels have completely gone down to the normal levels for a none pregnant female. If yes, then all is Ok. If no, an investigation will be carried out to find out why. Hope this helps.

Hi, is there a reason why you say "but am not pregnant"? When was your last AF? Were you pregnant recently but lost it? It could still be residual HCG from that pregnancy, perhaps your HCG is yet to completely go down to a level that wouldn't be detected by a test. Could also be a baby in there, you never know. Some women have had miscarriages and later discovered that they were carrying twins, miscarried one and one survived. Well am sure your Dr. will be able to give you a more solid explanation after investigations and scan. I wish you the best.

My one cent is that you go for Hydrotubation since you had an inconclusive hsg previously. For my suggestion, I considered that HSG is about N15k and will only tell you if the tubes are open or not, will do little or nothing to opening the tubes if they're blocked while Hydrotubation is about N20k/25k which will confirm to you that your tubes are open because it actually flushes the tube so you'd have nothing to lose if the tubes are open or not. Cost difference for both is roughly N5k to N10k.

It's normal. it's actually your body responding to your Fertility. You're in your Fertile window and it's the Fertility hormones doing this so that you can groove and have a chance of getting preggy. Abeg carry go and enjoy yourself, praying it results in a bfp for you, Amen.

You need a vaginal swab test to have an accurate diagnosis. But from your description, its mostly a yeast infection, Candida overgrowth which you can easily treat. Continue the evergreen woman since it has kept your menses regular, I doubt it has anything to do with the discharge you're having cos its just a Multivit and not Antibiotics.

Candida feeds on Sugar so during treatment and afterwards, it's best you eliminate refined sugar and flour from your diet. I used to have recurring Candida infection until I did this and haven't had it in years. I recently got Candida again due to long term antibiotics use as per my recent open Myomectomy. The prescription I got from my Dr is Nystatin Suppositories 1 twice a day for 7days, Gynotrosyd Cream to be applied twice for 7days. I also know that applying Mycoten cream works on the outer itch in case you can't find the Gynotrosyd cream.

My tested and trusted home remedy is Garlic. At night, break off a clove of Garlic from the Garlic Bulb, peel the back, wash and dry with tissue paper, use knife to make piercings on the garlic so that the fluid is oozing out, thread a needle and sew a long thread from the top to the bottom. Leave a long thread hanging out. Insert the garlic into your veejay while leaving the thread hanging out, leave overnight, pull out the garlic in the morning by pulling on the thread. It works like magic. You may need to repeat a 2nd and 3rd night if you have a heavy build up and continue to feel itchy after the 1st night.

Please during and after treatment, wash your panties in water with disinfectant, also ensure you rinse out all soap suds, then soak your panties for like 3-5mins in water with disinfectant before spreading to dry. This kills off any infection/germ that might be on your panties to avoid reinfection. I think it's a good idea for every woman to disinfect their panties after washing to kill off germs whether there is a known infection or not.

I have tried Coconut Oil which only reduced the itch small but didn't cure it. I've also tired out the plain and Unsweetened Yoghurt Orally, inserting into the Veejay and rubbing it down there which also reduced the itch but didn't cure me. Garlic is the home remedy of choice for me. Cured me overnight. I repeated the cure for total of 3 nights to ensure that the Candida ain't coming back. Take care.

tested 5 days after expected date...bfn.
tested today...bfn..
using the 50naira test strips.
had blackisk/brownsish spottting on cd 21 ish....which i assumed to be implantation bleeeding
cd 29...had faint spotting...could see it when i wiped....and mild cramps 2 to 3 days before
cd 30, cd 31 slight yellowish discharge, no smell, no itching.

reallly wondering whats wrong, with the 2 bfns, my morale is dropping seriously, wondering if i shud wait till next wk, and woman up to do a blood test.....just confused, is it the el cheapo test strips giving me a false result, should i try the more expensive type [500 naira], or just go go a bpt.
some kind of pulling on my belly button/navel today, cd8...

almost forgot, remember my last hsg was inconclusive/blocked...doc requested for a folo up hsg, which i didnt do, am thinking of ectopic pregnancy, [not my portion], but anybody has any idea of symptoms etc,.....how early can it be detected.

All the Mamas have spoken well. I doubt you have an ectopic and pray you don't. some women actually don't get positive until they're a bit far gone in pregnancy. I'll suggest you do a blood test which will be more accurate than going for the N500 Urine Test. And even if you get a bfn from the blood test, still hold on for a longer while and follow up with a scan when it's possible for a foetus to be seen on scan. I pray you return back with your bfp testimony, Amen.

Tiger Nuts (Aya, Ofio, Aki Awusa) and Coconut is actually safe during Ovulation and TWW. Dates (Dabino) is not safe for some women so care needs to be taken in consuming dates at this period. In view of this, a glass of Kunu Aya shouldn't hurt especially if you didn't use much of Dates (Dabino) in making it. I would only be cautious of taking during Ovulation and TWW because Dates (Dabino) actually helps in Inducing Labour / Ripening of Cervix so I believe it might have a negative impact in such women. It doesn't work for all women though its better safe than sorry.

If you want to be overly careful, then you can make the Kunu Aya but sweeten with Honey instead. Honey tastes almost same as the Dates (Dabino) and wouldn't affect the overall taste. Well it didn't affect the taste when I supplemented with it while making my very 1st Kunu Aya. Hope this helps.

Pls my fellow Mamas av been trying to conceive for a while now, there is always one story or another each time i go for test or scan.
Though i conceived in february but lost it at 8weeks.
The latest now is that d doctor said i have a large ovarian Cyst of 7.8cm and endometrioma of 4.8cm. He said i need laparoscopic surgery. This surgery is expensive in d private hospital i was diagnosed (350k). Pls which teaching hospital does it well. I dont mind d location as long as its in Nigeria and d price is reduced.
Also can dis so called endometrioma prevent conception

I actually don't have the exact answer to your question but I just wanted to chip in some ideas. My Dr. made me understand that rarely would one need surgery to get rid of a cyst as most cysts will not disrupt anything much and will most times resolve on their own. But assuming yours needs treatment to go, have you tried other means to see if the Cyst will go? Try Castor Oil Massage, Guaife Bao or Clean point Tampon and taking Apple Cider Vinegar (Brands like Braggs that has the Mother attached). Sorry you're going through this, I pray you get a satisfying resolution to it.

Thanks @ sugah, fvine and pweetymii for yours selfless contributions. I called her again to find out more info about the usage of the drugs, she said that was how it was prescribed and that was how she followed it. That she took the pregnyl 3 times , one before ovulation and the second one 36 hrs after and the 3rd a day after. She said she was battling with pcos and high prolactin too hence the parlodel. She is overly excited and dramatic. Her scan showed 2 boys and a girl.

I quite agree with @ miraclebaby . Like I said in my Earlier post, I don't think it's an overkill for her combination of Clomid and Tamoxifen given her severe PCOS and Annovulation which of course we have no knowledge off and therefore cant deeply judge or conclude either way. Some Drs would also combine Clomid with Injectibles in such severe cases.

As for the triple dosage of pregnyl, that is also possible because like I said some Drs will give the 1st dose to trigger Ovulation, give a 2nd an implantation support after Ovulation and might even go ahead to give a 3rd as an embryo development support once a bfp is gotten. The decision to do this lies on the patients assessment which differs patient to patient. There's a Mama on the Preggy thread who kept on having miscarriages until she discovered about low HCG after BFP and the solution of boosting this by taking a HCG injection. She was able to do this after I think her 4th BFP and that pregnancy stayed, she carried to term. The Evitol is also OK although care must be taken to ensure no more than 1000iu of Vit E is taken after Ovulation.

I very much doubt the dosage for the Parlodel no matter how high her Prolactin levels are. But well, if that's what she took, then I bless God for her that it worked without issues.

Now will I advise anyone to do the Clomid and other Ovulation Combo on their own, HELL NO! These induction combinations are for special cases proven by treatments and treatment reports that shows clearly that all other lesser treatment options have been explored and failed. And even while going with the combination treatment, monitoring and follicle tracking will be done severally to guide in drug administration and planned intercourse this is to avoid OHSS (Hyperstimulation of the Ovaries) and risk of high order multiples. Some IUI and other timed intercourse cycles can be cancelled due to the chance of any of these conditions.

On her BBG Triplets, I understand her excitement, me sef am excited for her and will be one of the happiest woman alive if am blessed with that. Believe me I won't step out of my house the day I get a bfp test lest I get into a weird situation out of excitement which is also same for my DH too. Anyway, Should you wish to do a medicated cycle yourself, please go with just one Ovulation drug, track your follicles, trigger at the right time and BD consistently after the trigger, once Ovulation is confirmed, stay away from BD for the duration of the tww.
