Now, these people don't realize they are even making their case worse, and giving the state invaluable evidence to nail them if, peradventure, this case goes to a higher court elsewhere. A "dictator" who suppresses freedoms and kills your people would certainly not allow such in the very seat of power, right under his watch.

Leiman100:
you dont know anything, in the 2001 out of the 19 governors 16 are PDP, 2 ANPP and 1 CPC. and Jonathan won in about 16 states of the north that tells you it is the north that that actually decide that election and when they became tired of him they shew him the way in 2015.
I don't know what you're referring to as 'North'... Most of the North-Central states always vote in the same direction with the South. Buhari has always won elections in the core North minus the North-Central.

The reason why Jonathan lost to Buhari in 2015 was because the South-West was divided. If they had voted the same way they did in 2011, Buhari would have lost yet again. For your information, Buhari won with less than 3 million votes. South-West would have made up for that figure if they had collectively gone with Jonathan. Buhari got 800k+ votes in Lagos alone.

stop deluding yourself, anywhere the north swing that is where the vote goes. they have the nations block vote. they decide every election result in Nigeria. check it from Shagari, Abiola, Obasanjo, Yar'adua,Jonathan and Buhari, their emergence as president is largely a decision of the north: political power lies on the people who can enthrone and dethrone kings and who have the duty of overthrowing tyrants.
Lies!

In 2011, a united South beat them hands down. The only reason the North seems to be having an upper hand is because the South is divided. Any time Southern Nigeria decides to speak with one voice, the North loses.

It's been nice engaging you and I hope you'll honor me by telling your clansmen that nobody is dragging them into a project they're not part of and have never believed in.

Biafra stands for freedom, justice, fairness, equity and it's for those who share similar ideals and values.

Please desist from littering the entire cyberspace with useless rants about how IPOB is dragging Urhobo into Biafra. Nobody has done that and rest assured, nobody will do that... Be it now, tomorrow or in the foreseeable future. The Urhobo destiny lies within the failed Nigerian state and shouldn't be attached to Biafra. We can always exist side by side as good neighbors.

The Urhobo is not obsessed. This thread is a calculated move. I don't go about creating threads on Biafra.

I ask you in all honesty to show the "anger, bile, pain, bitterness, hatred and Igbophobia" that I have manifested on Nairaland. Let's start with this thread. Kindly quote any of my posts to substantiate your claim.

Do that against the background that your ilks, especially those with sympathy to IPOB, are one of the sets of people, universally acknowledged by all, to be filled with "anger, bile, pain, bitterness, hatred".
What exactly is the purpose of this useless thread? To show your Urhobo clansmen that Biafrans hate you? Isn't that a pointer to the fact that this thread wasn't opened with an intention to engage in meaningful intellectual discourse but rather to propagate hate and division.

I'm saying it officially now on behalf of all Pro-Biafrans on this forum and elsewhere, that the Urhobo nation isn't a part of Biafra, has never been and most likely would never be a part of Biafra. Stop mastvrbating over a non-issue.

One of my best friends is an Urhobo man and he's not anything like yourself. He doesn't support Biafra and he also doesn't have the kind of anger, bile, pain, bitterness, hatred and Igbophobia you have all bottled up within your soul. You need to free yourself my brother.

On a serious note, folks like yourself should be the ones struggling to be a part of the Biafran project and not the other way round. Stop flattering yourself that you're important. Seriously you're not.
PoliticsRe: Opinion: Concerning Biafra And The Igbo Agitation For Secession by Fx55(m): 9:19pm On Mar 29, 2017
fratermathy:
Who gave IPOB or Igbos the right to speak for the tribes then? Igbo is not a minority tribe and is in no place to determine the future of minorities in the South.

If you need to take your Igboid groups, no problem but stop dragging other minorities into the equation. These are the same minorities that have come online, made statements, etc, that they are not interested in the Biafran project.

As for the oil.. You guys are no better. Leave us to fight our fight!

If you say what is here is bitterness, no problem grin.

The thread is achieving what it was intended for, which is to show the hypocrisy of the agitation and the nature of those behind it. No one has even attempted to address the issues. Instead they are causing more issues entirely.
I thought you were smart but you're seriously disappointing yourself. Who is dragging who into Biafra? That's a very dumb thing to say. Personally, I'm aware that there are plenty of minorities who are committed members of IPOB. I mean hardcore loyalists. Asari Dokubo is an Ijaw man and a publicly-proclaimed Biafran. He has his own loyalists, followers and supporters too. He has his own kith and kin who believe in his ideals and the struggle. These people have a voice too and they deserve to be heard. IPOB encourages and supports them to engage their kith and kin. That has always been the strategy.

For your information, I would personally kick against any attempts to include Urhobo, Itsekiri, Isoko, Edo and all other Biafra-hating ethnic nationalities. We can't afford to have such dissenting groups in our fold. That is tantamount to creating a monster similar to the one we're trying to destroy.

I saw one useless map that you posted earlier on. Please disregard that document. It won't fly. I have to be very blunt here.... Stop deceiving yourself that you're wanted in Biafra. That would be pure madness from whoever cooked up that idea. What exactly are you going to bring to the table? Oil? My goodness me!

Bitter?

I'm far from being bitter.

If you say you love GEJ, so be it. I didn't love him, never liked him. He lost in my pooling unit and my local government.

GEJ has nothing to do with the issues I have raised in any way. Let's not derail this thread.
My friend, your actions and disposition here portray you as a very bitter and pained individual. That's by the way. Who really cares?

Back to the topic of this thread...

Firstly, I believe you're not in a position to speak for any ethnic nationalities on the issue of Biafra. Please allow each group to make the choices for themselves and by themselves. Biafra is founded on the cardinal principles of justice, freedom, equity and fairness. As an Urhobo, you're allowed to voice out your opinions and I believe you should restrict that to your Urhobo nation. Speaking on behalf of other ethnicities amount to committing the same offense you accuse IPOB of.

In the first instance, Urhobo has never been a part of Biafra and any decision to include them should be subjected to an extensive debate by stakeholders. We cannot afford to have another Nigeria in the new Biafra. I wonder why you're crying all over the place about an issue that isn't even on print and no concrete or far-reaching decision has been made about it. In my own opinion, I think you're chasing shadows and this thread is uncalled for, unwarranted and not opened in good faith. Like I told you in some other thread, very few Igbo people know the difference between Urhobo, Ijaw, Itsekiri and others.

I find it very uncharitable when folks like you continue saying that Igbos are dragging others into Biafra. I believe the real reason Nnamdi Kanu was put out of the public space was because he was becoming the rallying voice for the South-East and the South-South. The truth is that the promoters of a failed 'One Nigeria' do not want to see a united South-South and South-East. The moment these groups come together and forge a common front would signal the challenge to their death-grip hold on the oil resources flowing from that region. I hope you understand that.

So long as these people continue bickering amongst themselves, the oil will continue flowing to the North and West. The implication is that the Niger-Delta will remain the way it is. The majority of you would be happy to collect crumbs while their children continue to lord it over your resources. That has been the pattern and there's no hope of it changing anytime soon.

Igbos voting for GEJ was not because of LOVE but of political expediency at the time and out of hatred of the Hausa-Yoruba political project.
You lie!

Mathias why are you so bitter? Igbos gave Jonathan unconditional love and support. I was almost moved to tears the day Jonathan came to Aba. People had to climb rooftops just to get a glimpse. Even Jonathan had to come down from his vehicle, walk down the road on foot and exchange handshakes with thousands of excited and jubilant supporters that lined the streets to receive him.

Do you know that many people(including myself) shed tears when Jonathan conceded defeat to Buhari? Please say what you know and don't be blinded by hate.
