When there's an upthrust, water above the submerged object is displaced to give way to the object and allow it to float. Water above an object does not mount pressure on the object. He orders another attack and the killing of all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses (Joshua 6). In Judges 21 He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife!

Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody! In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered

The God of the Bible also allows slavery, including selling your own daughter as a sex slave (Exodus 21:1-11), child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 & Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9). This type of criminal behavior should shock any moral person.

There were capital punishment for Israelites who disobeyed God. Especially those who serve other gods, breaking the covenant they have with God. God gave them that land they possess. If they'll serve other gods, they must go and serve it in the land given to them by that god. It's justice for such person who tramples God under foot on God's land to be punished with capital punishment. It's a grievous sin. He already gave the law before hand. That's different from Allah who sends Muslims to ambush and kill unbelievers who have no dealings whatsoever with him. Allah can't save. Neither can he kill. He needs Muslims to kill for him. God judges some cases by Himself. He doesn't give man the power to execute judgement in some cases. That's the Onan case. Similar cases abound in the Bible. Can you show me cases in your Quran where Allah judged anyone by himself? He only uses the swords of men. He has no sword of his own. So, he cannot be a judge. A god that cannot judge people on earth cannot judge people in heaven. That's a false god.

God is both Judge and Saviour. In the Old Testament, He fully demonstrated Himself as Judge. In the New Testament, He demonstrates Himself as Saviour through Jesus Christ.

Create a thread about the false sex slavery issue you raised. God never supported sex slavery in the Bible. Mohammed was a sex maniac who killed a man in order to marry his wife. He even snatched the wife of his own son and received a revelation from Allah to justify his own folly.

You must first understand that every country has laws, some of which bring capital punishments when broken.

These laws were instituted during Israel's formative years. They were meant to serve as deterrent to anyone who would despise the God of Israel with whom they already have a covenant.. God would keep His own part of the covenant, and anyone who breaks the covenant must suffer severe consequences. Those laws are punishments for breaking the covenant.

However, before anyone can be condemned, he must first be tried in a competent court of law. All cases would first be tried before a judge, where there must be at least two or more witnesses to testify that indeed the individual has committed a crime. Every country has laws that make certain actions become criminal. The breaking of such laws can lead to capital punishments. This was the case with the Theocratic state of Israel. The difference is that these punishments were made as a consequence of breaking the law and the covenant. Covenant breaking is a serious crime.

This is different from the Islamic command by Mohammed that allows any Muslim anywhere to go on rampage and kill unbelievers because he or she is not serving Allah. Meanwhile there's no covenant between the individual and Allah. Note that the laws were applicable to Israelite alone. It was not meant for none-Israelites with whom God had no covenant.

God saw that the people were so stubborn and were never deterred but instead became law breakers and were consistently being guilty of those crimes. He had to abolish the law. Meanwhile, the law was actually introduced to show man that no matter the consequences attached to sin, man cannot help himself. He'll sin and still suffer the consequences contrary to his will. God used those laws to show man his weaknesses with regards to sin. Sin is not man's mate. Therefore, Jesus Christ to the rescue.

John 1:17:
"For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ."

The law has already fulfilled its purpose - to show man that no matter the consequences that follow sin, no matter how easily avoidable the sin may be, man is still powerless against sin. He needs Grace. Mere willpower cannot help him; and that Grace is in Christ Jesus.

Actually, the Psalms are Jewish too but were expunged because of their content. They do not follow the same pattern and theme of the regular known Psalms which made their origins doubtful. Let's not forget even Jews at one point copied pagans especially when they deviated from God's laws
