Yes, he actually did. His mission was to build Jacobs confidence before meeting his brother Esau whom he feared. The angel didn't come to fight Jacob. The fight is just similar to a father who allows his yr old son lay him in a wrestling game just to build confidence in the son.

At least the Prophet was only terrified. His hip was not dislocated like the Biblical Jacob's!

You can read from that story that the angel didn't disguise at all, otherwise, he won't fight Jacob. Did he even announce himself an angel of God? No! So, where is the disguise you're talking about?

I've asked you a simple question about the angel that appeared to Mohammed because that Jubril of a thing didn't tick any box regarding an angel of light. Mohammed himself never verified. The result of that visitation is a world full of terror and bloodletting, starting from Mohammed himself.
