You guys don't get it! And perhaps will not get it until Sunday morning!

1.  Some Nigerians are not comfortable with PDP but most of them are.
2.  Most Nigerians who are not comfortable with PDP have high hopes in GEJ
3.  Some Nigerians will vote for PDP, many will vote for GEJ
4.  Buhari is a hard sell; South West are only selling Bakare (who incidentally is not sellable across the Nation and to international community)
5.  Ribadu is clueless; too young and too loud; Buhari is power drunk dictator; Usurper then, attempting to usurp the youth now; Tinubu called him "Expired", meaning he is toxic, poisonous.
6.  GEJ was loved by at least 80% Nigerians at the peak of his ascension; perhaps he has lost 20% but his is still popular; He has national appeal.
7.  Agreement or not, 90% of 'non-indigenes' (trust me, they are many) will vote for GEJ in Lagos (3m at least) (ACN is not as strong as they want to make us believe in the  southwest)
8.  Voting for GEJ (or the  new PDP) will amount to progress, prosperity and consolidations of Nigeria's growth
9.  An economy that grew by over 8% (in GDP) in difficult period is a well managed econony; the reserves are growing again contrary to what opposition liars would want us believe.
10.   Nigerians will be very pleased if GEJ wins (those that will be disappointed are the BB fanatics, and they are in the minority.

Nigerians love GEJ, that is why BB, Tinubu, Ribadu are the losers.
Simply CRETIN, If your post make sense to ANYONE, such a person just returned from yaba-left, olodo!!! grin grin grin

A vote for GEJ is a vote for 4years of STAGFLATION.  A man who is replete with CORRUPTION.
If you are among the proletariats, I weep for you, because, this same CLUELESS GEJ did not
understand the meaning of ''JOB SECURITY.

VOTE BUHARI-BAKARE for PRESIDENT jare,  I can never support a ####

^You are being foolish. Did you read my post? Did I there say or imply that almijari would start from the universities.

I said:^How on earth did you misconstrue the part highlighted above as:What do understand by the phrase "goes hand in hand"? It is no wonder that Buhari appeals to the lowest common denominator.

Oh: And I dare you to challenge me on the meaning of lowest common denominator.
Mr.Dummy, you certainly confirmed your foolishess,

Read this : This also goes hand in hand with his plan to reform the almajiri system to provide education

No where did it imply that the Almajiris were to be started out in Universities. We need to read things through and assimilate before making comments.
Friend, you make sense to me but read it again without bias,

recoome:
@fxtopedia:u keep growing dumber every day, if u studied alatheia's post at all, u'll see that he mentioned that the universities cannot accomodate the applicants, more so to the tune of 70%. The almajiri's u are talking about, are they not being denied admission 4 lack of space in northern univs?
Mumu, I can see how illusion has beclouded your sense of reasoning. Common go and hug transformer.

On universities: it would help if we took a holistic look at the situation instead of just going with our emotions. The truth is that Nigeria needs more universities. Our population of 150 million (about half that of the United States) does not have enough universities. This is self-evident when we realize that approximately 1 million people write JAMB every year; and our universities can only cater for less than half that number. What are we to do? The existing universities can only cater for a limited number, so more are needed. It is not enough to improve on the existing ones. For example in metropolitan Chicago alone; there are more than 32 universities. By the time you add the 2-year and 4-year colleges and graduate schools it's more than the number of universities in Nigeria.
How many universities in Nigeria? Less than 40, if I am not mistaken and a single city in the USA has more tertiary institutions than the whole of Nigeria has universities!

The president's promise to build more universities is in order and I believe is the hallmark of one who has been to university and understands the value of education. This also goes hand in hand with his plan to reform the almajiri system to provide education. One of the things that soured me on Buhari was he had no concrete plans for the almajiri.
I don't think you are a graduate of any University. LMAO
Can you see your conclusion? Hmmm, would the almajiri start from the UNIVERSITY?

How is the regime of Abacha different from the past 12 years? Why do we always prefer to dwell in the past, while the same evils we focus on in the past are still taking place today? We have bought this idea that men like IBB, Abacha, OBJ, etc are evil, but this men are only decoys used to distract us from seeing the fact that all the atrocities that we accuse them of is still taking place today. While we focus on atrocities of the past, today's leaders are busy committing the same crimes without any checkmates.

Are public office holders (including GEJ) still not looting?
Are journalists still not being killed?
Are people still not being assassinated?
Are corrupt people still not being protected by the state?
Is the First Lady's office (Federal, States, and LGAs) still not used for money laundering?

So, what is the difference between IBB and the average Nigerian politician of today (GEJ inclusive)? For example, GEJ was a governor for 2 years, yet as part of his presidential campaign he cannot point to anything he achieved. All we are hearing is that he did not wear shoes to school.

So, why do we see the endorsement of GEJ by the governors as okay, but an endorsement from IBB as bad? Is IBB more dangerous to Nigeria than an average Nigerian governor? We really need to check our heads as we are allowing our biases to affect our thinking. IBB is no saint, but he is a lot better than some of the people in government today, even some of the ones we adore. So, let’s open our eyes and fight corruption of today. Yesterday is gone, today and tomorrow is what counts.
Good bless you jare. GEJ even said '' I never plan to be where I am today''
That means he has NO PLAN. Little wonder he is wasting our reserve,  lmao

@enyojo, I CAN SEE YOU ARE IN LAGOS. I CHALLENGE  TO SAY HOW MANY CORRUPTION FASHOLA HAS FOUGHT IN LAGOS, YET EVERYBODY IS PRAISING.

THE QUESTION IS, WHY THE PRAISE? THE SIMPLE ANSWER IS BECAUSE OF PROVISION OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND THAT IS WHY FASHOLA TODAY HAS SUCCEEDED AND IS LOVED BY AT LEAST 75% OF LAGOSIANS.

SO, ANY SERIOUS GOVERNMENT HAS MORE TO DO THAN SAYING THEIR COMING INTO POWER IS TO FIGHT CORRUPTION. WE NEED INFRASTRUCTURE AND WE NEED SOMEBODY THAT IS COMPLIANT WITH MODERN TRENDS WHO CAN LISTEN TO PEOPLE. SOMEBODY THAT KNOWS THE RIGHT PERSON TO APPOINT TO MAN A PARTICULAR MINISTRY OR OUTFIT.

BUHARI DOES NOT HAVE ALL THOSE TO HIS ADVANTAGE. MEANWHILE, HIS FIGHT FOR CORRUPTION, IS IT GOING TO BE RETROACTIVE OR , ?
Go and sit down, jo.

@ enjoyo, just ignore some of this people that illusion has beclouded thier senses of judgemet.

Thats the craziest lie i heard in ages. . lol. . .so if Al jazeera the corrupt biased Arab channel tells u anything u believe?. .

The money went to the 36 states. . including the ACN states u so praise. .

EXTERNAL RESERVES
I will be brief. . .The CBN manages the External reserves. . and it has told u that there is elevated demand for dollars due to the political risk inherent in these elections. . .The CBN offers dollars for sale on the WDAS twice weekly. . last week it offered $1 Billion( thats $600million and $400million)

The CBN has to try and meet this elevated demand so as to maintain the level of the naira and not depreciate it
depreciating the naira will lead to imported inflation and more poverty for our people

The CBN has also introduced Foreign exchange forwards and derivatives last month to try and smooth out demand for dollars. . right now it offers 1 month,2 months and 3months forward contracts. .

Sanusi has said that at the rate the reserves are building it should be significantly higher than it is now by yr end. . .right now External reserves are at $34.7 Billion dollars and rising

EXCESS CRUDE ACCOUNT

The ECA was set up to save excess oil earnings. . .however in times of economic crises like during the world financial meltdown it is expected to be used as a counter cyclical measure to prevent the country going into recession and augment government finances

Thats exactly what happened and why the money was spent. . .However the Government is trying to set up a SWF to replace the ECA. . .The bill has just been sent to the National assembly and if passed this year it will help make our excess oil earnings better and professionally managed

note that Nigeria and Iraq are the only OPEC nations without a Sovereign wealth fund. . .Pls go and ask Buhari why he didnt set one up for the country back in 1983 when he ruled?. . . .it is now left for Jonathan 30yrs late to set up. . .

Finally The Excess crude account has grown to $7Billion dollars(as at yesterday) from about $2 Billion in January 2011. . .pls give jonathan credit for that
The man is lucky and good for Nigeria. . immediately he comes in oil prices rise. . lol

pls see link below from todays businessday. . .
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/excess-crude-account-rebounds-hits-6-9bn/89484/

OIL REVENUES AND OIL EARNINGS

As for your misguided mathematics about our oil earnings. . what u did above by multiplying 2million barrels by the price of oil is plain wrong

If u do that u get our oil revenues or sales. . but every financial guru( i guess u are not one). . knows that sales is not equal to earnings. . .
what i am trying to say is that oil companies make the sales and pay taxes, royalties plus NNPCs share of the PSC/ Joint ventures

For instance the deep offshore where most of our oil production is taking place we only get 35% of the total sales plus taxes. . because we gave the companies generous concessions so as to develop those fields

as for the difference between the budgeted $65 dollar/ barrel and the current $120 dollar per barrel?. . .well that goes to the ECA for now. . and it has ballooned to $7Billion dollars in just 3months. . .showing that Jonathan is doing the right thing for Nigeria. . .

and Nigeria has much to show for its oil wealth. . of which ii earns the least in Africa by the way. . .when u do a per capita oil production. . .Libya is 6million ppl. . producing 1.5million barrels. . Angola is 25Million people. . producing 1.7Million Barrels. . while Nigeria is 150Million strong. . producing a little over 2million barrels. . .so Per capita wise. . .we dont produce much and oil cannot go too far for all these ppl. . even in libya with only 6million there is chronic unemployment

Thats why the FGN under GEJ has proposed a gas revolution that will lead to over 1million jobs. . .and diversify/power our economy

cheers
