Beaf: Better change your mind, because the propagandists are those you support; the IBB's, Atiku's and Buhari's. Boko haram is failing so the next line is to tell lies and sob stories in the press.
Of course, the SSS must be probing Buhari, but it isn't the religious event Daily Trust is making it out to be. If he is found wanting, he will either be questioned or trussed up as the law dictates. I smiled in nairaland ways, I support Buhari only, why are you lying Beaf? |
Romance › Re: Can You Marry A Lady With A 3rd Class Degree? by fxtopedia(m): 1:36pm On Oct 18, 2011 |
At times I smile seeing some nasty thread making front page! However, there could be a reason and that is why I feel like responding to this thread,
Marriage is beyond degree, material thing and even money. That does not mean that, the couple will not be wealthy, but considering those thing that can fade away before marriage could spell doom to the couple.
If you marry someone with 1st class and after 5years of marriage she started bed-wetting what would you do? Or she become blind after wedding what would you do?
Or you marry a lady with good grade but after wedding you discovered that her womb had been damaged due to abortion and that she cannot put to bed in life, what would you do? I can go on and on,
One of the virtues to look for is CHARACTER! |

pro01: I don't get it. Stay away from where? Why? Even by my own loftily cruel standards, this is quite ruthless. Besides I can see just how 'impeccable' your own spellings are. This is exemplary. . .I can only wish I had half of this sort of equanimity. . . . .But seriously you do need to work on your English. Admittedly, none of us can claim to be perfect but then it sure helps to be passable at least. Avoiding too much 'texticon' and abbreviations might expedite your improvement efforts. This SMS/chat shorthand culture has done untold damage to '2 mny pple in dis cyber generatn'. Watch it!
@ Topic
Even with an NYSC discharge certificate it is now an uphill task to find a decent job, let alone without. It would be almost impossible to secure entry-level employment with a credible organization as a fresh graduate unless you have a discharge certificate or exemption letter. It's importance or usefulness or otherwise is not the issue. We all know that in this funny country, too many people place undue emphasis on empty certificates and qualifications - many of which may have no direct correlation with a person's actual intelligence, capability, and on-the-job competence. Same goes for NYSC. It is even made worse by the existing statutes that makes it somewhat mandatory for employers to ask for the NYSC certificate or exemption letter. Accordingly, for the part time students/graduates, the only alternative might be to 'runs' an NYSC exemption letter if there is no hope of participating in the scheme. Otherwise you might only be able to work in your father's company - or in a non-graduate position elsewhere. God bless you jaree, |

freepeople: Mr. Seun, what are the criteria for threads to make it to the front page?
I can see your ploy here. You want us to bash the OP, right?
Threads make it to the front page at your discretion. It's time u define the criteria for threads to make it to the front page.
@OP, I feel embarassed by your poor spellings. Though the 2nd poster highlighted this. You did not make any conscious effort to edit your spellings. Your use of English is not up to scratch. Though I'm well aware of the fact that a good command of English language is not synonymous with brilliance. I suggest you read a lot of books, visit forums like nairaland, watch a lot of English movies(not Nollywood o), and watch a lot of English speaking channels like CNN, Foxnews, ABCnews, etc. It might take time. But it will surely come. Hold your head high. After all, English is not your mother tongue. Why not correct bad construction as well as nasty punctuation couple with yeye spelling of yours before correcting the OP, Must you gag his mouth because of his/her error. Nobody is Mr. Perfect when it comes to Oyinbo. |

The fear of bank loan is the beginning of wisdom. Even the Bank employees are scared of taking the loans because of job insecurity.
