Pull backs - after a major pull to the upside , there will be pull backs - this is inevitable, weak entries will surely get shaken out before the trend resumes

Chibuking81: Please dear friends, I have some questions on Oando, and seriously needed an answer.
When will Oando forensic audit commence?, or has the audit commence already? If yes, how long will it take, i.e, how many weeks or months. If after the audit, the findings indicate administrative wrong doing, please what will be the fate of the current management, and what will be its effect on the Oando share price, north or south movement?
These days, I see Oando share market movement, some times on full bid, after a while it will be on fully heavy offer. Who is biding and who is offloading? we truly dont know. even the Oga's in Oando dont know , hv asked dem . |

Deadlytruth: To make profit in the Nigerian Stock Market you need to approach it like you are playing Nigerian politics where there are no permanent friends nor enemies but permanent interest. The quoted companies are the parties, you are the politician while fundamentals, market situation, prevailing investor sentiments, etc are the voters. the difference here is that you can belong to more than one party at a time. So once a stock you are friends with is obviously no longer going to serve your ultimate investment interest, there is nothing wrong with defecting to any other one. It is however also necessary to do your DD about how much your permanent investment interest is realizable in the stock you have chosen to defect to. word sir |

mendes911: Can you explain what leads to a situation whereby a stock continues to drop in price after a period of supposedly consolidation.... What's the trigger? If a stock is trading above its 200 dma for ex., consolidations or pull back will come and they may take days, weeks in different forms since d bulls get exhausted but eventually prices will tend to continue in d direction of the major trend line. But the some corrections may drop by up to 50% and some may hold on to their gains (Afriprud comes to mind here) before resuming their major trend path. We may see some of this soon (days or weeks), esp with stocks dat may have gained massively like 200% for example in a short period , a correction shud be expected but its not necessarily a trend change |

Agbalowomeri: @fxuser:
What do you think the amazon monthly chart would be saying between 2014 through 2016? I think this is more akin to hindsight is 20-20. The inactive investors many times make the most returns. That is not to say they were following the trend. I am very sure the monthly chart would have been screaming sell or at best neutral between those three years. ur very right boss .. a red month is a sell for me ... infact if prices drops or is trading below prev monthly close .. arrgh im out oh ... a healthy trend usually takes a month or 2 rest period but me never mature reach dat level , i no like wahala But once price breaks above that prev highest monthly close we are back in for a ''possibility'' of a fresh move GTbank , Sugar , Flour and all the big movers all exhibit this same behaviour or let cal dem ''possibilities'' In fact i study GT chart endlessly , once SP broke its prev monthly high after some weeks on consolidation ... it jumps straight ahead for a fresh move.. the 25 to n33 , d N33 to 40 , then 40 to 50 .. amazing stuff #MegaYearAhead |

DeRuggedProf: I shifted from trading the daily timeframe to the weekly timeframe, now I am moving ahead to trade the monthly timeframe.
Reasons: 1. Hot money to be used for the real bull is still in prison, yet to be released..... 2. Some very good stocks are still far behind their fair values. 3. Every attempt at a pullback has failed woefully e.g see how fidelity charged back at the bear when it dared his door bell. 4. I no longer play with the issue of commissions when my stop loss is not triggered. 5. Most times, I jump over only to complete the profit I would have made, short of commissions, if I did not jump. 6. I am not under any obligation to trade every day/week/month. It is my account.... 7. My stocks of interest are looking too beautiful on the monthly chart to prost*tute with the daily noise.... See this Amazon ''MONTHLY'' chart . The monthly cant hear d Noise .. this how these chaps turn 10k usd to 10m usd by sitting still with the trend #MovingOn . ., FA will be shouting PE too high , price too high umm . We TA folks need up our game and learn to sit still even more with d trend and never ignore price breaks to new levels as oppurtunites #ChartStudy #KeepLearning

Also, the bolded part is one that still confuses me, what volume is enough volume?
