Except you're paying with a naira card that still has access to USD transactions, you will not be paying at bank rate.
Alternatively, you can visit their physical office and make a bank transfer to them from your mobile app. I did that with Ethiopia airline. (Naira equivalent of the amount) it would not be at bank rate tho

As at when you did it it’s what was generally acceptable, so even if the law have changed or not, your certificate is not affected in any way.. it’s legal and binding but to put your mind at ease, get more opinions from others

But im so confused right now as to whether to go with him or leave him behind, because I was told that I would not be able to work and as well the day care fee in Toronto is extremely expensive. I also have two other children 9 and 6 which we plan their application when I enter Canada together with my hubby

App submitted with upfront medical: 17 August 2022.
Biometric for spouse: 19 August
Medical passed: 25 August
Eligibility: 6 December
PPR for all: 6 December.

I pray everybody expecting a decision receives a positive one soon.

Affordable might be gone with the wind at the moment but you can still get a reasonable price with cheap airlines like Ethiopia airlines, Kenya airlines. Please ensure to check that you don't book a flight with stopover in US or any Schengen country cos you will need a visa to pass through. Also avoid flights with terminal or airport change except you're disciplined enough not to miss your flight.

Qatar, British Egypt airlines are expensive but you can still check to see if they have any cheap flights.

Pls a friend of mine got his approval on Tuesday the issue is that as his bvl dropped , medical request dropped for his Kid's he instantly uploaded the e form for the kids but his ppr dropped and his kids are yet to drop now he doesn't know which way forward I was suggesting to send web form but I said let me seek for other advice here.
His not on Nairaland but pls what do you advice , other gurus in the house pls your advice will be highly appreciated

Its not mine but I have been here before to lament so it's only fair to share the news as well.
Sis In Law left on student visa January 2022.
Visiting visa for my brother and daughter was submitted same January 2022 and the wait started.
In August after reading plenty feedback here, I suggested we apply for SOWP for hubby and study permit for the daughter.
Application submitted August 18 and Medicals done upfront as well.
Another wait started up on till yesterday morning, there was still no movement on the application. Towards evening, we noticed movement (as we kuku dey check almost every sec..lol)
Voila...the long awaited arrived same 24th November.
My brother is yet to believe what just happened sef. God proved himself again at the 11th hour.
To those still expecting, please explore all you can..I can't even say specifically how we arrived here. Above all, God made it happen!!!
To those who probably submitted VV before and wondering if to proceed with SOWP....I will advise that you do and leave both applications open.

click on international pay option
follow the prompts, put in the amount you want, (use your personal email, not your unb email as student accounts fround against that).
pay in USD or CAD. download your payment instruction pdf file.
apply for Form A on the tradesystems
start the wait game with the bank or follow them up

CIBC/flywire are payment merchants. Once you generate your payment invoice from their website, proceed to the form A portal and apply with the details on the invoice.
