my Guy with your response I beleive you are in europe and knows the system well, so much of saying do not come over it's hard, pls what if one travels with tourist Visa and get's work at that process can it be possible to get permit, let me be clear, I am a footballer and I intend to go with tourist (schengen) and then tour around for trials and at that process can I get a small work to be keeping body and soul together, and the question is if I get any can I get permit?
you can't work with a tourist visa, nobody will employ you. First question u will be asked is if u have a work permit. For d football issue, I really don't know how it works but 80% sure it is same process.

I went to a school where they teach German and the only course there is left for refugee and guess what, it is free paid by the government. For papers, my guy d straight way you will stay here 10 years except God helps u and you are proactive. Nobody will advice u not to come, but if truly ur plan is to come nd study, give it a try. I'm really dying to read jst about anything from B.sc students. Experiences and all that, i knw the thread no doubt is masters dominated but isnt there anyone out there at all? Or is the process after being admitted till settling down and life over there same for both parties? Im just being a curious prospective applicant. Goodmorning fam smiley
guy no die o. Lol. Weather bsc or msc once you get here, everything becomes new and strange. If you don't tell your neighbor you are here for bsc, they will never know. Like someone mentioned, work load is the only difference and I agree with him/her but I will also say depending on course your studying. Like me, I have 5 compulsory modules and 1 elective. And minimum of 3 most be registered for exam. Lectures from Monday to Friday no free day. While msc have like 2 free days from Monday to Friday.
All the intendings, I will advice you guys to make research on modules of courses you are applying to study and see if you can cope with it. Don't just look at the name of the course. Example resource management can contain physics, chemistry and mathematics and normally with the "management" a lot of pple will conclude it is a social science course. A Lot of Nigerians in my school are now looking for ways to change course because they can't cope with the physics, maths.they don't even have foundation on them. One saying I thought, I thought will not help here. Danke schon

I taya oh..de just be dissing the Winter jacket like say e dey completely useless.
Yes, I got some also, and one of them is useless, the others I got are not 'useless'. And guess how much I bought each of them? 600 Naira. That is approximately 2 EURO if I am not mistaken.

Galads, Wilkommen in Hamburg. Its steady 7 degrees abi? And I have been reliably assured that its going to get worse...Which end you dey?

PS: The school I went to in Naija wasn't completely useless afterall. If only we dug deeper, were taught software packages and fiddled more with practicals?
my guy na steady 3-4 degree o for luneburg. 600 is a fair price if only it will do correct work for you. I bought H&M today for about 46euro but really thick and leather. With my naija jacket d cold way enter me, I nearly run mad. But immediately I wore the new one, like seriously the cold disappeared.
I shuffle luneburg(close to hamburg) and oldenburg.

My guys yet to arrive germo pls do your best to get accomodation on ground before leaving Nigeria or else you get stranded. This place nobody go look your face o. International office only advice me and didn't care if I sleep on the street. Imagine a room I went to check and we were up to 20 people interested for the small room. Youth hostel filled only option was a hotel for 105euro /night.

Just chilling in my wife's room drinking my krombacher beer and watching 100 TV series and covered under a really big blanket. Men d cold here na die. Bought beer yesterday and instead of putting it in fridge, she put it at the balcony. This evening as if I just removed it from freezer in naija.

I arrived hamburg yesterday on a really stressful flight and thanks to stupid turkish airline who delayed my flight in lagos from 10pm to 1am. Arrive instabul about 9 in the morning and change my boarding pass to 11.10am. Got to hamburg about 3 pm and thank God I already have a lyca sim that my madam got for me. Loaded at the airport and called her for pick up.
I under rated the cold, cause I said to her it is not yet full winter so am sure d cold is like hamattan in the north naija and refuse to carry a jacket from Nigeria. At the airport I was happy and said in my mind I win and didn't know the heater ws hot inside. But when I stepped out of the airport, my teeth started jamming and water dropping from my eyes when nobody beat me. Abeg guys even if d jacket in naija isn't thick, buy ooooo. For load( food stuff) if u don't have somebody to come pick u, Abeg carry what only u can carry. No good samarithan here o. Na OYO.
Am here to assist anybody that needs my help. Might not be able to read all but like someone said, I will reply all my mention. Danke schon

I remember that faithful day I called Eke after following this thread for some time and learning from people's experience. I asked him how we can meet and he told me his location. Lo and behold we stay in same area. In few hours Eke was in my house and I had the opportunity to tap from his knowledge. From his words I became encourage that getting this visa is as easy as abc so I started the process immediately.
When ur good, the right time will never pass you by. He told me go to dutchland and succeed and is his turn. 'EKE go to dutchland and SUCCEED. @Eke40seven I will like to host you on Sunday if you don't mind. Pls PM Me if your gonna make it.

Thanks to God almighty, my wife and all my e-family cause without you, this won't be a reality. Cottbus and oldenburg which one make sense to hustle? I have not decided yet
CrimeRe: Scam/ Forgry At NIPOST Office, Who Do I Report To? by Galads(op):
I will like to inform everybody who has contributed in one way or the other (by advice and comment ) that this issue has being resolved.
On Monday morning I geared up on my blue rig and drove to ikeja(nacho). I have some important people there as friends and I went straight to them. They directed me accordingly and I found myself at Nipost head office (custom office). I met with their boss and my custom duty was reduced to 5k and I was asked if it's ok by me. I wonder what will happen to civilians .
From his words, they are making revenue for the Federal government and all that.
From what I got to find out, that money collected by NIPOST is remitted back to custom while they both know percentage to take( legal scam). If the money goes straight to federal government then no complain but some pple sit there and enrich their pocket in disguise. For me, I will never ever be charged excess on any custom duty again.
, because I will pay what I need to pay but for all other pple in this shoes or will be in this situation later, you can fight it out.
If you truly know the goods are allowed through customs ( non prohibited) and it is not yahoo, you can fight by contesting it with customs in charge( I can give you clue if contacted) . For this fight, I can't fight alone because when contacted from above I was told to just contest and pay the normal dues that the money is going to the Federal account which you and I know is only 5% that will reach there. I hope the new government will look for a way to block this loop hole.
Wish you all a happy new month and Pls endeavour to put me in your prayers even if it is for a second. "TOGETHER we will make NIGERIA great"
Danke schon

TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Galads(m): 2:24pm On Sep 01, 2015
obs3rver:
When you opened your account at the Embassy, was it your corresponding address in Germany you used? If yes, I think that might be the issue, and they require your current address in Nigeria, since the application to open the account originated from an Embassy in Nigeria. Send them this address, making sure to include all they asked for. For the "optionally additional address lines" mentioned, I think this means you can include other applicable addresses asides home address. For instance, I used a P. O. Box address, just in case they need to send any hardcopy document, because at the bottom of the page I saw where they said the address given will be my dispatch address, and I had no issue whatsoever. Follow the format used in the "registered address" section of the DB account opening form.

Was it a no-reply email? If no, then reply the email, and make sure their inquiry and the subject of the email shows. You can also copy the two DB emails someone dropped above, in your email. Someone monitors them, and might be able to forward your email to the appropriate section. If it was a no-reply email, you can still reply the email but blind copy (BCC) the two emails someone dropped earlier, or you can check their website for other applicable emails.

I hope this helps.
thanks
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Galads(m): 2:24pm On Sep 01, 2015
O
pompido:
I believe this is simply a case of DB insisting on you using your home country address as it is generally assumed that you are opening the account from your country.

Simply reply the email sent to you and put in your Nigerian address in the format they have stated. e.g

street with house no., Alade Street, Plot 21. Apapa-Oshodi Expressway.
postal/zip code 23401
city, Lagos State
optionally additional address lines (e.g. c/o),
country" . Nigeria.

The DoNotReply clause does not apply in your case. So do the needful and move on to the next thing.
I have done exactly this, just wanted to be 100% sure am on track. Danke schon
