VictorAB: Hypying ?? Really?? Banks like Diamond Bank, UBA, Access Bank pay up to 20% Higher than what I Quoted.
Banks like Stanbic IBTC may actually pay Lower than the ranges I mentioned, as pay in the bank is not determined by grade but by individuals' negotiation. If someone is a branch manager of a bank, what is the equivalent grade in the banking hierarchy? The same as head office Manager grade or lower? |

Adesiji77: Not entirely accurate. Salary range differs from bank to bank. What you would earn as an unconfirmed staff would be higher compared to when your appointment is confirmed. Besides, a few banks have different salary bands even for the same grade!
By the way, why are you "hyping" bank workers' pay like this?
engrrichie92, company500, hardbody Make it accurate then. Many of you just like to criticise, but you have nothing to contribute. Well done, VictorAB. |

France has decided to post 90,000 policemen around a city for an upcoming event, a number I highly doubt Nigeria has in police force due to our man-know-man system of employment. A job like policing has no limit to how many individuals should receive employment abi you've not heard of England's community police system whereby members of the public can register as first point sentries before real policemen can take over a situation? And bunch of senseless statements. So if all those with tattoos and even those with tribal marks are excluded from joining NPF, how does that limit a country like Nigeria from getting enough people? You felt by just mention 90,000 you would make sense? You could have done better and mention 50bn from China and your statement would still be senseless. You come top-up your senseless statement with "A job like policing has no limit to how many individuals should receive employment". Another robustly senseless statement. Employment into police should be limitless? |

Parisfran: 2 % is over 3 million people. Not such a low number in actual terms.
What is even the percentage of Nigerians that own bank accounts in the first place. 70 million accounts in a country where most account holders have 3 bank accounts should tell you that 70 percent of the population don't even operate a bank account in the first place. This is the first person out of all posters looking at things in a sensible way and showing she is educated. |

Politics › Re: FASHOLA: I Didn’t Promise Regular Power In Six Months by Gamesmart: 11:44pm On May 26, 2016 |
PROPHETmichael: This is what i think.......
"If another government was in power, let us assume General Buhari was the President of Nigeria, he would not withdraw the subsidy. He will fix the problem. He will audit who is taking the money in the subsidy, who is paying what, how the money multiply three times in one year and fish out the thieves and deal with them". "So, why do you think Jonathan lacks the political will to deal with them?" "Because they financed his election. But Buhari would have sorted that out. That is the first thing to do. Now, while you are paying the subsidy, even one quarter of what you are paying is a lot. General Buhari's administration would have ensured that within 12 months all the refineries are working at full capacity. His administration would have built the fourth refinery that will bring our domestic production to the point that we don't need to import a single drop of petrol. And once we can produce our petrol from our own crude oil, at out own cost, we can sell it at any price we like. That is what Buhari's government would have done. Nigerians made a very big mistake for not electing Buhari, and they are learning every day. Many people have told me that they voted for Jonathan and they are regretting it now. There is no question of Buhari withdrawing subsidy because he has been Petroleum Minister, Chairman of Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) and so on. He built three out of the four refineries we have in this country. And he built that out of patriotism to ensure that we can produce domestically. So, the question of withdrawing subsidy would not even be on the table". - Malam Nasir El-Rufai, (Vanguard Newspaper January, 08, 2012).

PROPHETmichael: According to Fashola, a "serious" government will fix power problem within six months; few days from now will make it one year since this government took over, yet the problem has gone from bad to worse. So based on Fashola's principle of uninterrupted power supply, is this not an indictment on this administration that it is not a "serious" government? What I said was you should answer the question, not to ask a question. What do you think? Not what Fashola thinks. Not what Obama thinks. |

Politics › Re: Boko Haram Willing To Discuss Surrender And Release Of Chibok Girls by Gamesmart: 10:49am On May 22, 2016 |
uscofield: Islamic extremist militants Boko Haram, who have killed at least 2,600 people in Nigeria, reportedly want to broker a deal with the government to release the remaining kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls in return for escaping execution. Two hundred schoolgirls were seized from a school in Chibok two years ago and have never been traced or found. It is believed only a third of them remain alive. According to a report in The Times, senior members of the terrorist group told Nigerian newspaper Leadership Friday that it was prepared to negotiate a surrender and release the hostages on the condition they would not be not betrayed by the government or killed for giving up arms. "We want to surrender because things are getting worse," said Amir Muhammad Abdullahi, who is reportedly Boko Haram's second in command. He said no side was winning the battle and that only a third of the girls remained as "the rest have been martyred". It comes as two Chibok girls have reportedly been released – one of whom called Amina Ali Darsha Nkeki who was found near Sambisa forest and believed to have been freed as a 'gesture of good faith' by the militants. However, there was confusion mounting over whether the second girl, (who has not been named), was freed in a raid on a Boko Haram camp on 19 May, was from Chibok. Yakubu Nkeke told The Times: "I can say in my capacity as the head of the Chibok Abducted Girls Parents group that this girl is not among the abducted girls."
Who are Nigeria's Boko Haram terrorists? Boko Haram (recently renamed Iswap) fights against Western influence in Nigeria and aims to impose its version of Sharia law on the country. The group declared an Islamic caliphate in Gwoza, along the Cameroon border, in August 2014. Boko Haram has raided several cities in the north of the country in a bid to take control of more land. Three states − Adamawa, Borno and Yobe − have been under a state of emergency since May 2013, due to Boko Haram's attacks. The group has killed at least 2,600 people since the beginning of 2015. More than 180 have been killed since the beginning of June.

Boko Haram killings is being based at around 2,600? Only a third of the girls are alive? It is believed by who that Boko Haram released the first girl in "good faith"? No side is winning the war? |
