I don't know whether Boko Haram can coordinate attacks or not but as someone who lives in the north east I know BH cannot attack and takeover towns without response from our military. We have once lived in fear of BH attacking and taking over our towns but now they don't have the capacity to do so. We all know that their going back to suicide bombings is an indication of the lost of their capacity to launch attacks and takeover territories. |
fistonati:Ameen. |
The killings were avoidable if both sides excercised some measure of restrain. The Shiites have this penchant for taking their children and women to their processions which more often than not turn to violence and to me this is highly irresponsible. |
mygee2:Just check. |
Using the case of the former commissioner in Adamawa state, who is given a ten year jail term for stealing fifty-one million naira, for every five million naira stollen give him a year. Divide the total amount stollen by Dasuki by five million, what you get is the number of years he'll get. Shikena. |

OP please check well. El Zakzaky attended ABU Zaria but did not graduate because he was expelled from the university for his role in students' uprising, so he never tore his university certificate because he has none. |
Please be honest. Do you believe that INEC can bend the rules to favour David Mark without his prompting? |
The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), University of
Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) chapter has decried the
mal-administration unleashed on staff and patients as
well as the untold decadence eroding the hospital meant
to take care of the health needs of the citizenry.
President of the association, UBTH Chapter, Dr. Omorogbe
Owen said, despite being a government hospital, UBTH
has the highest billings in fees, admission deposit and
costs for services in the country, the services provided
cannot be compared with unwarranted charges on
unsuspecting Nigerians.
“Patients at UBTH are made to pay N3,900 daily for the
general wards after paying an admission deposit of N
20,000; bed fee for specialist ward costs N15,000 daily
after an admission deposit of N50,000. Even with the
worsening economic situation in the country, the
management insistence on extorting high fees from
patients who cannot afford them has forced many
Nigerians to seek alternative care, which in effect has
grossly affected the training of medical students and
doctors with the declining as the patient load.
“Patients, especially those in and around Edo State and
environs, are now forced to travel to parts of the country
for medical care where services are affordable. At Irrua
Specialist Hospital in Edo State and University College,
Ibadan in Oyo State, bed fee is N1500 and N1000 per day
respectively; the same is applicable to Obafemi Awolowo
University Teaching Hospital where bed fee is N1000
daily,” he said. |
This story sounds somehow. How did he get admission to study to study in A Level without O Level result having being expelled from Secondary school in SS 2? I wonder why do some people concoct these terrible stories to show that they were really very bad before they accept Jesus. |
I pray that God make him see reason and repent from his evil ways and if he cannot repent may he be afflicted with leprosy that would slowly eat up his limps, blind him and eventually kill him before he succeed in his evil mission of instigating a war that could kill lots of people and destroy their property. Nnamdi Kanu would surely never enjoy peace until he recant from his evil mission. |
Definitely I'll always vote Buhari over Jonathan. |
A fresh crisis is rocking the peoples Democratic Party,
PDP, as an aspirant for the national chairmanship of the
party, Barrister Ahmed Ali Gulak, has dragged the National
Working Committee of the party to court for allegedly
refusing to initiate the process of filling the position, which
is occupied by Prince Uche Secondus in acting capacity.
Gulak, a former political adviser to ex-President Goodluck
Jonathan, in an interview with journalists in Abuja
Wednesday, alleged that Secondus had refused to initiate
the process of filling the vacuum in the PDP’s leadership,
created by the resignation of Adamu Mu’azu last May.
The national chairmanship of the opposition PDP is
currently zoned to the Northeast, where Gulak hails from.
According to him, “the constitution of the party is clear that
there shall be NWC which shall be headed by a chairman.
As it is today, the NWC of the PDP is not properly
constituted. And any act or correspondence purported to
be made by anybody in acting capacity is null and void.
That is why I have gone to court”.
Gulak further said the PDP could not be put back on track
unless the constitution of the party is followed.
“On May 29 immediately the PDP lost the election at the
federal level, the former chairman, Adamu Muazu,
resigned his position as chairman of the party. And the
constitution of the party is clear about the fact that
somebody from the northeast where Muazu comes from
should be appointed to replace him. But the deputy
national chairman, Uche Secondus, who is claiming to be
acting chairman, has refused to initiate any process for the
fulfilment of this constitutional provision.
“Some past leaders and elders of the party went to the
NWC and told them that if we want to re-brand the PDP
and ensure it bounces back, we must follow the
constitution and properly organise and constitute the
organs of our party, especially the NWC and the BoT where
two vacancies exist because both chairmen resigned. But
it appears that members of the NWC are not ready and
willing to comply with the constitutional provision that
calls for the replacement of those that resigned.
“I had earlier written and submitted my letter of intent,
among others from the northeast that are interested in
filling the vacancy. Myself, Amb Damagun, Alhaji Gambo
Lawal, Senate Bala Mohammed and Senator Paul
Wamkpama.
“All of us wrote our letters indicating our interest in filling
the vacancy created by Muazu’s resignation. It was
incumbent on the NWC to initiate the process where a
replacement will be obtained. My state chapter of the party
sent a letter to them, recommending me from the
northeast, but they’re hell bent on flouting the constitution
of the party.
“The constitution of the party is clear that there shall be
NWC which shall be headed by a chairman. As it is today,
the NWC of the PDP is not properly constituted. And any
act or commission or correspondence purported to be
made by anybody in acting capacity is null and void.
That’s why I’ve gone to court”.
Gulak, who was a governorship aspirant of the PDP in
Adamawa State during the last elections, said the suit he
filed at Court No. 4 of the FCT High Court is coming up for
hearing on November 25, 2015.

PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU
BUHARI HAS ASSURED THE
BATCH OF NIGERIA’S
GOLDEN EAGLETS WHO FIRST
WON THE UNDER-17 WORLD
CUP IN 1985, THAT HIS
ADMINISTRATION WILL
FULFILL THE PROMISES
MADE 30 YEARS AGO DURING
A RECEPTION HELD AT
DODAN BARRACKS WITH THE
PLAYERS, IN CELEBRATION
OF THEIR OUTSTANDING
VICTORY.
In a statement released by Mal. Garba Shehu, Senior Special
Assistant on Media and Publicity, President Buhari said it had
been brought to his attention that a directive which he gave to
the state governments at the time had not been complied with.
“IT IS A PITY THAT THOSE
PROMISES WERE NEVER
FULFILLED,” HE SAID. “IT IS
UNFORTUNATE THAT OUR
PLAYERS, WHO DID US
PROUD ON THE WORLD
STAGE WENT UNREWARDED
FOR THEIR EFFORTS,
DESPITE A PRESIDENTIAL
DIRECTIVE TO THE STATE
ADMINISTRATORS THAT
THEY BE HONORED IN THEIR
HOME STATES.”
THE STATEMENT NOTED
THAT, OF THE VARIOUS
PROMISES MADE TO THE
PLAYERS AT THE TIME, ONLY
THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
FULFILLED ITS OWN
COMMITMENT–BY
SPONSORING THE PLAYERS
ON A TRIP TO WATCH THE
1986 WORLD CUP, WHICH
TOOK PLACE IN MEXICO. THE
HOUSES, SCHOLARSHIPS
AND NAMING OF STREETS
AFTER EACH PLAYER WERE
SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN
CATERED FOR BY THE
STATES. THE STATEMENT
NOTED THAT SHORTLY
AFTER THE COMMITMENT
WAS GIVEN, THE MILITARY
ADMINISTRATION UNDER
GENERAL MUHAMMADU
BUHARI WAS REPLACED AND
THAT DESPITE REPEATED
REPRESENTATIONS MADE TO
SUCCEEDING GOVERNMENTS
BY THE PLAYERS AND THEIR
OFFICIALS, THE PROMISES
MADE WERE LEFT
UNFULFILLED.
“I APOLOGIZE FOR
WHATEVER
EMBARRASSMENT AND
DISILLUSIONMENT IN YOUR
COUNTRY THESE RAISED
AND THEN DASHED HOPES
MAY HAVE CAUSED YOU,” HE
SAID. “MY GOVERNMENT
WILL DO ALL WITHIN ITS
POWER TO REMEDY THE
SITUATION.”

Yesterday they sent me a message telling me that my re-subscription failed because of insufficient funds and that I am in grace period. The funny part of it is that I have never subscribe to the service and my money was being deducted for a service I have never subscribed to and more would have been deducted had there been money in the account. I don't know what NCC is doing regarding this daylight robbery by the network providers.

The Chairman of the Taraba State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar has ordered that Hajiya Aisha Jumai Alhassan be immediately sworn in as the governor of Taraba State. The tribunal sitting at the Appeal Court Headquarters in Abuja on Friday held that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) did not hold a proper primary to nominate its candidate Darius Ishaku who was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The el3ection held on April 11, 2015. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/breaking-tribunal-sacks-taraba-governor-ishaku/118297.html |
TippyTop:Amaechi was governor before Wike Wike was Amaechi's boy so nothing is new. |
ExInferis:What is lopesided there? Where were you when Sule Lamido and his sons and Nyako and his son were arrested and taken to courts? |
laudate:This is my problem with democracy. Sometimes the majority just don't get it right. Audu contested the APC primaries securing majority votes cast by the delegates. |
The noose is tightening. |
[quote author=morbeta post=38549435]Mr Jauro who recently embarked on a media tour to position himself for the substantive position, professing President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti corruption mantra, even though he is a PPD card carrying member, has employed his biological Daughter Mrs Cynthia James (nee Jauro) and her husband Mr. James in one swoop, much to the angst of NIMASA staff. This Cynthia name made me think that the story is fake. |
frankyychiji:Yeah but also fact. |
When I read that 84 senators passed a vote of confidence on Saraki I know the 84 senators will turn out to be 25 just like the 50 senators who escorted Saraki to CCT turning out to be 25 only. |
It is stated clearly in the report that the President's itinery was bungled by the Nigerian mission in New York which led to the missing of the session on Boko Haram. If PMB is to be blamed at all he shall be blamed for not removing the incompetent head of the mission appointed by GEJ. |
Brooklynsouth:Did you read the story at all or is it just a problem of comprehension? Who told you that the Lamido of Adamawa is a poor man? |
My Allah grant him Aljannah firdaus. |
Saraki committed a very big blunder by refusing to appear before the tribunal and it is the blunder that caused him all the disgrace. He should have simply appear before the tribunal plead not guilty and seek for bail. The fact the tribunal didn't send him on remand showed that there is no malice on the part of the tribunal. |
Dealing with Saraki is necessary for the survival of APC as a party. |
APC has done whatever can be done to be fair to Saraki but he took it as a sign of weakness. To maintain party loyalty and cohesion APC must ensure that it does whatever is allowed by our laws to deal with Saraki so as to serve as a deterrent to those who may harbour the thought of harming the overall interest of the party for their selfish ends. |
Jwhizzy:It is this case they will use to force the judge to do his job with regard to Saraki. |
No source? |
