PoliticsRe: I Don’t Know My True Age – Obasanjo by gartamanta: 6:56pm On Mar 02, 2017
I remember that Obasunjos son Gbenga fell out with his father and revealed that Obasunjo was much older than his official age.

I also saw pictures of Obasunjos first marriage, going by his ofgicial age, he would have been 25 but he looked well into his 30's.

I have a feeling that Obasunjo and Buhari each about 10 years older than their official ages but they had to reduce their ages to enable them get into the Army

This is not a guess work, this is the reality u don't want to accept. How can u even call people that where never with u ur enemy. Do your referendum in ur 5 Igbo states, the Niger delta is not interested. Is it by force that a referendum must be conducted in a region that is not yours, or a region where the Igbo population is not much. The eastern region no longer exist. Just like how Nigeria created the Old Eastern Region that Ojukwu fraudulently declared as Biafra, that is how Nigeria divided the old eastern region into the South south and the south east for its own convenience, it's not like the igbos created it or the region was just there. Do igbos even control the region? Do it in ur 5 Igbo states and get ur 100% ur looking for and go, stop targeting their oil to add to ur barren region.
South South and South East that is not even recognised by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was created by who? Lol

Laughable.

As I said before, only a fraudster will not want the people to decide their future via a democratic instrument of a referendum. Thats why Nigerians can never win the argument on Biafra.

Dude, I am as Ibibio as Philip Effiong was. Screw it ; I am more Ibibio than Philip Effiong ever was! All right-thinking Ibibios dissociated themselves from the Biafra scam when the aforementioned greed-fueled scheming in my prequel post was brought to fore.

Philip Effiong was asked to ditch the Biafra cause as far back as 1968 but he tried to be a hero, capaining a deserted, sinking ship and till his death, he was treated like a leper.

Philip Effiong was treated and buried like a commoner! Till date, he's never celebrated in his hometown and, by extension, Akwaibom State. You want to argue facts with KingSLAY? Bring it on! smiley

Cursed be any being who tries to lump us into the downhill snowballing mound of disaster called "Biafra"!
Is Philip Effiong an Ibibio man? I thought he was an Anang man? The Akwa-Cross area can be confusing at times separating Anang/Oron/Abi/Ibibio/ Efik etc

Thats where Referendum comes in. The Biafrans want a referendum, the lower Niger congress want a referendum, even former Niger Delta militants such as Boy Loaf and Asari Dokubo have called for a referendum.

Infact, a refendum will give those of you who dont want Biafra the opportunity to officially reject it forever with the your votes.

It could be that the Ogoja man is comfortable with Igbos, it could be that Legbo people are comfortable with Igbos, it could be that the Oron nation are comfortable with Igbos. Who knows?

So a referendum is held, those who vote to be with Igbos exit Nigeria with them. Those who vote against then stay in Nigeria and continue with 'one Nigeria'. With Igbos gone, you guys dont have to worry about Biafra ever again.

Everybody gets what they want and is happy. So what is the problem?

As the saying goes, majority carries the vote. U don't even need referendum to decide if the Niger delta support Biafra, the amount of callers from Niger delta is very very tiny compared to the multitude of igbos that call radio Biafra. That alone is like a referendum and proof. That alone should tell u that the Niger delta is not interested. Few people may be interested, but not the whole Niger delta. A referendum there is a waste of time and wishful thinking
That is not a referendum, that is guesswork. Referendum is when everybody votes on their future. Referendum is democratic instrument. Anyone who is against a referendum is usually an enemy of the people, be it Niger Delta or not, because only a fraudster will want the peoples future decided on cheap sentiments when the people can decide theie future themselves via referendum. I have no doubt that the minorities of southern will vote overwhelmingly to leave Nigeria with their Igbo neigbours in referendum. The reason is simple, they have far more to lose in Nigeria. It is one thing to worry about one majority, it is another to worry about three.

And because 2 or more people spoke, you assumed that they are not in support of Biafra? Is yoyr own logic any better. Thats why you should support a referendum, like the Biafrans want, so everyone can choose where they belong instead saying what you dont know.

PoliticsRe: What Restructure Nigeria Is Really About by gartamanta: 11:44am On Mar 02, 2017
Restructuring Nigeria into six Regions aint bad, but it is never going to happen.

Restrcturing into 6 Regions would mean:

The dissolution of all 36 states and their state assemblies

The divolution of powers from Abuja to the Regions

The dissolution of the Senate

The abrogation of 'executive president' and commander in chief. In its place, ceremonial president who will also be commander in chief and Primeminister who will be head of Government.

The complete dismantling of the unitary system

They wont allow this. As far as the North is concerned, there is no difference between a restructured SW/SE/SS and Oduduwa Republic/Republic of Biafra/Niger Delta Republic and they are right.

Retructuring is not going to happen in Nigeria unless those who want it are prepared to go to war with the North.

All of this was discussed at Aburi, signed, sealed and delivered............

But the North wanted the economic and political control of Nigeria which led to the war.

The North will never agree to Regionalism/true federalism/resource control

It goes against what they stand for and it is they who stand to lose the most. Anyone hoping for true federalism in Nigeria is wasting their time big time!

Dear Biafrans I support your struggle 100% but my problem is your approach. I would want to suggest the following procedures and I can assure you it’s going to work out successfully. If you can unite and follow the following steps then I can tell, welcome to the Republic of Biafra in advance.

STEP 1: Withdraw all your services from Nigeria as you are the backbone of the country.

STEP 2: Withdraw your kinsmen who are public office holders e.g. Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president, Peter Obi the D.G of S.E.C

STEP 3: Reject all the ministerial nomination from the so called Nigeria.

STEP 4: Endeavour to reject Federal Allocation. You are very industrious people, you will be better off without it.

STEP 5: Stop all form of importation through the Nigerian sea port so that Nigeria will crumble without your Tax.

STEP 6: Recall all your sons and daughters from all parts of Nigeria to relocate home until this fight is over then Nigeria can beg them to come back as expatriate.

STEP 7: Lock up all your shops in Idumota, Alaba international, Kano main market, and every other market even in remote villages across the country.

STEP 8: Go beyond closing of the Niger bridge, stop all Nigerians from buying or selling in Onitsha Main market or Ariaria market in Aba.

STEP 9: Make sure you make your Visa very hard for Nigerians.

STEP 10: This fight can be achieved without Violence just like south Sudan.

Finally, make sure you don’t fight it with weapons. Igbo kwenu!!! hee!.

Funny suggestions aren’t they?!? What do you think of these suggestion; good for the cause of Biafra or not?

Igbo brothers say something
It was all done in 1967, it didnt help. Nigeria still came to fight.

Fratermathy is right! If there is a need for us to look elsewhere, we would do without attaching ourselves with whoever. And just like he rightly pointed to you, small voice isn't the same as being irrelevant. We might not be as large as the Igbos but we are definitely no political slaves, like some group mentioned days back.

Truth is, we could have the FG listen to us if we want her to, and we won't do it as an ethnic group, but a people from a region - the South South.

I guess it does not come as a shock to you as to why you guys, including your pan-African group, are not really taken serious by the FG, despite being a 'majority tribe'. Juxtapose a while while and brood on who is more politically relevant between the two.

Yes, you do because you need the numbers. It is the very same reason whoever did the craze of a map included every South South region into a phantom legislature. It won't be an earth shattering loss for sure, but do not make us enemies of the state. We have no hand in a loony cause.
Dont decieve your self, there are no regions. There are no people called SE or SS. Neither South East or South South is recognised in the constitution of Nigeria. This so called SE and SS are just geopolitical zones made by General Abacha's regime. It doesnt really mean anything.

How can an Urohbo man on the west side of the River Niger be claiming to be 'South South' with an Oron man on the East side of the Niger? What brings them together? That is attaching your self to another.

If you want 'South /South' then you have to seek a referendum like the Biafrans want. Then, you can ask the Ogoja or Ibibio man if he wants to join you. Attach by force must stop.

Nobody cares about your voice, when the time for the referendum comes, you guys can vote to continue with 'one Nigeria' or just abstain. This project is for those who are comfortable with Igbos. Those who are not comfortable should vote accordingly so as not to cause misundertanding later.

This is going to be my last response to you.

Any Urhobo calling radio Biafra is an Igbo pretending to be Urhobo or most likely an Urhobo-Igbo halfling. I am a traditional Urhobo man and take it from me, referendum or not, Urhobo is not joining Biafra EVER!

And yes, Biafra is an Igbo thing. Keep it as such for your own good. You don't need to create another Nigeria in the name of disaffection with Nigeria. A Biafra with only Igbos will be supported by all including Urhobos. You also don't need to force groups into your cause. It goes against your mantra of freedom.

As for us, we have UPU, the apex Urhobo national group and the point has been made times and times again that Urhobo is not interested in any Biafra. UPU speaks for all of us and I'm only reiterating their stand here. We have our own wishes and aspirations and these do not tally with that of Igbos in any way.

Just to repeat again, if you like conduct 1000 referendums in the entire country. Only Igbos, not even all, will vote for Biafra. Urhobos are indifferent towards your cause and the minority that may even sympathise with the cause do so only at a personal level and when Biafra is achieved, they are free to migrate and take on Igbo identity.
If Igbos are calling into Radio Biafra claiming to be Urohbo, it means that anyone can write into Nairaland claiming to Urohbo too, right?
What all this means is that you dont really care about your Urohbo people (that is assuming you are not another Yoruba man claiming to be Niger Delta)

If you actually cared about your people, you would be demanding a referendum so that your people can be collectively heard. The Urohbo people have never voted on a referendum on their future have they?

So why would you want to silence your own people if you cared about them? If Urohbos dont want Biafra, a referendum is the best way to show it. If Urohbos love Nigeria, a referendum is the best way to express it. A referendum is even more important that the so called UPU because referendum is the people talking directly.

Biafra is not an Igbo only thing, it never was. If you think it is then tell me how it is possible that the last president of Biafra , was General Philip Effiong, a non Igbo? How do you thing this was possible? If you cant answer then forget that idea.

How can anyone be forcing Urohbo natiin into Biafra when everyone is insisting on a referendum first? Did they tell you that referendum is something done by force?

Nigeria is a country created and kept together 'by force' and Biafrans are against that mentality.

I can understand anyone being against Biafra, not everyone will support it. What I dont understand is when one person says their opinion is final on the matter over the opinion of his own people. Really strange
PoliticsRe: Breaking: IPOB Releases National Organogram (Pics) by gartamanta: 1:17pm On Mar 01, 2017
fratermathy:
Too much talk is not needed. Urhobos are not against Biafra. Take your interested Delta Igbos and go your way. However, leave us out of it except we have officially agreed on terms. If you like conduct 10,000 referendum in Urhoboland, no one (not even Orogun people that share some form of Ukwuani ancestry) will support Biafra. You don't seem to understand that we are very indifferent to Igbos. We just want to be left alone. We have our voice as an ethnic nation and we will use it by ourselves.

You need not remind us of our small size. After all, it is the exact reason why we have been annexed in the first place. However, do not mistake small size for small voice.
Hmmmmm this is quite strange. A referendum is to test the opinion of a people, it is not to test the opinion of one person, unless you can categorically state that the Urohbos elected you their national spokesman. Nobody wants 100 referendums, one is enough. Also, the Urohbos who call into Radio Biafra saying they are tired of 'one Nigeria' have to be given a say. They may be in the minority or majority, only a referendun will tell.

If you have a voice as an ethnic nation, then why are you scared to express it via referndum? Biafra has never been about just Igbos, the last president of Biafra, General Philip Effiong, was not even an Igbo man.

Yanji'hwo na wo. I've learnt to ignore them the bitter way. Some of the persons drawing maps like this just want to cause confusion. They may not even be core members of iPob because any core iPobian knows that Urhobos, Itsekiri and Igbos cannot coexist in one sole country without qualms due to our republican nature.
Really? But you are already doing that in Nigeria. Everyone is already co-existing with each other in Nigeria.

Igbos are better off without us and vice versa. I've stopped trying to educate illiterates and imperialists online. Most of them will drag you to their level of reasoning.

However, just to set the records straight: URHOBO NEVER WAS, IS NOT AND NEVER WILL BE A PART OF BIAFRA. IF URHOBO MUST LEAVE NIGERIA, WE HAVE OUR OWN VOICE AND NO IGBO WILL SPEAK FOR US! angry
If all this is true, then it means that you people wont be against a referendum. Referendum gives us all the opportunity to reinforce our beliefs. Referendum is your only voice. Lets not forget that Urohbo is still a very small ethnic group, inside Nigeria, you have no voice.

That said, all Urhobos should simply unfollow this thread and move on to more important people and issues than these delusional ones.

Ekuogbe r'Urhobo v'Isoko Wadooooooo!
Frankly, Igbos like me are far more interested in our kith and kin in Anioma, delta state. Wether Urohbo, Isoko or Itsekiri dont join wont be an earth shattering loss.
