Biko, what airline are you guys using?

British Airways is available for September but it's quite expensive

Air France closest date is October 19 (classes starts 28th September for me)

Turkish airline is not reliable (at least from what I gathered here)

Anyone with any lead shld please suggest. Biko.

Please guys, is it appropriate if I book a one way ticket as against a return ticket.
Immigration wise, does this imply anything negative at the port of entry?

Congratulations in advance to all those waiting to pick up theirs visas.please is it advisable to send a mail to the embassy concerning this waiting times because the two people that has given collection testimony here so far did their biometric and interview on 18th and i keep wondering if they’ve skipped 13th August people.

Can anyone help me with the embassy email address?
Just go to your biometrics center with your collection slip and tell them you want to collect your passport. I am very certain it's there. I did my biometrics on the 13th August as well. My passport was ready for collection on 2nd September. You probably missed the email or it went to your junk mail.

Abeg explain...I thought 15days starts from biometrics/interview that's once they send your application to DMC for assessment.
15 WORKING days and not 15 days.

15 working days is usually 21 normal days if there is no bank holiday within those days. But considering yesterday August 31st was Bank holiday in UK, 15 working days from 19th August will be 22 normal days = 10th September . Comprehende?? undecided

Pls guys am new here and I need your advice.

Am about submitting my application but I need a clarification: Am going with my dependent. Is it ok to use my school address for the Accomodation pending the visa approval or I need to sort for Accomodation and use the Accomodation address instead of the school address since am going with my dependent.

Thanks
There is an address you already used on your dependant's TB certificate as their UK address. What is the address?

I think he was referring to the posts suggesting it’s okay to spend the money after application submission. Justwise is obligated to take down misleading posts or posts that encourage applicants to misrepresent facts
My honest opinion about removing money from account after visa submission is that it is perfectly allowed as far as it is for the purpose of school accommodation or sch fee itself.

It is even clearly stated in the UKVI guidelines that "the money must come to be held in the same manner unless money paid towards accommodation"

I mean, why would I continue to leave the my account if for I instance, Naira gains significant strength with respect to Pounds. (Say pounds to Naira suddenly becomes 420 today). I'll simply walk into the bank and pay off my tuition balance so that I can save some Naira. After all, that is what the money is meant for. There is room for some flexibility on this things. As long as you are plain, truthful and 100% genuine.

The Visa Officer answering this sounds like a Nigerian and a nigerian sent by this person's village people.
Exactly, those answers were not too bad deserving of a rejection in the way the visa officer made it look. I know many other people will even answer their interview less credible than this and will still get approval for visa.
In the end, there is just a little bit of luck or grace that makes us excel in matters like this.
I wish everyone luck.

Wish you the best of luck man. Please I will like to know how you sorted out your accomodation. That is if you are not using campus accommodation or staying with a family. Any link on how to go about with getting off campus accommodation will help.
I am yet to make a final accommodation arrangement. I have only used my school address as my place of residence for now. I intend staying off campus as I'll be staying with my family.

For my Uni, Uni Of Derby, they have some privately accredited accommodation, so I'll just stick with that.

Success to you!!! Was this a walk in interview please? Any ideas if they allow walk in interviews?
Thanks.

No, this is my normal interview date. Mine is for 10am, my dependants for 10.30am but they allowed us do biometrics same time.

People who came for walk in were still there around 12noon when I left. They were still hoping they would be allowed today.

Some people who came for walk in on Tuesday but couldn't do it were allowed today. I believe they took their name on Tuesday or something.

If for instance I choose to submit online today, whatever bank statement I get be it online from my bank app or a printed version at a bank branch can only reflect yesterday’s transactions as the most recent. Transactions done today cannot reflect until 12 midnight. So the latest transaction date I can capture on my bank statement would be of the day before. Going by this, how can the applicant then use a statement that includes the day of submission even if they wanted to?
You can actually use a bank statement that includes the date of your submission of online application. For me, my online submission date is 22nd July, but I printed my statement from 2nd June to 23rd July. This way my statement will address the ECO's interpretation of 28days and 31days.
This is possible because you are only allowed to upload documents after you have submitted online application and booked appointment. 28days or 31days, I believe everything is covered.

Yes but because you'll be submitting your original passport, you'll need a photocopy of your passport which will be attached to your submission checklist to be used for your passport collection.
Thanks, this is quite helpful.

mimilyrics:
No, you don't; the only physical document you submit is your passport. Your other documents are given back to you after the VAC staff confirms the originality of your documents and/or scans + uploads them for you.
If you're using self-upload, you only need to scan your documents and upload them while the VAC staff will just sight the originals with you and make sure that you've uploaded all that is required.
If you choose assisted upload, the VAC staff will sight your documents to confirm its originality and help you with the scan and upload.
So for self upload, it means that I do not have to go to the VAC with any photocopies at all. All I need to go there with is the originals of the documents I have uploaded so they can sight it. Right?

You cannot book appointment without completing your visa application, you cannot complete visa application without your CAS.

CAS first
Visa application second
Appointment third.

You can't escape that order.

Thanks for your reply. The GWF was requested for at the beginning of the application and it was given. Could it be that the CAS does not cover the dependants? The visa expiry date was requested for before all the dependants can pay IHS but it was not the case for the main applicant.
This visa expiry date question for the dependants shows up on every dependants application. You haven't done anything wrong in your application trust me. After you finally pay and submit your application form, you won't see that question show up on the completed application form. So no need to panic. For me, what I did was to input the end date of my course which is 31st October 2021 as shown on my CAS as my visa expiry date on my dependants application.

The application went thru and it's not even showing on any of our completed application forms. I guess they just trying to use it to calculate the dependants IHS Fee since it is at the point of trying to pay the IHS Fee they actually asking that question. Good Luck.

Hallo, thanks for the advice. In my case, I never struggled with booking an appointment, i just tried it last night and the earliest date I got was 25th August. Is it possible to amend the date and see if I could get something earlier than 25th?
It is possible to ammend the date. But you might have to pay another appointment fee then you are not very certain you would get an earlier appointment. Someone got August 6th 2 days ago, another got August 28th.

I would rather you stayed with your 25th August, these are not normal times. Good Luck.

Hey guys,

I thought I shld give you guys a heads up especially those that have been unable to book appointment. I have just managed to book appointment after trying for 7 days. My appointment is for 13th August.

I was at TLS today to complain and I met a whole lot of Tier 4 applicants there complaining that they can't book appointments.

So apparently, the embassy is only making very few appointment date and time for Tier 4 applicants available to TLS. And they normally release these appointment at a random time during the day. (Around midday I believe).

I was lucky to see both 9.00 am and 10.00am for 13th August at about 12noon today but the 9.00am appointment was booked out in about 2mins.

So if you are having troubles, just keep checking. Keep checking. Good Luck.

Thanks but I've tried it several times and it just won't show the time. The time only appear when I'm searching with my dependants profile.
I'll keep trying though.
Mine will also only show time when I use my dependants account. I have even scrolled until December, Nothing. I am at the TSL contact center in VI now, but they are not open today until tomorrow.

I am confused about this appointment thing.

I said same, with lots of references, her application was in March but put on hold, she started panicking about her maintenance funds not being enough, i told her the exchange rate will be referred back to March and not July even though her statement is recent (July).
She had about 3M in her account.

The date of application is the one on the form right?

Yes, the date on the application form. For her, the date to be considered is still March, but she has to make sure her bank statement has been run for 28 days and not printed more than 31 days ago. But the actual amount they want to see in her account is the amount taken from March exchange rate.
