Does this imply that Fubara spent money in 2024 without a budget? Does this constitute an impeachable offence in 2025? |
saintokwuluora:The state high court cited the pending case in the supreme court on the same matter. The logic was that since the matter is pending determination by the supreme court, the governor can still deal with the Jumbo House. Therefore, the ruling of the state high court will not require appeal after the ruling of the supreme court on the issue. Meanwhile the matter before the supreme court is about the legitimacy of the action of the governor with implied legitimacy of which state assembly is legitimate which may still change if another court gives an express ruling on the defection status of the pro Wike assembly. |
tiwasiaife:Sure no one threatened anyone in America? Trump escaped assassination by the whiskers. |
Why is this a news? Is it because Afe Babalola was also paid for his firm's legal services to the government? Should it have been paid to foreign legal firms? Have you also checked how much was paid to those that provided financial services, security services, engineering services, etc? This should only inspire us to develop ourselves and join the team that provide value so we can also get paid. |

It is not against the North, it is against humanity. Those children are humans who happen to live in a particular place at a particular time. Politicising or regionalising it takes the weight of the action and seems another wrong as well. mrvitalis: |
Even if you have cause to detain them, why not feed them? Should those kids even stand trial or be referred to welfare department for rehabilitation? So pathetic. |

Justiceori2019:Tinubu could still spend the IGR because he had a 'legitimate' budget. In this case, spending any money belonging to Rivers State has been declared illegal by this judgement and other ones. Even the banks housing the IGR are respondents to the case so right now he can't access any pay except he opens new accounts and that is if RIRS was not a respondent. |
Svoboda:IGR in which account? When Zenith Bank and Access Bank are both respondents? The judgement did not illegalise spending of money from FG 'without approved budget' but entire money for the state. He needs to get an order of stay of execution and appeal though he may still lose. |
Asari has been receiving praises recently based on his stands in support of Fubara and against Wike and Tinubu. Now, he opens his mind to talk in appreciation of what Tinubu did for him and he is receiving knocks. I think he has the right to say where he wants to stand and people have the right to view him the way they chose. |
It is a medical condition called Pica. It is either the dog is lacking some nutrients like minerals or it is suffering from anxiety disorder. It happens to humans as well and it is treatable. |
Izzy is taller, 6ft 4in while Jan is 6ft 2in. His lower leg kick strategy did not work as Jan hit him back each time he tried it. Jan is a more powerful guy than Izzy. hayoholla: |
Why tribalise everything? Izzy has represented Nigeria well and is still doing so. Usman Kamaru is an Edo guy and is still the reigning welterweight champ. AJ is a current heavyweight boxing champ, we also have Efe Ajagba doing great and looking good for a shot at one of the prestigious belts. We had Sam Okon Peters who was the first Nigerian to snacth the heavyweight championship belt. So many Nigerians doing us proud in combat sports as well as other sports so please let's stand behind them and stop the tribal tone. Tap0lane: |
mightyhephzibah:Guy, this is so unnecessary from both of you. You are obviously members of the same forum - Nairaland, supporters of the same club- Chelsea and probably, you both just celebrated love on Valentine's day, why speak hate against each other when you can argue without bitterness. Both of you have valid points, don't be harsh to each other again please. Thanks for understanding. |

...He said the concession of the plaintiffs’ witnesses that they did not bother to go to the University of Ibadan or any of the institution that they claimed Mr Obaseki forged their certificates, was enough to let the case to rest. He ruled, “Having thoroughly analysed the evidence of this case, it is the conclusion of this court that plaintiff did not forge his O’Level Certificate, his HSC certificate, and particularly his University of Ibadan degree certificate. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/435671-alleged-certificate-forgery-court-dismisses-apcs-suit-against-obaseki.html |
What you guys are not seeing is that apart from Cross River State, other states in the top borrowing list are states with the perceived capacity to repay based on their monthly inflow. If you are perceived to have money, banks will give you more money because you can pay. Not wrong to borrow but should be injected into development. |
Yours was worse, you and your parents kept mute and you think it should continue that way? Should the missionaries define the standards? Is04970: |

Must she go naked to the world! I thought she was different. |
But looking at it, Reno did not attack all divorcees. He only attacked the bleaching and surgically body enhanced ones. He feels those lots are wrong example to womanhood. Causing some ladies to hate thier natural African looks. Driving women and men to focus more on the bodies of women rather than character. Our fashion, songs, movies and adverts now project only sensuality, no noble human value. I can also see an unwritten part that tends to imply that if you have such passion for bleaching, silicon and nudity, you may have been the cause of your divorce as you focused less on your character, allowing your marriage to crash while you chase your lowly valued passion. For me, no shame in being divorced but if you caused it by indolence and focus on frivolities, then you turn around to flaunt your body to entice men, you are not a good role model. |
Thanks to GEJ for the rail transportation revival. |
There was no need for a count as the referee waived off the contest at the 0:30 mark of the fifth round, a stunning turn of events that upends the heavyweight division below the "big three" of Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua. After his victory, Povetkin revealed that the uppercut he used to finish the fight was something he and his team had trained for, and that he retained his confidence even after being knocked down twice in Round 4. "I didn't feel that I would finish the fight like this but I was pretty confident in the fourth round," Povetkin said. "Yes, I went down twice, but it wasn't too much damage. ... I was watching his fights and took into account that he missed the uppercut from the left and the right. So I trained for just those shots." Whyte had been patiently waiting for his opportunity to fight for the WBC belt while Wilder and Fury battled through their rivalry. After looking out of shape in his previous fight, a decision win over Mariusz Wach this past December, Whyte showed up looking to be much more physically fit only to be caught by the brutal left of Povetkin. Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn was quick to point out that the men had a rematch clause in the contract and that he plans to get Whyte and Povetkin back together again. The hope would be that Whyte will regain his previous status as the WBC's top contender. "We have a rematch clause," Hearn said. "The first thing Dillian said was, 'Give me that rematch. Give me that rematch.' It was a heavy knockout, so he'll have to recover. We will execute that rematch clause. ... He will rematch Alexander Povetkin and I believe he can beat him and bring his No. 1 position back to life. Tonight, this is the ups and downs of boxing." https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/whyte-vs-povetkin-result-alexander-povetkin-stops-dillian-whyte-with-vicious-ko-uppercut-in-fifth-round/live/ |

KoeChz:It is a local problem with legal implications. The legitimate chairman had suspended everything about the primaries as at the time of the primaries. Not only APC members can challenge it. Candidates of other parties have the locus to challenge the legitimacy of his candidature. |
myboy2111:His Acting Chairmanship capacity has the backing of the law. The high court pronouncement in Port Harcourt is weightless as it is a court with parallel jurisdiction with the Abuja high court. This implies that the Port Harcourt case was not an appeal of the Abuja case. |
