Jigga 40, Can you read and comprehend what i wrote in my post? They wont ask you not to adjust your DOB but their system is there to stop you and use your application fee to plant flowers. I thought you said you just won the lottery yourself. There are some mistakes that are pardonable and while others are not. Also, bear it in mind that most times these folks see us as fraud except proven otherwise. Why is it that when applicants adjust their status to include their spouses, they tend to grill them? Your DOB change is enough reason to deny applicants bro. We are talking to about lottery bro. Back to the original topic/ post. Nice write up. Relocating to another environment is not always fun. new experience, different culture, learning new things everyday, challenges and pressures of changing your job etc but if you are focused and positive minded, you can cross the hurdle. jigga40: |
But not DOB. If you do as a primary applicant....... i am sure that person wont scale through. jigga40: |
Abi now..... i wonder how all of a sudden you forgot your DOB. adconline: |
Justwise......... Its true scanned pictures does not retain the quality but that was what i used for my wifes application. I even used the one she took four years earlier. but that DOB change as a primary applicant...... i doubt it as well justwise: |
mattkelly:. Its so sad when you read some stuffs and people display their ignorance. You cant change your DOB through KCC or at the embassy and scale through the lottery process.Never!!!!Someone can get some of your information thru the year book and apply for you but i am so sure that the person will give you all those information which can either enable you to adjust to whatever details he might have used earlier. Guys, JB will not tell you guys in details what actually hapenned but his story can be genuine. Quote my anywhere, DOB is one of the most important safeguard built around the lotterry process by (KCC). I was also a lottery winner and i know what i am saying. |
CISA is one of the certifying exams conducted by ISACA (CRISC, CISM,CGEIT & CISA). It has an international recognition advantage and its one off examination. CISA is a qualifying exams for professionals in auditing environment (system audit, protection of information assets etc). All you have to do is register for the exams, buy books and sit for the exams. Its a 200 multichoice 4 hours exams. The pass rate is like 40 % but there chances you could pass it one time if you study hard. ( I passed mine once). I wish you best of luck. Cheers arhayjay: Hello everyone, |
See poor man mentality. He was just sorry to save his face and administration from ridicule and different outburst everywhere. Whether you guys like it or not, that is the "TRUE PICTURE OF WHO HE IS IN REAL LIFE".In that video he was referring to a man as stxpxd man. Leaders are expected to guard their utterances everywhere.I have been a victim of such bad temper before. My MD (an Insurance coy) asked me who my father was?who brought you here?what is your qualification?where were you when we were running around to get things done?i will sack you etc all because i was doing my job (compliance and monitoring responsibilities). Our Leaders see themselves as demi god which is very bad. idrezee: He just told her 2 go and die, didn't hit her, etc and 4 dat he gave her 2m, employment and scholarship 2 her son! I'm very sure dis woman v 4given him and she's very happy all dis happened and some people r here saying tinz I can't comprehend! He was wrong yes but he apologized, gosh! Wats our stress 4 pete's sake. He should come and tell m 2 "go and die" den apologise, gimme 2m, gimme appointment + scholarship and I'll not only 4give him but I'll pray 4 him all d days of my life. Still wondering why we Nigerians r dis sentimental. TANK GOD, GOD NO BE MAN CHA |
oga i beg.Get the facts right before saying rubbish here on nairaland.Did you see the video at all?she was not selling those items there.I have seen the video more than 7 times. Here in Baltimore Maryland where i live, born African American sell water and all sorts on the streets,by intersection (red lights) during summer.Do police go after them?and yet they are not seen to be second class citizens? these poor folks do take sub way and sell stuffs on the train anytime. I am not saying that is the best way but guy the approach was very disrespectful, humiliating and demeaning.''WIDOWS ARE NOT WELCOMED IN OUR SOCIETY" Have you heard of an illegal (Korean by birth) that heckled Obama during his speech recently all because he was trying to communicate something to the President? Was he killed or deported?NO. Our leaders and people in authority should learn how to address people.Without us (citizens) they cant be leaders (thief). There are better and refined way of dealing with situations in life. I commend the widow that she had the effrontery to stay and beg the former labor leader to no avail. He himself will beg oneday and not be heard. bloggernaija: Widow or no widow. |
I beg wetin Naija do for you now?E no reach dis level now.Nigeria is just like an Elephant's case.If you are unfortunate and you grab bone, u go say this naija na hell but if you grab flesh (good job, good business, good life etc) u go say na naija na the best country in the world. I beg no dey curse our beloved country again oooooo abi wetin make Nigerians wey dey dine with the high and mighty for abroad come say? If you are privileged to live outside Nigeria does not mean you should sit down somewhere and say rubbish.Have you forgotten the likes of Nehemiah,Joseph and Daniel in the bible?Even though these people dined with kings they did not forget their beloved Jerusalem.Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Nigeria) and you yourself will have peace or otherwise. Even though i also i live abroad does mean i should come on social network and curse Nigeria but to thank my stars if need be. Madam, i beg PARK WELL i totally disagree with you on this. jennykadry: https://www.nairaland.com/1515105/shame-called-murtala-muhammed-international |
Now i know and can understand. I thought you are a matured mind but now i can understand where you are coming from. I beg oooooo no vex. No vex ooooooooooo.Oga on top pikin. publisher: Brother,u came on this thread and decided to focus on the positive side of the USA; Is it now a crime to focus on the positive sides of NIGERIA? |
Thanks my brother. This is an example of people of like minds. I am praying that God will fulfill your dreams as well.Unlike some people that are associated with some so called politicians and yet come on nairaland and say rubbish.I wish you as well all the best in life ooooooo. @Gbabe, I took the time to read your previous posts and can say that your life is full of testimonies and favor. I really admire your tenacious spirit. I did my undergrad in Bmore and can tell you that your story is one in a million. Being that you have been in the country only for a while and now have a good job, I will advice you to do all you can to get a house as quickyly as possible, no matter how small. Not owning propety is a common mistake we immigrants make. I do wish you luck in your CPA exam and look forward to your post of you getting a job that pays USD120k (amen to that). God is with you my brother.[/quote] |
@PUBLISHER.No one is claiming to be successful here.It is not an end itself but a means to an End.Dont drag people into this discussion.Have you heard of a Nigerian born entrepreneur Chinedu Echeruo?he attended Kings College before relocating here.He excelled in everything he touched. He recently sold one application worth billions of naira. We are not claiming success or arrival. All we are just trying to pass across is that pursue your dreams and dont allow people that are uninformed to discourage people. For instance you said i pay 40 percent as taxes. do you know you pay as you earn?Dont allow people to bambooz you with their rubbish.People pay taxes in advance countries as they earn. The more you earn the more you pay. Moreover which one will you prefer bros?you pay taxes and you can live a decent life.I rather pay taxes and live a comfortable, progressive and better life than not.It is like we dont even know how things should be any more.We are used to bad roads, high rate of unemployment,NURTW disturbances,ASUU strike etc and we cant even think straight any longer. Am happy for Seun. He's intelligent and wise.I pray God should increase his wisdom ,knowledge and understanding but how many Seun do we have around?Do you know how many unemployed graduate we have?they cant even afford to eat not to talk of knowing were they are going to?Do you know how many lives are on the line because of this ASUU strike?I strongly believe in Nigeria but will always seek a better life.If your dad can afford three course meal for you does not mean every body can.Publisher or whatever you are called, say only whatever you know and keep quiet if you dont have any reasonable thing to say.I believe IN NIGERIA BUT PEOPLE SHOULD NOT SAY WHAT THEIR SO CALLED EGBON OR DADDY TOLD THEM. publisher: LOL...I've just been laughing at some of the Nigerians residing in the US and claiming their successes on NAIRALAND. |
My brother,we are Nigerians. We are distinct in every way by Gods grace. We can survive anywhere. I am always inspired by Nigerian folks that made it in life despite their shortcomings and poor backgrounds.A typical example i read just of recent is MKO.He did almost everything possible for him to go to school then.He got scholarship then and by Gods grace he excelled despite his low estate/poor and difficult background. We should never accept defeat. How many Nigerians have you heard that committed suicide all because he or she was depressed or unemployed or in debt?We are born Rugged due to the difficult terrain we all grew up (no light,no good road,no good school,no good health facility, high rate of unemployment).Have a focus in life.I wont deceive you, there are better and many opportunities here in the so called depressed economy (USA).If you have a good job back home,it might not worth it coming down here because its starting all over again but i hate it when people come on social network and say rubbish. It might not work for you and that does not mean you should discourage others. I lived in England between 2004 and 2009 before i got repatriated back to Nigeria.I never felt bad.I picked up my life and moved forward before this opportunity now came.Peeps, have a goal in life, run the race and be prepared to face challenges in life.Whose report will you believe in life?A typical example is Joshua,Caleb and ten others that were asked to spy on Canan land. Some saw GIANTS there but Joshua and Caleb saw God overpower their giants.Life is full of challenges. Dont kill your dreams and dont allow anyone to kill your dreams in life.GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR US ALL lady gogo: Your story is an inspiration. I love your never say die attitude. Thumbs up. |
Bros its a lie.I left Nigeria 10 months ago with a visa lottery and i dont have any regret today.I was an Assistant Manager (Internal Audit) with an Insurance Company in VI when i won a Visa lottery. Also,I am an ACCA Chartered Accountant,a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA),a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Forensic Accountant (CrFA) when i left nigeria last December.By Gods grace i also had a Savings of 10000 USD with me when i left Lagos and i can tell you today i have no regrets at all. First and foremost,i started with this Certified medical Training (CMT) in Baltimore Maryland. After 3 months i got a job with the training and i was working as a care giver (cleaning and bathing the disabled and handicaps). If you have ever heard of Chimes Incorporation Baltimore,Maryland that was were i started with all my certificates and exposures.I wont deceive you,if i didn't do that my host was ready to throw me out then (March 2013).But i never lost my vision and dreams. With the little i was earning cleaning the disabled,i got a small car to push me around and was still applying for my accounting and audit jobs.I attended more than 40 different interviews both within and outside of Baltimore,MD.Severally i drove to Annapolis (State Capital) for interviews and i had no regrets.A lot of people told me i cant get an Accounting Job but i didnt allow their stupid, naive and parochial way of thinking to stop me.Peeps,we all know where we are going to.Some 1000miles and some 50 miles journey in life and which i believe will help you to prepare and fortify yourself.Guess what?i also started my CPA examinations instantly just to add value to my self and i have no regret at all. By Gods grace, today i have an Audit job with an international organization here in Baltimore,MD.I earn 60K USD and i will travel to 23 states in USA and 4 different Continents with my new role as International Financial Auditor (after 9 months of Job hunting). Dont ever under estimate yourself.Look beyond your hindrances and always pray to God for mercies and unusual favor.God has a purpose for you coming to United States.Dont cage yourself and dont ever listen to failures.Today,by Gods grace people come to me and ask how i did it. I have no regrets at all by his grace femmyb: I still dont get it why anybody will leave a comfortable middle class lifestyle in Nigeria to go and start life all over in the US, that country is the last place i will ever advice anybody wheter comfortable in Naija or not to migrate to. The so called American dream is nothing but a myth, it's all propanganda. |
24en: Hello house i greet u all thanks for all the advices and supports given so far.Is there anyone that can help with job search on computer technician or any job training center or recruitment companies pls help i live in Maryland job search is not quite easy, i am prepare to do any offer, security jobs anything.Thanks.please look for CMT/CNA jobs. U can always find such jobs easily here in maryland |
24en: Hello thanks for ur post, pls i live in Maryland i wish to know where i can take a training on IT can someone help me out, also can i go get my US ID with my SSN and passport.A piece of advice for new immigrants. We are 9 months old here in United States of America and i can tell you guys that God has been very good to us. Dont ever you loose your focus. Here in United States, you can start small and become exceptionally great within a twinkle of an eye without robbing people. Be very mindful of your confession.Even in difficult times learn to say positive things to yourself. Be mindful of people you discuss your plans with. Here in US,there are a lot of dream killers. They aint going anywhere and will do all within their powers to discourage people. As for me and family this land will favor us IJN. After 7 months of desperately looking for jobs, over 40 different interviews i just got a lucrative job (Audit Job). I will be based here in Baltimore,MD but i will travel to 4 different continents for my assignments. New immigrants, your story can be different, please don't loose hope.I started as a Residential Program Technician (Direct Care) with Chimes Inc but now levels don change finally by Gods grace. Be hopeful and add value to yourself.God will see us through, Cheers |
It is sad when you guys mix spiritual things with serious and plain truth. That's one of the reasons we aint moving forward. Just pray you don't experience such thing in life. @Op life is not straightforward and just believe that Gods plan for your life will come to pass. You might not become a PHD (scholar) if you had the opportunity to work with SBJ.I am a living witness to that as well. I wish you well in life and ur write up is well appreciated. kokoye: I dont know if you believe in God...but even He shows favoritsm. |

legnahcra: Can I be my own sponsor? Or who can be my sponsor?[/quoteGuy u don't need anything like that.I went there with my bank statements cos I sponsored myself. They didn't even ask of it not talk of collecting it.My wifes document were not asked of as well since she was a derivative. All I submitted on her behalf was the marriage Certificate (original and photocopy)and her NPC attestation (original and certificate).I submitted my Ond,HND,BSC and NYSC certificates.I had other professional certifications and they were not requested at all. Don't disturb your self just make necessary documention arrangement and pray to God always for divine favour. If I won't lie to u guys,I was over tutored by some honorable members (won't mention names)coupled with daily digestion of this nairaland thread and kenyan immigration thread as well but God made it so simple for us. I wish you best of luck bro |

Good afternoon peeps.I am really thankful to you guys.I must confess u guys are doing a great job.@Kemzone,Adesojiaderemi,temmytamy,gentiger and everyone you are all wonderful people. I had my interview this morning around 9.15am to 9.19am and it was a pleasant experience and divine favor of God at work. We (0i and my wife)got to the emabassy around 6.30 am. We followed their normal security checks and the routine. Next thing i paid in dollars though i had alternative of over 130k in naira in case she has issues with the dollars i presented.Well no issue,we proceeded to another that collected all our documents (NPC,Marriage cert,my bsc,Hnd Ond and Waec certificates,Police Report and Medicals.I presented the other certifications which includes my ACCA Cert,CIA Cert,CrFA cert and CISA certificates but she didnt collect any of except the required ones) About 35minutes after a black american lady showed at the window 13 and started the interview for the immigrants.Later another CO showed at the window 16 before a white blonde girl later showed up at window 15 respectively. Enough people had issues with the currency and visa fee payment and i had to extend a good gesture to a family like that.I am so sure they visited this great forum for once. The black american gave a family of three visas and 3 individuals as well. She was so friendly that all prayers then was that God let us have our interview with this young lady.Obviously,it didnt cost the lady anything to grant everybody that came to her visas.I must tell you,you guys must just pray she is not on holidays when its your turn (just kidding) Exactly 9.15am she called us to her window. Me and Wife : Good mnorning. How was nite CO:Fine thank you (with a charming smile) CO:You are here because you won a lottery Me and Wife:yes CO:Do u promise to say the truth and just the truth Me and Wife:Yes we do CO:Your finger prints Me and Wife:We did it. CO:You have a Bsc I:Yes i do CO:Have u travelled outside nigeria before I:No CO:Where do you work and what do you work as? I:I Told her my place of work and dat i do work as an internal auditor CO:To my wife. What do u do My wife:am still looking for job CO:Are u guys married I:YES CO:Any pictures I:YES CO:Can i see them I:I brought the album out and we flipped from beginning till the end. CO:Congratulations you should go to this address next Wednesday to pick up with that radiant and charming smile again Me and Wife:Thank you so much and enjoy your stay in Nigeria. CO:Thank you i try my best. Folks that was all.It was like a chat all through. Really grateful to God and all u guys here.U are all doing a great job here.Kudos. Lessons learn t.Pray to God and dont fidget.Prepare your documents and commit the rest to Gods hand.We are all going to be successful IJN.Again i greeted almost all the staffs i came across including the security guys there.its not necessary but trust me you might need them later and you don't need any embarrassment or delay whatsoever. Have a blessed and favourable interview. Cheers |
