recently married? I'm sorry you married a liability. You married a lazy wife, who doesn't work, but sits down all day to wait for you to get money.. marrying young is the best time, financially or not.. if you find a good woman, she will stay with you even if to drink garri, you can't be poor forever. Marry a woman who has something doing..
Good for you,

My guy marriage is sweet when you are with the right companion, be it rich or poor it doesn't matter as far as both of you are willing to take the journey together, and yes this is coming from a happily married man.
Is not a matter of poor or rich...is a matter of providing Basic.
Shelter...when you marry will she live in the street?
Food..What will both of you eat
Clothes...will both of you walk naked.
Is not a matter of happily married or not when you were poor or rich...BASICS.
your wife wouldn't Marry you if she meets you in the without any of the above stuff I highlighted

If that is your mind set, then I am sorry to say that you started your marriage on a wrong premise. Financial stability does not depend on the amount of money you have at the moment. It can change like the British weather.

Throughout your life you will pass through the highs and lows of financial stability. When I got married, I was living in a 3 bedroom flat in surulere and driving an almost brand new BMW 5 series. 3 years into marriage, I had some series of bad deals and all my financial security went south. I left surulere and moved to a much cheaper 3 bedroom flat in Ikorodu. Did my wive's love turn to resentment or the bleeped my landlord? No. She contributed in helping the family. By the time our first child came, she was the one doing business and I was taking care of our son.

In less than 5 years I was able to pick up again and things has been on an upward trajectory since.
Imagine how things would have turn out if I married the type of woman you are used to.

As I said, financial stability does not depend on the amount of cash you have at the moment. When Elon Musk was starting out, he slept at his office, showered at YMCA and lived (eat) on $1 a day. His girlfriend lived with him in his office. Today, he is the richest man in the world.
During your financial instabilities, were you able to provide the BASICS( food, water, clothes, shelter no matter how minimal) for your family? That's what I am saying...basics should be in one's view before thinking of marrying.

Are you serious? A woman is not expected to contribute a penny in marriage? And you got 261 likes. I now see that Nigeria is in deep shit with this stupid mindset. You mean to tell me that you expect over half the Nigerian population of women to rely only on the men to be productiv?

So what do you think women can offer to men in marriage? Only sex and child bearing? In that case why waste money educating and training female children, when they will only end up in the bedroom and kitchen.
I teach my daughter to be independent and not rely on anyone. That's the way we raise our daughters in the Niger Delta.
I don't know if you saw the word " expect " . She can decide to help or not. People won't blink an eye if she doesn't.

I went through the article, and it did not even attempt to debunk the claim of a curse place on Ham and him being the ancestor of Africans. All they did was deny the Hamitic curse without presenting any proof or argument.
.
It doesn't need debunking, as a black person that read the article, are you cursed? Since you think you are truely the descendant of Ham.

I have been reading people's post for a long time here.
I decided to contribute my quota.
Life was hard for me as a dentist in Nigeria. i decided to leave 2016.
I was earning 90k per month as a dentist combining with another locum earning 40% per case treated. I researched all developed countries as per practicing dentistry there.
The obstacle were numerous. Exam fees, low pass rate, tuition for re -enrolling.
I opted for African countries. Ghana was 1st option; exam fee was $700. I dropped the idea. I tried Sierra Leone, Liberia and Gambia.
Gambia was were breakthrough came.
I was offered a job of 1k usd as a full time dentist from Nigeria.
I migrated 2017.
I'm still in Gambia.
if you are a dentist hoping to leave. Try African countries. Migrating as a dentist is hard.

sorry about my write up.
i scribble, i'm no writer.

It is so apparent that PDP will not gamble and place any southerner against an Asiwaju Tinubu in 2023 so they are banking on taking the huge northern votes to cancel APC in the south.
This is a very good time for Ohaneze to start planning for 2031 including building a formidable platform then presenting a candidate with great clout who can win election across regions. Latest free stuff now at www.freestuffsng.com
If it is tinubu you guys are banking on. You've just lost the election.. Bring Prof. Osibanjo you might have a chance.

You called this "crap". Please my friend, how much money do you think can satisfy a woman. You are a learner.
Let me guess.. you are not married.
When you get married and he can't provide make sure you remember me.
Guys listen. From a married man. Marriage no be fantasy island o. It is reality. Nobody expects your wife to contribute a penny in marriage unlike relationship. You go get High BP if you can't provide basic stuff for your family. Reality is different from "20 ways to make marriage work" written by one single woman.
If you can't provide basic for yourself and another person...no marry. Guys, Stand up, Draw your ears..Repeat after me.. "If I no fit provide basics for myself and another person, marriage motivators leave me". You can now sit down guys.

Sidenote. I have checked " My Mentions". A lot of the people that said they married poor are not being fair to you.
Providing Basics is quite different from poverty.
Basics.. Shelter ( even if na face me, I face).
Clothes..Even if it is bend down select( okirika)
Food..Even if is drinking garri.
Those are the BASICS I am talking about.
Not I married poor now I am rich. Your wife live for street?

Please, as a newly married man. Don't listen to this crap.
If you are not ready to marry. Don't do it.
If you are not financially stable to marry as a man, don't do it.

When you can't provide for your wife, that puppy love turns to resentment. If it lingers well enough hatred, then she will look for other means to get money. She go Bleep your landlord, wey go dey console and encourage you to work harder you since you no fit pay house rent.

If South-south helps you to achieve Biafra? What next? Use you oppression to destroy others? Put your tribal and family members in strategic positions?
Let me tell you a secret..There will never be an igbo president of Nigeria. A South-south person from Ikwerre bearing or any other parts will replace you.

Jones4190:
ARE YOU A BIAFRAN?
Those who arrested and sentenced Isaac Adaka Boro to death for declaring Niger Delta Republic were neither Hausa-Fulanis nor Yorubas but two supposed brothers of his and Biafrans named Odumegwu Ojukwu and Aguiyi Ironsi who were still on the side of Gambaris and still trying to please them as at then. For declaring Niger-Delta Republic Ironsi, the then military head of state, ordered Ojukwu to get Isaac Boro arrested for treason.
Ojukwu, in an attempt to please Gambaris, fought Isaac Boro for 14 days within which he used federal might of “one-Nigeria” to kill 150 soldiers loyal to Isaac Boro, caught Isaac Boro, stripped him naked and sent him over to Lagos where Ironsi charged him to court and within just 2 months got him convicted, at the Supreme Court, of treasonable felony of trying to break away from Azikiwe’s one Nigeria, got him sentenced to death by hanging. While Ironsi and Ojukwu did all that to Isaac Boro, they left untouched their own Igbo brother soldiers who planned a coup with which they killed Innocent Hausas, Yorubas, Niger Deltans, Middle belters leaving Igbo politicians unharmed despite they, like Zik and Okpara, were part and parcel of the corrupt Balewa government.
However, before Ojukwu and Ironsi could execute their sentence on Isaac Boro God intervened and the counter coup happened. Ironsi was overthrown and killed. Gowon took over declared Isaac Boro innocent and released him. But just fifteen months later Ojukwu too declared Biafra Republic due to the way Igbos were being killed in the North. In declaring Biafra, rather than first apologise to Isaac Boro for what he earlier did to him and then ask for his cooperation in fighting to realize the Biafra dream, Ojukwu did nothing like that but without consulting Boro at all went as far as arrogantly including in his Biafra map the very Niger Delta areas which Isaac Boro earlier tried to pull out of Nigeria and which he (Ojukwu) nearly killed him for.
This angered Isaac Boro and Ken Saro Wiwa who both pledged support for Gowon in order to teach Ojukwu a bitter lesson for his arrogance and dishonesty. That was why Isaac Boro and Saro Wiwa fought on the side of Gowon during the war. Naturally Isaac Boro couldn’t have come out of prison to join the Ojukwu who jailed him and fight against the Gowon who released him. It would have been absurd. No rational human being does that.
This is the truth of what happened and which Igbos hate to hear but prefer to blame everyone else as if they themselves were 100℅ innocent.
Igbos must learn to say the truth because if the Biafra/Niger Delta Republic they now seek is founded on lies and deliberate falsehood, like Nigeria, it will not stand but will soon become a failed state like Nigeria. We can’t leave Nigeria for another Nigeria.
But we however know that Igbos allergy to truth is incurable, therefore Niger-Delta states will never be part of Biafra
Wow!
Can I publish it?
