Wow,quite a debate going on here. |
abeg, make una no vex o, which airline is best to go to US with?
It depends on your definition of best.I ve flown with Delta a couple of times and had a rewardinG experience. They do serve some local meals like Jollof rice, and drinks like Funman fruit juice,so you really do feel at home on board. But their price is a bit on the high side.Essentially,if you want a bargain price,BA Might just be your best bet.Have been flying BA lately due to their reasonable price. |
this is the 4th time i have been refused a u.s visa in the last one and half years, even after haven travelled to usa for more than eight times in the last 5 years.iam 100% sure i did not break any rules.i have valid visas to many other countries including u.k and canada.my questions are , 1)what could be the possible reasons? 2)is there any way to find out the reasons? 3)is there any right to appeal? 4)how do i correct this problem if there is any? 5)is there a general problem recently with people who say they are going to buy cars?because thats what i do. 6)how many times can one reapply in a year? thanks for your candid suggestions 0
I did answer your enquiry previously |
yetunde01: Why d insult nw? U should be ban from this thread.Ban? |
Jonathans mandate is to ruin Nigeria, bringing her to her knees.Anyone still in doubt? |
grafikii: Yes I am married with 2 kidsThe odds are in your favour, considering your situation.Just ensure that you are calm during the interview.Maintain a positive body language, and hope for the very best.X |
Superbrain: I got my visa yesterday.Fantastic! |
cogitoErgo: you poster who is posting from your facebook I think you know you are saying one thing now and very soon your oga at the top will say another thing.Dry. |
And Abati,Jonathan ass licker gets annihilated. |
Goddex: Yes I did and will vote him again in 2015.So you are impressed by his abbysmal performance? |
ANYONE GOING FOR AN INTERVIEW SHOULD CONSIDER THESE: Positive Factors: You are above the age of 60 years. You have a house in Nigeria You have travelled to other countries before NEGATIVE FACTORS: You are aged between 15 and 30 years You are not married You are a widow or widower. You do not make good money You do not file an income Tax return You frequently visit certain countries Someone has filed an immigration petition for you You previously lost your passport You have a communicable disease You are involved in any court cases You have been sentenced for some crime previously You have past due alimonyfor wife and kids Someone did give any negative info about you to the US consulate Now,those with negative factors do have their work cut out, convincing the US consulate that they are genuine visitors unless they they compensate for them in some other areas |
grafikii: Hi everyone, I have got an interview for a visit visa in a month, I am married with 2 kids, I earn 260k in my dad's company as marketing manager. I am to represent family at my uncle's wedding and to speak on behalf of the family as he has no relatives in the us and my dad is too busy. I intend to spend 5days. I have got a letter of invitation from my uncle and his inlawsYou would need to demonstrate strong ties to Nigeria.Having said that ,you are still in with a good chance.Note, one could attend an interview with a shipload of documents and still get denied.Docs can only go so far.Crucially, your answers determine whether you get a visa or not,so it is absolutely vital, that you mantain a calm demeanour during the interview and do not stutter. And,The fact that you intend to stay for just five days puts you in with some chance,as CO'S tend to view that favourably. Are you married? |
dapsy4u2: Could i be disqualified if i try for the first time? I have a virgin passport. I don't have anywhere in mind to visit apart from the states nd it's going to be my first time. No,travel experience is not a must to get a visa.Loads of people did get their visa with a virgin passport.Convince the CO that you are a "GENUINE" visitor and you will get the visa. Not as easy as it sounds though. You need to respond to the questions in such a manner that you do not leave shades of doubt in the mind of the CO.Read the previous pages for tips on how to approach a tourist visa interview. But most importantly, like I always advice,do not appear desperate for a visa.Thats the crux of the matter |
He is an analyst exTraordinaire.heck,he is one of the best around |
Its a sad day for Nigeria, andf All hands should be on deck to chase the otueke crook to the creeks in 2015 |
vozkini: The thing is quite confusing. What it means is that conference and hotel reservation is better off than invitation letter?Of course having a relative in the US could be counter-productive,as it could be assumed you would likely hook up with that relative and become an illegal immigrant. But the crux of the matter is to convince the Co at the interview, whether or not you use a hotel reservation.Attend the interview with an open mind, and Convince the co you are gonna return as a result of your thriving bussiness. You see, most of the info they need are already in your Ds 160 form, and all they need to see is how you react to questions, your body language, and whether you are nervous or not.I think you ve got some pretty strong ties. All the best |
ighojohn: I HAVE JUST BEEN REFUSE THE VISA, AND KNOWING THE REASON WHY I WAS REFUSED AM THINKING OF REAPPLY AGAIN IN A DAY OR 2DAYS TIME , IS IT WISE. NO DOCUMENTS WAS CHECK PLS ADVICEWe do know that visas are refused under section 214B,221G and 212A,with 214B,failure to overcome an intending immigrant presumption, the most common.Do not re apply until your situation changes,or if you have new information which was not presented to the Consular officer at the interview. The problem is,how do you convince the CO that you will return to your country at the end of your visit? Are you married?Do you have a good job with a good income? You gotta sort out some things before re applying |
Plausible. |
Absolutely brilliant. But of course the usual suspects will keep debating whether or not he would have made a first class, had he attended a public university. |
Talk about a superbly organised society,unlike N...... |
phatrat: @ Gbenga please expantiate thanksI do not intend to discourage you here, but I ve gotta be brutally frank with you.The fact that you intend to visit a random lady ,whom you have never met before will appear implausible to the Consular Officer. That does not appear as a compelling reason to visit the US.In fact,is gonna be extremely difficult to prove your non immigrant intentions to the CO,considering your situation. |
Plausible as GEJ is believed to hold his "corrupt oga" in high esteem till date. But the chicken has come home to roost for GEJ.Of course, this is the 'final straw' that breaks the camels back. |
KEMER: Hello pls say something.Oh,sorry I didnt see you original post. You would need to take along your statement of accounts and all documents that will prove that you are able to sponsor our trip.Generally, you would need to have upwards of 750,000 or even a million to show that you are able to finance your trip. Also, you might take any property docs along. All these could help you prove you are not an intending immigrant.Nonetheless, while docs are important,Consular officers do not place a priority on them. They are usually pressed for time and seldom check documents. In addition,I must say that being single is a negative, but does not necessarily hinder you from getting a visa. The married could be denied, and the single granted .Crux of the matter,go with all financial docs you can just in case, provide brief answers to the questions asked, but explain if you are asked to,and most importantly: DO NOT APPEAR DESPERATE FOR A VISA.THATS ACTUALLY THE REASON FOR THE INTERVIEW.Prove that you dont intend to elope and even if they dont grant you a visa, you will be just fine.Thats the kinda attitude the co wanna see. With such an attitude, consider the visa yours.Best wishes:does this suffice? |
@phatrat,To be honest,your chances of getting a visa are very slim.Should i expantiate? |
Daresh: Abeg stop rough play. I have a 3rd class and it has never stopped me from achieving my objectives in life |
Soso990240: *yawns*na nw i go knw people wey graduate wit 3rd class..hehehehehehe.You can say that again. We ve got some shocking replies right here. |
poccahunter: sometimes, if not most, grade is not the true text of knowledge.Text or test? |
jude33084: Do you mean certificate? You gotta be kidding me! |
Disgusting. |
sndrmrtns: Finally picked my B1/B2 2yrs Visa today and here is my experince .Those guys havent got the time to check documents. They are always pressed for time.some people show up at the embassy with a shipload of documents, hoping that would sway the decision in their favour, but the cos are aware that documents can be counterfeited, and wouldnt rather waste their time on that. And,considering that some of State departments very best are normally posted to Nigeria,in light of Nigerias uneviable reputation, visa applicants have their work cut out. But,more frequently than not,a confident, composed applicant, who does not appear desperate will get his /her visa.Thats the kinda attitude the co's wanna see |
Regarding the Ucl match between United and Madrid, recriminations grow, and soccer spat escalates.Nonetheless,i feel compelled to declare that United got paid back with their own coin.that is the unvarnished truth |
United has the best chance of the match so far. minuto 15 |
