Kagawa10:It's not just speculation. It's was reported by reputable news outlets/journalists both in Spain and England. The most recent update about Mourinho to united contained similar reports about Jose to Madrid which supports what i said. Madrid made various approaches, not even a single one. So google up, find out and read. I can't be spoon-feeding you every time. BTW, please don't make this an argument between Jose and Ancelloti. I won't warn you again. dopeJemi:You don't even need to worry; I think it's a done deal already. |
Kagawa10:I'm really sorry for you as a united fan who believes everything LVG says. LVG was interested in Pedro, in fact he was so interested that he mentioned him as the kind of player with speed and creativity that we needed. Woodward left England but failed to complete the deal. The fact that he failed in acquiring him or that he was snatched from us by chelsea does not change the truth. LVG is quite arrogant and stubborn and he was only trying to save face regards the use of lingard later. I'm really sorry for that you are so blind that and cannot see the truth even when it's shoved into your face. |
raumdeuter:Always remember i would be here to stop you when you tell lies and use logic haphazardly on this thread. The interval between Mourinho's sacking and Ancelloti's appointment is about 3 days and this suggests Bayern were already in negiotations with Ancelotti to take over before Mourinho got sacked. So how could Bayern sign Jose when he was still in a job then? I expected better from you. Mourinho has been sacked from two clubs precisely Chelsea and Madrid and i hope it interests you to know that Ancelloti has been sacked by those two respective clubs. Infact he has been sacked more times than Jose and he's still considered a top manager. These are big clubs that would have normally looked at Mourinho and they all looked away even when they needed coaches and Mourinho is jobless and availableMadrid has begged him recently various times to return even before Benitez got fired so i don't know what you are on about again. Now you stating news from very shady sources as fact because you want to prove a point and i don't really need to go on. What has united done to you? |
Dadehmola:Yes, we would gladly look to it, if that coach was the current EPL winner, if the coach has 22 major trophies in various leagues, if the coach has won a league title everywhere he's been.... Yes we would be looking forward to it if that coach was Jose Mourinho as it now. In fact i was pained when i realized we would be getting Moyes when Fergie retired instead of Mourinho who was available that period as he just left Madrid. I remember the CL match we lost to Madrid and Jose's reaction in the post match conference. He said the better team lost and was very humble about results regards us. He wanted the united job. It's was his dream job but we threw that all away with Moyes appointment and now in my opinion this appointment is 3 years late already. sinizia, chrisley024, LVG has been very successful at fooling a lot of people in various ways. Who remembers sometime earlier in the season when we were on the verge of breaking a very old record of having at least someone from the academy in the team squad? Why did that almost happen if he was so good at giving youth chances? Some folks would also say he kept a thin squad so academy players would get chances but this is false too. When almost everyone was fit earlier in the season with no injuries, LVG was finding it hard to place players from the academy on the bench( not even to start them). The major reason these players are getting such chances now is injuries to the first team guys. Another reason is that LVG has realized he has failed and wants to leave as much as you can call a legacy by giving debuts to several players in the hope that some of them can become successful after he's gone. So that later we can look back and pay homage to him ![]() I think i would start bursting other myths regards LVG. Too many folks have been deceived like Kagawa10. |
raumdeuter:I already proved you cannot use the same data since their situations were different. I addressed that in the post below earlier but your comprehension problems prevented you from understanding. That's why i said you should read that post again. LVG stock was far lower than Jose's own after he almost relegated Barca because he already had a previous campaign which failed. That campaign was his first stint with the dutch national side when he remarkably failed and he couldn't even qualify them for world cup. It was after this he was chased away to Barca where he failed again with Barca few points above relegation. Mourinho is the current EPL winner. His current situation differs a lot from LVG's. You are making this argument too easy for me.Dayokanu read! Were you not the one who told us openly that Mourinho didnt lose to Bournemouth when you were caught shamefully went to edit the postThis only reinforces what i said earlier. You only bring up this past deed when you are beaten to a corner like currently and have nowhere to run to. I don't need to bring up your past misdeeds or goofs to defeat you in any debate, and i don't see myself needing it the future. It's only a prerogative of yours. Well it's not in your nature to give up easily, so i won't bother replying on this since you nothing objective to say and spare you the pain of posting nonsense when you are out of points. |
Odunharry:no i actually admire his courage or should i say stupidity in doing what he did. He's a braver man than Giggs if you know what i mean. ![]() raumdeuter:Read the post you quoted again(this time slowly) and see if you're making any sense. That post replies this nonsense you have written again. You lost this argument a long time ago since you refused to be objective, and now you can keep quiet and move along if you have nothing else to say. |
raumdeuter:It's your post i had issues with regardless. Well he is still currently jobless and nothing can take that away. He is jobless because he was sacked for flirting with relegationAncelloti was Jobless for a while too and in a way still jobless until the start of next season when he takes over and it's most likely Jose has already signed a contract with united but it hasn't been announced just yet. I don't even see where you are driving at with this because this is another silly logic and you've been employing too much of this lately. You do this most times when you are out of points to make. I can say too that in Mourinho's last job he won a league title and he's still the current winner unlike Carlo that was the previous CL winner when he was appointed. Mourinho was averaging 1 win per month and you want him to finish the season? If you own a company and see a manager declaring losses every month would you wait to see if he would actually bankrupt the company before firing him?How many wins was Klopp averaging per month when he was with dormund in that difficult season? Dortmund eventually finished 7th or so. You are not a god to determine the future that easily and stocks losses in economics do not exactly correlate with football performances. Don't make me give instances because you would get embarrassed by the nonsense you have been spewing lately. LvG recent records has him 3rd at the world cup. That is the current situation and you are the hypocrite here. When the same type of scrutiny you beamed on LvG was done to Mourinho you started throwing fitsI have gone over this already and i don't need to repeat myself. Your negative obsession with Mourinho regards united is only gonna cause you more embarrassments like this when you are running from pillar to post and pontificating like you are doing currently. |
raumdeuter:Stop trying to be clever by half. You aren't the only one who knows history. You are making this argument too easy for me. If you want to draw parallels with Bayern hiring LVG vs Man Utd hiring Mourinho, after almost relegating Chelsea, let him go take Augsburg, West brom, Levante and win the league with them like LVG did with AZ Alkmaar before coming to Man UtdI have already proved Jose doesn't need to do such a thing. He has done greater in the past and his record speaks for him. |
raumdeuter:I'm not saying you shouldn't judge by his time at chelsea but it's wrong when it's the only time reference you used. Everything should be used relatively with several variables and proportions. You passed a very poor judgement. I have some doubts too about Mourinho but it's a stretch too far to say it's all as a result of his last campaign which was controversial. That's the first and only time he was that bad ever in his career. He's still the current/reigning EPL winner and the nonsense you brought up can't take that away. where he was also sacked after ending trophyless and for bringing shame to Madrid name by instigating fights? In Ancellotti last campaign at Madrid, he finished trophyless and got sacked. Did that stop Bayern from appointing him?. stop being an hypocrite. Mourinho did not even finish the season (though we don't know how chelsea would have finish the season) what do you want me to judge him by? His performances in 12yrs ago for FC Porto or those 6yrs ago for Inter? You can as well get Benitez who also won the CL 11yrs ago and played a CL final 9yrs agoI think by now you should know how to judge him, if you really want to be reasonable. LVG won the CL over 18 years ago but he was still considered good and we appointed him. Jose's record is not a problem. |
Odunharry: chrisley024:Yes it's official now.... http://www.valenciacf.com/ver/57041/comunicado-oficial-.html They left that decision too late i think. Where is nyabingyi? |
Kagawa10:It seems the world has left some of you behind. Look around you, almost all top coaches don't stay long again and most top clubs blueprints currently do not support that approach. SAF was the last of those kind of top coaches because i don't think Wenger is currently good. It was this kind of foolish thinking that made us appoint Moyes and we gave him a six-year contract deluding ourselves he could continue the good work of SAF, and we ignored top coaches available then because we wanted stupid stability coupled with Moyes' mediocrity. If there are better manager like Tuchel, Pocchetino, Ancelotti, out there to replace LVG, i would be up for it, but not Mourinho. The only manager in this list close to Mourinho is Ancelotti and i don't even think he's better than Jose. The rest have proven nothing and have won shi.t. That could change soon but we are not currently a club for experiments by those coaches when a certified option is out there available. Also, I can see the vision Van gaal has for the club. He wants a team that's fluid in their passing and movement with good control in the midfield like his Ajax team but sadly few players fit the criteria. Majority of our players are either immobile, lacks good off the ball movement and poor in their passing skills, especially when under pressure. No wonder he adores the likes of Lingard, Young, Rashford, Martial and Fellaini who all has one thing in common which is their 'off the ball movements' eventhough their technical skills differs from one another. You make too much speculations/assumptions to sound reasonable. I'm not even interested in destroying the falsehoods in the post i just quoted so i would make this very simple for you. If LVG has a vision for our club (though i really doubt this), i'm sure it's one that's gonna fail. He's gonna retire next year either way, so if he couldn't implement those visions in almost 2 years, then we'd be fools to wait on him for another year and by the time he's leaving we might not have good options for coaches like Mourinho. I wonder the way some of you reason at all. LVG never recovers from these kind of lows, and it's more unlikely now and also it's obvious he's past it. For example, he left Barcelona (at his 2nd stint) 3 points above relegation before he was chased away and Raumdeuter would deceive some fools into believing we shouldn't appoint Jose because he left chelsea in similar state when his club Bayern with this knowledge still appointed LVG then. Then he got sacked at bayern when he was struggling to make champion league places though he had previously won a league title and gotten them to the finals of the CL . He hasn't done nothing like that here. He has won nothing here or proved anything to even make us consider giving him the last year. Sincerely, I don't know what it will take for some of you to realize that the LVG experiment has failed and it's time to move on, and unfortunately, we don't have that much time any longer. |
I wish i saw this post earlier raumdeuter:There are already enough reasons to slate/dislike Jose but i don't know why you still needed this much lies to prove a point. Jose did not consider Lukaku the main striker to lead a title challenge and he got limited opportunities. But at the end, it was Lukaku who asked to leave himself and Jose wished him well. I believe they still have a decent relationship as recently it was reported Lukaku was opened to joining Jose at united when he takes over. Why would he want that if what you are trying to paint here is true? A coach who sold Debruyne, SalahHe is far from perfect but he still won the league title recently even with these bad acts, though debateable, he commited. Those guys who left did not their new teams into league winners. A coach who overlooked other decent strikers and bought the same failed FalcaoI agree he has made some shady transfers over the years but he been vindicated and rewarded generally more often than not and remember he's not responsible for all transfers, and that includes some of the terrible ones you listed. For example Lukaku left but he won the league title (in his first season with Costa as striker). Chelsea had not come close to doing that in about 5 years. A coach who fights everyone player, fans, referee, coaching crew, medical teamI agree he does not have the best character but that is negligible for now since conditions he's used to might not have been the best. Ivanovic was one of the better performers when chelsea won the league. A dip in form cannot change that he was not always like that and/or and age is catching up. The same with terry, who Jose tried to replace unsuccessfully. You should stop judging him with only his time and chelsea and using unreasonable sample space sizes. You are better than this. I don't expect you to mean well for united though. |
SIRcumalot:There are more coaches better than LVG but maybe he was just the best available when we needed to offload Moyes. In my opinion, Pep and Jose are better coaches than Ancelloti though, and all 3 are better than LVG. |
bigkesh:Is Courtois worth more than De gea his superior? How much would De gea cost at most? £60 million? |
Kagawa10:You are now sounding like a clown while attempting revisionism. Martial wasn't a top player when we got him and we still got him at a steep price. Bastian is an injury proned player who was past his best and useless to bayern; how has Bastian performed? Falcao was coming off a major inury and had been a risk at the time, and so he flopped badly. The part in bold is false too. Chelsea snatched Pedro from us( though we should have no regrets about that) and Moyes wanted Fabregas but he remained in Barcelona and he joined chelsea when he left. So which top player has LVG gotten us? Or does he actually get these top players and they become terrible under him? Stop the lies. |
Kagawa10:Besides Herrera and Fellani, the remaining players you named are premier league winning players. Why hasn't LVG replaced them since they are poor and are the problems? What's stopping him? do you even know how many players he has sold regardless of being poor or not? Have the ones he bought proved to be better? Is he even getting the best from these average players? what's a good coach job? so you think all football success/failure is down to the players and the influence of a coach is negligible? I repeat LVG is past it, and there's usually no coming back from this with him. Kagawa10:Van Gaal's major signings Angel di Maria (£60m) Luke Shaw (£30m) Ander Herrera (£29m) Marcos Rojo (£16m) Daley Blind (£14m) Radamel Falcao (£6m loan fee) Victor Valdes (Free) Anthony Martial (£36m) Morgan Schneiderlin (£25m) Memphis Depay (£25m) Matteo Darmian (£14.4m) Bastian Schweinsteiger (£6.3m) Sergio Romero (Free) Total spend: £261.7m http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3368757/Louis-van-Gaal-vs-David-Moyes-Numbers-Dutchman-expensive-mistake-Manchester-United.html |
Kagawa10:what are you on about exactly? Whose squad is it? Why does he have average players in his squad? Who asked him not to replace the average players or why has he been signing average players? Do you even listen to yourself? Can you say he gotten the best from these average players or are these average players even playing to their abilities? There's no way to defend him. You are simply confused. |
Kagawa10:How many of these quality players would come to united with LVG in charge? We are not that attractive anymore due to the mediocrity that have been plaguing us for some years now. Money isn't really much of an advantage anymore like it used to. We are going nowhere with LVG in charge and I'm glad the board has realised that, so he's getting replaced by Jose this summer. This was the appointment that should have been made SAF retired, but it's better late than never. |
Kagawa10:stop peddling lies. LVG spent 250 or more actually but he sold some players but regardless he spent 250 and there's nothing to show for it. We play very terrible football, got no trophies and we have an average squad according to you. So what has he succeeded at? |
Kagawa10:I'm not gonna argue that we have world class players to be throwing shades at Bayern or Madrid but every reasonable united fan would agree that our performances this season have not been reflective of the actual players' abilities. We shouldn't lose to the likes of Norwich, Westbrom, Bornemouth, and even getting schooled by midgetland. Do they have better players than us? Stop this nonsense please. Is it his fault that Carrick (one of the team's influential player last season) has added another year to his age and as a result has become tortoise in the midfield? Or his fault for the inconsistency of Rooney?LVG has been tasked with rebuilding the squad, clearing out deadwood and making us very competitive again. To this effect, he has been provided with funds to spend as he wishes. Whose fault is it he hasn't figured out a replacement for Carrick in about 5 transfer windows and is so reliant on him? why did he refuse to buy strikers and placed all hopes on Rooney who has always been inconsistent and never lead the line completely for a title winning team? Then he went on a panic buy, a got us a 19 year old, who though, can actually become a top player but is still too young to lead the line. Depay was LVG's signing, wasn't he? So who gets the blame for spending that much on a flop? In general, LVG trimmed the squad but it was excessive and his replacements were not enough. Is it his fault that the likes of Herrera becomes turn overs machine as soon he's under pressure from high pressing opposition team? Or Mata who's been poo for 4 yrs running, starting from his last stint at Chelsea. If Herrera is actually not good enough for LVG, why has he failed to get a replacement or Mata too? He's been provided with funds! It's even very difficult to judge players under LVG because most of them have regressed under his guidance. He's a terribble coach currently. As a matter of fact, I found out that majority of Schneiderlin's best performance has been alongside Carrick/Schweinsteger who operates as the holding midfielder while he acts as the box-box midfielder. The Arsenal game for example, where the likes of Ozil, Ramsey et al were too lazy to press our midfield of Herrera-Schneiderlin thereby resulting into large space for them to operate still had Schneiderlin looking average in the holding midfield role. It was even worse against a high pressing Watford team who gave our midfield a hard chase resulting into many turnovers and we had God to thank that Watford failed to capitalise on the turnovers. You are using complications to describe simple things. LVG style of play is the major problem. The players we have are not suited for this. A good coach knows when to adapts or manage these things to obtain good results but LVG is extremely arrogant and stubborn and past his time and that's why he enjoyed most of his success in the earlier parts of his career. We can't beat top bottom teams of the PL table who pack the bus with his tactics/plan when we experience lots of possession but still lose, then we get better results against top half teams who don't pack the bus and we play better on the counter. If we hadn't lost or dropped points to teams in the bottom half, we'd currently be in contention for the title. LVG can never challenge for the PL title due to this. I have not forgotten how we finished last season poorly after we had a good run of results earlier. We are simply not cut for possession football currently but he has failed to realized this. For his talk about possession or philosophy, we aren 't actually even good at keeping the ball. Most teams simply let us keep it because they know we can't do damage with it. We collapse ridiculously when pressed seriously. LVG has been built nothing. He hasn't placed any foundations as some believe. He's a failure. I will address every of your post soon, and you'd be amazed by how much nonsense that has been said. |
Kagawa10:You dare to speak of ignorance? I don't even need to resort to insults when i can prove almost everything you posted as crap with limited effort. |
Kagawa10: Kagawa10:Are you actually a United fan or just an opposition fan trolling for fun? You won't get a reply if aren't a United but if you are actually one, then you deserve insults for spewing nonsense in such long posts. |
elampiro:This is not true. You might follow English football very well but you can't be much ahead of the English folks themselves and in their popular opinion, Rooney doesn't deserve to start. This is one poll for example and i think while Rooney might still be a good player overall, there are just better alternatives to him in whatever position he could occupy who are in better form or would have had a better season than him and knowing he hasn't played in months due to an injury. Never mind though, i believe he'd just walk straight into the team regardless so you have no worries. It's more worrying that there are those who think England would go very far in the Euros, it seems they've learn nothing from the past. |
bigkesh:why didn't you complete it? Courtois, who prepares to face Portugal on Tuesday, added he enjoys training with the Red Devils' "world-class players" as opposed to Chelsea's "little less rated" stars. "The level of training is higher among Devils," he said. "There are only world-class players [here], while at Chelsea, there are some players a little less rated and we often train with youngsters as well." |
We are terrible but Man City appears worse, we should be able to nick top 4 from them. |
Leyqute:We have too many puss.ies in our team especially a weakling in Carrick as captain. It's one of the few moments i'd trust Rooney on. They let the ref get away with that too easily. |
How is that not a penalty on Rashford? ![]() |
Spy360:why don't you guys get him to replace Wenger? |
Now it's very unlikely that Jose would not end up being united manager this summer. |
Keky:Don't be silly, they've played 2 extra games ahead of us. |
Chelseafan1:Now it's beyond obvious that he's not on the same level as De gea and I hope the comparisons stop. |
SIRcumalot:Chelsea would be lucky to get a draw, when they need help themselves. We are not getting top 4 either way. |
