We have 13 senior players injured at the moment. Even Phil Jones couldn't have caused that many. What the hell is going on?

Don't understand what you mean by think again?

But from the current form in 6games we won 2 lost 2 and drew 2 so for the remaining 12 games we can deduce hat LvG might win 4 lose 4 and draw 4 which gives us 16 points

41 + 16 = 57points + or - 4 is likely what we would finish the season with. Where that will leave us on the table can be better imagined.

Na permutations oo

Your permutations may not be that far off in terms of reality.

LvG is very uninspiring, now that he has heard that Mourinho most likely will be coming. How many games will he lose in the 12 remaining?

We might just end up finishing 7 or 8th with the way things are going with the pack right behind us.
top 4? Think again. Our current form...

Another mistake EPL teams make is giving coaches control over transfers. Unless you have a coach that is guaranteed to stay for 5yrs or more then its silly

Giving a fantasist like LvG control over transfer is a disaster

At Bayern he loaded the team with mediocre that Ulli had to chase him away and take charge

When we were trying to buy Neuer LvG says he doesnt need him that Kraft was okay until Ulli told him his position was just a mere employee
Yes i remembered even after you guys purchased neuer, he was vexed and refused to play him in goal preferring a inexperienced mediocre guy kraft who i don't even know where he is now . He's very stubborn and arrogant. At least, he won stuff with you guys and did considerably better, but even with that he got the sack when you guys have had enough. Once he starts to fall off, it a straight journey to the ground and i know don't why our board haven't realised this. Here the best he's done is get 4th, and that isn't even all the story till we see how this season ends.

raumdeuter:
I know you're angry at your team but that financial clout isnt going anywhere soon. Man Utd is the biggest soccer franchise despite that mediocre season you are still signing top deals which rings more money
Well the money of the PL would still be their downfall, they hope throwing more money at it the problem would be resolved. Like they said a fool and his money are easily parted, Newcastle was one of the top spending teams in the whole league yet they are at the bottom while Ranieiri is doing wonders with just a little. Most players and coaches just see the EPL as a place to grab their own piece of the money and go
This money tradition isn't gonna end anytime soon especially with the new tv deal kicking in soon which means even more money than ever seen. This, and i believe in the long run that much money would start translating to football success, and maybe even exponentially. It's very realistic with time.
Pep was fortunate to come at a time when Dortmund was on the decline and Klopp imploded and went mad. Right now Tuchel is moulding Dortmund back and Ancelotti would face a stronger Dortmund than Pep faced.
Looking at the Buli this year Dortmund is having a record breaking year already despite being in 2nd
Pep is a top coach too, and i think he would have dominated the league regardless. But it all speculative and my conjectures could be wrong.

The squad needed to be trimmed but where are the replacements? If a man must turn his fortune around then go 360, not 180.

Radamel Falcao, Robin van Persie & Wayne Rooney needed to leave at the close of last season in my own opinion, because I thought their performance doesn't match up to their wages and their ages were not favourable. The rest of the sales were highly unnecessary!
Loius van Gaal sold like he needed the income before he could purchase new set of players which was not the case.

Manchester United can afford to have three senior players each for every position. When you field academy lads like Love, Borthwick-Jackson and Lingard at the same time to compliment new comers like Anthony Martial, Morgan Schneiderlin who leads who? Why the arrogant auctions without replacements?

I really hope the new manager learns from this. Buy more players to compliment this group, there is really no need to sell any player around now.
Exactly it's simple, you don't sell players off like that without guaranteed replacements. LVG doesn't learn.

Bayern also admires Man Utd financial success.
I'm afraid even our financial clout might decline if we continue this shambles for long. We didn't just reach it suddenly, we worked years to get very successful in football and it would be a shame to throw a lot of it away and do a liverpool.

We tried to let Klinsmann bring in his ideas but saw that he has no technical nous and even brought in Landon Donovan who was said cant even cut it with the amateurs
Sentiments here are stronger. You know the British and their mentality, even with their technical piss poor managers. Money is the major driving force now for basically everything and it hasn't been very successful yet.

Since then we always go for top coaches but After Ancelotti we might have to start another rebuilding process and probably hire a low profile manager
I think Ancelotti is going to give you the CL in the next few years, but he is going to lose at least one - if not more league titles to Dortmund. His league record is quite poor and while I don't think that Dortmund can reach Bayern's level anytime soon, there will come a day when the gap between Dortmund and the rest of the league (except for Bayern) is so big that Dortmund will reach Bayern's ridiculous level of consistency. The league will then basically be decided in the two matches between the two. And anyone can win those. It depends on how long he stays and i'd bet you guys are already planning for the next manager.

We have not scored a head-in league goal this season, and our reject just came on and scored probably the most important goal of the season with a most well timed header. Ferguson really knew how to balance his team with proper recruitments. Last kick of the ball, Welbeck was right there to jump highest to nod in.
I thought you guys claimed initially it was a masterstroke from Gaal to trim the squad so ridiculously, and more genius of him to play youths when it obvious he gave himself no other choice...

I'm not trying to slight Bayern. I'm not a fan but i admire your club. such ridiculous and ruthless German efficiency i think united has to learn from in terms of almost everything. Replaced a top coach with another for the second time in a row. No hassle. Every coach you guys have hired after Klinsmann had previously won at least one UCL title. Seems like Jürgen caused some lasting damage with Rummenigge & Co.

I said this a while back in August. But some peeps here wanted to chop my head off. This squad is capable of mounting at worst a Top 3 challenge and a UCL quarterfinal finish. Afterall we were Top of the league at some point this season. The major catalyst for the poor season we've had so far is LVG.
It's been very interesting watching the subtle shift in expectations at the club - from the board to the fans. Even more interesting is how quickly it's happened.

It should be a commandment - written in stone that the BEAR minimum expectation of a United Manager is 4th - that's not a will they won't they kind of 4th - it's the kind of 4th that comes about after a title challenge slips away due to an injury crisis during the second half of a season.

LVG has been masterful at resetting and managing our expectations - he's admitted himself 4th isn't possible anymore.

A Club with the resources we have should expect a title challenge every season - that's not spoilt, that's the quality of squad our filthy lucre should be able to assemble.

It brings me absolutely no joy to scrape 4th to make up the numbers in the Champions league - if anything, limping out of the group stages makes our cataclysmic fall from power even more evident. A horrible reminder of what we once were.

LVG has to go even if he flukes 4th.

The lack of stability has come from LVG's useless philosophy, his tactical meltdowns and useless substitutions. If we had shown more attacking intent in the first half of the season as we are showing now, we'd still be in the top 4. And maybe even within touching distance of the title. The team would then play with more confidence and little teams like Sunderland and Norwich wont be shítting all over us. Remove LVG and we might still be able to make a late push for top 4.
If LVG had left since December, we could have been pushing for the title.

Even based on previous seasons, Mourinho has had a terrible record against newcastle, that's a fact. But Newcastle aren't the only lesser team he has faced in the epl, and you it'll be treasonous to judge him based on his worst season ever. But again, maybe i'm expecting too much of reasoning from you, which obviously you might be incapable of.

Now you are sounding like a clown. Mourinho was consistent with beating these lower teams without having to park the bus, check his goals record in the epl. It's mostly the big games he sets up defensively and those are the games most people remember.

FFS Chelsea ever played Bournemouth in the EPL with Mourinho in charge.

I am just tired of this Gaal. He displaced our only player who makes things happen. He was warned from the beginning that Blind was too feeble to be a centre back. Even Rio Ferdinand said so. He doesn't seem bothered if the whole team is injured.
To be frank it's not fair to judge some players or anyone under Van Gaal. Over two seasons, the only person who's actually thrived under his leadership is the one who has had the least to do with Van Gaal and his coaching. i.e. the goalkeeper.
LVG is terrible. Now he expects us to win Europa with Dortmund, Napoli, and a lot of spanish clubs in it when we can't even beat relegation teams like sunderland?
