damilola15: Obtained my 3 months travel health insurance (with IGI) outside Lagos on Friday. I was given the certificate (a paper) and the receipts (only).
Just wondering if that's all.

ebele17: Guys, sorry am late in saying this. Picked up my visa yesterday. Recieved the mail on wednesday, 21 working days after my interview. I used sponsorship letter. Just want to thank God and all of u guys on this forum for ur support and good will. #teamwinter on d move!!!

Ogbeche77: 360 is damn too expensive for a student accomodation in a city like Offenbach.. Except you have loads of money to spare..Don't sign any contract until you arrive in frankfurt.. You can find a temo accomodation or hostel and hunt for an apartment.. You could even meet students who are willing to share there flats with you at a reduced price

Before anything, join me in thanking the most high God to whom all thanks is due.

I had my interview on Wednesday, the 10th of September. I had transferred the funds on Friday the 5th and got a conformation on the 9th, a day before the interview.
And sorry I didn't post my interview questions as others, the questions were just as those on the forum. Because I was almost the only one in the house at Lagos, I almost killed myself with worry, (did I do well, what could go wrong and etc), I decided to leave Lagos and head to my cousins' for a cheer. They didn't fail to deliver but it still doesn't exclude the fact that the waiting period is never easy.

Long story short, yesterday (two weeks after the interview), the mail came that I should come with 3 months travelling insurance and my passport.

By God's grace, I should pick it up on Monday.

Thanks guys, every contribution on this forum is always useful even those questions we think are ridiculous and unnecessary.
To those still expecting, I leave Numbers 6 : 24 - 26 for you:

Ogbeche77: perhaps its a wrong time to arrive munich without accomodation plans... Its the Oktoberfest and the city is full to it brim with tourist, likewise hotels and hostels too

The efforts of some members of this thread to share useful thoughts is the zenith of Patriotism. Getting Help from your fellow brothers and sisters for free is nothing but a luxury in this our great country, Nigeria. To say that I gained a lot from this thread is nothing but an understatement!

Im delighted to inform you guys that I was issued my visa today. I was interviewed on the 19th of August, and after the long wait, I was instructed by a mail i received yesterday to come to the embassy with my passport. I shall be in deutscheland next week By God's grace.

Im gonna book my flight between now and tomorrow.. im going with turkish airline because its the most affordable i could find, tho from what i heard, they delay before the boarding of the connecting flight. Any further suggestions as regards airlines will be highly welcomed.

My advice to those still awaiting their visas is just one word "surulere" 'patience'..... If u havent gone for your interview yet, please get prepared by being acquainted with the likely questions to be asked. These questions have already been treated in recent pages here. As for those who have already been interviewed, u guys need the patience more. the issuance of your visa depends on the city in which your school is located. As long as your interview went well, and your documents are authentic, then you have got nothing to worry about. but i will advice you to mail them and ask for the status of your application if you havent gotten a reply from them after 21 days.

pls feel free to ask questions and make comments.i shall respond as soon as i can. for now, i just have set up my mind on how to face the battle ahead of me,and also to improve on my deutsche.

ebele17: Na wa ooo. Geemana, so it is better to have the two?. I have a 2 months insurance from Nigeria that is valid for oct and nov, do u think i should top it up wit one more month or do you think that my health insurance in germany nd that 2 months Nigeria insurance is enough?
N.B: i think its one and the same, the travel insurance is for your health which the health insurance too also covers. Its all one and d same.

ebele17: Guys oooo!!! Please no fighting abeg! Anyway, my question be say, has anyone used their proof of health insurance certificate from Germany in place of the 3 months nigerian insurance asked?? The thing be say, i have completed my enrollment, paid my semester fee and done my health insurance ( my sister helped me with d bank details) from Bramer Gek and they have sent the certificate to me, is it possible for me to present that at the embassy wen i want to collect my visa or is it a MUST that it will be nigerian health insurance. Please anybody? ??

honourableseyi: My observation. Your cousin is the one responsible for your spending officially. Though I know unofficially it is not so. But don't you think "I will" in your statement will look as if you are the one sponsoring yourself yet without block account? Reframe the letter, let everything you are going to write point to your cousin as your sponsor. Remove "I will do this, I will do th at". Officially, all your responsibilities in germany have been placed on your cousin. Shalom

bissiejoe: Since you have told the vo that your cousin is your sponsor, let her know that your cousin will be sending money to you. And if you have landlords you have been mailing in kleve, go with printouts of your mail communications

4129: Greetings to the blessed house. As an ardent follower of this forum, will like say i got good news, that long awaited mail has dropped right into my inbox this morning. I was asked to come to the embassy with three months health travel insurance, after 26days of waiting after interview . May GOD Almighty let everyone in this journey have a good news. This forum is wonderful..................

omolola22: I called the bank to ask why I have not gotten my confirmation letter. So I gave them my account number to know if the funds entered my account yet. And I was told that my money was in the account.
That i should wait for my letter. I have still not gotten it.
