Since you have deferred your admission to Fall 2021, there's no point being in a hurry to have an interview. Book close to your new resumption date. BTW, where are you seeing early dates? And what dates are you seeing? Asguard: Please i need advice. I was denied visa last month.. i paid for another mrv and dates were not coming up so i deferred to fall 2021. Now I'm seeing some early dates again, can I still proceed to book an appointment, also will the deffered admission cause issues ? |

Why not? If you see a date and it's available, what's stopping you? My two cents though - I'm not an expert. Gurus in the house can advice accordingly. Tomison: Hi everyone, please I want to know if it is possible to reschedule for another date after your emergency appointment has been denied.
Let me explain in details, I applied for my visa interview and I was given December 11th as my date but then it was moved to the 15th of January then I applied for an emergency appointment but it was denied. As at now there are available dates in December in Lagos, so I want to know if I can reschedule from 15th to a date in December. Someone please reply it is urgent |

So sorry to hear this fam. I know how it feels, trust me. If you want to talk about it to someone, please get a trusted friend or colleague around you to talk to. Good things don't often come easy. Your setback may just be a setup for you to gain more. Stay calm, try to relax, and don't be in a hurry. Think clearly and act strategically too. God bless you. Hollyholy: Hey guys.
I cried all night and still crying after being denied yesterday.
I totally tended up and blanked out.
Last night all my responses kept flowing in my head and sounded like I was muttering gibberish.
I feel so hopeless.
It was like someone else possessed my body as all I heard rehearsed flew out of my head.
I sent an email to my program director and her response brought more tears to my eyes.
She said she will keep the admission open all through next year, hoping I can join them.
I am afraid to book another date and go through another heartbreak.
I am hiding in my office toilet as I type still crying.
I feel so sad |

Dude. Search for Walspring and send him a DM. Stop exposing your contact information on a faceless forum. If I now call you and say I am Walspring nko, that you should send your money and info? Don't expose yourself to scammers. They are everywhere. God bless you. Sammiebravo: Hello all.
Pls I kindly need the direct contact or email address of Walspring as regards SEVIS payment. I'll really appreciate if anyone could send it to: ashaoluayodele@gmail.com or 08102173396. I'll really appreciate. It's urgent. Thanks. |

It may actually not be an issue but some VOs have anger issues, that's my point. I just pointed something. Sometimes, what we feel is nothing may actually be something despite the fact that the laughing part doesn't hold water.
Maybe, but we've got to be observant to know if the VO is in the mood to accept laughter at any moment. |

So sorry to hear this bro. I'm shocked myself. Your profile is really solid, I think. Friedpotato: VISA DENIED Window 11
As I was going towards him, in order to speak better, I lowered my nose masks and he instructed me and other persons in the hall to raise it back up.p
Me: good morning V.O: good morning V.O: where are you going to? Me: I would be going to continue my undergraduate degree in biology V.O: who would be funding this? Me: I got a full ride presidential scholarship that would cover the entire cost of my tuition, feeding, accommodation, books, extra fees and a laptop. Also I was able to get 2 external scholarships this fall. $5000 for aidsmemorial and $2500 yearly scholarship from the United Negro College Fund. The rest of the costs would be taken care of by my uncle. V.O: Are you married? Me: No V.O: Do you have any kids? Me: No (laughs a bit) V.O: So why did you choose this school? Me: as I said I got a full ride scholarship, then when admitting me, EWC put me in their honors program. Which means that I get to pick a professor in my major that I can carry out summer research with, I would be given priority access to research and internships and I would be assigned an excelling senior in my major that would Integrate me into the Edward waters college community. V.O: I cannot issue you the visa at this moment, this letter would explain more.
I was so so surprised. |

Not sure what you mean, but you can't have an interview with an expired passport. Sugarxx: Hello guys,
I have a quick question please. My interview is next week and my passport expired July 2020. I am unable to renew the passport as you can’t renew a passport that is valid for up to six months at the time or renewal. Please is this an issue ?
Looking forward to hearing from y’all
Thank you |

Any discrepancy or irregularity in the information you present may optimize your chances of getting denied. It's safer and better to be uniform. If your Dad is on your DS form as Sponsor, try to get his SoA. My two cents. The gurus in the house will explain better. Event14: God bless you all for all you do. I need help
I filled my dad as my sponsor, my interview is in two weeks, but my dad is presently not in available to get the SOA. my uncle who is a medical doctor is willing to help with his SOA and with a written note regarding that as my sponsor but my dad's name is reflecting on ds160. Will this affect in any way? |

Joohan: I meant tuition fee waiver or partial scholarship. Thanks for the prompt response I'm not a VO nor a guru, so you probably shouldn't take my word as final. Personally, I don't think it's a requirement, though it appears to be an advantage. Some people with scholarships have been denied before, while others without any have been approved. |

Joohan: This maybe off point, but I'll really appreciate if someone can answer me.
I graduated with a CGPA off 2.82 in Business administration. What are my chances of getting admission and probably a waiver(since that's now a requirement before visa is issued)?
Hope there won't be any problem if I'm funding myself? Hello. Firstly, I suggest you read up past pages, and research the school(s) you're interested in to see how you meet the eligibility requirements. Your 'chances' for admission are determined by the school and your profile. Secondly, I'm not sure about which waiver you're referring to, that you say is now a requirement for Visa issuance. Whether it is application fee waiver, tuition fee waiver, or GRE waiver, it's hard to tell. You probably need to be more specific. Again, reading up past posts will likely answer most of your questions. The gurus in the house may be better positioned to respond more comprehensively. God bless you. |

Stevenssen: Yes, retrieve your old ds-160 form, it'll tell you that this form has been submitted and ask if you want to view the confirmation page or create new one from it, select the later option. A new one will be created with many details from the old one and only very few key information that you have to refill. You can as well make changes anywhere on the new one if you want. Make sure you write the new number out and update it on your profile.
ps : you can update your ds-160 on your profile as long as it's more than 72 hours to your interview. Hello. Can I send you an email? |

Ftos: To those that have gone to the embassy, please, is the reciprocating fee one of the things they will check before entrying the embassy/consulate? Abuja or Lagos? I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you in anticipation. The reciprocity fee only becomes relevant when you ace the interview. If your visa interview is successful, you will need to pay it in cash immediately after your conversation with the VO. I don't think they 'check' it when you are entering, but they expect you to have it at hand. This is for both Abuja and Lagos. |

Bellaluve: I still haven't gotten one. And I don't know how long this will continue. I read somewhere on nairaland that you can pay some agents and they will use their connect to get you an appointment. Don't know how true this is. Or maybe I should just fill another DS160 for Abuja. They still have available dates Absolutely untrue. Don't fall for fraudsters. I suggest you keep checking the site. You can also send them an email with strong reasons why you need an appointment; who knows, they may just smile at you. |

Good day, Mr. Fairheart. Can I send you an email? I'd be brief and direct. fairheart: Your attitude is very annoying. You may be academically sound, but you need to learn to be understanding and listen to those who knows better than you. Most of the people who have been on this thread for a long time, contributing, advising, giving listening ears and even supporting strangers financially, are not your mates. Lagosismyhome is trying to correct and educate you, yet, you remain defensive. This manner will likely make more people ignore you. Classroom education should not be subtituted for manner. Learn and move on! |

sewenswepzy: Good morning house I'm new on this thread. I'm considering having a masters of public health degree in US. I finished from University of ibadan (MLS) with a 2.2. I have a budget of 8million Can anyone suggest schools based on the budget. Also, does the study visa comes with a work permit. Will I be qualified for a post study work visa after the completion of the program..if yes..how many years post study work visa. Thanks. Hello. I don't know all the answers to your questions, but I do know that you need to do much more research on the internet. Google has all the answers and more. A simple query like this you have done here wouldn't do. That aside, I do know that US visa does not come with work permit. Your visa is for study purposes. Whether you're qualified for a post-study work engagement or not depends on many factors, many of which you probably should not be worrying about at this stage - at least until you get there. More importantly, I think I may add that its not always cool if your work or immigration ambitions are easily discernible, especially to VOs. I suggest you carry out extensive research, weigh your options carefully - critically examining the ongoing situation in the US - before you make your final decisions. Hope this helps. |
