JackBizzle: 0 I'm used to your (religious apologists) twisting and dubious arguments.
This is why i focus on the basic issue at hand.
Atheism contains no indoctrination. And there is no evidence for God.
You put up a false but secular notion to entrap me and I avoided it. Argue in a sincere way and I will reply in kind. Na so, I'm still baffled as to how I came across as a religious apologist |

JackBizzle: Atheism holds no beliefs- it is a disbelief. Simple and short.
All this is unnecessary. There is no evidence for God. That much we agree on.
The End You can continue your evasive tactics. Suit yourself. And by the way , we did not agree on anything. That I didn't make any case for God does not mean I believe or there's no evidence for God. I just didn't make a case like you claimed. |

Atheism does not contain indoctrination
spot the difference maybe you should go back and read the my comment you bolded. I mentioned atheism can very well be indoctrinated as my argument and not God or atheist like you claimed. |

Sharap Need I remind you that the below was your post which I first made comment to? JackBizzle: Does atheism have any creed or central doctrines? How can it then contain indoctrination? |

CoolUsername: I'm sorry, you seem to be new here. What you'll realize here is that a lot of people aren't interested in any sensible discussion. All they are interested in to tell you how stupid they believe your views are once you disagree with them. A lot of people will make baseless (or dubiously sourced) assertions and fallacious arguments but go completely silent, aggressive, or become dishonest (depending on the person) when you bring up adequately cited claims.
Just a heads up. Funny thing is those you feel are just about what you sited above feel exactly the same way about you. |

Sorry for being impatient but i have seen all manner of sophistry and pseudoscience aimed at arguing for God. Bring evidence for God and I will accept and sharaap. You should be a shamed of yourself. Even after priding yourself with logic you return with this post that is completely devoid of sense. FYI, I never even made an argument for God throughout my post. My argument all along was atheism can very well be indoctrinated. |

JackBizzle: There is no evidence for God.
No need to talk too much. Present evidence and I will believe lol, does this not amount to what I quoted above? You need empirical evidence to believe in anything. Bedsides , scientists are does who seek scientific explanation to anything not does who believe all things should have scientific explanations. No where in the quote suggested that all atheist are scientists. Get it? |

JackBizzle: The quote is absolute and it is wrong. Not all atheists are scientists and science cant prove everything. I also asked for the basis of your disbelief in a God or gods Edit: you also dodged the first sentence of the quote. Please address it. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Atheism Has Ancient Roots And Is Not ‘modern Invention’, Claims New Text by Geist(m): 1:29pm On Feb 24, 2016 |
JackBizzle: That is quite idiotic, for lack of a better word. For a non idiot illogical shouldn't be a difficult word to find. I did ask if there was any difference at the beginning of my post. Disbelief and belief are opposites. How can you then turn a disbelief into a belief? How can a disbelief in God become a belief?
Belief entails a positive thought towards something - e.g. "I believe in Manchester United", "We believe in strenght"
It is ridiculous to then have belief entailing a positive thought towards a negative/nothing e.g. "I believe in not Manchester united"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just because something is grammatically correct, it does not follow that it is also logically correct.
I do not believe in God's existence- logically and grammatically correct I disbelieve in God's existence- logically and grammatically correct I believe in the non-existence of God- grammatically correct but illogical. OK. Do you believe in the quote below? In your views doesn't it sum up what all who claim to be an atheist should believe in? Can a child or even an adult be taught and trained to believe in such? Doest the below equate to a creed? All things can be explained as the product of unintentional, undirected, purposeless evolution. No truth claim is acceptable if it cannot be subjected to scientific scrutiny. If you claim not to hold these believe then I must ask for the basis of your rejection or disbelief in God. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Atheism Has Ancient Roots And Is Not ‘modern Invention’, Claims New Text by Geist(m): 6:46am On Feb 22, 2016 |
JackBizzle: Atheism is the disbelief in God. A lack of belief.
So, what you are arguing is that a lack of belief is a creed/doctrine.
Do you believe in fairies? No. Is that disbelief in fairies now a creed/doctrine? Is a lack of believe in God any different from the believe in the non existence of God? Your disbelieve in a narrow sense is still a believe in the opposite. So yes my lack of believe in fairies is in fact a believe in it's none existence and is very well a creed. |

Politics › Re: Full Telegraph Interview With Buhari by Geist(m): 7:46am On Feb 09, 2016 |
paschu: You are still not getting the point.
Let me try to break it down for you.
If your elder brother was a theif and his notorious image is kind of messing up your kid sister's chances at getting married, your father should then be found on CNN saying things like " You know, those who feel that my daughter should not be trusted in marriage are actually right because her elder brother goes about terrorizing the whole world. I don't even understand why she is looking to get married in the first place, she should sit her butt down in the house and help me build the family legacy."
How is that about being honest and saying what everyone knows? Your analogy is totally wrong. The marriage of man's daughter to another man's son is a good thing. Seeking asylum in another country does not reflect anything good on the country or it's President. Why should a sitting president encourage such? Also even if the father does say such on national TV, he his not making anything worse since his son and not the father has already spoilt the image. Again as a country we can not continue to put up bad statistics of our antecedents abroad and hope that our diplomacy will change the public perception of the country. Stay in your country and build it and other countries will seek you to come contribute to their society. That is why a Chinese man is more likely to get an American visa than any African. More Chinese are seen building their country than running to other countries seeking asylum. |
Politics › Re: Full Telegraph Interview With Buhari by Geist(m): 10:30pm On Feb 08, 2016 |
paschu: The fact that only one-tenth of Nigerian assylum seekers had managed to get assylum in the UK since the last 15 years did not capture your imagination. What happens now that the president has put his presidential signature to the entrenched image of mass criminality that's tagged on Nigeria?
What stops buhari from emphasizing the BIGGER fact that for every single criminal in nigeria there are a thousand hardworking and upright nigerians. How does any of his bunch of IMPULSIVE resposes in that interview (or his so called truth) help to advance our national interest? Do we even have any national interest or foreign policy that he knows of?
If the president is not clueless, why would he be calling for the return (and possible deportation) of Nigerians in diaspora at a time like this? Gosh. To what exactly does he want them to return? To a comatose economy or to states that borrow to pay their workers' backlashed salaries? How many of these Nigetians can he employ or create opportunities for, even if his administration gets reelected up till infinitum?
He had a global media opportunity, instead of using it to promote Nigeria, he thoughtlessly squandered it on his petty personal image, at the expense of Nigeria.
You are a Nigerian, PLEASE THINK MORE AND FEEL LESS. So in your so educated mind, what PMB would have done is to sugar coat the facts by giving answers that in no way answers the question he was been asked and thereby encourage Britain to accept more Nigerians seeking asylum which will also inadvertently increase the number of Nigerians in British cells and worsen the image of the country rather than say the blunt truth which will keep Britain from granting asylum to more Nigerians thereby encourage Nigerians (both good and bad)to stay at home and hide the shame the bad ones would have caused our Nigeria and show case the pride the good ones would have brought to their host nation if they had been granted asylum? It does not in any way put any country or it's government in good light to even accept that a number of it's citizens are seeking asylum let alone sugar coating it. |

danot1030: One thing that is common about pdp is making spurious allegations on the pages of media without taking it to court for prosecution, political propaganda to discredit their opponent. This is where apc is different, they don't just accuse but they come out with facts and figure back up with probe. For those that will argue that apc is able to probe because they in power should remember that pdp was in power for 16yrs and for 8yrs someone like Tinubu has no immunity and all will have had from pdp is media allegation that he enrich himself with Lagos. Amaechi has been accused of several cases of fraud, even during the senate ministerial screening it was amazing how he mesmerised his accusers, Buhari has asked that anyone with evidence of corruption against any of his officials should come forward with it, Wike should stop his propagandas and pile up his facts against Amaechi to the EFCC, he should tender the proof of the submition and challenge it in the law court. the funny thing about PDP supporters is that they have made screaming propaganda on APC their full time job without realizing that the only thing keeping the party afloat is propaganda. |
