Short trips sweet now o
Island, ikeja and Surulere. Na these 3 location get large amount of short trips, but I don't like short trips. It stresses car and waste fuel

The best is to be doing short-short trips on mainland till everywhere is clear, but I'm not the short trips type. Seems I go work into the night today.
If na night the traffic all clear, na night I go roll out.
Can't come and burn my precious (in Gollum's voice) fuel. grin grin
Cash out time for bolt drivers. cool
The traffic was mad,2 hours journey from Alapere to Adeola Odeku. But at the end pocketed 11k. Not a bad one

Thanks.

On best app, I like bolt too( the fact that I only get orders within a set range is bae, and no competition for a trip), but the day I used indrive. Order wan kill me.( Competition and the idea of riders still taking advantage of drivers in this period is discouraging.)

What do you suggest about this muscle drinking fuel anyhow pls?
1. AC Compromise will u save you more fuel, early morning trips and evening trips, weather is cool. Most riders wouldn't mind to do without the AC, if you can make them understand the situation of things on ground.

2. Buy petrol from reliable and trusted filling stations: Most filling stations petrol dey quick finish. They dispense fuel and air to make your tank look full. Little driving around fuel gauge don turn yellow. You have to observe the ones their fuel last longer and make them your favourite filling stations.

3. Make sure your tyres are properly gauge,

4. Over speeding dey make fuel finish on time. Your speedometer should be at 80 to 100 at most on 3rd mainland. On normal high way like ikorodu road and so on 40 to 60

5. Check your catalyst if still in good condition

6.. Routinely service your fuel injector and car engine. I do mine every end of the month cos it is for commercial purpose. I don't use kilometre driven to service car.

7. Aggressive driving too dey drink fuel[/quote]

Bros...Were this mostly offline trips.??.. I use Camry muscle too(I agree with the fuel consumption too).

15k to make 51k gross is amazing. Which app did this? The moment my tank reach halfway, d way the fuel drops is depressing. I don tire.

All these trips are on the island or mainland?

Did you take any break between trips?

I'll appreciate your response.
Answers to your questions

The App I use is BOLT: Number 1 ehailing app in Nigeria. I don't use Indrive, Rida and Uber their price is not really so good this subsidy period.

I Started work by 7am. By 12 noon I have made 28k thanks to long trips. I took 1 hour break to eat lunch. Continue by 1pm till 7pm. I have realized 51k.

30% of my trip was island and 70% was mainland.

So how much fuel did u use to make this bar?
15k fuel ( Half tank) to make 51k

There was no lfuel left in the tank after sales

2.4 litre engine Toyota Camry muscle. Fuel Consumption is a bit high

I would have made more if I drive Yaris, Corolla or Matrix.

Na Yaris dey enjoy this subsidy season: 22k full tank can gross close to 100k or more

Some of my guys dey use that car

Shebi una dey see...it's not even upto 24hrs u said u will never pursue bonus. U stopped 3yrs ago, u will only do 2 good trips a day n u r okay for the day.
Now here u are more than 11 trips. Hope say ur car no evaporate Sha.
Don't get me wrong. On weekdays I do an average of 2-4 trips that will fetch me at least 20k. After that am done for the day. But weekends like Friday, Saturday and Sundays I do alot more.

I didn't chase bonus honestly, cos I didn't even meet up. My goal was to see what I could make on this new fuel price #500 per litre. During today's adventure, I discovered that Bolt has increased their price to a reasonable amount, (not the initiaI price increase they did last week) , Then I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to drive longer and make more bar.

The strike has been a tremendous success. Almighty bolt increased their fares 3 times under 7 days. Uber increased their own for the 2nd time today. This is despite the very “hardworking” Nairaland drivers who always claim to make profit. 😆 But sane drivers protested and we’re making progress. Even though the prices are still unbalanced.

The next push is a total reduction of commission to 10% on all apps in Nigeria. We’d continue pressing their neck on Monday. I was at the protest ground today and the number of Corollas I saw, I’ve never seen it in my life. 😁

Kudos to all those who stood on the side of truth and made their voices heard on different platforms. From Lagos to Abuja to Kano to Delta, Ibadan, Kwara etc. Una well done . 🙌✌️

If dem throw you trip to Ajangbadi, Odo Eran, Ayobo inside, igbogbo, isawo etc grin

Will you go?

To chop that bonus, you must be willing do trips to these destinations.

Mind you there are rules to what you called Average 4 trips per day

Your Driver score and acceptance rate must not fall below a certain threshold

You must stay some certain hours online

No lies.
People should just do whatever they feel is good for them.
Lately I always have the urge to reply many people but most times once I finish typing the reply, I will just delete everything, because no matter what say people will just want to argue.

This is me advising any body that wants to venture into this line of hustle (drive by yourself), pls go ahead with no restraint. I can only tell u what I know and what I do.
I remember 2years ago when I was about to venture into this hustle, I planned buying a manual car, I came here to solicit for advice, what most people did was to discourage me and say a lot of demoralizing stories, and even go as far as posting traumatic pictures of drivers that drive manual cars (yam legs) grin
But there where still some people that spoke their Truth concerning my question ( I won't write there moniker so that the purpose of what I am writing won't be disturb), and I was lucky to decipher what's good for me.
I bought the manual car luckily it's in a perfect condition except for the Ac.
What I want to say is that, it's two years I am driving that car now, my legs are still fresh and fine, it doesn't ache or hurt, I have made my capital & much much more ROI, car is still in very good condition because I don't joke with maintenance.
Have there been challenges? Yes
Have I overcome? yes
Will there still be challenges? yes
Will I overcome? It's left to me.
Can't type it all.

I just pray say everyone go dey alright las las.

This is for those that wants to argue ( I do Ajo contribution of atleast 155k monthly) 20k every friday, and 75k monthly.

If u like say na lie na u Sabi.....I av just said it as it is.

The thing is that if these app owners raise prices at the same pace as fuel prices rise, they risk losing clients, and when they do, it will also have an impact on the drivers.
Then let them reduce their commission to 10%, if they can't raise their prices to suit the reality on ground.

They don't want to loose clients, but they can hold on to their 25 % commission.

Well nah drivers dey suffer the whole thing

So all of a suddenly everyone is lazy. Na only you and CheerfulG dey hardworking? 😆 Post your bolt figures just like CheerfulG posted his inDrive let’s see how you’re cashing out.

You can’t lie your way out of this fuel increase. The calculations are straightforward. Y’all can only deceive the gullibles on this Nairaland. In reality thousands of drivers are in different groups lamenting daily even this morning them don start. But over here y’all are living in your own alternate reality. 😆

Make una dey play.
The sad thing is that there are Judas and saboteurs amongst us. Who think they are making more money this period. They are the one spoiling the business for reasonably thinking drivers.

I hope these guys can afford to fix the car with what they are currently earning when serious issue come up.

Actually, I have discovered this thread is 90% lazy drivers, part-time drivers and people that aren't even in the business.

Arguing with them is a waste of time.
One would ordinary expect serious and genuine questions as to how to achieve success in the business, or just copy what they see. But no, na to sitdon dey press phone they talk "it's not possible", "it's not profitable"
They have been complaining since 19kokoro, period within which serious people have saved and travelled out, some have built houses and big busineses, some have multiplied their fleet and all manner of good reports from ehailing.

Fuel price is just another talking point and excuse for them, devil dey beat drum for their head and them dey dance to the rhythm. Within these 4days someone has made 80k driving with the same price increase, but some people have parked their cars, and are home crying and wailing, some say they are still observing. grin some say it is a rat race undecided some say it is running like a headless chicken lipsrsealed some say it is moving lagos up and down cry
Well, as our faces are different so are our challenges and destiny. Make everybody do wetin dem like with their life. Not stressing myself to proof anything again. But I will still be here for the people that really want to work and succeed in the business, I only pity the people that will be deceived to follow the ones that are secretly working and making it while discouraging others on this platform.
