pope191: 3 ladies infuriated the h*ll out of me last night. On my way home, I saw trip from secretariat mosque to street away from mine. Normally I don't do such trip, but yesterday was kind of drag for me, so I decide to run a trip of at least 2500 for 2k after like 5 attempts of price drag.
Got to PU, rider won't come out, keep begging "I'm coming". She came out and still have to wait for her friends. Immediately I knew it was all these contribution trip. I keep my cool because I can tell these people will have preferred route, but it have to be my way.
2 ladies joined her to make it 3. They ask me to take Lateef Jakande road with full blown traffic, while Berger is absolutely free. It won't work, I'm using Berger and no option of cancel, as I have already step on gas. One have to alight half way. It took them to start agreeing what each will pay when we get to Berger, because another need to alight. The whole process was just getting me upset inside.
I belive there are better things to invest money on, then the nonsense riders feed drivers atimes. The stressl wey dey this hustle no worth ₦4million car investment. I would gladly use that money to buy and sell goods and services than to use it to buy Car for Uber. |

Dailyparrot: But this Bolt fare can be ridiculously low. Imagine staying in traffic for 1 hour plus and the bad roads going to Ipaja and yet Bolt put the price at 4300. By the time they remove their 25% and the driver removes fuel money that he bought at 250/litre, how much will be left for such a stressful trip.
Reason I don't think twice before canceling requests going to such forbidden axis. I'm sure if you were to use indriver, without putting up a reasonable amount of money, you will old at that airport as no one would be willing to take you to iyana ipaja of all places inside that mad traffic for 4300 if you'd put that as your price even when they are paying 10% commission.
Bolt will not give you any favorable response because transfer is not part of the payment method.
I see riders like you as petty. You could have left the money but you don't want to. Stop this excuse that the money is not big to you if not the driver's attitude.
This is not supporting the driver. It has happened to me before and the difference in price is just 500 naira. I gave the petty rider 5k cash to give his girlfriend that was traveling yet he couldn't let go of 5h. Well, when he sent his account details, I sent him 400 naira deducting 100 naira for POS charges. Yes, I don't owe them that favor so I decided to charge.
What happens is that riders rejoice when the fair is ridiculously low even when they know that it's unfair to charge such amount for spending that long time in traffic.
Bolt is annoying without surge. You see January February and March nah Riders get am, Bolt dey always compensate them every beginning of the year for the money spent on crazy surge on previous year Don't expect fares to be high and reasonable enough this period. It's either you park your at home Jeje or you collect the peanuts. Car Maintenance and repair is very high now Fuel scarcity everywhere selling @ ₦250 |

@ Cheerful, Make I shock you small . During Xmas period when there was serious surge of 2.4 on Bolt , i got a trip on Rida from Magodo phase II to Lekki phase 1 to deliver cake, on my way out of Magodo, Luckily for.me I got another trip from Ikeja city mall to the same phase 1 on inDriver (courier) to deliver Christmas hamper. I quickly drove from CMD via otedola under bridge to pick up the hamper at ICM. All the Gifts I was asked to deliver was kept in the front seat. On my way to Lekki approaching Ogudu. My instinct told me to put on bolt app and set destination that I could get another trip going to lekki, getting to Gbagada bypass. Request came in from Millenium estate to Victoria Island, this time it was a rider going not to deliver gift or item. Immediately I diverted to Gbagada expressway, got to Millenium estate, pick up rider, descended Anthony, made a U-turn at ilupeju and proceeded to Lekki. Arriving at various destinations: I dropped rider first at Ligali Ayorinde Vi, that trip fetched me ₦9,200 on surge of 2.4 on Bolt I Delivered the hamper at Yakoyo,;Providence street Lekki phase 1. inDriver gave me ₦6500 I delivered the cake at Emma Ambibola Cole, phase 1: Rida fetched me ₦7000. That day was my happiest moment on Ehailing. I made a killing with 3 different Apps at the same time, total of ₦22700 on a single trip within 2 hours. on the 1st, I did same movement on 2 different Apps again.. Jack of All trade master of all The Goal is to maximise profit I don't agree sticking to one app |

CheerfulGiver: The only reason I still have bolt on my app is to make comparisons. How can an app still charge 25% while still having low fares? Why would I want to lose money driving for bolt? The manner at which you condemn Bolt nowadays is really not a good idea. Be calming down bros, every app has its advantages and disadvantages. Uber, Bolt, inDriver, Rida are very important tools every driver must have on their phone. Over independence on one app doesn't go down with me. What if you wakeup one day Blocked because one silly rating and comment from one sadist rider. I have every fvcking app on my phones, even that roof yellow taxi sign in my trunk for offline movement. I use 4 phones for the 4 different Apps. I put them on at the same time. It's give more opportunity to pick the good and profitable trip There are days one app is better is better than another, as for festive periods and Yuletide season Bolt is the KING regardless of their commission. Baba for this Lagos wey we dey " it's better to be "Jack of All trade master of All" than rely one app Lasgidi no be where driver suppose dey sleep on App. Opportunities to maximise earnings are on every App. |

Gentlelife50: Wahala, as from today rental should be 50k. Yeyegbami how u see am? Car owners wey dey collect 25k, 30k and 35k as weekly rental are trying no be small. If you know how expensive things are in Nigeria right now, u will understand. Hyper inflation done spoil Naira. Personally I feel the ideal weekly rental wey partners suppose to dey collect is 50k u mentioned, but when u do all the plus and minus of this Uber business, 50k weekly is a tedious one for the driver to deliver weekly. By this time next time week winter will start. I went to Cash and Carry lastweek to buy Fridge and heavy duty generator to stuck up food. Bag of rice, beans, Ewa, garri, casssava, agbado name it and even Provisions. All these small small money we spend eating outside is alot of money if u do the calculations on monthly basis. Baba, 50k nah ekpa money for Naija now, not too much for car owners to receive as weekly rental |
