Most car electronic get their power from the battery which is charged by the alternator (using fuel).

Car Radio gets it's power supply from the battery which in turn is charged by the car alternator (using fuel).

Using car sound system for a long time while the engine is off (on battery power alone) is not recommended (for non modern vehicles).

For modern vehicle, the radios are designed to consume very little power.

And for your information. If you put off your car and hold the horn for a long time it will drain your battery down.

Cars burn fuel to keep the battery charged while it's been drain by other applications.

You say you are Igbos, your governors, senator and the rest, are they not Igbos. Why aren't vthey helping you?.

Sure, if it's a Civic engine, the fuel economy is better than Corolla. Those Civic are also very reliable. That engine is well made.

But the problem is those early Civic has recalls due to few problems. The major one was the wheel issues. That's why people run to Corolla.

Using a Civic engine in a 2009 Accord; I don't know much about the 2009 Accord but if it doesn't have the wheel issue then I will say you have a super car.

It is only Honda Civic of the same year as Corolla that has superior fuel economy.

When you are comparing car fuel economy you should not directly compare something of 2003 with 2009. That's not how the comparisons are done.

That said many people avoid older model Honda because the wheels are not well made. Anytime time am driving one i always feel uneasy around corners. They problem has been resolved for newer model Sha but they are expensive.

It doesn't consume fuel a lot. Only Honda Civic (same year) can beat it in terms of fuel consumption.

If yours is consuming too much fuel, take it to the mechanic. It's likely you don't do regular oil change or maybe something more complex.

The actual reason is the cost of owning a Toyota Corolla.

Mechanically, it is almost faultless provided you do the usual regular oil change.

I can tell you that I have use one of those Corolla (2006) for eight years. Apart from the regular oil change, I have only done a break job, tyrod (not sure that's the right spelling) and battery replacement.

Mainwhile the BMW I was driving at the same time is a money pit. Apart from the fact that it drank fuel too much, I was spending too much money fixing one thing or the other.


NOTE: Toyota Corolla is not designed to be a racing or luxurious machine. It's is designed to be a tool to carry you from point A to B without breaking the bank.

Lexus is a luxurious brand of Toyota. If you want Toyota quality with luxurious features, then go for the Lexus. But mind you, being Toyota-based Lexus are even more expensive.

They majorly rely on Russia for nuclear fuel before but since 2014 they have been diversifying and getting some of their nuclear fuel from Sweden.
