My fear for these small vehicles is low space between bumper and the ground. My dream cars has always been SUVs and Big Jeeps like Tundra
Most SUV (even the new ones) drink fuel like water.

Sedan doesn't need much fuel. New sedan are almost as economical as most of the bikes (with older tech) we have here.

That's not true. Which statics did you read that? When it is not the 80s. I don't know anyone that used his/her car for 15 years. Do you know how long 15 years is? Most people I know sell off their cars after 8-10 years and get a new one.
I know many people of such, myself included.

Now, 11.8 million vs 1,000 naira
shocked shocked shocked

They got to like 9,000 feet before they lost communication... Whales don't go that deep. The pressure there is over 300 times the atmospheric pressure you're feeling on the surface.
What if they get attacked by a whale or Squid before they get to that depth? That's my question.

And...

You are wrong, a whale can dive 9,000 feet if the need arise.

In 2014, a whale went 9,816 feet.

You are taking about tons of pressure as if it's a good thing. It's bad news.

As humans we are still struggling with understanding Physics. There is a lot we know and don't know.

Let's stop assuming we have got everything under control because that is clearly not the case.

Civic is a great car. 2008 and above have better fit and finish. The good thing is that the price is not crazy high.

You are going to like it. Due make sure you have a mechanic check the it before you buy (especially if it's a locally used one).

It's normal. Even some oyibo people they drive one car for 30 years.

Everyone has his/her own taste. Some are only ok with the most recent trend while others are ok with old fashioned ones.

One man's food is another man's poison. Most Toyota can last upto 500 thousand miles. For someone who doesn't drive much, that's a lifetime car.

My Old cars are Toyota Corolla (2007), Honda Civic (2005), BMW (E30 series).

If am to choose, I will always go with the Toyota everytime.

How on earth will I use a car for 15yrs in this country? The car was bought new as official car in 2014 and ever since it has not been giving any issue. I still insist that I will pick it over Toyota anyday.
People who pick Toyota usually intend to use them for over 15 years.

Am not here to stump on your choice of car, just telling you that Toyota is better since brought it (Toyota) up.

My current Car, Subaru Impreza 2011 model. Fuel consumption is low, I drive it everyday for 3yrs now. I may not spend #1k on it in 3months except when I service and this vehicle drives one of the roughest street in Ogun state everyday. Such a reliable car. I will pick ahead any Toyota car.
Wait until 15 years of usage before you start bringing Toyota into this conversation.

Toyota and Honda have proven to be more realiable over time.

If am using any other car outside Toyota or Honda, I will sell them after 5 years of usage at maximum.

Nothing here to see. Just a girl acting by the script, playing to the gallery . It is all part of the play.

This Chef hilda's vs Chef Dammy's brouhaha has really opened my eyes to how an average Nigeria thinks and operate as human. People, most especially Nigerians; the social media peeps are automatically wired to social media influencers and artistes. They cant think for themselves, they are like sheeps, gullible zombies who only likes what the influencers like, move in the direction they follow. They only appreciate and cheers on what the popular influencers and artiste like. So anything other than that, outside the validation of this 'higher humans', is condemnable and unworthy to them.

Hilda capitalised on this well. She played the game very nice. She paid big influencers and artiste for publicity before going into the cook-a-thon. They publicised and promote her to their gullible followers whose only existence in life is to reflect, to mirror their validations. So any other person outside that circle, is seen as opportunist, a fake, or as someone not worthy of been cheered or champion.

Just like the case of Chef dammy. Most of this gullible followers criticising and attacking her, see her as fake, as unworthy just because the 'higher humans'; the influencers and artiste which they worship, havent given her their validations. So the followers see nothing good in her quest for recognition. To hell with her ! They say.

Senseless human who cant think for themselves. Who cant make decisions for themselves unless they are been influenced. You see them with big phones, speak and type big grammar, but have the brain as small as a single grain of sand divided into four places...
All this epistle just because pesin dey successful.

Chai, jealousy has really done shege to some people.

Kai, u truly don't know anything about cryptocurrency.
What is p2p?
If you can answer that then you would understand that you are not buying from the cryptocurrency exchange company directly rather from people that already own crypto. If you want to buy from crypto platforms get yourself a dollar card and fund it because bank will still not give you dollar to fund your account, u will still need to go to black market and buy dollar at the black market rate. You dey talk like say na the exchange platforms put rate for you.
Instead of saying the should stop cryptocurrency, say banks should allow for normal processing of foreign transactions because all crypto platforms still use bank rate just that banks has cut off the bridge for us to access official rates whenever we need. This is not only applicable to crypto but to everything including shopping and online payments. As long as it is foreign currency Nigerian banks won't provide it unless you are traveling abroad or schooling abroad or need foreign medical attention.
Am telling you that a goat has four legs, you are telling me that goats eat grasses.

Though your statement is correct, it does not disprove my argument.

Why is it so hard to get an active crypto user to be honest or is it that you people are ignorant about Nigeria monetary policies?

Do you know that by our policy, all monetary transactions must be transparent and traceable (to Nigeria)?

To the main issue...

Does Cryptocurrency transactions in Nigeria make use of P2P? YES

You can say the devaluation occurs from P2P which is a third party in this case but there is something called guilty by association/affiliation.
Even if you don't commit a crime yourself but your platform is used to do it (or benefits from it), then you are guilty by association.

Yes, CBN has halted dollar payment to some extent. They said the reason is to put an end to terrorism funding and also increase interest rate for foreign transactions.

I don't fully support it. Am a computer programmer, it has affected me more than you think but it is what it is.

Am not against you but as long as Nigeria economy/security is crumbling, Crypto will continue to be barned.

Crypto will only work if it find way to obey Nigeria monetary policies which is almost impossible unless those policies are reviewed.

The best option in my opinion is for some crypto companies to work with the CBN by providing data regarding their Nigeria-based transactions. This will eliminate a lot of things CBN are holding against them.
InvestmentRe: SEC Bans Binance Nigeria Limited: It Is An Illegal Entity by GENES11S: 1:36pm On Jun 10, 2023
quickhubservice:
Wetin u dey talk.... Cryptocurrency rate is same with CBN, but you can't transact directly with crypto platforms where the sell crypto, u use third party peer to peer to buy or sell crypto because of banks stopping direct card payments on any foreign site. You can only transact if you use a dollar card and all your payments and withdrawals will be processed in dollars, then when you withdraw your dollars you still have to go to black market to get a high rate for it else you want bank to change it at there own rate.
Even Nigerian banks don't issue dollars to random people at official rates anymore.
At what rate is the P2P dollar transaction which is associated to cryto? Is it the same as CBN rate? NO

You are contradicting yourself.

You points mentioned above shows that you are speaking from both ends. Do other countries have 2 exchange rates?

Do other countries give or sell foreign currency to a selected few and the rest buy from this few?

Pls, just review Ur reasoning and get updated on the right knowledge.
