My personal problem with consuming yams is that i do not digest them. Once i eat them. Its like my entire stool is purely yam.

It happens when the yam is hard (not well cooked), the human stomach cannot house it for long and will throw it out.

Try cooking the yam to the level where it is very very soft and eat moderately (not too much).
