You don't want me to tell you about all the exciting things you do. . . do you? And keep rollling those eyes - it's either you have a fit of vertigo or you hypnotize me.

@ Genial Yeah you're right in that line of thot. But there is one more thinkung u should,,,,,,,,think and tell me what I want
Ok. You want it, but you don't want it. You want it because you're sizing up another. You don't want it because. . . well, you're confused. Therefore you don't know what you want because what you want isn't exactly what you want and what you don't want is what you think you don't want, but you actually want.

That'll be £500.

Create the wings, simple! grin The problem is when your target is not a bird, a plane or a flying saucer - or indeed any known flying animal, and then you tell us that it flies without wings! tongue

What's with the squeal? Is your target a SOW? grin

Seun:
Interesting stories are based on unlikely events. Normal events are boring because they happen around us all the time. A story about pigs flying, if properly delivered, is far more interesting than a story about pigs that don't fly!! The burden is on me to convince you that such an unlikely event could happen under the circumstances of my story.
Fair enough.

1. My intention is not to bash your effort, but rather to contribute constructively towards your attempt to develop a good script.

2. Rewind: Your story is quite interesting,  well-written and intriguing so far.

3. In my opinion, for the doctor to fall for the patient would be too predictable. From the story line, this is something you would expect to see in a Nollywood script or a children's play. It is immediately obvious who the giver and recipient of the attention are, respectively. One actually dares to hope for a different outcome than the expected man + woman = romance.

4. If the pigs must fly, at least you could try to make it believable. Pigs may fly in space and on the moon, but not on earth. Unless, of course, they are special pigs that have wings, etc. What I'm saying is, how probable is it that a successful young, attractive, female medical doctor will go weak at the knees from the attentions of an 18-year old male patient, as suggested in this story?

After Patience leaves, Sisi, still smiling,
arranges her desk to create some space for the
bouquet of flowers.  Then she preens her hair and
applies some makeup after fetching a mirror from
her purse. She cradles the card on her chest like
a baby for a while, and lays it face up on her
         table.
Finally, she gets up, still smiling. With both
hands in the pockets of her overalls, she marches
out of her office and locks the door after
         herself.  Still smiling.

The message on the card sent by Doctor Sisi's
secret admirer, left open on her able, reads,
"Doctor, YOU are the girl in my visions.
                How about that?"
So, for this particular pig to fly, it must have wings or be specially endowed to do so. Why should there be a romance between the two of them, and HOW can the doctor be so easily influenced by him - it's not as though she's never seen a man before, is it?

Perhaps the latter instalments of the story will try to answer these questions.

Regards,
G.

zPixel:
Wow, nice script.

If i predict right, SISI will fall for IRISI; besides, the age difference is not much.

And what's the lesson undecided
If you predict right, the story is not worth reading, because that would be so improbable that it would take a world without gravity and flying pigs to make it happen.

Seun:
Thanks! Yes, Sisi and Irisi are going to have an affair, but no one knows whether the relationship will last. The major lesson in this story is that certain illnesses - psychosomatic illnesses - originate from the mind.

When I get my production equipment, I'll probably produce and direct this script and put the movie on Youtube!
I see that pigs actually do fly. I stand corrected.

What can i say?

I have been labelled as Anti-west by some Nairaland users.

Please don't go to exchange rate at all.
Sample

An average room not a flat in London cost £60 a week which is £240 a month.

£240=(240*245)= #58,800.

Imagine #58,800 for a room in a shared flat in London. I must be living in Victoria Island.
£60/wk? That would be a very good bargain indeed. Try £80 - £150/wk, depending on where you live, of course.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Nairaland Awards For 2006 by Genial(m): 10:17pm On Dec 19, 2006
If this is going to work, then a committee of unbiased members has to be selected to review the posts during a specified period of the year, specify the categories of awards and produce a shortlist of nominees for the awards. The nominees will then be presented to the house for voting - either by a selected "electoral college" or by the wider house.

This is the best way.

Okay honey, i have to admit reading through your post was not easy halfway through i started to feel sorry and not for you but for myself, i guess if you read through it again you'll realise why.

Now to your issue i don't really think there's much to say, she's offered to be just friends and there's nothing you can do about it, though it was wrong of her to lead you on. What's done is done. I guess next time you should be really upfront about yourself and what you want from a relationship and if the girl doesn't feel the same way then you know where to head.
Hey! This is quite confusing. I beg your pardon, ma'am, but I mistook your id for Damsol! Damsol, Damsal . . . undecided

PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Picks Governor Jonathan Goodluck As Presidential Running Mate ! by Genial(m): 5:44pm On Dec 19, 2006
I suspect that GJ was given the slot because he is seen as a consensus candidate - one who "has" the least interest in the position, and therefore would be more acceptable to the other pretenders to the throne who were overlooked. In my opinion, this has something to do with compensation of the SSGzone, but it is a compensation with a carrot attached. It may have more with the desire of the ruling "cabal" to perpetuate themselves in office than any desire to do what is best for the nation. GJ is not particularly known for being aggressive and disloyal, if you remember his role in the dethronement of his erstwhile boss, DSP.

We see here an apparent compromise - the setting aside of the old brigade and the infusion of fresh blood into the system. But how fresh is this "fresh blood", and is it really blood?
