That poster is a fulani herdsmen. So all the killings and raping of farmers who protested the destruction of their crops were by who? Is he ok?
The farmer-herdsmen clash is what it is. Those are herdsmen fighting against farmers. But the people shooting at cars and kidnapping people are not herdsmen.

Herdsmen are Fulani who own cattle.

Bandits are Fulani who don't have cattle
but have been invited by the herdsmen ( who
know all the bush terrain in Nigeria ), to
come & rob.

They work hand in hand & have a
sharing formula.

The herdsmen are the brain, while
the bandits are the tools & foot soldiers.

Interestingly enough, most cattle rustlers
are Fulani.

We are not fooled. angry angry
Use your head. Herdsmen are one of the biggest victims of the bandits.

What an imbe-cile. Do yourself a favor and read the article attached in my original post. It was written by a global world class organization.

Have you heard of cattle rustlers? Those are bandits that attack Fulani herdsmen and steal their cow. Use your brain for once.

Because an Igbo kidnapper has a shop does not mean all kidnappers of Igbo extraction are traders

A Fulani is a Fulani. No distinction. Fulani are the bandits, they are the killer herdsmen, they are the kidnappers
So when kidnapping was very prevalent in the SE a few years ago, was it being perpetrated by Igbo traders or Igbo criminals?

Andhominem:
Time and again, there have been kidnappings and attacks on our highways. Those who were lucky to escape have testified that the bandits were Fulani.

Olu Falae and Iyabo Anisulowo were kidnapped by Fulanis. So have been many prominent Yorubas.

So why is difficult to finger Fulani Herdsmen in this scenario seeing that the circumstances are similar to what have obtained on that route for some time nowhuh

Now, Funke's death is a call to justice for all the 'nobodies' that have been killed by Fulani herdsmen on that route. It is not about Funke alone. It's a wake up call.

I have called people living in that axis and they have confirmed that Fulani herdsmen are a menace. They have always been though. They just got worse and brazen.

Hence, I insist that any Yoruba excusing Fulani herdsmen at this time is a bastard! angry

Thank God, we crashed out of AFCON. Had we won, we may have quickly forgotten this case.

#JusticeforFunkeOlakunrin

#NotoFulaniHerdsmeninYorubaland
So because the people that committed the crimes are Fulani, they must be herdsmen?

When Igbos commit crime, do we say the perpetrators are traders?

When Yorubas commit crime, do we say the perpetrators are conductors?

Must yoy put "Fulani" in front of it? Cant they just be bandits?

You people are so tribal
Lol, I'm the very opposite of tribal.

The first step is to get people to stop conflating Fulani herdsmen and Fulani bandits. Once Nigerians understand this, we can talk about removing Fulani entirely. Currently, we don't say Igbo armed robbers, or Yoruba armed robbers so we should not be saying Fulani bandits. But the immediate issue is to stop the demonization of herdsmen based on crimes committed by some Fulanis that are not herdsmen.
PoliticsFulani Herdsmen are different from Fulani Bandits by Genius100(op):
It's completely mind-boggling how Nigerians including the news media are unable to distinguish between Fulani Herdsmen and Fulani Bandits. The Fulani herdsmen have been terribly victimized by the Fulani bandits and that is one of the reason they are migrating south.

The Fulanis engaged in kidnapping, attacks on highways and other atrocities are bandits not herdsmen. The bandits are criminal gangs that have been terrorizing people up north including herdsmen. These guys are completely different from Fulani herdsmen.

Blaming Fulani herdsmen for kidnapping and such is blaming the victim. So how do I know? well, check out the excellent research paper below. If you want a comprehensive understanding of what's going on, read the entire research paper. Hopefully, one day we can get our useless journalists to put something like this together instead of ignorantly publishing nonsense.

Rural Banditry and Cattle Rustling
Rural banditry also is driving herders south. Over the last decade, cattle rustling has grown in scale and organisation in several northern states where large bandit groups operate with mounting audacity. While this occurs throughout the north, the main theatres have been the Kamuku forest in Kaduna, Falgore forest in Kano, Dansadau forest in Zamfara and Davin Rugu forest stretching through Kaduna, Katsina and Zamfara states. Cattle theft reportedly also has been a major source of funding for Boko Haram in the north east.

The loss is hard to estimate: many thefts, especially those occurring in remote villages or forests with limited state security presence, go unreported. One report estimated that in 2013 more than 64,750 cattle were stolen and at least 2,991 herders killed in states across the north-central zone. From 2011 to 2015, bandits, cattle rustlers and other criminals killed 1,135 people in Zamfara state alone, according to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). Vigilante groups formed to combat bandits (variously known as Yan Banga, Yan Sa Kai and Kato da Gora) have compounded insecurity in some areas where the arrest and summary execution of rustlers sometimes has invited massive retaliatory violence. Elsewhere, vigilantes have turned into predators themselves, extorting cash and cattle from herders as “protection levy”.

PoliticsRe: An Open Appeal To All Tribal Bigots On Nairaland by Genius100: 3:44am On Jul 13, 2019
lezz:
It is disheartening to watch on social-media when Nigerians resort to tribal slurs and cruel jibes at one another at the slightest of chance. Ironically most of the jeering participants are often decent fellows offline who have in their close circles as friends people of other ethnic groups.

Nigeria is a mere geographical expression of the British experiment , so opined a leading political figure. Perhaps it was so during the 1914 amalgamation. A casual look at the sociopolitical and economic evolution of Nigeria ever since will lead any honest observer to draw a very contrasting conclusion.

For the Igbos do bound her neighbours in the south south in Abia and Imo and delta states and there has been a cultural and economical entwinement in this region. The Igbos also bound the north/Middlebelt in Enugu,Benue and Kogi states.

The yorubas share a little ancestral linkage in delta and Edo states in the south south and are in an eternal sociopolitical blending with the north in kwara and Kogi states.

All of Nigeria seems to meet in some critical geographical junction which suggests there's a bit of ALL OF US in ALL OF US. There is therefore no clear cut geographical or cultural demarcation for secession or breakup.

Summarily, Nairaland has morphed into Africa's biggest online meeting hub with a very sizable number of foreigners both from Africa and beyond. Disappointingly, this is where Nigeria's most ignorant tribal bigots have chosen to launch their scathing and diversionary tribal slurs..... in front of the watching world.

It should be clear that Nigeria is beyond breaking into tiny irrelevant geographical entities. The civil war failed; June 12 failed and has boko haram .

The destiny of Nigeria -- the very premise by which it became is bigger than any single tribe.

While we berate each other and call one another names, the rest of Africa watches with patience, waiting for us to solve our own riddle and lead the entire black race to its true dignity.

The former United Nation's Secretary General, Kofi Annan in Abuja ,January in front of a world press made a daring declaration : " The destiny of Africa is in the hands of Nigeria".

It is a sad commentary that foreigners have more faith and hope in Nigeria than Nigerians. When little minded, shortsighted tribal bigots ,with no sense beyond the relevance of their tribe, dance in a show of tribal shame, the effects resonate around Africa and the black diaspora. For every tribal cruelty spawned online on the ocean of our national existence, the waves of its

aftereffects is felt in the depths of Africa.

The world is aware of our shortcomings in corruption, government inefficiency but their faith is bigger than our dismays. Because there has been progress -not because of the bigots but in spite of them.

Nigeria remains the only black Country with a fair chance of being a super power, but it will take a united and strong Nigeria to achieve this.

The sooner we shed the last vestige of secession, the faster we shall begin to practice true coexistence with the option of disintegration so far off in the distance of genuine brotherhood.
Nothing will change bro until the irresponsible management and moderators declare zero tolerance for ethnic baiting and immediately ban the perpetrators and delete all of their post.

Nice point here.

Don't you think it's better for the government to tackle the problems rather than to run from the problems.

For example they may begin an afforestation scheme and tighten up security. Or what do you think?

Because, if the north isn't safe from cow thieves, the east will be more dangerous.
Yes but afforestation takes years. A lot is being done on security and the banditry has slowed down a bit. Building ranches is the ultimate solution

But, fortunately for me, a few reasonable folks replied to my comment objectively.

Now I have a question that I need honest answers to:

We all know that the north have more land than the south and east combined. So why aren't they just rearing their cattle in the north and leaving the south alone?
Why do they still want land in the south?

Or is there some benefit for the south in this scheme that I'm not seeing?

Kindly give reasons for your response. And please avoid insults and hate speech. Let's enlighten ourselves.

Note: this is a honest question and I need honest answers. Thanks.

Please don't
Desertification is far more prevalent in the north than the south. The north is also full of bandits and cattle rustlers who have been attacking the herders and stealing their cows.

I’ll make Naira equal in value to dollar, says Buhari

Owerri – The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday said he would ensure that the Naira was equal to the dollar in value, if voted into office.

Buhari stated this during the South-East presidential rally of the party at Dan Anyima Stadium, Owerri.

“It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,’’ he said.

He urged the people to vote for APC, noting that he would ensure that corruption was tackled headlong if elected.

Earlier, Gov Rochas Okorocha had urged APC supporters to vote for the party’s candidates at all levels, noting that a vote for Buhari without support to others at the state would amount to nothing.

Okorocha said Buhari would address the problem of electricity, bring back the kidnapped Chibok girls and promote industrial growth.

He said that Buhari was loved by the people in the region and urged them to elect him and other APC candidates during the March 28 and April 11 general elections.

Former governor of Anambra, Mr Chinwoke Mbadinuju and former Minister of Education, Chinwe Obaji, were formally welcomed to the APC at the rally.

The rally was attended by APC supporters from Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu and Imo. (NAN)

I immediately ask if they are suffering and they will reply no, I'm not suffering, but people are suffering. I have been looking for those who are suffering because of Buhari but they seem not to exist anywhere. The only people you see are those who claim they are doing well but are complaining about how others are suffering. And funny enough, it is these imaginary people who are hungry and suffering that they are banking on to vote out Buhari. See wahala ba.
I myself have seen people who are suffering. Benue workers and pensioners. Kogi workers and pensioners, Abia and Bayesla workers. They are being owed salary hence, their misery. I can not come and start lying that Buhari, who has given bail out funds to those states severally is responsible for their sufferings. I also admit that the standard of living increased, and as usual, Nigerians adjusted. The standard of living has always been increasing in Nigeria.
Next is the 20 something million people that lost their jobs. Thats a sizable amount of the total workforce. At least 20 percent of workers. That's to say one out of every 5 workers lost their jobs. Means they shouldn't be difficult to come across, But I have searched all over and kind find them. They barely exist anywhere. I personally know 3 people who lost their jobs since Buhari came to power. 2 of them got other jobs. I also know 21 people that were jobless and have gotten jobs since Buhari came in. I myself resigned from my job, turned down another job.
So if our pdp apologists are banking on the people suffering and those who lost their jobs to vote out Buhari, sorry for you. They don't exist.
20 million people didn't lose their jobs. More people are employed now than there were in 2015. The unemployment rate is high because more people joined the workforce and haven't found jobs..

Mr Rights exclusive: Oby Ezekwesili tricked with fake prophecy to run for 2019 Presidency

https://mrrightsng..com/2018/11/oby-ezekwesili-tricked-with-fake.html?m=1

Many were surprised when the Co-Founder of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG), Madam Oby Ezekwesili suddenly joined Nigeria’s presidential race in October 2018 shortly before the close of nomination.

A lot of questions were raised about what prompted the former Minister of Education into joining the presidential race at such a die minute without adequate preparation.

Mr Rights have now exclusively gathered that Madam Oby Ezekwesili was tricked with fake prophecy to run for the 2019 presidential election in Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation.

The fake prophecy was allegedly delivered to her in Lagos by a fake pastor known as Dania Emmanuel.
Recall that as at August 2018, Madam Oby was yet to be interested in running for the number one position in the country. As a matter of fact, she moderated an event organized by Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) on August 31st 2018 to produce a consensus candidate among the new breed presidential aspirants at the time.

However, Madam Oby suddenly joined the presidential race in October, picking the ticket of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) few days before close of nomination and many have been asking what prompted the former minister into making such decision.

Mr Rights has exclusively gathered that Madam was tricked by a fake pastor, Dania Emmanue, who was serving the interest of some vested interest in the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

It was revealed that Pastor Dania Emmanuel, who heads House of Praise (HOP) prayer center, located in Lekki, Lagos state Nigeria approached Madam Oby Ezekwesili with a claim of prophecy from God.

Sources in the know told this platform that Dania reportedly told the brilliant woman that God ordered him to inform her to run for the office of president, because she is the anointed one to lead Nigeria in 2019 and after delivering the fake prophecy and convincing her to buy the story, he was said to have washed her feet with bottle water, laid hand on her for prayer and also put some anointed oil on her. This prophecy, Mr Rights gathered, was responsible for Madam Oby’s sudden interest in the presidency. She now believed her candidature to be anointed or ordained.

However, further investigation by Mr Rights revealed that, Dania Emmanuel is a fake pastor being used by vested interest in the ruling party. He is a former Usher turned pastor at the Redeemed Church of God, who was sent back to Nigeria from their Indonesia branch over allegation of misappropriation of funds.

Upon his return to the country, he was protected by some powerful people in the church, the same people now using him for dirty political jobs.

Dania is currently a factional Chairman of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), accused of being a mole in the party. The founding Chairman of the party, Dr Jay Samuel once told Mr Rights in an interview that Dania was planted into the party by some powerful people in the country. Dr Samuel also accused an undisclosed church of being behind the crisis in the party.

Also, Dania and Fela Durotoye were both accused of collecting N1.3billion from the All Progressive Congress (APC) through their network with Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, a claim denied by Durotoye.

It was then alleged that, ‘’the APC brought in N1billion few weeks to the presidential primary of ANN, among which N250million was given to Dania Emmanuel, a redeemed church pastor’’.

‘’Further investigation also showed that, Dania Emmanuel is embroiled in serious problem with his bank accounts and all his bank accounts remained inaccessible. Findings show that, the bank verification number (bvn) has put Dania integrity into question. It was gathered that he operated different accounts with different names and date of births. This led to shutting his account by all his banks. And as at the time of that report, even the party's account cannot be signed by him because he has a contradictory date of birth’’.

This is the same pastor who allegedly gave the false prophecy to Madam Oby and anointed her to be president in 2019, prompting her to join the race.

Mr Right’s sources alleged that, Dania is being used by the office of the Vice President to do some dirty jobs for APC. It was alleged that, because the APC felt it has lost confidence of the Nigerian people, particularly in the southern part of the country, they are doing everything possible to prevent serious opposition parties from gaining those votes they have lost. They want as many unprepared candidates to come in from those areas to waste the votes.

Madam Oby is known to be a popular person from South east with capacity to get considerable support from that region. The reason for instigating her to run through fake prophecy is to ensure that the votes of people from south east, who are known to be very hostile to the APC is splitted and wasted.

Understanding that the intelligent woman may not buy into any shady deal that may tarnish her image, and considering how they have severally humiliated her over her demand for the return of Chibok and Dapchi girls, the APC through office of the VP decided to trick her into joining the race through fake religious prophecy.

Knowing that she is a religious person, getting an unknown pastor to approach and inform her of a supposed prophecy from God may get her to believe the genuineness of the prophecy.

Mr Rights also gathered that the APC, through office of the Vice President is doing everything possible to waste votes of the young people by sponsoring several unprepared candidates to run so that the votes of aggrieved young people, who may not vote for the APC can be wasted.

More details of the fake prophecy given to Madam Oby to be published soon.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Main Problem Is NOT Corruption. It Is Lack Of Money. by Genius100: 7:27pm On Oct 30, 2018
Rossikki:
Diversification is not about ''having/needing a lot of money to diversify''. It is about putting the right policies in place to spur production across multiple sectors. Instruments like tax breaks and low interest rates for selected industries, such as tourism, or the film industry, or car manufacturers. Or ensuring greater access to credit for certain industries like agribusiness or mining. Or building infrastructure with Publlc/Private Partnership financing. Here the govt collaborates with private firms to build infrastructure, and provides them with revenue subsidies like tax breaks or guaranteed annual revenues for a fixed time period.

The government can actually launch a diversification strategy that does not require it to spend a single extra penny. So it's not really about money. It's about having a willing, clued-up leader, with the right economic team in place.

As stated earlier, Nigeria IS on a path towards greater diversification. For instance, there are some very important rail projects coming on stream, such as the Ajaokuta-Itakpe line that will significantly boost steel production. There are other miscellanous developments, such as the recently commissioned 350 million dollar Sunti Golden Sugar Estate (SGSE) in Niger State, that will employ 10,000 people and make Nigeria a major centre for sugar production and exports. So we are not standing still. We are moving, though it could be more robust.

They have ''far lower populations than Nigeria'', and therefore far less demands on their budgets. A house of three people that earns N100,000 a month is richer than a house of ten people that earns 200,000 a month.
Bro, putting the right policies in place is not enough. You can't adequately diversify without having the necessary general infrastructure. When the money that should be used for infrastructure is chopped, how will you diversify?
