BusinessRe: Payoneer Mastercard Wahala-- What They Don't Tell You. Beware! by gentlefada(m): 8:35am On Oct 27, 2017
PayoneerTe:
Hi everyone,

I'm Talia from Payoneer. I'd like to explain a bit about our service.

Payoneer was founded to provide companies and organizations with a way to pay their users worldwide. We operate in almost every country in the world, and we don't have services that are exclusively for - or not offered to - specific countries.

Since the main purpose of the card is to receive partner payments (we have over 1,400 partners and have new ones every week), we require that you receive at least one partner payment before we can let you privately load your card.

Once you have received at least one partner payment, you can load your card yourself by going to the homepage and clicking on Load Money to Card on the right side of the screen. You can load up to $1000 per day through the private load feature. Partner payments are unlimited in amount.

Indeed, we do have fees, namely the monthly maintenance fees and the ATM fees (no fees to use the card online or offline at any merchants that accept MasterCard), but there is no one that can offer this service for free - we have to pay MasterCard as well.

Anyway, the current options to load your card are:

1) Partner payment (mandatory before you can receive a private load or card to card)
2) Local bank transfers from partners directly into your bank account - to Nigeria as well
3) Card to card transfers
4) Private loads
5) ACH for US-based users

Please let me know if you have any other questions that I can answer. I would be more than happy to answer them. smiley

IPO stand for Initial Public Offering and is a situation whereby a private company in a bid to raise capital invites the public to subscribe to its shares. Growing up in the early and mid 2000's (currently in my mid twenties) there were a lot of advertisement on local TV for IPO's but since the turn of 2010 the only one I can remember is for DARRSAT (wonder what happened to them). OK, so I'll start off by saying yes I am an introvert. and my daily routine is either I'm reading a book or being on the internet or watching a movie or just allowing my thoughts to consume me literally. Sometimes I sit and think or should I say creating a scenario in my head... like I'm thinking of how the future would be or I'm recreating a past event that happened (to me) and you know turn it to how it should have been? sort of. Sometimes I'm curious about the littlest things it just makes wonder a lot. like there's just mysteries in this world, hell the universe like what if there's another planet like earth and there's another me somewhere out there in space?....

well anyways is this normal or it's just me?
well, it is normal if done moderately but could lead to depression if not. In the past i use to do the things you described in addition to a lot of Enya, Yanni, Dido and the likes. What it led to was a constant state of sadness and it started affecting my outlook of life and the way i related to people. Am still like that some days and i enjoy it but am careful not to stay that way for too long.

I must say that I was very impressed, even though there were a lot of Areas that need Improvement, it was an Event well executed. I seriously doubt that any Chambers here at IlorinLaw can hold such an Event now.
don't agree with ur optimism because I felt some of the witnesses were couched to say certain things.
Kudos to justice chambers anyways for an entataining event.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Food Or Shelter, Which Is More Important. by gentlefada(op): 12:31pm On Sep 01, 2014
[quote author=kovak]In Abraham Maslow's theory of hierarchy of needs, basic needs comes first. And the basic needs are listed in order of their primal importance to life:
1. Food
2. Clothing
3. Shelter.

So to me, food is most basic thing. That, of course, includes water.[/quote
u just said its a theory but the question is how true is that theory.....

This is a thread borne out of students arguing in Fajuyi hall at Obafemi Awolowo University and the basic question is which of the two is more essential for survival for any human being. Food or shelter....
PhonesRe: MTN Latest Gimmick by gentlefada(m): 8:49pm On Aug 14, 2014
shortgun: Really!? How does ones phone reserve credit for Internet browsing?
Primary purpose of a mobile phone is to make calls, not to browse or any other thing.
There is a flaw in there system but they will never admit it, or they are doing this on purpose.
Ofcourse the problem is from MTN because my etisalat sims does not do the same on the same phone but thats what they told me when I called their CC
PhonesRe: MTN Latest Gimmick by gentlefada(m): 6:28pm On Aug 14, 2014
shortgun: I've observed that am not able to initiate calls on my MTN line anytime my credit drops below #100, I will start to hear that yeye female voice saying "your credit has been exhausted and your call terminated, you can borrow airtime from MTN to continue your call bla blah blah.

If I check my credit balance by dialing *556#, I will see that I still have credit on my account.

Also, you can't borrow credit from MTN unless you have exhausted the credit in your account, so frustrating when you are no where near where to buy a recharge card.

It's like they are trying to discourage people from borrowing.
They should just stop the service if they can't manage it.
Called their customer care about this problem. The issue is that ur fone is reserving ur remaining balance for internet browsing. So what you would do is to simply switch of ur mobile data and make ur call and switch it back on when u are through with ur call. No need to switch off ur fone.

Music/RadioRe: Your Thoughts On Our Radio Stations, Programs And Their OAPs. by gentlefada(m): 9:05am On Aug 01, 2014
lovingsoul: There is something happening on our radio stations that most of us don't get to observe. For those who listen to our local radio stations, you will have an idea about what am saying. No one should get me wrong, our radio stations and their respective presenters are the best thing to happen to us. There are some that could just be annoying and unbelievable.

In my opinion, rhythm fm is one of the best things on airways, they bring out the rawest form of broadcasting. The likes of Nanya, Toke, Big time, IK and Omalicha. If you listen to them you will begin to love radio more than tv, believe me.

On their contents and programs, i love virtually all, but in my opinion, Sharing life issues with charles B is the best radio program at this moment in time. Though their tv station STV leaves you annoyed most times.

After rhythm, beat fm is another cool and highly original radio station, their presenters are top notch, esp Gbemi. Cool fm and inspiration fm are also cool in their own ways. Brilla fm wows me at the depth and importances they give to sports. They are the best in their field.

Now to some radio programs and presenters that are just below par or they just try so hard to over impress and loose the fun and respect in broadcasting.

Phoneix of rhythm and her program is just a drap in my opinion. Another is the group of four on classic fm, Bukky, sholls and kayode. Most times this 3 sounds unbelievably ignorant of the larger society outside their studio, esp bukky and Kayode, i maybe wrong, but they all except Temisan sound so cocky, insensitive and highly unprofessional most times.

There are still much to say, add your views.
i agree that bukky can be a little corcy sometimes but oblivious to or ignorant of the nigerian society is not an informed description of her. in my opinion she is one of the most informed and social concious OAP's in Lagos.

PoliticsWhy Did U Vote For President Goodluck Jonathan? by gentlefada(op): 7:43pm On Dec 23, 2013
The 2011 elections that brought president Goodluck Jonathan into power was said to be free and fair. If that is true that means people actually went to the poles and voted and their votes counted. If that is also true that means Nigerians voted for president Goodluck Jonathan. So i would like to know what convinced Nigerians to vote for a president that is so flawed. What did people see in him that convinced them that he was the right man for the job.
EducationRe: A Thread For Law And Philosophy Undergraduates, Graduate and Aspirant. by gentlefada(m): 12:33pm On Dec 20, 2013
Illuminatus: I've not had any Law classes, thanks to the strike. But I've read somewhere where it's said that Law can't be defined in a general sense since it's so dynamic so it's defined in technical sense.
Anyway, thanks:-)
The second definition goes something like: Legal Method is the learning the use and construction of legal rules with the view of gaining insight on how they are planned and organised to achieve its objective in a society.
basically, what the definition talks about is the purpose of the course itself. Legal method is a course that exposes the mind of an aspiring lawyer who has little or no knowledge of the law or how it operates to the basic tools required for societal balance through the law. These tools include:
1) statutes i.e. books that contain statutory enactments e.g. the constitition
2) classification of law i.e. Different classes of law e.g private and public law.
3) judicial precedent (case law) i e. Decision made by judges etc.
Hope i have tried to ansher your question....
EducationRe: A Thread For Law And Philosophy Undergraduates, Graduate and Aspirant. by gentlefada(m): 8:37am On Dec 20, 2013
Illuminatus: The second definition of Legal Method by the textbook is much too confusing. The first definition was short and I understood perfectly, "Legal Method can be defined as the attempt to explain the technique of thinking like a lawyer".
Secondly, why did the word "attempt" come in?
If you have had enough law classes you would have been told many times that legal definations are impossible. That is, it is always very difficult to put a generally accepted definition to a concept of law because law is dynamic and definitions are based on personal opinion. That is why when there is a definition being made it is most times refered to as an 'attempt' since it can be later rebutted by another legal mind. And for the other, pls help me by posting it as i dont remember what the defination is.

boss am still in part 2 (thanks to the strike) so my opinion on this might be a bit amateur. Nonetheless, i think what ur project supervisor is asking for is case law. you obviously have given good arguments but he wants u to show how those arguments relate to the legal world. So you have to give me cases decided on those arguments of yours.
