Good question.
The person that replied you with names of former American presidents that wear tattoos should note that world leaders and Ambassadors are ELECTED or APPOINTED, not EMPLOYED... The difference is clear.

BTW, You seem to be very active in the Jobs/Vacancy section of Nairaland. Does that suggest that you are unemployed? (No offense intended).

In Nigeria, the loser goes to court to try luck. In this jungle, you either win through the ballot or through the court.
And with the way things are happening in court recently, I see the supreme court giving us more than one governor this time around.

The BVAS used in the Presidential election took them crooked, dirty demonic politicians unawares.

That's why a party like the LP won in many places,
But that will not happen again.

They came back prepared this time.

Nows the order is;
*Snatching the BVAS,
*Chasing opposition voters with thugs,
*Bribing INEC and the military to aid in rigging,
*Writing/ Changing results during collation, and
*Telling opponents "go to Court"

When the British Prime Minister said Nigeria was fantastically corrupt, a lot of individuals were happy about it, thinking the man was referring to Buhari alone.

Truth is; he was referring to us, all of us.

Politics / Re: My Experience With Vote Buying In Akwa Ibom State. by gentlegenius(m): 7:56am On Mar 19, 2023
Elistho:
In the presidential elections, a few others and I were disenfranchised because of unit problems, I went to the polling unit by 7AM, I waited till 5PM but couldn't vote. INEC arrived by 2:30PM after choas that day, I went home tired and frustrated.

Today, I wasn't in my polling unit, I took risk and traveled from my state capital to my location today. The road was so dry, Military everywhere, no public transport, I almost urinated in my cloths at the sight of armed forces men... I waited and luckily saw a bus, I ran to enter, we took a bush track... We were all scared, it wasn't easy this morning...

I arrived my unit, my neighbor asked me if I'm voting PDP, I was shocked, this is someone we both agreed to vote YPP, because he's a better candidate, she had been bought over with money... She directed me on what to do and who to meet to get my 5k there.

I queued, voted and step aside. The police man was bribed, he gave party agents way to stand and look at the votes cast, if it's PDP, they take you to the backyard, write your name and account number, expect 5k while they give you 1k as initial thank you.

I wasn't too shocked, this was the system... I wanted the money so badly, I was even laughed at... Coupled with my suffering today, plus during the presidentials everyone collected except me... Today, I can't boast of a thousand naira but I stood by grounds for the sake of equity and good conscience.

PDP won the unit, with a wide margin.. I was vexed... I came back home, even posted on my WhatsApp, I'm being laughed at, and I began wondering when doing good turned to a thing of mockery now....

I pray God opens a way for me so I can keep closing my eyes when I see money like this, as a student, 6k is way too much in this economy... But we move. On God.

This is me feeling fulfilled knowing I can criticize this governmet for the next four years with good conscience.

PDP will win in Akwa Ibom State as usual, but it's trash. But I know they're people like me, God bless you.
Vote buying is a tradition in Akwa Ibom. PDP are the masters of vote buying, that's why the Party is like religion in the state.
Here in Ikot Abasi, I wasn't surprise that they bought votes. What surprised me was that they pay in cash - mint 1000 naira New Notes.
Once they flaunt the money before you, the smell alone will attract you to collect it. When you touch it, you'll know that it comes direct from CBN. Yet people are suffering and crying everyday looking for money to withdraw.
They paid in cash because during presidential election, most of us voted Peter Obi and still collect the 2500 PDP transfered to their members. This time around, they even bribed INEC officials to allow them watch what you vote. I didn't have any other candidate in mind, so I collected their money and vote the HAPPY HOUR governor, even though I don't like the way he was imposed on us by Udom.
This country will never get it right politically because the followers are the major problem, not the leaders. If I manage to leave this God forsaken country, I will NEVER come back.

Obi was poised to get a million votes in Rivers State if not for the WIKEdness of WIKE.
I was in Port harcourt the day Obidients do 1million man march for Peter Obi. I tell you for sure that over a million people marched in PH alone for Obi. Also, from the early results that were coming from polling units in different parts of Rivers state, Obi was on course to get a million votes. My friend who is a strong APC supporter in Rivers state even confirmed to me that Obi was winning almost every polling unit in Rivers until WIKE and his wicked team went on rampage.

Education / Re: Do You Ever Regret Getting A Degree? by gentlegenius(m): 5:00am On Mar 12, 2023
haybhi1:
Show me the person in top 10 richest who didn't pass through education - some attended the best schools in their country just to get education and drop out when they did while others graduated - one thing is clear however, they attained education!

Don't fall for the popular ongoing "education na scam" narrative. It is famous for two reasons:
1. The educated ones don't want you educated. They prefer to enjoy whatever prestige it brings alone, alongside their kins. They're glad you continue to look up to them in some ways.
I stopped reading your long post at this point... because...
It is obvious that you don't research or read about some of the most successful people in the world today.
Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Henry Ford, Oprah Winfrey, Richard Brandson and others who dropped out of or never attend University at all, yet became rich and successful? Have you thought about WHY people like Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates dropped out of school to pursue their business and never went back to complete their education after they became rich?

Personally, I am a graduate, and I regret wasting my time and money in school when I see my peers who never went to school succeeding in their ventures and making more money than I do.
After lots of research, I discovered the sad reality about modern education:
Apart from a few professional courses like Law, Medicine etc, tertiary education is completely useless because...
The world had changed. We are no longer in the Industrial Age. This is Information Age. 95℅ of the courses we still study today in tertiary schools were designed for the Industrial Age(1920s - 2000). The knowledge acquired through these courses had since expired. People only acquire these expired knowledge for boastfulness, not usefulness. Most of the brilliant students I knew that graduated with 1st class are teaching in private schools today, and most of these private school owners are not even graduates. Education is good, don't get me wrong, but the education that is beneficial today is no longer what you learn from your school curriculum.
Just check around your environment and you'll discover that most of the people who are making good money and are rich, comfortable and successful are business owners who never went to school. Check the top richest people in the world and you'll find people who are investors, business owners, or Information technology gurus who either never attended University, or didn't achieve their feat through the knowledge they acquired in school.
University education was only useful in the past. I believe that the usefulness of a college degree and the knowledge acquired along stops in 2000 when the world changed. In the 90s, I still remember that most of the rich and successful people in my community were those who get good jobs through the degrees they get from Universities. I was in secondary school then, and my father used to point at those people as examples to motivate me to study hard, pass my exams, go to University, get a degree and succeed like them. That is no longer the case today. WHAT HAPPENED? The world changed! Hence, people must change to adapt to the new order or be left behind. Millions of graduates are idle today, and even the ones that manage to get jobs are actually underemployed. It's not only a Nigerian problem, its global.
Pls research about this things and you'll discover even more than what I told you here.
Watch the video below to see what the richest and most successful people are saying about a college degree... they are not saying this to discourage you from reaching their level. They actually know something you don't know: THE WORLD HAS CHANGED.

I will also add that the citizens of these countries are indebted as well in that order.

Let's start with the USA - most students become debtors just to go to school. They repay student loans all their life.

Let's go to the 101st position- Nigeria has cheaper university fees than Ghana and Kenya.

Truly speaking, students loan is the main reason why the US owes that much. (Only those who get jobs after school pay back their loans, those who cant get jobs after about 4 years, the govt write off their debt.)... And Tinubu is planning to implement same here.
Hmmm... By the time Tinubu leaves office in 8 years, Nigeria will be among the top 20 indebted countries.
Someone should advise the old kleptomaniac that student loan isn't the solution to the challenges of our teeming youths.

The riots/protesting coming will make Endsars look like a child's play.
There is no need for riot or protest. Even if the election is cancelled and conducted again, the result will still go the same pattern as you are seeing here.
It wasn't a contest between Atiku, Tinubu and Obi. It was and will always be a contest between the Educated, informed/sane Nigerians and the Illiterates, uninformed/insane Nigerians. Unfortunately, the illiterates/insane people far outnumbered the educated/sane ones. NB: Insane people also includes those who are educated and well informed, yet too sentimental in making their choices.
That is why you see the right candidate winning with wide margin in areas dominated by educated and informed people, while the wrong candidates win massively in illiterates dominated areas.
We are stuck in a rough jungle where the illiterate/insane lowlifes determine who rule over the sane ones.
Elections will never bring solution to this problem, but maybe Separation. The unity and the claim we are one country is a HUGE SCAM. Sanity and insanity cannot coexist, just like light and darkness cannot coexist.
The Illiterates dominated north should be separated from the educated and informed south if we must regain freedom.

Religion / Re: What Does The Bible Teach About Speaking In Tongues? by gentlegenius(m): 1:05pm On Feb 26, 2023
contra:
Paul also provides guidance on the use of tongues in public worship, emphasizing the importance of interpretation so that others may understand and be edified (1 Corinthians 14:5-19).

Jesus himself spoke about the gift of tongues in Mark 16:17-18, saying, "These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover."
Jesus mentioned 5 signs that will accompany a believer as stated here. But today's believers only focus on one (speaking in tongues) as a way to show others that they have the holy spirit. What about the other 4? Pls take a closer look at those 5 signs again and you will find the answer: Only one of those signs is possible to FAKE - Speaking in tongues. The other 4 are impossible to fake. That is why the charlatans that calls themselves pastors are using FAKE tongues to deceive you and make you believe they have the holy spirit.
Like you quoted above, that when someone spoke a strange tongue in church during worship, there must be someone to interprete it, otherwise, it is useless.
Have you ever seen in any church, a situation where someone spoke in tongues and what he said is interpreted as the bible directed? This is a proof that all these strange utterances we hear in churches today are all FAKE.
The bible said that tongues shall cease, but even if it still exist, it is not what we hear today in churches.
