It is not strange as a man along the line of meeting needs in the family, we take loan to sort out som emergency. I hope the loan you took was for a wise course or project.

You said you earn 300k. it is not dt bad. some earn lower Dan dt and still try to stay debt free.

I guess, you are spending money the way you were when you were a bachelor now that you are marid.
the way a man spends when he was single shud be different Frm the way he spends when he is marid.

I know times are hard but still you have to be flexible to the changes we all are passing tru.

It is not a must you eat chicken all the tym now dat you are marid . If it is fish, you can afford , go for fish. I had to take a brk frm.meat and be doing fish because meat don dey pass my power.

If you were use to generator 24/7 when you were single . It is not a must you keep maintaining generator usage 24/7 now that you are marid.

Gotv and dstv is not a must. If it is affecting your pocket, pack it one side . you can be getting news updates online Frm your fone.

it is not a must to wnt to be impressing in-law by sending money all the tym to them. Tone it down. Na when you are doing them well , they wil sing your praises. The day you no send, dem go call you stingy. you can't please them

huz rent is now getting expensive. change apartment to the one you can comfortably afford. if it is 2bedroom or room nd parlor you can afford, go for it. No go do 4bedroom when go dey hard you to pay the rent. Moreover, how many hrs you dey spend for the huz in a mnt.

Reduce the times and amount you spend on happy hour. All those regular outing should reduce. you see the little 5k ..10k ...20k you see as small money and blow. It can cook pot of soup or pay light bill.

you are likely doling out huge amount of money to relatives anytime they ask you. while it is good to give . Do it with sense. If you are doing that, reduce it. you can't solve relative or family problems with your salary. do some and leave some for other of your siblings to do.

don't spend ur money like those bizness guys. don't do regular sitting with frnds dt can make your salary in one or two days and be drinking beer with them except you both agreed to meet at the bar for such meeting or such moment wil bring gist dt wil help your finance.

you said you don't have savings..that is not a good thing. it is very possible to have savings even with that your 300k salary.
you are the one that doesn't have a scale of preference on how you spend.

I am an employed POS attendant. I went to work this morning around 6:55am only to see people conversing with my boss unusually. Then I got to know my boss was robbed from the shop when I balanced my account and left around 8pm yesterday. I actually heard a gun shot yesterday night but wasn't even sure if it was gunshot or something because I live 4 streets away from the shop. He said he tried to drag with them when one of them reached for the drawer to take the cash. That was when the other one went outside and fired in the air. They were 3 in number. The shop is a container used for only POS transactions, no other business is attached to it. This is the second time my boss is robbed in this same shop. Now, my boss has locked the shop and told me to go. I was actually saving for Christmas. Now, I will have to eat my meagre savings. Jobs are not easy to find in this my part of Nigeria. It shall be well.

That biz is not what one that smbdy should keep huge money inside the shop overnite. such biz shops are targets for bad boys dt move in the night.

But lately I noticed something about his neighbour who happens to be a private school teacher, though I have been noticing it on a steady and I didn't know others were observing it too till something happened on Sunday and everyone voiced out.

On getting to my friends house last week Sunday, I observed that his neighbours wife and 2 children were outside, I greeted them and entered. After like 2 hours we wanted to go and watch match I realized the 4 of them are now outside with the husband, normally as per say we discuss football together so I asked if he misplaced the keys and he told me the landlord staying in d same compound locked the door cos they were oweing 5 months house rent.

I felt bad for them so me and my guys with him went to beg the landlord and the man made it clear that he has tried enough that because we came to beg he will give them the grace of 3 months to sort the bills or else he will lock it again and the only time he will open it is when they agree they are packing that very minute.

The landlord reluctantly gave us the key as witness, so we called the man in and discussed how he will make the payment, the man made it clear he's stranded, he said he collects 40k as salary and 15k for extra lesson every month and his wife collects 20k as salary but they use his wife's salary to sort the children school fees.

Many atimes I observe anytime we want to buy something from the landlady shop in front of the house, this guy comes to buy something but will always tell the woman I will sort u but since it doesn't concern me I lock up but the one of last week Sunday touched me.

I am not here to seek for funds for anyone but to implore us reading this to stretch an helping hands to private school teachers around us, those people are going through hell and they can't beg.

Honestly I can't lie , life of a man between the ages of 25 to 36 is quite a lot of heavy task. Recently I've been working so hard that I've even forgotten what it's like to sit back and watch a movie or do something worthwhile fun , I barely even have time for myself , it's wake up go to work , come back from work prepare for work the next day and it goes on like that , same repetitive routine every single day.


I wouldn't lie sometimes I just ask myself what is the essence of all these hard work ? Whenever I think of getting older and certain things aren't even in place yet I get really frustrated, cause the clock isn't slowing down and I know death is inevitable it's definitely gonna come knocking some day , living a life just to pay your bills and survive isn't a fulfilling lifestyle tbh , I've read about people leaving their high paying jobs to relocate and live peacefully on a farm with their romantic partners, i used to think they were crazy but now i understand why.

Society has even made it worse for men within these age brackets and now the pressure we mount on ourselves is scary , cause when we get to a certain age and we haven't achieved certain things we tend to go really hard on ourselves.
