Ps: Eze can never bench odegaard. At least not with the kind performance I have been seeing lately.

Bro... I have criticized him severally concerning his goalscoring on this thread but I can't deny he has been given his all. One crazy thing is we tend to concede anytime he is subbed off. At the same time I understand how goals will help his confidence. Hopefully, he start banging the goals cos that Norwegian viking is practically dragging those 115ers to the title.
that's why i said every forward offers something different. If i can be patient with kai, why would I rush to write off Gyokeres, you get?. He will come around with the goals once he is really settled and understand how other players play. There was an up loop pass Odegaard gave him that he didn't make the run on time thereby losing the ball. If he understands that kind of moment better, he will be killing it cus the ball was placed to his right side, it was just to meet it quicker and fire a shot.

Sorry, I disagree. Eze can pass too. Just look at his assists against City and Bayern. I agree they're different players. I can remember arguing with Jodera here that compared to City, Odegaard is like Benardo and that we need a 'KDB' too. Even the pass mentioned here, Odegaard is fumbling. Eze can give some of what Odegaard gives and more. The only edge Odegaard has over him is pressing.
you see that long passes Eze gave to Martinelli twice against the teams you mentioned, both were from our half when just recovered position and Martinelli made a run. Tell me you haven't seen odegaard make those kind of passes before??. Odegaard controls the midfield and tempo more than Eze does. Even leading to jesus goal against villa, did you see how he progressed the ball?. Odegaard is a more better passer than Eze from what I have seen in Arsenal setting.

Madueke still dey progress with the ball at times, just that he may either run into a maze of opposition players or show bad finished products after his run ; but he's better than Odegaard who will recycle ball back to defenders
Eze cannot give to the team what odegaard gives to us. Eze is more of a goal scorer and always has eye on the goal, but odegaard is more of a controller. Some if not most of the passes he recircles are to hold possession and avoid losing the ball in dangerous situations. Against Bournemouth, we tried to play through the left, but they kept blocking the spaces. We can't take away his brilliance when it matters. That pass to Saka and the assist for Rice are sone of his brilliance that Eze might not be able to see. For Rice, he had the option of shooting to seeing Rice shout out to him, he knew Rice was in better position and that's where his vision is applauded by me. After having set the ball for a shot, most players would definitely take it without thinking twice. And that overhead loops he has been giving is actually line breaking too. 3 or 4 times he has given such passes opened the box but the players at the end of it didn't utilise it well. He's a kind of player that even if he is having a bad game can still create a magical moment with his passes. I don't think there is anyone who can bench him in our squad.

Brock Lesnar for a reason... 5 players on only you. Wtf 🤣
when we signed Gyokeres, Tata said he spoke to him about how he will cope when he doesn't score in 6 or 7 matches. That ability to still give your all and put the team first really matters. His goals will come, even if it is not this season as we expect. Every of our forwards has something different they offer to the team and i can't wait to see him florish with goals cus he really love and wanted to be part of this team. But which one be Brock lesner again. grin

The rate at which we are giving out the ball is really bad. And we're attracting pressure to ourselves. Martinelli should have done better with that chance. Make Teta talk to them abeg.

Recently Saka haven't been his best self, especially in front of goal and making final decisions. Maybe Arteta should try playing Madueke today ahead of him to allow hom rest and maybe come in later. We need him to be sharp during this new year run.

This is moral booster for the team, we are getting our injured players back too
like..., I don't know between this year and last year which one is worse when it comes to injuries, but shout out to the players for always giving their best no matter the condition and position they play. They are all playing with a purpose this season. To me Trossard and Rice are the ones that play with more passion, like they hate every opponent we play and wants to beat them. Lastly, shout out to Arteta for learning from last year's mistakes and managing injuries better, Bertha for a nice business. Let's see how it ends by May.

That their midfield over choke, dem wan kill man city players. I hope they can hang on for the remaining 10 minutes thereabouts. I respect the way they're holding their own despite missing key players to AFCON and injuries. I hope they qualify for European competition this season
i knew man city will definitely have a hard game in the stadium of light. Missing players or not, that place is just like our home this season. A fortress.

The ball was still in transition here bro 2 more seconds he was been swamped up, so it's his fault the system by our coach isn't working for him?
the attack started from that side of the pitch, and those five villa players were already positioned around that area, odegaard had to drag the ball to create space and VG sure made a good run. That was a good run he made, we are not arguing that. But it wasn't five players that was on him at the time of passing the ball. Talking about system, the same system that have worked for other forwards so far. Or is it the coach's fault that he hasn't adapted to our winning system even after many matches undecided

No vex i no fit read all i had to screenshot this the last man can't enter the picture
But this is the link
konsa even had his back to VG and was trying to track zubi, if odegaard had pass the ball to VG, it would have been hard for him to turn on time. But that's not what we are talking about. See a more clearer view and angle below and how many players were actually tracking VG.

Lol
Did you watch the game at all, that's why having conversation with you is stressful.
When odegaard was moving the ball, there are 2 people he can pass to and saka is not an option, how saka came into this I don't know
Zubi was free while gyokeres was surrounded by 5 players
Shebi Kai can create space how many goals did he score, if he was ruthless why did we get a proper CF then
Kai that will have 20 chances and score 5

Talking of hypocrisy, kettle calling pot black
bro we watched the match, VG wasn't surrounded by any 5 players, and yes Saka wasn't the best option to get the ball to. Odegaard had the choice of taking a shot or passing to Victor who although two players were in the box with him had a room for r2 if he was given the ball, but then odegaard saw zubi making the run and passed the ball to the space. Don't change narrative bro. Havertz had been in that position many times too. Spy asked you "when we agreed that a striker should be creating spaces instead of scoring", the same quetion you have always asked regarding kai. If kai was that bad than what we are currently experiencing with victor because he hasn't adapted yet, why then does he get more chance and more touches in opposition box than what Victor is offering?. If Havertz can't create chances why then is the goal ratio of wingers when playing with him are higher than that of Victor?, how is it that Havertz gets into better positions and then misses some while Victor hardly gets into such spaces. It is not an argument of who is better cus we know Victor has proven himself in Europe before and can still do it again. It is about realising what is currently working adding the right criticism and not creating a different narrative with exaggeration for our favourites.

So Declan Rice has been ruled out of tonight's match against Aston Villa. According to Arteta, he felt some discomfort during training. Any which way we go still run am. Our forwards goal drought ends tonight

Seriously, what kind of training is Arteta and his coaching crew putting these players through? E do reach to ask o
are you sure it was in training?, the report i have been seeing said it was during the Brighton game that he got a knock on the knee. And it is just a precaution not any kind of long term absence.

You noticed it too? I thought I'm the only one. He has not lashed out yet because he may not want to disrupt the dressing room. This might be the time to bring back our false 9 football biko. Can't believe this is the same Arsenal that once scored freely.
you see that move Martinelli made when saka had the ball before crossing in, that's something we would like to see Gyokeres do, but he would rather run to the far corner than attack that space. But there's still room for improvement in his game shaa.
S/o to Rice, he made it look like RB is natural for him. Early in the game he was finding it difficult to position when trying to overlap, but he later got it right.
Raya is world class aje
Saka, I don't know man, he does his work well but seems like he overthinks simple stuff these days.
Jesus still got his too many touches shit going on.
The amount of chances odegaard created alone should have sealed the game in the first half, but....
Saliba na beast
I don't think Gyokeres can bench kai with the kind of display he puts on.
Waiting for pundits to start talking about own goal tables and shit.

Every match day these guys just de provoke Rice. Why would our attackers start focusing on wasting time instead of trying to kill the game?. Rice had to run a full length to create a chance while our attackers were busy trying to waste time. Glad to see Gabriel back, that defensive calmness gradually returned. At this point, I won't be surprised to see Havertz back against Villa.
Ps: odegaard was 👌 👏 👍

That's the issue. They set him up and then blame us for correcting their wrong assertions tagging us haters. But in reality we love Gyokeres more than them because we don't have any of overblown expectations for him.

The person he is calling best striker in Europe...

Make I stop here
This is it. Personally, I don't have any high expectations cus I know he can't repeat what he did in Portugal in England especially in this first season. I'm sure dave is waiting patiently to scream "i told you", because of how he has always voiced out regarding the striker issue, but his motm is delaying his joy. Now we have a traditional striker who isn't scoring like he expected, what else would you have him do if not defend his choice of striker and hope he can finally get the chance to scream to our faces "i told you!!"

One of the bottom ranked CFs in Arsenal History is better than the most lethal 9 of last season in Europe? And you're saying this while he's active with us??

😭 😭
you keep defending Gyokeres but each time that is being said, you tend to shift. Which stats, based on what and what did you come to convince yourself that Kai is one of the bottom ranked CF in our history. Whatever Gyokeres did last season was done last season with a different team not us. Na u dey set am up for drags shaa, but fortunately for some of us, we understand the phase he's currently at. He even made it clear in his last interview that he is yet to fully settle and understand the game and other players around him. As it stands now, Kai has 32 g/a in 61 epl games, so would you mind telling me how that represents being ranked bottom. wink
