Most migrants initially focus on work with little or no social life. It doesn't help that the way we socialise back home is very different to how it is here. To many who have moved under 2yrs- life is work, home, grocery store and church on repeat. Some have been here for years and do not drive even though they live in semi-urban areas.

Things are changing as numbers increase and the effect is felt. Ultimately, we tend to get married within ourselves as does any other culture. We no dey also reason 'partnership' (i.e longterm unmarried cohabitation) as many oyibos do.

This is a fact I hope many of our men who run their mouths on social about being #TeamForeignWomen realise. Humans are tribal and would always prefer to marry their kinds. I think a major part of the ignorance stems from those in Nigeria who believe it is that easy for someone who spent at least 25 years in a particular society to quickly move on to marry someone from a different race and cultural upbringing. Even for the same race, but different cultural upbringing, it is hard let alone a different race.

As you stated, since the numbers have ballooned over the years, marrying one's kind is easier compared to those who live in countries with few black people.

These people just want to take advantage of these parks' tax free status. For example, as huge as Dangote refinery is, it doesn't pay a kobo in corporate income tax to the Federal Government. That robs the government (and the people of this country) tens of billions of naira in tax earnings. You can't blame Dangote refinery for taking advantage. Previous governments set up the tax free zones. Thankfully, the new Tax Bills will correct some of the anomalies of these tax free zones going forward. That said, Lagos State is a major beneficiary of Dangote Refinery, through PAYE tax. I believe the Federal Government also receive VAT (not sure).

How do you reconcile both bolded statements? Industrial parks situated in free trade zones were part of what powered Singapore, China, Malaysia and now Vietnam's industrialisation. Why should the wheel be reinvented?

However, with the present alpha male gospel that's preached on social media, I want to believe a growing number of young Nigerian men are now aware of the inner strengths they have especially as their income status increases. It will take time tho and maybe na why some if not most of these men begin to "explore" immediately they get married because the attraction will now be more than they expected. It's something (immense and intense attraction from women) they've never experienced.

Just to add to this based on the Sophia and Burna Boy's saga. I think one of the reasons we Nigerian men are so lustful about sex is because we have been deterred about it from a very young age. Religion has made us view sex as evil and dangerous at least for much older men (30+) rather than Gen-Zs who grew up in a much sexually liberal world. The sexual attitudes in the Caribbean, from studies I have read and maybe from Southern Africa (yet to read about this), are way much liberal than ours. Yes, but it depends on what you want to get out of private schools. Also, private schools na according to your pocket. Personally, with my knowledge and thoughts about pre-higher education, I'm a strong advocate of math based education. For that reason, I align more or prefer schools owned or managed by the Catholic Church. A good alternative will be Ambassadors College owned by Seun Osewa's family. The school is built on a strong math pedagogy. Basically any school that wholeheartedly promotes strong math education.

Not so much of schools that promote their British curriculum or UK pedagogy educational offerings. The Brits aren't so good at math, even within Europe. That goes to the Swiss, Germans and French.

I was in Abu Dhabi last year August, and man, that place is so freaking hot. Even northern Nigeria is not as hot as the UAE. The Africans I met there was telling me that the few days I will be around is not even the hottest. Its so hot that all you have to do is just stand. Dont walk, just stand, and you will be dripping liquid as if you just came out of a swimming pool. But the people there looks so clean, because all their houses have AC, and the infrastructure and general development is good enough to support living in such hot climate.

I wanted to use Singapore as an example, but since I haven't been there yet, I didn't. But Singapore is equally hot as Nigeria, but the infrastructure is world class with tarred roads resulting in minimal or a dust-free environment and air-conditioning systems around. Lee Kuan Yew praised the invention for Singapore's productivity. Additionally, Singaporean Chinese have a more posh/ajebo face compared to those from Mainland China due to the long period of economic prosperity. So, it is largely a function of wealth and what it offers rather than weather. Our African American folks look better than Black Africans. The case study will be on those in the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, parts of Brazil (The State of Bahia) and the Cayman Islands to see if there is a significant difference due to the weather vis-a-vis how prosperous they are.

But on a side note, the UAE is fine o. Their police cars are like sportcars, and even though its filled with expats and people from all over the world, its the only cosmopolitan place I have been where I didnt see interracial couples. Arab women no dey near foreigners lol;.

About inter-racial couples, there are two major reasons:
- Islam and Arabian culture. There are more foreigners than Emiratis and most of whom aren't Arabian Muslims.

I think Cococa.ndy mentioned it and I found it right. Leave the children with the man. One of the reasons men can easily walk away from a marriage is because they don't have to go with the children as well. So, as a woman, leave the child or children with him, and as with most Nigerian men or even most men regardless of ethnicity or race, they cannot adequately take care of children. You know how single mothers are seen in Nigeria, so leave the children with him.

It's one of the reasons I'm surprised when people criticise sit-at-home moms. Taking care of children is a tiresome and largely thankless job. Na the unfortunate global economy wey necessitate two working couples made SAHMs look awkward.

Yet another reason you as a woman should have fewer children. Also, the reason I always emphasise that if you don't want her to be the mother of your children, don't get her pregnant. Use condom!
