Thank you for explaining it thoroughly and making it easy to understand.

Just as with the pager explosion affecting Hamas leaders, I am glad many outside of the West are beginning to see reasons why China has its own Internet. I don't know how well to phrase it, but the West accuses China of things that they (the West) are likely to do. It seems they are afraid that an external force will commit way worse than them. Also, note that this comes at a time when Canada has labelled India as the sponsor behind killings in Canada. China experienced a similar episode with Huawei as its CFO abi COO, the daughter of the founder, got arrested.

Unlike China, India has been too in love with the West. I recall those trips by Modi (the friendliest Indian PM with the West) to Australia and the UK hobnobbing with the leaders and elite. However, since India has decided to be neutral with Russia and China, the West has not been happy. Even when the EU goes through the backdoor to buy refined Russian diesel from India.

How the West intends to fight Russia, China and now India (Indonesia and Vietnam would be up next in a decade's time) at the same time remains to be seen. But I believe or want to believe that Indian elites' eyes have been open to the relations with the West, "be subservient or we deal with you". If they are smart, they have to begin the process of disentanglement because when it becomes worse, especially as the Indian economy grows (soon to surpass Japan), the moves would affect Indians more than the Chinese in terms of corporate jobs in the West, academia and citizenships. In a way, I think this would benefit our people. I don't see us being a challenger to the West in any way. We are so hooked on anything Western. The last one is so important as there are many Indians with Western passports, which they are gleefully proud to hold just as our people. This reared its head when the US barred American passport holders regardless of nationality or ethnicity from working with Chinese semiconductor companies. This affected ethnic Chinese with US passports. A similar move would significantly affect India more than China. On the other hand, I wonder if the Gulf States will come to India's rescue and how they (Gulf States) would manage relations with the West at the same time. An instance is a senior UAE official assuring the US of not going deep in artificial intelligence development with China and how NVIDIA chips are yet to be delivered to UAE centres for them (the UAE) to work with them simply because the Americans are afraid they will slip into China's hands.

In all, day don dey break for everyone. The Chinese would be like "What did we tell you?" or "I told you na". grin grin

Lol, you think so highly of the country. A business like JBS doesn't. Do you see their daily volume and it is premium price. Most Nigerians can't even afford their meat. Let's see what they will do here though. No electricity to power cold storage distribution self.
The news is actually true. JBS intends to invest that amount across Africa over the next five years with two chicken and one pork factories in Nigeria. The news is on Bloomberg.

It is a good deal. One of the best times to get into maize farming.

I don't want kids, am not spending my hard earned money and time raising children in this cursed system that is passing away.

At time a point in my life I was worried but now I am supper free and peaceful. Honestly Am glad i didn't because all those around me who have kids are the ones telling me they wish they were bold like me. Until I met someone who isn't into children am not getting married. Nothing like when a woman is building her wealth with freedom and peace of mind.
This belief or feeling seems to be preponderant with women, rather than men. I don't think many young men in today's world are yet to realise this. No wonder they weaponise sex in marriage. grin

Interesting to note.
FamilyRe: Not Getting Enough Sex From My Wife by Gerrard59(m):
eniolorunfe:
I’m not the one you asked the questions, but let me attempt to give some reasons to this which I think may give some context to this issue.

Most African men are not romantic, they do not know how to connect with their wives emotionally and that’s an issue in most marriages. For women, having s*x is connected to their emotions. It’s not just a need. So, the husbands need to stir up their wives emotions positively, to be getting it regularly but most wouldn’t do this. What some men invest on their side chicks, they haven’t invested a fraction in their wives. Thats why there is this common saying out there “ a happy wife equals a happy life”. If a woman is not genuinely happy in the home, she most likely will be frustrating the man in the bedroom because that is how she feels she can be heard and her needs met.
It depends on the context of being "romantic" here. Are you assessing African men from the Eurocentric view of romance? For instance, Paris is said to be the City of Love/Romance, but I wager many African or Asian men don't view it as such. I rather have a city in the Caribbean or Brazil as such. Romance is tied to culture. Africans need to choose which culture they prefer - theirs or the Eurocentric view.

Two, things are hard in Nigeria. It takes a lot for a man to provide and be there for his household. Expecting the same man to be the numero-uno in romance is quite unrealistic.

Third, some of these women don't like sex. They see it as a chore. Funny enough, they had more than enough sexual intercourse experiences from 17/18 - 25. While Onega.i is right that older women are expressive in sex, it is absurd to weaponize it against one's husband YET expect him not to look outside.

It is bad when men are bullied from both sides - see sex as a reward when you beg for it, but don't complain that your wife withholds it from you. So suck it up. At the same time, don't look outside, but continue to provide for the family.

Mind you: https://x.com/OfficiaEdoOsasB/status/1860040858596442505

These are the women who weaponise sex against their husbands. grin grin

Even the educated suffer the same Igbo phobia. Ruben has always been like this on Igbo issues for eons. People who don't know much about Abati, should go back to read all he wrote about the Igbos during the regime of Olusegun Obasanjo. At a point , he was boasting of how Obasanjo will cut off the head of Igbos if Uwazuruike didn't stop his MASSOB agitations. The whole thing raised a storm then. . These are all closet tribalists.

Land is costly in Igbo land because land is scarce. It is what it is. I am not sure of any Yoruba man willing to drop over 200 million to buy a plot of land at Nnewi. There are no real Yoruba presence in the east. You can not stay in Lagos or Okitipupa and be upset that the cost of land is high in Igbo land. Most of your guys in the east, live in groups like the northerners because of the high cost of accomodations. That you're out priced does not mean you are banned from buying.

Actually he's, but the reforms are too late. Most importantly, he and his gang kicked against them in 2012. So he's part of the reasons the reforms were never made. It's only fair enough his administration gets to implement them now.

Amaechi and Fashola were part of the people against the build up of the Excess Crude Account. The APC, Mr Edun's boss' party, campaigned against the removal of fuel subsidies in 2012. So clearly he is being disingenuous.

I am glad this topic came up because you have always lampooned men for "cheating", but have never explained why a woman would use sex as a weapon against her husband. If she even agreed to ora.l sex, I can say she don try. But why is everything the fault of the man even when sex - tied to his hormones and prevention of prostate cancer - is now weaponised? How come the man is ALWAYS at fault in your opinion?

If OP has a pot belly or does not perform fore.play, that is his fault, but supposedly he is fit, trim and performs fore.play, how is it his fault? I am genuinely curious, why the Harvard and Oxford writeup for a man whose wife has weaponised sex to the point he has to beg for it?

I wish you would read what she wrote, even if you cannot read the book she suggested. She is so on point. Some women are already stressed up, some are anxious (battling with how to feed their family in this economy) while some are depressed. Some also have undergone FGM through no fault of theirs when they young which makes sex painful to them. Are you sure that your wife is not in any of these categories?
I'm genuinely curious, why do you think married men especially in Nigeria's present situation aren't mentally and physically stressed up as well? Who provides the bulk of finances across Nigerian families (north, east, west and south)?
FamilyRe: Not Getting Enough Sex From My Wife by Gerrard59(m):

How do married men cope with this situation? My wife wants sex like max of once a week. If she can even reduce it to twice a month she will do it. Even the once a week is usually a struggle. At night, she will say she is tired, in the morning, she will say I am disturbing her sleep. .

I am just wondering why it has to be this tough and stressful to have access to my wife?
Nothing surprising. There is a growing number of married men who suffer the same. I bet she's not interested in ora.l sex because it's dIrTY 🙄 Has she asked you the usual question: "Is sex food"? 🙄

Mind you, your obligations as a man to provide financial, mental and physical security still hold o. We've not even mentioned prostrate cancer and how black men are the biggest sufferers. e na zero, and thats handicap one of many handicaps facing the Chinese

Building up to the above, America has a multi decade strategy of poaching global talent across the world to the USA to further their interests.
From the days of Operation Paperclip, that has been their style and they will continue to do it decades to come
No empire develops to that height totally endogenously. Look back to any empire from the time of Egypt....
Until the Chinese find a way to Starr poaching global talent, their name na sorry
Heck, China is even losing talent because contrary to what some of u may want to believe, many of the Chinese who left China to study ARE NOT GOING BACK TO CHINA

I work with them, so I know the general sentiment. Freedom is a snare the west is using to draw them in and hook them, and freedom is alluring.
This is a very interesting point and funny thing to say, don't even know how I'll respond to it lol
Well, when many are being discriminated against simply because they are Chinese and haunted about in their workplaces, they would learn. That said, I have stated here that many Chinese students are looking elsewhere - Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia to study rather than the West. Also, the West has made it clear that they don't want Chinese students, at least in STEM fields which the Chinese prefer. Washington has stated so such that the number of Chinese students in the US has declined to be below that of India. The Dutch have explicitly barred Chinese students from STEM fields, and so have the Swiss.

See here:

Gerrard59:
10. As I have preached relentlessly on Nairaland, the United States is the [b]ONLY place where black professionals thrive and excel. Unsurprisingly, African Americans are the richest set of black people globally, with black South Africans behind. The US absorbs the best and brightest talent globally. However, I wonder if there won’t be a backlash towards Nigerians should Nigeria begin to prosper. Currently, Chinese Academics and professionals are being harassed with many opting to relocate to Mainland China or cousins in Singapore/Malaysia/South Korea/Japan. This paper studied their worries and planned departures: “Caught in the Crossfire: Fears of Chinese-American Scientists”: https://www.pnas.org/doi/full/10.1073/pnas.2216248120
So I wager that those who aren't interested in returning to China are Ndi lovey-dovey folks just as we've Nigerians who learnt basic biology in secondary schools in Nigeria, but chant woke words that gEnDeR and sEx are different concepts while supporting actual men to be in women's bathrooms. One cannot win always, but if one is to lose, it is better to lose such characters. China would not miss them.

BTW, the entire bolded text in the embedded post reveals a lot because India is beginning to experience similar backslashes. Very soon we would be told that India is taking our jobs 🙄

you are better off going to learn French and apply for express entry. The school is a mushroom school aka diploma mill. They probably rented two floors in a high rise and its not a reputable school with employers. Now is not even the time to come via study visa if its not in reputable universities in less competitive provinces.
But bros, why e be say our people no dey conduct basic research before paying huge sums to these schools? I once toyed with an MBA just as my first boss did too, so I have more than a fair knowledge about schools' quality, employability and the like. Why one school with a funny-looking name when there are good schools (STEM certified) in the Texas region in the US?

A simple Google search brought out the top MBA programs in Canada: https://www.reddit.com/r/MBA/comments/12eww5r/mba_at_top_schools_in_canada_or_m7_t15_us/
https://e-gmat.com/blogs/top-business-schools-for-mba-in-canada/
https://www.topuniversities.com/mba-rankings/canada

I would be told that "oh, those schools are either too expensive or elitist", but it mustn't be the top five or even top ten especially if one's grades and previous work experiences no dey okay, but looking at immigration changes and the utmost need to get a job with visa sponsorship, it is imperative that our people choose relatively good schools with some clout behind their names to make up for the huge expenses (financial and mental) that they would incur.

And yes, your suggestion on learning French is way better than spending hooge funds on a degree program at a funny-looking name university.

The world is collectively shackled by the US pursuing a negative policy of hobbling everyone--both "friends" and foes alike--so they remain #1 in perpetuity.
The day the planet escapes that grip will be Day 1 of an age of technological advancements that'll dwarf all previous industrial revolutions combined.

Europe is prepared to make that leap.
Washington is still running the "over my dead body" script.

Can you imagine what we could get up to if Musk, Russia, China, Europe, Japan, and India got together to jointly develop an interplanetary habitat. You know, the ISS of the 21st century. But grander. It'll be a marvel.

Japan is stuck in purgatory.
Germany is being ushered into a cryogenic capsule.
These are their friends.
They want to roll back the clock on China.
Russia they expect to be the newest North Korea.
India will only get so far before they pump the brakes. I don't know how anyone can look at this devious behavior and applaud it as better than all available options for the species.
Never mind the African homeland.
I'm supposed to be reassured that the same guys who bullied Japan into the Plaza Accords and destroyed Germany's energy infrastructure will let Africa achieve its $100T (4.5b people strong) potential over the next century.

I do hope the Axis Powers work out a way to help keep the Europeans above water.
We are all victims. Some better fed and clothed than others.

THANK YOU very much! Imagine those countries who are allied nations yet see what they had to experience. As it is, Germany's industrialisation is on the brink. Manufacturing CEOs have lamented already. I don't want the Asian folks to help them. They should help themselves as this anti-China and soon-to-be anti-Indian rhetoric is based on racial superiority. I admire how China transfers the technology to neighbouring Asian and African countries. That is where the technical know-how is much needed, not by people who mocked the Chinese for copying "their technologies" yet suddenly want the copier to teach them. How can a thief know more about a product than the producer?
