folake4u:A significant proportion of men like Trump because he is manly enough. |
IbeOkehie:The premise is about adultery. Men who indulge in it are interested in ejaculation, not love. The aim is to cum and go, not cum and love. So testosterone all the way. |
Cyberknight:. What is the name of this church? Secondly, you are implying that southern Nigerians do not contribute or have never contributed to relief campaigns of any sort for their brethren in the north affected by the ongoing insurgency. Can you point to any figures or verifiable information to substantiate this? Unless you are specifically expecting Lagos/Abuja/PH/sundry urban dioceses or churches with wealthy parishioners to forcibly dip their hands into their parishioners' pockets and organise a wealth transfer from them to people in other parts of Nigeria, I do not see how a church or a denomination can be accused of doing nothing to support its [denominational] co-worshippers in this regard.Apart from the United States and maybe, just maybe South Korea, Nigeria has the highest concentration of wealthy pastors in the world. All of whom are located in Southern Nigeria. Aside from David Oyedepo who cried out in the killings of Christians across Northern Nigeria during Buhari's first term, NO PROMIMENT pastor in Southern Nigeria has done the same. NOT ONE! When David Hundeyin together with the late Obadiah Mailafia campaigned and lobbied for Nigeria to be listed amongst countries where more Christians have been murdered than elsewhere, the church in the south did not contribute. If it is hold hooooge crusades in the UK and Canada, the likes of CCI, Salavation Ministries, House on the Rock, HICC, RCCG, COZA etc., know how to organise such. In fact, at a point, Catholic Priests were kidnapped and killed like chickens almost every week, the Catholic Church in Nigeria never murmured. Even the Vatican was mute. Talking about RCCG, Enoch Adeboye described El-Rufai as a "kind and caring man". Iyin Aboyeji whose dad is the GO of Foursquare Gospel Church termed the brutal killings of ethnic minorities in Kaduna, all of whom were Christians as "little genocides". The orphans from these "little genocides" are being sponsored by faith-based institutions in the US by groups headed by WHITE people, not Nigerian-American or black groups o. O ye lovers of black people. When Nigeria was removed from the list at the behest of lovey-dovey Biden, only the church in the north raised concerns. Their groove and tithing counterparts in the south didn't care. There has been no outreach or scholarships offered to brilliant victims of these slaughtering by the church in the south even though some of the best private universities in Nigeria are church owned. In fact, it is AUN owned by a Muslim - Atiku - that sponsors most of these orphans. Also I do have recollections of the odd fundraising drive or other campaign fronted by one Christian leader/public figure or another over the years since the insurgency took hold. TB Joshua, CAN, Oritsejafor, etc. all come to mind, if I remember correctly. Thanks for mentioning TB Joshua even though he spent more time on mountains in South America and Israel than the mountains in Jos and Adamawa. As for Ayo Oritsejafor, he is a businessman who tries to corner the Northern market for his prosperity preachings. Good luck to him when Northern Christians have sold their remaining and unoccupied farmlands to raise money to pay jihadists who kidnapped and raped their children from hostels. |
justwise:Tell that to Europeans who support right-wing parties because left-wing parties have failed to curtail immigration issues from mostly Muslim countries. Again, lovey-dovey folks who fail to realise that humans are tribal beings, I will be here to gloat to high heavens when Donald wins. What I pray for is a resounding victory. Audible to the deaf, visible to the blind and vocal to the dum.b. I want a victory that will be devastatingly brutal! |
IbeOkehie:Thanks for bringing that up. You see, within the last decade or thereabouts, there has been an astronomical rise in so-called Internet culture wars whether on gender, religion, education, employment and marriage. Regarding gender, we have had a 4th wave of feminism which has turned many young men away resulting in a breakdown of basic friendly relationships between young men and young women. This has had electoral effects in South Korea where young men voted for the current leader because he promised to stem the tide of feminism. Politicians there blame the country's abysmal birth rate on feminism. The Democratic Party and its cohorts all over the world are the major supporters of these attacks on young men, in the US' case, especially White men. The thing is, you cannot continue to attack young white men endlessly yet expect them to reason with you. You don't force these things on people. Recently, there has been a curtailing of DEI initiatives because advocates pushed it so hard and openly in a way young white men believed their economic chances were ruined or limited. I follow Reddit/MBA sub and there is no day I don't see the commentators there lamenting no jobs and limited economic opportunities. Also, they narrate how "seemingly easy" it is for women and ethnic minorities to get a leg ahead. These men see these things. In a recent publication by the FT, one of the reasons outlined why Donald Trump is loved is because of masculinity. In fact, it was the number one reason. Many men have had their masculinity attacked by social justice warriors within the past few years. It is why any man who comes up to proffer hopes of masculinity gets a throng of supporters. From Andrew Tate to Wizarab10 on Twitter to Donald. There cannot continue to be "men are bad" rhetoric yet you expect the same men to see such people in a good light. You cannot continue to attack young white men, yet expect their votes. If the person like, make him shout or whine sExIsT from today to yesterday, these men will remember how they were vilified simply because they are men. This is why I applaud Trump's choice of JD Vance as a VP candidate - young, refined, from the working class, elite education with an Indian wife. Many men will be drawn to his personality, covertly or overtly. On that note: should the Democratic Party nominate Harris as its candidate, I write that Trump will win. What I wish/hope/pray for is for the result to be thorough, convincing, and comprehensive. I want the GOP to defeat Harris in a such way they will shed tears for life. I want to see a catastrophic defeat of the Democratic Party. Provided the GOP does not do the following: A) Outrightly attack her gender B) Outrightly attack her racial background. The United States needs a strong leader, and most importantly based on human reasoning, should the US get its first female president, it has to be a White woman. White men, whether young or old, would not want to have a biracial woman as America's first female president. They want someone who looks like their mother. Even black men would rather have a white woman as America's first female president before a black woman, ditto for Latino men. As you stated, even in Georgia, one of America's states with a high black population, the GOP won because black men voted for its candidate rather than for a black woman. Critics will cry miss ogini, but this is real life, not the usual lovey-dovey simulation they are used to. Did you also know that Republicans are now more popular in racially diverse states and localities while Democrats now perform best among affluent Whites? They should maintain the momentum. It is refreshing to see. "Companies drop DEI targets from bonus plans on pressure from conservatives" - FT. "A new global gender divide is emerging" - FT. I usually get banned by the anti-spam bot whenever I insert FT links. Screenshot of the gender divide.

Tightpussy2024:On the contrary, I have asked myself "Why do men love to have sex so much?" It led me to the answer which is basic biology. The presence of testosterone - the male hormone, not a mo.ron - is behind the urge for men to continually seek avenues to have sex, especially when they are younger. On the social side, many young men don't have as much sex because women are the gatekeepers. Since time immemorial, women have been hypergamous - gravitating towards brawny men - those days' means to earn good income - or brainy - these days' conditions to earn good money. In return, the men who qualify for these women's requirements get to marry them and have a continuous and stable source of sexual comfort. Young men have noticed that while their female contemporaries offered sex to the highest bidders at the same time denigrated their male agemates. I am sure many men at some time while growing up had their female agemates telling them "I don't date my agemates", "you are not my class" etc. I recall when I was in my final year first-semester discussing marriage with my female classmates, one told me to my face that "My wife dey SS1, not even SS3". Also, my sister admonished me for asking about her friends just to know about them. The reason? I don't have money, so why am I interested in women? When young men hear and see this, it only means one thing: women have tied sexual access to material comfort. In return, we should not be tied to one woman when that material comfort is attained. And to me, this is fair. The popular adage goes: "A society that tells young men that they don't deserve women because they don't have money cannot tell those men to stick to one woman when they have the money". Moreover, even in marriage, which is unfortunate, women use sex as a bargaining power for a wide range of reasons. When a woman deliberately deprives a man of sexual conjugal rights, that woman is merely telling the man to sort himself elsewhere. As mentioned earlier, testosterone is a hormone, not a mo.ron. My parents own hotels which I managed for a few years. I have met men who told me that their wives refused them sex, which is why they patronise hotels. I have had pastors, politicians, businessmen, doctors, engineers, lawyers etc., who are regular clients. Men love sex, more so Nigerian men. Here: https://www.nairaland.com/7496716/what-exactly-does-one-enjoy The major reason why Nigerian men see the country as a place to enjoy life as a rich man is because of cheap sex. That thread could be taken as a mini-study. See married Nigerian men narrating their experiences of their wives deliberately refusing them sexual conjugal rights: https://www.nairaland.com/7888125/wife-constantly-denies-me-sex See how much Nigerian men spend on sex and sex workers; https://www.nairaland.com/7304604/what-highest-amount-paid-sex It is because of these "mini studies" and experiences, that I don't condemn sex work, aka prostitution. I believe it is normal and men perpetuate it. I defend sex workers any day, any time. They are essential service providers. I have constantly criticised men, especially on Nairaland, who demonise sex work. I find it very hypocritical for patrons to condemn their service providers. I have protected sex workers from apparent danger and kidnap. See here: https://www.nairaland.com/7684230/how-reduce-hook-ups-nigeria and here: https://www.nairaland.com/8064135/hook-up-girls-earnings-expenses-pictured See the basic research which shows that men produce more testosterone than women: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22552705/#:~:text=Sexual%20desire%20is%20typically%20higher,in%20studies%20of%20sexual%20desire. Any species which produces enough testosterone MUST demand a continuous supply of sexual pleasure. Thus, adultery or however it is called will continue to thrive. |

IbeOkehie:Thanks for bringing that up - it is one area of research I am interested in from a Nigerian perspective. So, here you are from Kwara state: https://ijfacs.org/index.php/ijfacs/article/view/75/56 Separation and widowed are the highest reasons for single parenting. I believe being widowed is going to be worse in the middle belt areas as a result of the persistent and consistent butchering of Christians, especially males. Nevertheless, Nigeria has a low prevalence of single parenting compared to the US and UK. In the US, almost a quarter of children live with one parent or no other. This is a country that is not fighting a war o. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2019/12/12/u-s-children-more-likely-than-children-in-other-countries-to-live-with-just-one-parent/ The prevalence in Nigeria is one of the lowest globally. China, unsurprisingly, has it at 3%. Also the consequences are more than just financial. In the USA single motherhood is associated with higher rates of criminality and illegal drug use among all races. I'm willing to bet the same in Nigeria. By the way I sincerely have zero problem with single parenthood. It's a losing fight anyway, it can't be won, but it shouldn't be encouraged by government. Life is too short to be unhappy, those that want to be single parents, good for them.A global phenomenon across all cultures, races and countries. WROOONGGG!!!Interesting. So, actual native black people would likely vote for Trump? What do our Ikoyi and Lekki black voters in the US have to say about this? Does the average Nigerian-American know more about racism than the average African American? I think it will be more difficult for Trump to beat Harris, I really do. All in all I don't think Republicans should assume victory. The ruling class resentment against Donald Trump is deep. Anything can happen, the assassination attempt makes that clear. While no chances should be taken, do you really think a wide and diverse section of American voters are ready for a female president who is not White? |
Tightpussy2024:The single parenting I mentioned is based on wedlock. It is the worst form as divorces are widely practiced across cultures and countries. Wedlock isn't as rampant. For your anomalies, I am not surprised at your stance. I have known the average man criteria for judgment is never what is right or wrong but what is normal. Hence we have people like you that support adultery( in men alone off course), and other vicеs in men because it has been normal in the past and should continue to be.look at Kevin odanz for example. His cheating to him was normal, and onlyfans models is immoral to him. To must men, a 50 year old man having sex with their secretary at work is normal or sleeping with their housegirps, but they will outtightly condemn a 16 year old pregnant girl.I don't support men to sleep with their staff as it is unethical or with their domestic servants. I have mentioned that as an immoral act from one of the PSquare acts. We have a popular nairalander in the romance section that keeps on preaching against immortality, hookup , baby mamas etc but has admitted to adultery and states he will continue to do it. Such a man will see LGBT as the worst offence, but his acts, well, normalI wonder who this person is. But here it is: most humans are hypocrites. Some curtail theirs better than others. I will understand if your stance and GOP stance on SP is based on their concern for the dangers it poses, as you continue to highlight on NL. But if its just the abnormal part of it then...My stance is for societal good. A wanton practice of single parenting is not good for any society or group of people. Society passes several stages of development. Freedom and indepence from societal structures is increased in each stages . its human nature to normally evolve and liberate from time to time. Not the end of the world. Look at people identifying as athiests. How many of them chose that path in the past? While that is true, advocating or providing leniency to certain ideologies in the name of evolution even when they pose great dangers to the greater society is not advisable. All ideologies are not equal or good. Some are more harmful to the society than others. How do conservatives support a man divorced 3 times and has been accused of rape and sexual harassment still have the liver to complain of anomalies or societal breakdown? This is an election - he is the best man to win it for the party. In the same way, the other party chose a candidate who mistakes A for B or APC chose Tinubu rather than Osinbajo. The goal is to win and win very convincingly. |
Savagethe21st:No idea. But I strongly believe she has a stronger chance than Harris. I want Harris. The easier it is for Trump, the better. ![]() |
LionInZion:There are lots of lovey-dovey folks across the world. People who expect the world to work the way they think it should, rather than what it actually is. Humans will protect their interests before their rights. Northern Nigeria's Christians lobbied hard to include Nigeria on the list of prosecuted religious persons, rightfully so. To date, the church in the southern part hasn't assisted their northern counterparts. Rather, White evangelical clerics are the ones funding the rebuilding of churches and paying tuition fees of children orphaned by the continuous destruction of farmlands, churches and communities across Northern Nigeria. Tomorrow, when Christians from those areas lend their support to Trump, Ikoyi and Lekki Democrats, aka WomenCanBecomeMenAdvocates will accuse them of ignorance. Ask these folks when was the last time they donated to their fellow Nigerians and blacks, since na dem sabi race theory pass, who are slaughtered based on their faith? |
justwise:The United States was founded on Judeo-Christian values. So, this is irrelevant. |
missjekyll:Whether Nigeria is a toilet or not is a different issue. You seem angry a White man called Nigeria a toilet. Maybe if it were not, you would be residing in Nigeria instead. As for Trump and Christians in Nigeria, his administration enlisted Nigeria as one of the countries where religious prosecution goes on endlessly. Nigeria has more slain Christians than anywhere else. More than China and North Korea combined. Meanwhile, Christians in Nigeria especially Northern Nigeria would rather support Trump who openly called out the continuous butchering of Christians in the country. It was the GOP evangelical wing who lobbied for Nigeria to be listed amongst countries where religious persecution thrives. Here is the stat: Christians are slaughtered in Nigeria than anywhere else on the earth. Yes, more Christians have been killed in the black most populous country than in China and North Korea combined. https://www.persecution.org/2023/07/11/reconsidering-nigerias-removal-from-the-cpc-list/Stop the killing of Christians in Nigeria from Trump to Buhari: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0ntPm8rB8s https://punchng.com/killing-of-christians-in-nigeria-must-stop-says-trump/ Who removed Nigeria from the list? Your lovey-dovey Biden, who worked with Buhari to install him as president in 2015. How did Buhari's administration go for Nigeria? but hey, rAcISm yada yada yada |
Zahra29:This is what most of these people don't seem to understand - humans will support the party that protects their interests even if the candidate might not be the "cleanest" person. A black African family who escaped religious persecution from Plateau State will be okay with voting for Trump because that is the candidate and party who has shown support to slain Christians in his region. An Indian family that wishes to have their daughter participate in sporting competitions in actual women categories will rather vote for a party that is vehemently against the mumbo-jumbo transgenderism ideology. The Democrats have been accused of sidelining Harris in favour of white men who are far less qualified, aka Gavin Newsom. You'd also be surprised the number of women who don't support Harris simply because she's a woman herself. (Reverse sexism?)Well, she is not going to win. And yes, women will vote against her. I hope she gets nominated. The easier it is for Trump to win, the better. |
IbeOkehie:There have been racist-like comments by senior and erstwhile Republican members in the past. To Trump's disadvantage, the MSM keeps conflating his annoyance for illegal immigration to be against all immigrants. You've been making comments on single parent homes. Republicans are very vocal about supporting two parent families. Because Blacks have normalized single parenthood, such Republican advocacy is interpreted as racist. This same conflation between race and certain characteristics is responsible for all the perception of Republicans as racist. And there is the problem - in trying to solve it, the GOP will be seen as racist. In fact, from what I have read so far, calling out the skyrocketing number of single-parent homes by African American families makes them angry. They seem angry that people point out that it is not good for an ethnic group or society to have such unimaginable numbers. It surprises me how people are satisfied with anomalies. Additionally, an intriguing thing is how affirmative action was defended for admission into elite universities even when the major beneficiaries were wealthier African Americans, not the downtrodden, and black Africans who it wasn't originally meant for. Welfare. The escalation of welfare payments in the USA as part of the Great Society Programs to help the poor in general and Black Americans in particular. One of the conditions for receiving welfare was that there could be no husband or even man living in the homehttps://www.latimes.com/socal/daily-pilot/opinion/tn-dpt-1221-commentary1-20121220-story.html Tightpussy2024:Why not? Who does not like free money? Here is a quote about rampant welfarism by Lee Kuan Yew: "The principle is that you must work. We are not going to pay you for lying around,": https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-31939304 For example, a single mother with two children who earns $15,000 per year will generally receive around $5,200 per year from the Food Stamp program. However, if she marries a father with the same earnings level, her food stamps would be cut to zero. A single mother receiving public housing benefits would receive a subsidy worth on average around $11,000 per year if she was not employed. But if she married a man earning $20,000 per year, these benefits would be cut nearly in half.https://www.heritage.org/welfare/commentary/married-the-welfare-state |
ijebosb:Typical of Nigerians who have mentally checked out of Nigeria, but are surprised that Trump has supporters in Nigeria. Go and tell the victims of continuous Islamist attacks in Northern Nigeria that they have an "immature view of Christianity". The good thing is that as long as Trump is alive and kicking, he is gonna win the election as I don't see a good replacement from the Democrats and certainly not Harris or Michelle as one FT commentator opined. |
ijebosb:Divorce rates are high almost everywhere in the West. The family system has been bastardised countless times compared to their peers in East Asia. Now, there even exists a law in California which promotes transgenderism amongst children, not even adolescents. Isn't that the party which says men can be women and vice-versa? That men can compete in women's sporting categories? So, I am not fazed by the gradual dysfunction in a growing number of Western countries. Nevertheless, whether Republicans are hypocritical or not does not refute the claim Mr IbeOkehie in a third of black African homes are led by single mothers. Again, the stat globally shows that when there is a high rise in single-mother families, there is a corresponding rise in poverty. It is a straight path. |
ijebosb:While I do agree that the GOP openly endorse racism, it is important we realise that humans are tribal. The belief that everyone likes each other especially persons outside their kith is misplaced and does not exist in the real world. Two, as odd as it might sound to you, the majority of black African countries are sh!thole in nature. It hurts, yes, but it is a fact. There are more poor and dysfunctional countries in sub-Saharan Africa than elsewhere on the planet. While the US is a racially diverse society, instituting a racial-based immigration policy is not a new phenomenon. Many countries do it. A notable example is Singapore. Humans are tribal. 2.) Then you use an unsupported stat, increased visa denial rates. But have you drilled down on that stat? Have you checked whether there has been a recent increase in applications from Nigeria (would seem like it giving the economic conditions in Nigeria). Have you looked at the incidence of fraudulent applications comparatively in the various countries and how that accounts for Visa denials? All those would drive the denial rate up. I haven't drilled down to the data, but I'm sure you haven't either. And so, the stat doesn't make the point you think it does. At least for people used to studying data. The reason I brought up that stat is because of a recent tweet where someone admonished Nigerians in Nigeria or even in the US for supporting the GOP. One probable policy of Trump he mentioned is that citizenship by birth will end. This got me wondering - how does citizenship by birth in the US affect the ordinary Nigerian? The Nigerians who obtain such are in the top 10% of the entire population. So its cessation has nothing to do with the everyday Nigerian. One thing I have noticed in this election is how so-called elite Nigerians are afraid of a man whose policies restrict them from accessing the US. They are afraid that options to domicile outside their dominant environment which they could not build to functioning levels are reducing. It is why they support affirmative action, meant for native African Americans, because they as black Africans, including second and now third-generation, benefit disproportionately from the policies. Yes, more Christians have been killed in the black most populous country than in China and North Korea combined. https://www.persecution.org/2023/07/11/reconsidering-nigerias-removal-from-the-cpc-list/ 3.) Then you use all that to say "Democrats are less "racist" than the GOP is mere semantics", while leaving out the pure historical and contemporaneous reasons why African Americans believe the Republicans to be more racist. Just look at the Republican convention and the admitted Racists allowed to speak (Hulk Hogan, for one).As stated above, it is mere semantics because if these Nigerians, both naturalised or not and/or living in the US or Nigeria, believe that "Democrats are less "racist", we should have seen a high rate of visa approvals since such will inevitably increase the black population in the US. However, the approval rates have been abysmal with or without Trump. It is a bipartisan policy. Remember that other African countries also had visa refusals aside from Nigeria. |
IbeOkehie:Actually, that is a global phenomenon. I have checked the stat here across East Asian societies and in Japan specifically, the highest rate of poverty is found in single-mother homes. In Korea and others, the same applies. One of the reasons why the birth rate is low in East Asia is because women would rather remain childless than have children whose fathers are not present in their lives. Furthermore, Tensazangetsu20 who lives in Chile corroborated the same as statistics there show there is a very high rate of single mother parenting and these homes constitute the highest proportion of poor people. In fact, the numbers I have seen have led me to believe that women should not lead the home all alone. It is a strong reason I advocate for the two-parent household and detest baby-mamaism. I keep being tempted to start a Youtube Channel. You're telling me I don't know upper middle class or poor people in the USA or UK? Thanks for the laughs sha, wetin I no go hear for this Nairaland. Ttipsy:When I was much younger, my mom always emphasized that most Nigerians are not educated in the real sense. I challenged that view. But as I grew, read more and associated more with the society while comparing it to other societies and people, I realised that she was correct. Her reply these days is "Didn't I tell you? These people are not as intelligent as you suppose them to be". |
If you ask a Nigerian-American why do you support Biden rather than Trump, one of the reasons would be that Trump promises to make immigrating to the US restrictive, especially for black Africans, and Trump is racist yada yada yada. However, recent stat has shown that even with Biden as president, the visa rates for African students who want to study in the US have been abysmal. Here is it: "Overall, 80% of the top 15 countries with increased visa refusal rates are from Africa, the remaining 20% are from Asia." Considering that Asia is way more populated than Africa, especially the major two sources of foreign students in the US - India and China - yet its refusal rates is below 30% means African students are disproportionately refused visas in both sheer and per capita terms. Well, this is the reality: both parties in the US don't want to increase the black population in the US. As it is, the population of black people in the US is projected to decline to below 10% before the next century. The only way to maintain the current numbers is to import black Africans into the country. So, the belief that the Democrats are less "racist" than the GOP is mere semantics. Numbers don't lie. https://www.presidentsalliance.org/is-it-any-easier-for-global-south-international-students-to-study-in-the-u-s-visa-denials/ cc: IbeOkehie |
