PHIPEX:No PROMINENT pastor in Southern Nigeria has condemned the brutal killing of Christians in Northern Nigeria. None whatsoever! |
I will forever die on the hill that the day I am seen in a church in the south, I am going there to find women to fvck. Nothing else. I need to compile the names of churches to visit strictly for sexual rendezvous. Man, I will be a slut! There is nothing any pastor in a church in Southern Nigeria has to tell me that I don't know. |
The country defies rational thinking. |
NaijaVietnamese:The rest of your post is true, but the bold is false. Not even India can compete with Big Daddy China in manufacturing, especially when the Chinese finance most newly built factories in Vietnam. That said, I see Vietnam doing better than India in the long term. |
excanny:That is not entirely true. Gerrard59: |
givedemwotowoto:Ah! Just like I knew. It is always the poor tribalist who accuses wealthy racists of racism. His type is worse than Trump. I rather have Trump as my leader than someone who shares the same skin colour as myself but loathes me because of my ethnicity. |
Tellmeastory:Someone who comes from a country where Igbos were flogged during an election and Christians are roasted like suya for a Miss World pageantry accuses a man whose kith has built successful and functioning societies of rAcIsM 97% of black Americans oppose him, yet you from Nigeria know more than them, to be supporting a racist monster and criminal? He got half of the Black votes. Are you blacker than African Americans regarding US politics? |
casualobserver:You are an ethnic supremacist! To hell with your uNiTy! You are no different from the White man you accuse of racism. No effing difference! The white man might even use skin colour. What is your reason? |
Johncuppa:Nominal looks at goods and services transacted in a country within a given year. PPP looks at the true buying power of residents/citizens in each country. PPP is usually hard to compute. Nominal is subjected to international foreign exchanges. So, if you have a weak currency compared to the dollar, your nominal GDP will fall. But PPP tells the true picture of the economy. |
Angelfrost:The dude is a bloody miscreant! I was shocked to see my moniker alongside ethnic bigotry whereas I did not state ethnicity in my reply to him. This is a man who promotes ethnic bigotry yet accuses the White man of racism. A man who sees nothing wrong in disenfranchising his fellow citizens but accuses others of being Uncle Toms. A man who served Her Majesty, and obtained the British passport is now dictating to others how they should view the West?! How is stating that Nigeria is not a united nation suddenly a bad thing? He has an ideology that it is better to raise your children in Nigeria rather than the West because of certain national benefits such as appointments et al. But look at the list of people who Tinubu has appointed so far? What happens to children of ethnic minorities? Don't they deserve a fair chance to see that they too could be appointed regardless of who is in power? He is a bloody hypocrite who gets angry that normal people question his sick, cruel and hypocritical ideologies! |
casualobserver:You have a British passport, yet have the temerity to accuse others of mental slavery?! You are an insufferable miscreant! So, after chanting ethnic supremacy and supporting the flogging of Igbos who went to exercise their electoral franchise, you accuse me and others of being Uncle Toms?! Look at this 50+-year-old bastard! No be you show your British passports on top of your bed? After serving Her Majesty for donkey years, it is now you know that mental slavery exists? You must be very mad! |
Eriokanmi:India also experiences the same. But for black nations, Nigeria has to lead the way. I don't see any other black country that can do the same. At least for population sake because should black-dominated countries become prosperous, Nigeria must be among them. I know of 2 Nigerians whose wealth can shoot up our gdp astronomically. They're in the US.Sorry, but this is a funny statement. How can the presence of two individuals shoot our GDP ASTRONOMICALLY? Apart from Tope Awotona, who else? |
brain54:The ultra-religious Jews. They can have up to five or more children. Generally, Israelis love having children as they are fond of them and their presence. This is a marked difference compared to South Koreans. But the Orthodox/Hasidic Jews as they are known have prolific fecundity. |
brain54:There is a clear correlation between educating women and having a low fertility rate. It has been documented across regions regardless of cultural, religious or ethnic differences. It is one of the few concepts which binds the world. Maybe technology also contributes one way or the other.Technologies here are: - Medical advancement such as contraceptives and treatments which reduced infant mortality rates. So, unlike 50 years ago, couples can procreate fewer children knowing they will live longer. - The Internet and its sister social media have afforded humans to have entertainment options beyond just sitting at home doing nothing. Wealth is also another factor as wealthier people have fewer children. In most cases, wealth in today's world is directly linked to education, especially higher education. Also is it the fertility that's the problem ie declining fertility rates or it's just sheer unwillingness to have sex?As I mentioned, modern life and its vicissitudes. For one, East Asia frowns at wedlock. So, this means for the fertility rate to be low, the marriage rate is low. The question is: why is the marriage rate low? One, women are now educated, so they are now choosy. Remember, women have always been hypergamous since Adam. This means they gravitate towards men with greater financial resources. These men are fewer in society especially as women's entry into the workforce led/leads to fewer jobs for men. Two, educated couples want the best for their children. This means more entertainment options for the children, nutrition, after-class tutoring etc. In 2018, Singaporeans spent S$1BN on tutoring outside the standard classroom education. East Asians have an uber-competitive nature towards education. So, the competition is intense as parents don't want to be left behind. Three, the rise in feminism, especially in South Korea. There, the women stay away from whatever will have them do with men. Fourth, the cost of living has soared. Fifth, young people aren't as interested in marriage as their parents were. Finally, it is not necessarily an East Asian issue as all developed countries, except Israel, are experiencing low fertility rates, ditto developing nations. Theirs is severe because it is largely cultural as wedlock is frowned upon and stiff immigration policies, though this is changing. |
folake4u: ![]() Any lady who wants to maintain her virginity should do so for personal or religious reasons. But the belief that MOST Nigerian men have it at the top of their marriageable list is not entirely true. As long her sexual escapades aren't public or brazen, she will see suitors. I dare say the majority of single Nigerian men who specifically desire virgins aren't financially comfortable compared to those who don't. Sure, we have religious folks or deeply cultural individuals, but do they constitute the majority? I say no. It is unfortunate I don't have hard data to support my stance. P.S. My stance only concerns Southern Nigeria. |
brain54:Modern life and its vicissitudes. Recently, I saw some stat about the lack of sex and the situation is worse. Women's education also contributed. But whatever Japan's demography looks like, neighbouring South Korea is worse. Japan has the highest birth rate in East Asia. It is higher than China, both Koreas, Taiwan, Hong Kong and its cultural cousin Singapore. South Korea's TFR (total fertility rate) is the world's lowest at 0.68. South Korea's situation is precarious. Some countries are trying to curb their increasing population while some others are slowly dying out due to decreasing population.Actually, almost all countries globally are experiencing a reduction in population growth except for DRC, Niger Republic, Somalia etc. Once women are educated, a country's fertility rate reduces. Even Arab nations are witnessing reduced fertility rates. |
brain54:- Incompetent elites compared to the Chinese. - Unfortunate geography in being a region which the US sees as its right. See The Monroe Doctrine. So, Brazil is limited in how it extends its power or grows. The US has sponsored coups across South America and toppled governments. - Infighting/instability across the region. But Brazil and the wider region can still grow well enough provided they sell to Asia, ensure stability and peace and solve their economic inequalities affecting some of the populace. |
FalseProphet1:Entirely untrue. The men my female classmates married refute that notion. I knew what those girls did. The belief that Nigerian men, older or younger, really desire virgins is entirely false. I wish I had data to support my claim, but I am willing to bet anything that Nigerian men don't have virginity at the top of their marriageable list for women. |
brain54:India is growing very fast. The major issues in their clog are: - Huge population. Although in a greying world, this could become a boon. - Cultural issues and diversities - Incompetent elites compared to the Chinese. Another thing is brain drain to the West. Compared to China whose diasporan population (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Chinese Malaysia and Singapore alongside cultural cousins such as Korea and Japan) HAD already developed, it is Mainland India that is developing first. The best brains from India are in the West. The best Chinese brains returned to China to contribute to its development. But yeah, India's economy is growing fast, ditto Indonesia and Vietnam. The 21st Century is Asian. |
casualobserver:Three major reasons: - Nigeria is not a united country. - Nigerians consume Anglophone media content because of the English language. This also affects Chinese Singaporeans, some Hong Kongers, India etc. - The relationship between the US and Nigeria has been seemingly benign compared to say Nigeria and the UK or France and Francophone Africa. |
Objectivist04:Weak Yen and a greying population. China has a huge internal market and is the world's factory as it has integrated supply chains across major products. Also, the Chinese are more aggressive in making inroads into newer markets. Something the Japanese aren't good at. As for technological know-how, China has surpassed Japan and in some industries surpassed Germany. There are just a few industries the Chinese are yet to conquer such as aircraft engineering, semiconductor machinery and advanced biotech. Anything you think the Japanese are good at, the Chinese have surpassed them. Most importantly, Japan's economy fell when they signed the Plaza Accords which the US forced it to. Then, Japan's economy was roaring and almost surpassed that of the US. The same "IP theft" the US accuses China of today, the US did the same to Japan. By signing the Plaza Accords and accepting imbalanced trade deals in semiconductor chips/automobiles, the Japanese economy descended into the "Lost Decades". It is such a similar deal the US wants China to sign, which thankfully, Chinese elites have refused. Hence, the so-called US-China trade war. |
casualobserver:Local Content Law has prevented or reduced that aspect. As an instance, a friend's aunt's company caters to oil companies' staff. |
On a more balanced basis, China has a bigger GDP than the US as it has the world's largest economy based on PPP (Purchasing Power Parity). PPP is useful because it takes into account the relative cost of local goods, services and inflation rates of the country, rather than using international market exchange rates. |
AngelicBeing:Nominal GDP, not GDP per capita. |
lastkingsman:Interesting revelation. MusafaLion, what do you have to say about the bold? |
ednut1:cc: IbeOkehie When are we going to open our church? ![]() |
drsibz66:Different you mean* Yes na. Once Sharia was enthroned and is enforced in the north, it means different legal systems for different parts of the country. |
Jamie1000:Mostly in Sabon Gari where there are more non-Muslims than anywhere else in Kano. Prostitution is explicitly illegal in Northern Nigeria. Your reply should go to MusafaLion who is against the practice, not me. |
franchasofficia:Visa interview dates take a long time to get, both work and student visas. Between the US and Germany, I don't know which is worse. Some people speak like Olaf Scholz, yet visa dem no see. Better still, start the process of writing Nclex-rn exam for nurses to enable you Japa easily to USA, Canada, Australia. These 3 countries accept foreign nurses that have passed Nclex-rn easily. Recruitment agencies will rush you with offers. Good thing is you can now write Nclex-rn exam in Kenya. If you don't have enough fund for flight to Kenya, you can go by bus via Ghana route to write your exam.No centre in Ghana. Only Kenya and South Africa. |
Winnie56:- Get work experience either in your field or the industry you presently work in. - Apply for a master's program in any okay-ish school in the US. R2 is okay if your grades are not that good. R1 if your grades are good ((4.0+/5.0) and experience is cognate. Hunt for teaching assistantships and/or tuition waiver. Please note that you cannot work outside your university environment and education in the US is very expensive. Don't go there with the intent of POF o. - Before then, write the GRE. Try to score 300+/340. Get good letters of reference. - Since you know Spanish. Hone it and look into schools in Peru and pivot to the US from there. Preferably change to Portuguese and target Brazil. It depends on what you want at the end of the day. - As a commentator stated, change it to USD and put under your pillow. |
MufasaLion:Hit your head against the wall! Dishonest men like you don't address the root, but the stem. If you don't want prostitution to happen, enthrone Sharia as a legal system. But as long as you oppose Sharia, prostitution will continue, and there is nothing you or anyone else can do about it!! If you like cry an ocean! |
