Tightpussy2024:For the records, I don't discriminate about divorcees, female or male. I also don't bash single moms even though I don't support its prevalence in a society as it leads to negative results over time. I support divorces provided both parties agree to it and especially in a case of violence towards any party, man or woman. Plus men like gerrar.d59 that encourages men to be adulterous as their birth right, it looks bleak for African women shaThen this. The reason I support men, well-to-do men, exploring other options is because women enjoyed their time when they were much younger. The same women who bashed their male counterparts stating outrightly that they have nothing to do with them, but frolicked with much older men now suddenly want to dictate to men as to how many women they should frolick with? The same women who openly and willingly dated married men are now against their husbands doing the same? When they were dating married men and having male admirers, why didn't they say no? When they were collecting money upandown and doing fine girl (their rights) from married men, why change when they are married? In my books, the only woman a man should not "cheat on" is a virgin and the woman who was with him while he had nothing tangible in his life. Additionally, a man who explores should not bring forth diseases to his wife and children from other women, especially if he is not a Muslim. Also, after much analysis, apart from having children in a two-parent household, I don't see the benefits marriage accrues to men. Most importantly, it is not a black African man's thing to be adulterous. Men have testosterone, which is a hormone, not a m.oron. The average man globally likes to fvck. The Western men you use to judge other men divorce a lot, sometimes as high as thrice in their lives. The divorce laws in France condone adulterous men. The talk about fidelity mostly lies with Anglophones. Outside Anglophone, married men fvck a lot. As a result of the Jarus' case, I had to ask two Indonesians (male and female) about their country's and Malaysia's views regarding polygamy. Both stated that it is not common there, but cheating especially by married men is rampant. The reason Anglophone men aren't openly adulterous is because of what they stand to lose economically. Elsewhere, the men lose nothing economically when they explore. In China, men have mistresses. The same holds for Russian, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Arabian and Latino men. For Chinese men, go to Macau and the Philippines to see what they do there. So, if you want to stem the tide of adulterous affairs by Nigerian men, institute systems which punish their extramarital relationships. The other option would be to marry Western men and leave Nigerian/African men alone. Korean women are doing it. Copy them. Another option is to remain single, become a reverend sister, marry a woman or marry a much poorer man. Again, the right to choose, not to dictate. |
kolaa007:The embassy is in Abuja, not Lagos. How much is visa fee what documents do I need and would be nice to meet some Nigerians when I get to Tokyo. Once I get someone will start my step by step journey to getting tourist visa and see if Dem give me or not. CheersGoogle "Japanese embassy in Nigeria" to find more information about obtaining a tourist visa to Japan. As for meeting Nigerians in Tokyo, as a tourist in a foreign land, why do you want to meet your country people? Anyway, there are Nigerians there and in neighbouring Saitama prefecture. Check Bumble too and other online groups. |
aviara:He alienated other West Africans who together form the majority. After all, the winner has a Liberian father and a Sierra Leonean mother. As it is, other West Africans would rather vote for a White person from the Conservative Party than a Nigerian. I don't see a Nigerian representing that constituency anytime soon. |
aviara:A retired orthopaedic surgeon who worked in the NHS o |
Olusola who took the second to the last spot in the election, garnered 261 votes while the winner of the election, Miatta Nema Fahnbulleh, garnered 22,813 votes. One of the few black politicians in the UK with a degree from Oxford in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. She has a solid profile and could be appointed as the Exchequer one day. |
Love800:My prayer is that you eventually get the opportunity to leave Nigeria. |
Yustash001:My sympathy. So, how is she coping? A year is a long time o ![]() AngelicBeing:She should stayed back in Nigeria. All courses are not equal regarding relocation. Anything non-STEM has to be backed with quality work experience, a globally recognised certification or degree from an elite university. |
The people criticising those in the videos NEVER condemned the utterances of MC Oluomo. How different are you lots from MC Oluomo? So, why are you so pained that MC Oluomo was mentioned? Even Tony Kabaka of Edo State was also mentioned. Also, their accents don't sound like they are Igbos. They could be Binis or of another ethnic group. Anyway, I am really delighted with this demystification of the UK by recent migrants. It really pains those who have crowned themselves as representatives of Nigerians in the UK because they resided there for ages or were born and bred there. Before, we will be told, "we don't have the range to talk about UK/US/Canadian politics or issues". It is now an all-comers' affair. Please keep uploading those videos. I love them! cassette:He is pained because the UK he thought was excluded from "commoners" has had every Tom, Dick and Harry inside. I bet you if he has his way, he would ban Nigerians from entering the country. |
Yustash001:Sorry, your sister has been in the UK for 12 months without securing a job or she has a job already? |
FEGEITOK:A nurse can move to the UK. It is an in-demand profession. Better as she is single. Preferably, she gets a job before entering the country. I no sabi how that visa system dey work. |
That road is gone. But it baffles me o...is it that we don't have the mental capacity to solve our infrastructural problems, whether erosion or flooding? I have stated it here, if it means hiring the Chinese or Japanese to build, operate and maintain these infrastructures, so be it. We no dey try as black men o. ![]() |
RodgersAkpafu:The same India that is neutral and is in bed with Putin? Those days of "my way or the highway" by Western countries are over. China is going nowhere. It is here to stay. It is an economic giant. As for investments going to India, some are owned by Chinese businesses. In other parts of Southeast Asia, and even Morocco, Chinese businesses are the ones powering those moves. The West initiates a policy, China surges along. Moreover, many Western firms are still staying put. They never leave a much poorer Russia, na China dem wan leave? The manufacturing and supply-chain ecosystem in China is unparalleled. So, yes, some investments are moving away from China, but are financed by Chinese businesses. It is a Win-Win for developing countries. So, I am surprised that rather than agitate for African countries to benefit from China's derisking, you advocate for clipping of China's wings. Whereas most technologies Africa(ns) enjoys today are solely because the Chinese made them very affordable and accessible. the high tariffsChinese universities are already so good (The Economist stated this itself), except you want them to study Gender Studies and Transgender Mutilation. UK universities cannot survive without foreign students. This is an undeniable fact. The top universities either have to admit more foreign students or have empty classrooms. Although, Indians are fast replacing the Chinese, the Chinese spend more and don't seek handouts. Apart from India, where else do you expect to get students? The ones wey Tinubu don batter? For instance, look at the restriction of visas by the UK, the numbers from India and Nigeria dropped, but not so for China because the terms of those rules don't affect them. and BTW there is little room for growth for China at this pointThere is little internal consumption in the Chinese economy. So, there is room to expand. And yes, largely a reason they are exporting their goods to consumers who are watching their pockets. So, to stem inflation, countries would have to rely on China for the foreseeable future. Again, Japan's economic fall began when her baby-daddy America twisted its hands to sign the Plaza Accords. Is that what you want for China? RodgersAkpafu:The same also happened in Japan. I read that very article in the WSJ. OTOH, America has bullied foreign competitors with huge fines. Samsung Electronics has been fined several times when it went head-on-head with Apple. The same was done against Huawei, but it has survived. The EU does the same with American tech firms, just as America does the same with European firms. No one is innocent. the west for so long had turned a blind eye to the open hostility of Western firms in Asian markets....You would have to define the Asia here. If you mean the likes of Japan, Taiwan and Korea, those are China South Korea. etcUnite with who? The world's economy has shifted East. Get along with them, rather than fighting them. Those days are gone. If you fight them, they embrace China. It is 2024 not 1994. |
"Stifling China’s green energy boom would be a disaster" - FT. I cannot post the link here because the anti-spam bot has banned me countless times whenever I post FT articles. The West initiated the pivot to EVs and a green economy. China was vilified for smoggy air and polluted waters. China latched onto green economic technologies. China succeeded. Today, the West is angry. The same is gradually happening in AI. The time for sole Western dominance is over. Dem folks have to accept it. cc: RodgersAkpafu |
RodgersAkpafu:Agreed. However, the Chinese should be given accolades for expanding their economy via sheer hard work, fore-sighted investments into new technologies and expansion of investments/factories into developing countries. Dictating them to quell its progress does not sit right with me. The same was applied to the Japanese in the name of Plaza Accords. Africa is too poor to absorb the excess capacity from China IF the west TRULY locks them out of their marketsThe reason China is investing in these markets so they grow as China did and can afford goods and services by Chinese companies. If anything, capitalism and corporate greed is what is messing the west up, especially the United StatesI am curious, how exactly considering the US' economic situation is the best amongst all Western economies? |
In other words, if you are of the following: - a married person; - leave on a student visa - with children - and above 30 Remain in Nigeria. |
RodgersAkpafu:Unfortunately, many cannot return because the Nigerian economy is tough as well. APC ruined the country! Used tribal bigotry and economic incompetence to destroy the gains of the PDP. I blame dem Obasanjo, Atiku, Saraki and the rest who were so greedy and short-sighted. Economy goes in cycles and right now, the economy is in the pitWestern countries to a great extent would continue to suffer economic crisis as long as they fight China. The animosity towards an economic giant such as China simply because the Han people refuse to cower in fear will affect the global economy. You cannot fight China and expect economic progress, especially for EU nations. Nigerians dey owe rent for this UKInteresting. Dem Big and Old Uncles in the UK would be having the times of their lives! ![]() most people finding jobs difficult to getAgain, fight China and suffer for it. The West would have been able to do away with China if Africa had a prosperous middle class, but after conniving with despotic rulers across the continent, how Africa wan grow? China has Southeast Asia to sell goods to. Europe has a poor Africa and a restive Middle East. |
MT:Everyone knows migrating to the UK from Nigeria is easier than North America. |
ednut1:If Ednut dey warn people to be fully prepared, then e mean say water don pass garri. ![]() You people should listen to him o. |
nairaman66:I am ignorant of the worshipping, but it is fairly common to read/see top grads in Mathematics rather than Physics. It is so rare even in the US. |
Kizzygentle:Blacks are mostly associated with drugs. Asian countries hate drug trafficking because of history. See Opium War in China. However, in Singapore's case, regardless of nationality or race, the laws are applied. |
javascript1901:I wrote about living and working in Asia as a black person, preferably man. That said, studying in Singapore is notoriously expensive. The universities there charge Harvard/Oxford rates for international students. No direct work visa after studies. Those who get such working rights are international students, almost all from neighbouring countries, sponsored by the Singaporean government. There are different classes of work visas for foreigners who wish to work in Singapore. I explained everything in this thread below: Gerrard59: |
Majulah Singapura! Even though Japan and Singapore are allies (Singaporeans LOVE Japan), no favouritism when rules are broken. As for those rights groups, they should shut up! There's a reason Singapore is one of the world's safest cities for almost ten consecutive years. |
Esthered:Please don't fall for the religious, God-chanting tricks of Nigerians. I cherish your current state - two children. You plan well and hope for the best, while also preparing for the worst. You know where the shoe pinches. As you rightly stated, children are investments, not to reap but to nurture. It takes so much to raise children into responsible beings in today's world. I read online that a crate of egg don hit 5K, and we know how egg, in boiled form, is essential for children's growth, mentally, physically and nutritiously. I still try to phantom how couples seeing their low income mekwe anyhow and not take caution. They claim that it's good to have a good number of them as you don't know how many will succeed.Tor! Hopefully, they have more girls than boys. |
