Very common and very rampant in our society.
When my daughter was having toothache and visible swelling cheek, I told my wife to take her to the state government owned hospital. After meeting the dentist and secured appointment for the next day, my wife began to tell me that we should be using local things. Apparently, she was afraid, just like many Nigerians are afraid of CS even in worst pregnancy cases. I spent over 12k. One tooth removed, four filled. And the kid got better.

Not true ..I am a Dentist...Only stardard govt hospitals do Root canal therapy like Uch,oauthc,luth,etc..Most private Dental clinics do it too,,I do it very often ,but the question is ,can you afford it??..Extraction is a last resort,,costly to the patient,also the cheapest at the same time..
And for those saying "Nigerian Dentists",, there is nothing a foreign Dentist can do,,dat I cant do too,,You can say they have better tools to work with,,I csn agree wit you on that..
And for those saying they pity Dentists,,lmao,,Dentist make a lot of money in Nigeria,,go to lagos ,abj,,ph,You will wonders...Evrn in govt hospitals, we are not paid any lesser than our Doctor colleagues,,its same scale...

My daughter's case was handled better and satisfactorily in a state owned hospital. Many Nigerians wouldn't seek professional help in time, they would have used this and that to destroy the teeth roots before going to the right place for help. That also includes eye problem

You're wrong, there is a president now, president elect. The president elect now controls more loyalty than the incumbent one because he is the future while the incumbent is the past. Resources are now divided for both of them, he can't take major decisions without carrying the president elect along because he's the one who will inherit whatever decision he takes now.
