I doubt many Nigerians will still be proud of Nigeria on the football pitch after the severe humiliation it will surely take in the next World Cup.

.

From my experience even if Ghanaians are killed anywhere, his compatriots won't have the guts to come out and protest.

I have seen Ghanaians been maltreated at work in diaspora, Nigerians often feel offended seeing a fellow African maltreated and the Nigerian often speaks up. I nearly slapped one silly white man one day. Charlie, thank you my brother he later said.

Subservience is not something I would be proud.

When Ghanaians are killed abroad, it's because of accident or racism. When Nigerians are killed abroad, it's usually because they were involved in crime. That's why Ghanaians are tolerated in most countries while Nigerians have a bad reputation as a group in so many countries.

If you guys are despised almost everywhere in the world, maybe and just maybe it's your own fault instead of all these other countries are xenophobic?

Travel / Re: Canada Begins Compulsory Fingerprint For Nigerian Visa Applicants by ghananotnaija(m): 3:31am On Oct 29, 2013
Canada joins the long list of countries around the world that have problems with Nigerians. It's a shame, because Nigeria used to be a country with decent people (Don't get me wrong, Nigeria still has a lot of good people, but the amount of people out to ruin it for everyone else has well reached the critical mass.), before the flood of oil money sent the country's morals down the drain for good.

Keep quiet. The giant is the champion of Africa. The last I checked, Ghana wasn't the African Champion?

You're STILL talking about AFCON?! For God's sake, you beat Burkina Faso of all countries to win in the finals. I mean how could you boast about that?

Also, the Giant of Africa has nothing to do with population. The fact that Nigeria is the most populated simply means that Nigeria is severely overpopulated and has less resources for each Nigerian (more poor Nigerians than there would otherwise be). There is nothing to brag about. I was talking about the football Giant of Africa, not the economic, political, technological (or overall) Giant of Africa, which is still South Africa.

There is one thing that Nigeria leads all African nations which isn't negative: Nigeria's entertainment industry.

GatJokez: What they don't realize is that Italians, especially in South Italy, are very severely racist. You see African workers waiting along streets to be picked up for "work" not realizing they'll be lucky to escape with their lives, never mind getting paid fairly for their work. They are treated as slaves. Italy is very corrupt and laws do not protect visaless foreigners or migrants (including those from Eastern Europe and Mid-East). They are hateful bigots angry angry angry

Source: I lived there for two years a while back.

Ouch, sorry you had to work as a porstitnte for 2 years. But at least you were well paid, right?

Well, I think we've all been missing the point here. Whether or not this would be a good idea, and where to build the nuclear reactor, we have to resort to the traditional Nigerian way of making important decisions: consult TB Joshua and the other prophets.

A lot of people project false images of themselves online. Lot of liars on this forum.

Thanks, ba7man. While I do admit I go overboard at times dissing Nigerians, they're in jest and mostly from my own frustrations living in Nigeria, which, I think most readers here would experience as well.

There's a large reservoir of water under the Sahara. Naija just need to do what gaddafi did and build a next man-made river from that. Heck, they can always get tunnels/pipes to connect the Niger river to wherever they might build the nuclear plant.

The South is too populated for a nuclear plant. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

I didn't think of possible aquifers below the desert, so maybe it could work in the North. But with the current security situation, can the government guard a nuclear plant in the North from Islamist attacks? Not all of the South is densely populated, Bayelsa, for one, does not lack water, but is relatively sparsely populated by Nigerian standards.

I think I understand where you are going. Nigerians are not alone in dishonesty. The reason you are here is because you want some food for your table and I expect you to respect where your food is coming from.

My food comes from God alone, and I receive my blessings from God with my own hands by my hard work. I earn a living not because of what Nigerians are doing, but in spite of what Nigerians are doing.

Anyway, Nigeria has a lot of wastelands in the North and that should be a perfect location for it. And it would be closer to whatever uranium stockpile naija has.

A nuclear plant needs a lot of water, and the North of Nigeria is rather dry.

You are welcomed to Nigeria, by the way, my cook is from Ghana. Nigeria is blessed with unlimited resources, you can always take a bite, and make sure you pay respect.

Well, economic migrants to Nigeria from other countries from Africa like me don't take a bite for free, that's for sure. We contribute to the economy of Nigeria by our honest labour in exchange for a piece of the pie. We just wish that more Nigerians do the same instead of trying to get their share by dishonest means.

Why Deal with it?? ?? ?? Why not just go back to your country?? It's not by force to stay in nigeria if you don't like it.. Idioots this days..

Because God made a mistake when He put oil in Nigeria, so there is all this money from oil in this country. So I'm here to get a piece of the action. The same reason that Nigerians and other Africans venture to Europe, Asia, and North America, suffering through all that racist bigotry and discrimination in order to live a better life.

Don't think I'm in Nigeria because it's a great country. Nigeria's only relevant in the world because of the oil under its ground.

YOU ARE VERY VERY STUPID FOR COMMING HERE TO INSULT NIGERIA.

I happen to be a Ghanaian residing long-term in Lagos, this being my 5th year in Nigeria. So, I have a very big stake in what goes on in Nigeria, and I have a say about what goes on in this country.

I have to deal with the BS that is Nigerian culture and society on a daily basis, so I'm on Nairaland to vent my frustration.
