FERNANDEZISBACK:I just read your comment on earlier post. How I wish I can like that post for 1million likes… Nigeria with rubbish superstition. A guy on Nigeria info 99.3 put 1m up for grab one time like that. He said and I quote “anybody who have juju should show up and prove it to him in open ground if it’s works, the person get 1 million” You know what? Many people that called that day was just referring him to one villages to the other without credibility sources. I don’t believe in juju but when you asked Nigerians if juju is real? they’ll referred you to over 200BC rumour of one Baba taju or uncle Uche. I believe only in Humanity

E-hailing HMMM Around 2019 I screenshot few rides from mainland to the island and thank God the date and everything is still intact. Dollar rates was there too. Up till this moment, since 2019 till this very moment, the fare is still the same price oh. No increment at all everything is just same but you know what? Uber/bolt/inDrivers ‘’drivers’’ never ready to see what’s really going on. You’ll see ridiculous dashboard earnings and at the end of the month(s) you’ll be looking for who to borrow you 1 thing or 2 to fix your car. Who to blame? The government and inflation of course. Someone rightly saying there are other jobs one could take that’s better than ehaling but if you ask the person, which job is it? He or she will run and never come to comment on your post ever again. You see I’ll give y’all a simple logics to work with. Not everybody will get Canadian visa/America/Europe visa but go to travel sections you can do research with 2-4Gb of megabytes you keeps wasting watching Instagram. Some African countries if you follow student routes are far more better than some European countries (Mauritius, Angola, rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa etc)….. use ehailing proceedings as a stepping stone for a huge achievement. - One thing I’m certain of is that passport will keeps getting harder to get in Nigeria. Go and get your passport now. - unless you earn in foreign, do illegal business, or know someone who know someone before you as an average working legitimate in Nigeria will get to build a dream house. - any country I repeat any country that doesn’t spend a coin is a cursed country. - before the ending of this year, Dollar will close to 1k write it down - petrol supposed to have Been selling for 450-625 but because of election, they are trying to keep Ife minimal. - not everybody will travel out and also travel out isn’t as easy like that but you know what? Make a change for your unborn children by having another country passport at least. - if care is not taking, prices of ehailing will keeps becoming getting worse because there’s no regulation to anything in naija. - these are all my thoughts I’m not imposing anything on you. But make A while the sunshine’s Politics in naija…. People failed to understand that everybody get their own opinions. I mean people can support whoever they want. I’m not a fan of politicians because I’ve given up on this country why? She can’t work no matter how the cut and join. Nigeria is divided with everything. It’s like a lighter and gas they’ll surely ignite one day. A whole country where there’s no working identification for a citizen. (Mere watching olden days movies of the western will give you goosebumps on how they take id’s serious by implementing their citizens names document and a family carry’s along their plank ID’s. But In Nigeria, you can be born by birth in Lagos and go to oyo and reclaim your birth certificate. Majority of African have ID and first thing police will ask of you is ID Did you know Nigeria is among the countries where it’s easily as a foreigner to walk into the immigration and bribe your way to get passport. Yes it’s for highest bidder you can’t even try that in Benin Republic or Niger/chad. Walk in to any police station in Nigeria, the places you’ll see laptop or desktop computers on their desk/reception is mainly headquarters. There’s no record for anything just merely papers it’s sad. A country where there’s no single regulations on anything. Bro all the engine oil una been buying after covid is hmmm let me not say it. But you know many engines are gone. Nigeria is a free country whereby money can buy anything. Nigerians are too tribalistic and fake sadly it’s happens everywhere in the whole world but it’s sickening in Nigeria. No love from anyone. Woh let me rest here but as for me I’ll put this last thing write it down, no matter I repeat NO MATTER WHO RESUMES AS A PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA IN 2023, WE’LL STILL COME BACK AND THANKS BUHARI BECAUSE THE WHOLE SYSTEM OF NIGERIA IS DESIGN TO EMBRACE THE PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT. seun289:In a week now, my PB is set I’ll post mine it’s comes with everything. 100% camera car is neat send me your WhatsApp |
dTransporter:If your house is not far from Ketu you might have to consider owode Onirin. There are many secure place to park for 200-500naira and also you can park at T-Time filling station for free. Go inside the market and get whatever you wanna get and be good. |
confusedworld17:Tell your friend to read this and put it at the back of his/her mind. 240k is not feasible on this e-hailing…. The only guaranteed money you can make if you’re a car owner is 90k a month week in week out. Your car is the tools and must always stay healthy for every time your friend use it. 20-25k is guarantee every week (if your car didn’t give you a problem) Tell him to forget whatever earnings anybody posted that’s just a e-money is not raw cash. If your friend over stress that car, he might probably come and be begging for loans tell him let him understand the logics. Everything is different now. |
Did you know? Since 2019-2022 E-hailing price(s) as only being increased by 55 naira. Yes 55 naira oh Pure water as at then was 65naira per bag now is 220-250 naira. Danfo oworo to obalende 100 then 300-500 now Rice 20k - 30-35k now Tyre rim 15 tokumbo 4K - 12-14k now with Abeg To fix tyre was 300-500 but now is 800-1500k with Abeg. Hub Corolla regular Coro for Uber used to be 8-10k max but now 25k for one side 50k for both side to even see original nko na another Israelite journey. Tokumbo Coro was 1.650-1.9m now is 3.2-3.5M. Alternative car for e-hailing Hyundai Elantra 2009 used to be 1.3-1.5m it’s sold for 2.7-3m now same goes to civic. I don’t need to even touch engine oil and food stuffs. That’s something else. Did you know? If you give your wife 100k today or you carry 100k go market today, you wouldn’t even understand how the money take go off with few things you buy in market. Why? inflation coursed it. Everything you buy in Nigeria for 100naira 3-4years ago is now 450naira and above that’s over 300% increments. E-hailing prices (luxury) as remain stagnant. So why all these analysis? ——- is for you as a driver/partner/car owner to guide your car very well. Don’t accept any worthless trip all in the name of keeping driver score or bull-sh….t. Protect your car as a new born baby. Because in next few months prices of cars and spare parts will increase if not triple it’ll be doubled. And you know one silly thing about naija Nothing goes up in prices ever comes down again. Have a second plan :- be it japa, another business, or try and save to source for any African country you can easily migrate and create a little business not everybody will make it to Canada. Try and check for online programs:- check for Coursera, udemy etc they’ve got google certified courses in which you could do for 3-6months and land your remote dream job. Make research for some country whereby you can start a little spare part, selling of clothes, creative makeup artist, hair dresser businesses etc…. You can easily check Rwanda, Botswana, Ivory Coast etc… I didn’t say you should go now this is just a clue make a research yourself don’t give any agent a dime google and YouTube can help you out. Don’t over stress your car for now. The day your car break down and you’re looking for money to buy engine or gear is the day you’ll know that life is hard. E-hailing can never and will never give you that millions-billions you’re looking for they’re just designed to kill your cars and you yourself. Yes it’s a luxury that supposed to come with prices of luxury. But you know what? Greediness of Nigerians/African/competitions kill it. You can have 10years experience in driving e-hailing but the truth is that e-hailing can’t increase your knowledge and career experiences. Rather, it’ll reduce you to zero levels. Think and think today. There’s no age limit in starting new things. I thank God for how early I started and I appreciate God how my life is turning around. But don’t forget one thing, I’m not discouraging you for driving Uber/bolt because I’m a bolt driver too and I'll never do that. But I’m trying to let you understand that you should use e-hailing savings as a stepping stone for your future greatness. You can see heavy dashboard and mere looking at the driver that earns that million on app alone will make you sick. Driver facial will Looks over stress, scary and un-happy. Unfortunately all the money he makes will somehow find itself back to mechanic and car part dealers in few week/months. How can you make 800k e-money and have 50k physical cash (I’m been sarcastic here but you know the truth). I’m not blaming anybody but you as a driver be it rental or hire purchase, try and make sure you work smart and have a good saving culture. Don’t give up apply for your passport now because it’ll be more stressful as time goes on. Apply for that course today. That money/time to apply tommorow might not come Tommrow. Try that business today your destiny helper might come from the business and you’re just dragging e-hailing thinking you’ll meet them there. Thanks everyone and remember to give credits as you share my post. Is your Guy Ghost1994 nairaland Saintrow on FB God will continue to be with us. |
rukz:Driving school will teach you signs, basics/technical stuffs you needed to know. But continue learning from someone will be plus after you have attend driving school. Make sure you go driving school first and also source for YouTube videos about road signs. Cheers |
Felicity001:God will bless you for raising these points. My Guy you too much. I’ve never and I’ll never do inDriver or rida. I’d rather give my cars out for hp or sell it off and use the money for another business. Some people will come soon and defend these app coys and claiming that you don’t understand the logics of how to make money or freedom blablabla sh-t. Well I don’t blame them because majority as you said earlier have one or two things to settle out. Weekend hustle that used to be very dope, it’s even hard for you to net 10k this time around as a car owner oh. What if you’re now paying rent how can you meet up. I pity you that just accept HP may God see you through cos many inexperienced driver have used moove Suzuki spoiled everything. And I think this Indriver/rida will later be hot cake and bury Uber/bolt in Nigeria. Very soon we will bury ehailing for luxury AC. Me self go ship micra from Ibadan whenever I see say all una cars don spoil finish. The truth is that bolt/Uber will never increase their fare cos inDriver/rida ridiculous prices is choking them. So it’s better we looking at Yaris hatchback, Nissan micra, golf 3 etc… because I see ehailing dying soon as a luxury AC. Wise up guys. |
Even in southi too? Hmm

northbird:Na why I been Dey tell him say make himself inspect his vehicle very well to be sure of what to do. It’s easier to direct mechanic on what to do rather than guess works |
drmikeadams:Mechanic no suppose bring down your engine because of oil seal. It’s a round rubber and all he need to do for easy repair is to remove the passenger tyre and passenger sand protector and belt that’s all. And the cost of original seal shouldn’t be 2-4K his workmanship depends maybe 3-5k max. So please get your fact right know what you want to do first. You can check this morning if it’s oil seal or try another mechanic. Some Lagos mechanic can be rogues he need to pay school fees too. Below is what oil seal means and that’s the location of engine Bless you
|
For my car maintenance especially daily routine before I jet out in the morning:- I know many people attended lasdri training and I find that training very useful. First thing I do check before starting my car early in the morning is 1. Belt yes the belt and why? Because even the so called tokumbo sometimes can fail you on the road anything can happen I don’t trust belt we do buy so due to experience I make sure I checked around the belt. If I notice any wornout, I might probably change it and also I make sure to have extra belt. 2. If you’re using Corola I mean regular 03-07 I make sure I check oil seal if it’s leaking. Because many corollas out there Dey short oil especially if you’re using it for this hustle. To change Corolla oil seal is just 1-3k depend on the mechanic and where you buy parts. But for Honda Civic 06-09 I make sure I checked under the bottom if there’s no leakage Lagos roads is sometimes bad and you might not have an idea if you’ve hit a terrible stone that’ll make your engine or gear oil to be leaking. 3. For corollas yes I kept on insisting on corollas because na them plenty pass and I’ve got one here. Make sure you check your oil stick level. Corolla Dey short oil even Ladipo self most of them na engines wey dem buy from owode majority go reboil and resale. Even if you carry Imam or Pastor go Ladipo you’ might still fall victim talking from experience tokumbo of corollas engine no too sure for Ladipo again. But for Honda Civic I love this particular car engine cos I’ve got one too and other brands check your oil level if it’s short top it with the recommended oil brand by checking the oil cover you’ll know which one is recommended for your car. 4. I check the coolant level if it’s short I top it. Because sometimes our weather is unpredictable. 5. I use to make use of my wiper fluid while driving and I’ll just top it too. 6. Check your four tyre round and see if it’s less and also your extra tyre if it’s less remember to fill it. For tyres you can check Aliexpress.com, alibaba.com or Jumia check for tyre accessories you’ll get tyre gauge it’s cost less down 2k on Aliexpress it’s good you’ll know the level of your tyre gauge easily. So basically for me, these are few things I make sure I check before leaving home for hustle in the morning. Some general experiences for newbies that love hustling at night:- 1. Make sure around 8-9pm you fill your tank with 4-5k of fuel. It’s very important because the only place you’ll be able to get fuel around island is enyo filling station ikate and mainland is ojota by odo iyalaro. 2. Make sure you have change like 200 100* 5 to sort police should in case you fall victim of any documents whatsoever. 3. Never argue or no your rights at night whenever armed policemen stop you for night. 4. Never ever for any reason collect a package delivery for night. It’s dangerous and set up. Many drivers are currently in jail for this act. My experiences was bad with things like this:- Have got a request around one estate along kusenla road he called me with cool voice and go on like this below:- Rider: mr. Saintrow good evening sir how’s your day going and work sir. Me: fine sir in my mind I have doubt on him R: sir I’ll be waiting for you at the gate Me: ok I zoom got to pickup R: waiting already at the entrance with a Package—— sir this is what’s going sir Me: please what’s inside the package and can I open it I mean tear it and video it with you? R: why will you do that sir anyways I understand it’s for your safety but na popcorn Dey there sir. Me: guy stop fooling me how can you transport popcorn worth less down 500naira to Ikoyi with 1.5surge nawao na drug Dey there alaye. R: bros calm now I go pay now. Me: guy my nickname is ghost if you doesn’t stop this shit I’ve got you on camera I’ll report you to the authorities very useless idiot naso una Dey make jjc fall victims. R: ran inside with sorry That’s it imagine carrying popcorn 500 to delivered to girlfriend very useless idiots so be vigilante guys. 5. Never ever I repeat Never ever collect anything from passenger to hide from Police at anytime. It’s a trap you might land in jail. 6. Don’t ever listen to any rider whenever you sight law enforcement at night. Many of those riders that’ll shout run or take another route might have a dangerous weapon to kill you and collect your car. Make sure you face the police whatever happens is not in your control so far you don’t have anything don’t worry police no Dey disturb Uber. 7. Don’t ever accept offline at night it’s very dangerous cos if anything happen to your drunk rider maybe he/she die the only thing that’ll help you is your ongoing online trip. 8. Don’t and never have any goodies, chocolate, biscuit or whatsoever to offer riders I don’t follow bolt/Uber trainings on what they said we should have to entice riders for ratings. Guys America is different from Nigeria you don’t know what the rider has taken before entering your car he or she might’ve taken poison to assist the journey you com give am your chocolate na you police go hold oh. 9. If rider fail to pay you fully or none don’t fight physically cos you don’t know the kind of fate he or she has. it’s might be setups because most of them are walking dead i wrote this on my last article. You fit curse them but don’t fight physically 10. If your instinct tells you that rider(s) seems dangerous at night drop them it’s a sign from God. 11. Don’t carry 2-3 guys together at night. Haaa it’s scary experiences especially if they’re coming from clubs majority go don high and some might’ve good intentions for you but then naija is dangerous. 12. If you’re carrying a guy (huge guy) at night never allow him to sit at the back. He’s huge he fit make you sleep with just chemical or strangle you and please always watch your inner mirrors should in case you carry ladies too. 13. Should in case you’re tired and want to rest, never sleep on the Lekki Epe expressway. ESP on that folix lounge road that’s too risky for your life. Make sure you go Fola osibo, street opposite farm city Lekki one, freedom way by presken hotel is not bad too, but don’t sleep on major road and admiralty road too never sleep there. 14. If a rider begged you for cash never give them it’s a trap na fake transfer them wan do. Carry them go atm make them withdraw. 15. If a rider tells you that they don’t have cash to give you at night, and they can’t do transfer, but once they get home they’ll go inside and bring your money (this always happened early in the morning esp with runs babe wey dem no sell) tell them to drop their phone or anything valuable and go inside to bring your money. Never allow them to go no matter how they sweet chatted you. 16. Some places to sleep on the island:- Lekki 1, chevron by alternative road, Osapa London is not very bad too in front of those hotels, Dmatel hotel, kusenla road by that stadium, mega chicken, sky mall sangotedo many people will add join. For Victoria island:- Eko hotel road, Oniru beach, many hotels around oniru is safe too, Cubana, quilox and many more. Yaba: sabo only. Surulere: bode Thomas Ikeja: off Toyin, Allen, shoprite and many more from people comments below. 17. If a rider call you and tell you that you’ll pick something for him at mushin and bring it for him or her in ajah on sososo surge but you’ll give the sender money like 1-10k guy it’s old format. Na foam you Dey pick and on top of your fuel you’ll lose and cry. Last but not the least 18. ALWAYS DUST YOUR CARPETS AND RUG AT NIGHT SOME RIDERS MIGHT'VE DROPPED TABLET OR DRUGS AND IF POLICE DO STOP AND SEARCH YOU DONT HAVE CAMERA TO PROOF YOUR INNOCENCE IS BAD. Guys wey Dey copy my post I appreciate you but kindly Dey share your experience too make other Dey learn. Give credits too I’m saintrow on FB nairaland is Ghost1994. I stop from here today God will continue to guide and protect us. |
@lush100 sorry about the accident bro. May almighty God protect you and your family sir |
BAZ001:Don’t give up yet. I’m the saintrow… many people on this platform are on Facebook. That’s why i wrote it earlier that newbies should source on Facebook because many people doesn’t know nairaland Uber/bolt exist. Are you okay now?

Raining season is here again. I’ll share my little experience. 1. Avoid alpha beach road patapata during heavy rain 2. Don’t ever try to enter down orchid road no. 3. Try as much as possible to let your pointers, wipers and your dim light working perfectly before jetting out. 4. Avoid places you don’t really know their flood level. 5. During the heavy rain, find somewhere safe to park if you’ve not gotten a trip yet park your car, relax for about 25-40 minutes after the rain Lagos gutters would’ve been cleared a bit to proceed for hustle. 6. Community road Akoka is a death trap. Keep that at the back of your map. 7. It’s a season to make money but then you have to apply wisdom because rider that’s paying x2 of the money would want you to satisfy them by dropping them at their doorstep. But if by the way(s) you suspect the area is prone to flood, sharply end the trip at the beginning of the street offer a rider 100-200naira for his/her bike/keke fare. 8. Try as much as possible to work within the Circe/areas you know too well. 9. Don’t do 80-100klm during heavy. Abeg if you don’t love yourself we do. Why? Brake doesn’t work well when it’s rainy just a simple logic. 10. Off your car ac when you sight heavy flood in a street or on any road. Why? Because most of our cars are above 10yrs ago and there are some components in which water must not get into on your compressor it’ll damage your compressor quickly. 11. Work smart. Yes work smart— don’t work late start early close early. Because you can’t know all the whole roads in Lagos no matter how many decades you’ve been driving on Lagos road. Working late sometimes is a death trap to damage your vehicle because so many bad potholes you might not be able to see are trap to damage your shocks, tyre etc. 12. If you miss your turn, maybe you didn’t calculate well or map malfunctioning, don’t ever bother to reverse never ever think of that. No matter how much rider pressurize you just be calm and let him or her know you’ll remove some money out of his/her bills for compensation. 200-500 naira is Better to let go than loosing your car to accident or road lions (Lastma/Taskforce) 13. Never drag road with trailer or tankers. Those people doesn’t see on a normal day not to talk of rainy days. Be wise don’t let rider sweet talk you to be saying they’re late blablabla you’re not the cause of their lateness. I’ll share my own work ethics - I work basically on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday it’s a rushing day. - I take Thursday off to relax and focus on my course - Friday yes and Saturday I start working around 2pm why? Well I feel like that’s when the people started rushing out. - I work on Sunday but I avoid island ajah,Lekki and the rest once it’s 1pm why? When you notice your app you’ll see it’ll all white once is getting to 2pm because riders don Dey house but on like mainland there are many churches. It’s a wisdom. - routes I avoid on week days are:- 1. Egbeda, Ikeja in the morning is dead, ikotun igando, ekoro road, command road, Iyana ipaja, aboru, lasu, okoko, festac, mile 2, oshodi, Ikorodu never, sangotedo hell no, I can only drop a worthy trip at the airport and jet out immediately I avoid siting and waiting for unrealistic trips in airport unless I’m lucky if I’m driving out and I get a trip. After Opic Berger I always avoid any trip going after Berger. How do I cancel? Bolt shows me where I’m going so whenever I’m sure the area is part of my listed dead zone, I click on arrived, passenger phone is not working or passenger ask me to cancel. It’s work like magic on iPhone but not with androids. It’s help me avoiding any conversations with rider. Note:- I accept every trips coming to my phone no matter how dead it is but I cancel once I feel is not safe for me and my car. I try as much as possible to select the trip(s) above 1500. How will you know a trip coming to your phone is more than 1500? Any trip be it surge or no surge above 8klm is practically more than 1,500. Note I don’t care how much you collect because of bonus but all I know is that the money is above 1500. I don’t rush myself any day anytime my target as a car owner per day is 5k for savings 3k to start hustle next day and 2k for feeding/dropping at home. Why 5k? It’s my logic and it’s been helping save maturely. I used to make x3-4 of my savings sometimes but then it’s just my saving culture I’ll still save all have made. I’ll just called it discipline. How did you manage cash savings? I store my cash savings somewhere in my living room where I don’t tell anyone and on Thursday Whenever I dropped my son in school, I head straight to bank and deposit to account I don’t have atm or internet banking. How did you manage your car(s) to serve you well? I avoid most Lagos mechanics 90%. Whatsoever happened to my car like for example let’s say shocks is bad, I will drive my car to market park and pay 5hundred naira I’ll go and get my new shocks, I know how much is leakage, shocks, brake pads, thyroids, fluid, bulbs etc. all I need is to change I don’t manage. What can make a car to last in these hustle? Cars are like human being, you have to maintain them. I Do a daily routine before I jet out in the morning because I’ll be off sometimes on 9-12 hours on wheel. I check everything I needed to check before jetting out. I make sure I avoid anything bad route. I don’t carry loads that doesn’t fit in my car trunk. My car is design to carry 4 and yes mini 4 not heavy make ups madams going to party and try to squeeze themselves in my mini sedan no! I don’t carry them I don’t want wahala. Also, anyday mechanic is fixing one thing or two in my car, I always make sure we do it together. I don’t supervise but we handle it together because mechanic are humans too they might forget to tighten 1 bolt which I’m not perfect either but 2-4 heads is better than 1. How do you manage a rider whose street is bad and you consider picking him/her? Well the logic i used is straightforward. Many of dead streets have alternative like bike and keke. I’ll put a call through:- Me: Sir/ma good morning this is the Uber ride you ordered Rider: Good morning I’ll be expecting you. M: sir/ma I’m sorry getting to the street now, my car has hit the ground severally it’s a low Corolla/Honda please I don’t mind since you don’t have load I’ll pay for your bike or marwa. Reasonable rider who value life and property will agreed and even said don’t worry just give me few mins. But i manage if it’s elderly person or rider mentions she’s pregnant I’ll go BUT if rider acting somehow I won’t go. How can someone makes more saving in this hustle? 1st is Gods grace, 2 is your car is your tools once she doesn’t give you any problem(s) you’ll make savings. Advice to newbie:- never allow rider to sweet talk you to drop him or her at unreasonable location. Avoid airport just drop off only. Never follow one way or brt lane even if you’re carrying buhari daughter, don’t try to reverse on the highway if you miss your way yes rider will shout but keep calm, make sure you confirm your credit alert before allowing rider off in your car, if you don’t have change offer to transfer airtime as their balance some will say yes and some will tell you to keep the change but remember it’s their money, use rider app to calculate the estimated price of the route you’re heading-it’ll help you determine if the route worth it coupled with the traffic, never fight physically with your rider some are walking ghosts, pay your commission once it’s getting above threshold, read signs, ask riders questions if the map is malfunctioning, join Facebook/WhatsApp/telegram groups to learn more about people’s day to day experiences. Last but first pray to God and follow your instincts. PLAN FOR FUTURE AND REMEMBER THE HUSTLE SHOULDNT BE FOR A VERY LONG TIME ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B. Bye for now God will continue to help us all Ghost1994 |
