FashionRe: Oluchi Onweagba Photo Shoot by gigitte(f): 11:03am On Mar 25, 2006
i dont see anyone hating on anyone on this thread, if some ppl choose to believe that nudity or near nudity is warranted only for truly artistic purposes (of which sports illustrated is not one) , pls respect their viewpoints grin and do not ask them to loosen up grin

but honestly in this shoot, she did not need to take off her top so why do it?
FashionRe: Would You Get A Tattoo? by gigitte(f): 10:59am On Mar 25, 2006

BusinessRe: Fruit Juice Packaging In Nigeria by gigitte(f): 10:56am On Mar 25, 2006
im pretty sure chivita has absolutely nothing to do with chiquita, is there any semblance of females on the packaginghuh i think not, it probably has to do with chi, the ibo chi? and vita for life. after all there are other chi things too like poultry i believe

sha sha about fruit juice packaging, does he want to package fruit juice or sell fruit juice, either way i believe there is market for both, but the market for packaging is desperate, lol, naija does not really know how to package anything. check out that naija five alive packaging, quelle horreur!

EducationRe: Why We Love Nigerian Boarding Schools by gigitte(f): 8:11am On Mar 13, 2006
lol i hated the f*ck out of pap and akara men, not because of the pap and akara itself, but b/c on saturdays they would mop the d-hall and it would be smelling eight different kinds of funky, and this mixed with the smell of pap and akara, hmm, i used to stab saturday breakfast like mad!

i miss my school so much, we've been thru so much sh*t, but we are stronger and closer b/c of that, i might actually go bk that there to teach chemistry when i graduate lol, jst because i know i can do it and i can convince other friends to do it too.

bullying wasnt a huge deal, it varied from house to house, the boys were defn worse off, food wasnt fine dining but i know it was better than almost all other schools lol, we couldnt have provisions, which is why to this day i dont eat when im hungry lol, and we had no school mother, school father ish, that is just iffy abeg

but alas, the prefects didnt really have any power
Nairaland GeneralRe: Abortion To Be Legalized by gigitte(f): 8:03am On Mar 13, 2006
i dunno oh, this is my thought for the moment
since at present, science has not proven beyond reasonable doubt that life begins at conception (pls ignore the fact that if you took many diabled ppl off their wheelchairs and what not, they would die, since we can see them their potential to live has more merit than someone who we cant see, abi?)
abortion then should then be kept legal i.e in america, (as for naija since it is illegal, it is illegal o pari!), and people should be given free will to choose, after all our father in heaven sees all, and besides isnt abortion illegal in nigeriahuh if my papa know your papa, ehen mo le se inu yen in his private hospital, and the thing is it is the people without money or education that will suffer, those are the ones that will be drinking blue, and using hanger and knitting pins and what not, while the ones with money, connects etc will jet out of the country or act out the above scenario

sha sha sex education is the way forward, a lot of ppl are cool with contraceptives, im really not, but that is by the way, so we should work towards lessening the need to have abortions, because the day we can prove life does indeed begin at conception, wahala don shele be that!

Christianity EtcRe: Do Catholics Believe in Being Born Again? by gigitte(f): 2:56am On Mar 06, 2006
@jclord, thanks for your pity, but you can have it back i dont need it

there are no altars to mary

saints are not restricted to dead priests or dead nuns, this smells like ignorance on your part to me

GOD! how many times will i say it, we DO not pray to mary, didnt you read what i wrote, please praying to someone and asking them to intercede for you are two different things, get it straight!

as for whatever you saw on tv or on billboards, your mind was probably clouded because you are adamant in believing this whole idea of praying to mary and the saints, and frankly that is your cup of tea, me too im tired of talking to someone who is obviously enmeshed in his/her own view of things, maybe you need my pity lol
Christianity EtcRe: Do Catholics Believe in Being Born Again? by gigitte(f): 9:30pm On Mar 05, 2006
@jclord

im sure you've heard it many times, we do NOT pray to mary and the saints, we ask them to intercede, which means to pray for us, and im sure you've heard the apologetics of this many many times so i wont rehash it, if you continue to believe that catholic church asks people to pray to mary and the saints, that is strictly your own cup of tea. just because some people attach more importance to intercessory prayer and veer dangerously close to actually praying to mary and the saints doesnt not mean that that is what the catholic church preaches.

you have no problem in asking your brothers and sisters to pray for you, but you have a problem with people in heaven doing the same, 'the mind boggles'

cheesy, why should jesus ask anyone to intercede for himhuh? he is the son of God so it doesnt really make any sense for him to do that, esp since he is one with God and the Holy Spirit as God and the Holy Spirit are one with him, for those of us not fortunate to be part of the trinity, we need all the help we can get

furthermore, the catholic church was indispensible in assembling that bible you hold so dear, not only that they also translated it and made sure it stayed in circulation. they could have made it say anything they wanted, so stop biting the hand that fed you, no one is asking you to agree with the church or join, just respect and leave well alone
Music/RadioName Of Ibo+Hausa+Yoruba Synergy Song With "Biko, Biko" by gigitte(op): 6:58am On Mar 05, 2006
don't know much about it, but i think its by a naija group called synergy, it is a love song and incorporates all ibo, hausa and yoruba, and in the video the woman says biko a lot, so biko does anyone know anything about the songhuh

also does anyone have the lyrics for that nigeria 99 song

thks!
Christianity EtcRe: Do Catholics Believe in Being Born Again? by gigitte(f): 5:27am On Mar 05, 2006
@jclord, err when did i say that you can take verses that you can interpret anything in the bible out of context
please quote me on this, if you can

by the way, don't people do that when they say women should not wear trousers to church (im not saying you said this oh) after all, who knows if the israelites in the days of leviticus wore trousers cheesy

which practices did i mention are against the teaching of christ and the ten commandments

again i said nothing about jehovah's witnesses and mormons, these peeps came long after the bible was established and after JC had been established as the last messenger from God. if the jehovah witnesses want to have their own bible, that is their cup of tea, after all don't you have your own bible?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Holiday Jobs: For Secondary School Leavers Or Undergraduates by gigitte(f): 8:41am On Mar 03, 2006
hmm, tough question, its near those luxurious buses offices and also near some african cathedral church, its also really close to the the mr biggs in that area i think. but those luxurious bus offices are like close to the main road (ikorodu road), you can get to it from yaba market, sha once you reach there, you can ask for directions. AHI is quite popular, i would advise you to go in the mornings, b/c lots of school kids are there in the afternoon. describe the position to the receptionist, should be a young person (no fear). describe the job and ask for details (theres more to it than i described) and then ask when vacancies will be posted, good luck!

BusinessRe: Bank Consolidation Fall-out by gigitte(f): 5:46am On Mar 03, 2006
@seun, let one small bird like that give you advice lol
remove your money and run from zenith
lol sorry it is not even zenith sef, its UTB but not only does zenith have crap customer service, they do small small shady things with your dough that if you dont look carefully, one day you will open mouth and say 'ewo'
as for UTB 'hiss' thieves (not a joke)

my own bad bank experience
so i went to national bank to withdraw some money after a long useless flight from abuja (it was not 55 minutes flight oh), when i got there, of course the maiguard (not security guard phliss, maiguard) was rude. i ignored him and went inside. after waiting for a bit, i decided to answer the call of nature. only to ask around and be told that the bathrooms for customers were outside the building (biko, this was not a branch, this was their headquarters on the island), fuming i went outside to look for said bathrooms (bathrooms say so much about an institution). the foolish maiguard accosted me again and i said i was looking for the bathrooms and the pointed me in the general direction of one dilapilated building. i thot to myself tufia! how can that be the bathroom? and so i went and tried one nice wooden door like that, but it was locked so i started knocking. one irate man stepped outside and lo and behold it was a boardroom, not a bathroom. hiss. the bathroom happened to be a stall of toilets with functional? doors, sha sha the doors were not closed and some men of the nigerian army were using them in my full view
that is how i would venture to use the toilets and be raped, and no one would hear b/c of the generator roaring in the bkground
my need to pee just disappeared, if not i would have demaned to use the bathroom their CEO uses, nonsense!

PoliticsRe: Niger Delta: What Is The Problem? by gigitte(f): 10:12pm On Mar 02, 2006
@slimnike
you are most welcome. please feel free to define natural resources anyway you want, but im sure you will agree with me that the most widely accepted definition of a natural resource is something that can be harnessed to produce useful consumable products, this is not say it has to be harnessed before it is labelled a natural resource in nigeria. oil was a natural resource long before it was discovered. true these things no longer contribute anything to the economy but it is because of a lack of resource management not resource availability which is the fault of the FG. perhaps you should have noted that they did not contribute anything rather than saying that they were not there

finally, i don't do 'aba'
