Federal government launches where to report sex for grade

The Federal government Competition and Consumer Protection Commission says it will begin collaborating with the Nigeria Police Force and the National Universities Commission to curb cases of sexual harassment in universities.

A statement by Mr Babatunde Irukera, the Chief Executive Officer of the commission in Abuja on Friday, said that FCCPC would also collaborate with the National Human Rights Commission and Civil Society Organisations.

He said the collaboration would be geared toward developing a robust mechanism to support prevention, retribution and accountability in universities.

“The Commission in furtherance of its mandate to protect consumers and in recognition of students as a vulnerable group of consumers receiving services from educational institutions is leading an effort to establish a framework to provide adequate protection and accountability.

“This is to address this obvious and inexcusable pattern that appears prevalent in schools.

“Others are the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports, Student Unions and other stakeholders,’’ he said.

Irukera disclosed that the commission would gather credible intelligence to assist school authorities to take decisive actions regarding sexual harassment, exploitation and other misconduct.

He urged citizens and students with credible information to send it to the commission’s dedicated email address: sexforgrades@fccpc.gov.ng

Food / Okro Soup: The Best Way To Consume It's Nutrients by gimmehear(f): 9:48pm On Oct 07, 2019
Okro soup:The best way to consume the nutrients.

Hey guys!!. let discuss about to get cook your okro soup in the best and healthy ways which makes it more beneficial.

Most plant food are great source of phytochemicals: Any chemical or nutrient derived from a plant source; a phytonutrient.

So one can say Okra is about 20% rich in Vitamin C, fiber and Vitamin K, and other nutrient, to be specific one can say raw okra contains the stated nutrients.

For some years, while I was still an undergraduate, all I have ever wanted to teach people is How To eat the main nutrient in food they consume, the right cooking method, the right proportions of food… I believe if we get this right then the need for drugs will reduce.

Vitamin C as we all know helps in prevention of scurvy, heal wounds on time, while Vitamin K that are needed for blood coagulation or for controlling binding of calcium in bones and other tissues.

Dietary fiber (British spelling fibre) or roughage is the portion of plant-derived food that cannot be completely broken down by human digestive enzymes
While I would have suggested the consumption of okro soup raw: I will love to say the presence of fiber which can be either soluble or insoluble is the reason why okro needs to be cooked.

How to cook Okro to get the right nutrient.
I have seen most cooking method on YouTube, home cooking and I will love to say the best way to cook your okro is by conserving your vitamins which is essential to your health.

Cook your Okro soup within just two minutes, after cooking or taste while cooking, you should be able to feel the rawness or hardness(Vitamin C) is not heat stable, which means most or all nutrient of the Vitamin can be lost during too much period of cooking.

While the breaking down of dietary fiber during this minutes of cooking will be efficient.

Raw okra is 90% water, 2% protein, 7% carbohydrates and negligible in fat. In a 100 gram amount, raw okra is rich (20% or more of the Daily Value, DV) in dietary fiber, vitamin C and vitamin K, with moderate contents of thiamin, folate and magnesium

Young okra leaves may be cooked in a similar way to the greens of beets or dandelions. The leaves are also eaten

raw in salads. Okra seeds may be roasted and ground to form a caffeine-free substitute for coffee.

In order to preserve the nutrients in okro, the cooking method and time should be checked.
Okro soup

If you are using high temperature, it should be 3minites maximum, and if you are using low temperature tools( cooking utensil that can be controlled) then you can try to about 4minutes maximum.
And you can also incorporate vegetables to improve it’s nutrients, but to be sincere I actually think there is no need for these except if the you’re adding bitter leaf to your Okro soup

I will be discussing food to incorporate bitter leaf with in my next post.

Central Bank of Nigeria has now started that people who get duped by online scammers can get their money back, but this can only be possible if the money is paid into any bank account of any bank.

You can get your money back from online fraudsters (If you can follow through).

The bank will investigate, prosecute and reverse such dubious transactions even though the scammer has withdrawn the money.

Say you use UBA and you paid money into your instagram seller’s(scammer) Zenith account, you can simply send a mail to frauddesk@zenithbank.com.

Make sure you copy the CBN at
cpd@cbn.gov.ng (This puts the banks on their toes).

All these applies to every bank in Nigeria.

The banks should block such a suspicious account IMMEDIATELY a complaint is received via the fraud desk.

Crime / Meet The Lady Who Give Bloggers Fake Job To Rob Them Of Gadgets And Money by gimmehear(f): 6:56pm On Oct 04, 2019
“She claims to own hypemamamedia.com.ng, says she’s into a lot of online and offline promotion plus others I don’t know but don’t work directly! She acts as the third party, something – like a link connecting buyers and sellers. So, what she does is, she will act as if she delivers several services, when you want to order for one, she will contact the person who does that and get her own cut! That’s according to what she explained to me.

She contacted me asking me if I Influence Brand social medias and promote artists? Since that’s what I do, I told her yes! Then she said she has a client who’s willing to learn how to manage Instagram since he’s an artist, he’s gonna promote some his songs with me. We discussed the business and prices for them, after all the discussion was concluded, she said she was gonna get back to me in the evening!

Contacted me as promised and said the Client who happens to be a male wants to work face to face not online transaction to avoid being scam, asked me where I stay that we could hangout in one bar or safer place to transact the business and she was gonna come with the client since he’s the one who needs the services. From that day, the called client would contact me, and she does contact me to keep me updated! We fixed a date to meet.

How They Operate!

She will ask you to come with your working tools that the client would wanna see you do all those things in his presence, things like laptop, phone or anything. She will persuade you telling you that you have to do all in their presence that she’s been duped even after meeting the person, she said the person (the supposed person who duped her) claims he was gonna take their file home and work on it but ended up scamming them. So she will use that format to make sure you bring your tools along which I fell for.

So we met in a bar, I took along my laptop and phone which I use in processing online promotion. While we were discussing sitting on the chair in the bar, I drop my phone and laptop which was inside my bag on the table, she used a particular format like, Please can we talk in private making you feel she don’t want the client to be aware of her discussion, she will take you to a private place where you cannot longer see the supposed client again, taking only my phone which was on the table along and leaving my laptop inside bag on the table trusting the client was going to protect it.

She discussed about the price with me and her cut and asked me to wait that she want to call the client down there so that he can come and hear what you have discussed. She persuaded me to wait there while she go and have a private conversation with her client, which I waited for about 10-30mins without seeing them, I had to rush down to check them, behold they were gone with my laptop bag and the laptop inside!

I asked the barman, he saw the guy waiting at the gate for the girl, immediately she came out, they left together! Woaw, my laptop was gone. Nobody to tell. I tried calling her but her number wasn’t going through.

Whatsapp her and tried all my best to get to her all to avail. So, immediately I reach home that Sunday, which is today, I opened my Facebook to type the scam alert, behold she had posted my picture with scam alert, telling people I dupe her of ₦5,000! Jeez, perfectly drafted scam format. People were starting to message me to return her money and all that, some said they knew I wouldn’t do it and I even received some friend requests from people who happen to have her as friend on Facebook which I didn’t accept any!”

The tech giant said it removed a total of 443 Facebook and 125 Instagram, as well as 200 pages and 76 groups originating in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Nigeria and Indonesia.

In a blog post Thursday, Facebook said that one of the operations was sharing local news in targeted countries and promoting content about UAE as well as criticism of Qatar, Turkey and Iran.

The fake accounts “typically posted about domestic news and political topics including content in support of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

The fake account also made criticism of Qatar, Iran, and Turkey; and Yemen’s southern separatist movement.”

Over 7 million accounts followed one or more of the pages and some 3,000 accounts joined at least one of the groups.

Politics / Gen. Akinrinade : Why Obasanjo Should Put A Stop To His Public Writing by gimmehear(f): 4:17pm On Oct 03, 2019
Former Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Alani Akinrinade has advised his former boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, to desist from public letter-writing, in a bid to make a point, which is his fundamental right.

Gen. Akinrinade, a hero of the civil war when Obasanjo was the Commander of the Third Marine Commando, said since his former boss has unfettered access to those in power, letter-writing may not be a good option.

Gen. Akinrinade who worked with Obasanjo during the civil war also said whenever Obasanjo wrote his letters to the president, what came to his mind was how he handled similar matters when he was in the saddle.

While acknowledging Obasanjo’s role in history, Akinrinade said statesmen should consult with those in power and offer constructive criticisms, instead of going to the public.

The former Army chief spoke with reporters in Lagos, ahead of his 80th birthday holding in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Akinrinade said:” If in an opportunity to advise him, I will say he should not write letters again. Each time he writes a letter, the question I ask is: when he was there, how did he do it? He should not write letters again. He has access to them and he can give his advice, instead of writing.”

The retired soldier lamented the pollution of the military by acts inimical to professionalism.

He said there was no discipline in the Armed Forces, adding that soldiers had been misused for businesses they were not trained for.

Akinrinade urged Nigerians to stand for unity, saying that the country could be better.

He, however, said the conditions for unity and harmony should not be ignored.

Noting that Nigeria is a highly heterogeneous country, he said the basis for peaceful coexistence should be mutually worked out.

Akinrinade frowned at the neglect of the 2014 National Conference report by the Buhari administration.

He said it was curious that the administration that had ignored the report later set up an intra-party committee to discuss the possibility of true federalism.

He said restructuring cannot be compromised again, stressing that it is the key to the resolution of the national question.

Akinrinade, who assessed the 20 years of stable civil rule, said it could have been better.

He said:” We have not found exactly the formula. My assessment is that we have done very poorly. We could do much better.”

Celebrities / Beyonce's Dad Diagnosed With Breast Cancer by gimmehear(f): 4:35pm On Oct 02, 2019
Beyoncé’s dad, Mathew Knowles, diagnosed with breast cancer
Published

American megastar Beyoncé’s dad, Mr. Mathew Knowles, has revealed his battle with breast cancer.

Mathew Knowles
He disclosed his health crisis during a live radio programme on Wednesday.

According to America-based National Breast Cancer Foundation, although rare, men also develop breast cancer.

“The lifetime risk for U.S. men is about 1 in 1,000.

“An estimated 2,670 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year in the United States and approximately 500 will die,” NBCF declared.

Less than 1 percent of all breast cancer cases involve men. However, it’s most frequently diagnosed in men between the ages of 60 and 70.

The NBCF warns that the mortality rate for men is higher than it is for females.

Beyoncé’s dad, who is 67 years old, noted that early detection helped him in managing the life-threatening disease.

Mr. Knowles said he had noticed blood stains that always appeared as a red dot on his shirt and bedspreads, noting that the subsequent concerns made him go for a mammogram.

“The mammogram revealed that I have breast cancer,” he said.

After informing his adult daughters, Beyoncé and Solange, they both got tested also.

He said he has since been on treatment, while also advising men to be more vigilant about their health.

Education / UNN: 50-Year-Old Chimpanzee Dies In University Of Nigeria Nsukka Zoo by gimmehear(f): 4:20pm On Oct 02, 2019
The only surviving Chimpanzee, 50 years old, in the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Zoo has died, Prof Chris Okoye, Head of Department, Zoology and Environmental Studies, has announced.

Okoye told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Nsukka on Wednesday, that the male Chimpanzee which died fortnight ago had been embalmed.

According to him, staff and students of the department feel bad that the only surviving chimpanzee in the zoo has died, though as a result of old age.

“As the tradition of the department, the chimpanzee has been embalmed and deposited in the department’s Museum for practical and for people on excursion to the museum to see.

“We do not eat or bury animals in our zoo when they die, rather we embalm and keep them in the museum,” he said.

The HOD said that the female chimpanzee, usually referred as the wife of this chimpanzee, died five years ago and since then the male chimpanzee had been lonely.

“Efforts to replace the female chimpanzee as well as some other animals that died in the zoo hit ‘brick-wall’ due to lack of fund,” he said.

On why zoos were gradually becoming extinct in the country, the HOD attributed it to low yielding revenue from zoos and very capital intensive to run and maintain.

“It costs huge amount of money to buy animals like chimpanzees, lions, and elephants as well as to feed them.

“The N50 or N100 collected at the gate from visitors as ticket is not even enough to feed these animals not to talk of maintaining them or getting a replacement when any of them dies.

“That may be the reason many people do not venture into zoo business because they know there is no profit in it; it is just for fun and sight-seeing.

He however said, zoo was very important as it provided protection for endangered species of animals as well as served as a place for people to get connected to nature.

“Zoos play important roles in wildlife conservation, research and education.

“Both federal and state governments should do something urgently to improve funding of zoos in the country else, in the next 10 years, zoos may completely go into extinction,” he said.

Politics / Bayelsa Speaker Removed For Causing Commotion And Terror In Assembly by gimmehear(f): 6:33pm On Oct 01, 2019
There were gunshots on Monday at the Bayelsa State House of Assembly in the battle between supporters of Tonye Isenah and Monday Obolo who both claimed to be Bayelsa speaker of the Assembly.

It could not be ascertained last night who started the use of the weapon among the rival politicians in the Assembly.

But the mace, the Assembly’s symbol of authority, was reportedly snatched away by unknown persons.

The battle followed the alleged refusal of Speaker Tonye Isenah to resign from his position.

It was learnt that Isenah had been asked to step aside to enable the governorship candidate of the PDP in the November 16 election, Douye Diri, win the poll.

The arrangement, it was learnt, was due to the fact that Isenah and Diri are from the same local government.

But Isenah remained on the seat during yesterday’s plenary, after allegedly hinting that he would resign for a lawmaker from another local government area.

Isenah’s colleagues were said to be in shock by his action.

The Speaker adjourned indefinitely and asked fellow lawmakers to proceed on a recess.

Shortly after the adjournment, the gun battle started, leading to the violent removal of the mace from the Assembly.

While some sources said the Bayelsa Speaker left with the mace, others said suspected thugs stole it.

Isenah was said to have left the Assembly complex with four All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers and a PDP lawmaker, Bonny-Ayah, representing Southern Ijaw Constituency I.

The other lawmakers, led by Deputy Speaker Abraham Ngobere (Brass Constituency III), reconvened the Assembly and ordered reporters out.

It was learnt that another mace was brought into the Assembly to move for Isenah’s impeachment.

Bernard Kenebai (Sagbama II) moved the motion and was supported by unanimous voice votes. Oboku Oforji (Yenagoa Constituency 1) moved for the nomination of Monday Obolo as Speaker and he was seconded by Naomi Igoli of Ogbia Constituency III.

But Isenah dismissed the lawmakers’ actions, describing it as illegal.

He insisted that he remained the authentic Speaker.

He said: “I went to the House this morning and presided over plenary. Since the beginning of the sixth Assembly, all other Houses of Assemblies have gone on recess, even the National Assembly, but we have not gone. We have been working since and we are tired. So, today (yesterday), I adjourned the House indefinitely.

“If the House has been adjourned indefinitely, nothing can be done that would hold ground again. I presided over the House as the authentic Speaker and adjourned indefinitely…”

But Obolo, who was elected Speaker in the controversial circumstances, denied the alleged disappearance of the mace.

He said: “The House of Assembly is a united family. It is an honour to have been elected to lead the Sixth Assembly. We are meant to debate and 18 members elected me. Bayelsans should expect the dividends of democracy.”

Governor Seriake Dickson, the state chapter of the PDP and the party’s youths have congratulated Obolo.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Fidelis Soriwei, the governor described Obolo as a promising, young and vibrant political leader with the capacity to carry out the sensitive responsibility of presiding over legislative arm of government.

The youths praised the lawmakers for installing the new Bayelsa speaker.

Wilfred Ndidi’s performance and goal against Newcastle United on Sunday has raised online comparisons between the player and former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi on who the better midfielder is in their prime.

A cross-section of Twitter users had declared that Ndidi’s exploits since joining Leicester City has shown that he is way better than the former Chelsea man.

Ndidi was voted Man of The Match in the 5-0 win over Newcastle.

Mikel played for Chelsea between 2006 and 2017, winning several laurels with the English club.

King Nomso tweeted, “Mikel was the second best player in the world at the under-20 level in 2005, he had Manchester United and Chelsea on strings for his signature, changed from an attacking midfielder to a defensive midfielder and still played well while winning EPL’s and the champions league for Chelsea and winning the Nations Cup for Nigeria. You can praise Ndidi but don’t disrespect Mikel.”

Ephraim Onos wrote, “Mikel survived a midfield competition of Ballack, Deco, Lampard, Essien, Makalele, Won EPL, FA Cup, Carling Cup, UCL and AFCON. He may not be your favourite player but don’t disrespect this man.”

Ogbuefi Okafor in his defence of Mikel as a better player wrote, “You guys are disrespectful to say the least by comparing Ndidi to Mikel because of one good game. Some are talking about stats. How many career assist does Paul Scholes, who was considered a world class during his day have? You all should put some respect on Mikel’s name.”

This was followed by a number of tweets from all footballs fan across the world who felt Mikel might be working on dead glory as of his achievements from the past, which of course there were other fans who definitely felt the comparison was out of proportion and insulting to the formal Chelsea football player and star.

Crime / Meet The Fraudulent Nigerian Forbes Billionaires . by gimmehear(f): 12:15pm On Oct 01, 2019
THE FRAUDULENT NIGERIAN FORBES BILLIONAIRES.
FADAKA LOUIS by FADAKA LOUIS
The fraudulent Nigerian Forbes billionaires are Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola, who also happen to be the largest economic saboteurs of the Nigerian economy.

It is an irony that these two billionaires who always struggle to be on the Forbes list of richest billionaires year after year, who strive to be the most celebrated Nigerian businessmen, are the most fraudulent, vicious and bigget economic saboteurs of the Nigerian economy.

President Buhari’s investigative searchlight should be directed at these two businessmen, the duo that are bleeding Nigeria’s economy dry.

The Genesis

Aliko Dangote used to be known as Aliko Gote, or “Aliko powder”. His mother was a daughter of the famously wealthy Kano merchant Dantata. His father was Alhaji Gote. He seems to have started off as a dealer in powder before suddenly moving to America. As a young dealer, he had sports cars, lived in an expensive house and lots of cash. His import-export business seems to have revolved between Brazil and the United States.
However, his ostentatious lifestyle soon caught the eyes of the American authorities — he received information that there was an interception of his consignment — so he blamed it on his junior brother Sani Gote and fled back to Nigeria.

Femi Otedola at this time was a notorious loan shark and gambler based in Surulere Lagos who started life in business by lending money at interest rates of 20–30 percent per month, knowing that debtors could never repay him. He would then confiscate and sell their collaterals at a premium.

Femi’s classmates from secondary school had all entered university, were working or had started some form of legitimate business, but Femi chose the ways of Shylock, extorting astronomous interest rates from victims and quickly moving on to sell their collaterals at the slightest delay, causing misery and financial damage to so many victims.

Their first billions

Aliko Gote, now living in Nigeria and running away from the laws of America, ran back to Nigeria and changed his name to Alhaji Aliko Dangote, adding the title Alhaji and adding Dan to Gote like his cousins, the Dantatas.

Femi Otedola, who seemed to have joined the Ogboni cult, now started wearing only white clothes and ran back to his father for cover, as many whose lives were ruined from his loan shark business were now after him.

In 1999, the Nigerian military handed over power to former General Olusegun Obasanjo, who had just emerged from prison. This moment became the duo’s golden moment. They became so close to Obasanjo that they became like his sons. A pact was reached between the three gladiators, to control the commodity business of Nigeria, and Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola became Obasanjo’s fronts for this purpose. Aliko Dangote was to control cement, sugar, salt and rice, while Femi Otedola was to control the importation of refined petroleum products.

To make this arrangement into a cash machine for the three, the four Nigerian refineries that had a capacity of 445,000 barrels a day were totally neglected and left to rot. The power sector was purposely neglected so that 180 Nigerians would have to keep buying petrol and diesel to power their generators.

Enter the Nigerian Customs and Waivers

The duo of Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola now put the top of the customs in their pockets. Moreover, presidential orders from above now stated that that the pair’s vessels should receive preferential treatment in docking and discharging goods while competitors’ vessels were to be delayed until any profits of the latter group were wiped out.

The next important instrument they used was pioneer tax status, whereby the duo were given tax-free status for so many years. During the same period, competitors’ applications were flatly rejected. The third advantage they got was the privatisation of state assets, which were sold to them at approximately 10 cents to the dollar. Aliko Dangote acquired Benue State Cement, Terminals, Nigerian Textiles, Nigerian Salt Company, a state-owned sugar company, Oshogbo Steel Mill and the NEPA fiber-optic transmission network. Femi Otedola acquired African Petroleum.

The duo then claimed to turn around these assets, but they did nothing other than call in auditors to ascertain the real value of these assets before calling Forbes to debut as the first Nigerian billionaires to grace the magazine’s rich list.

However, Aliko Dangote was one step ahead and moved to become the African king of waivers and duties. Nobody in African history has been given more waivers than Aliko Dangote and the single act of not paying custom duties made him not only the richest Nigerian but the riches African. Some conservative estimates put the custom import duties that were waived for Aliko Dangote at between $12–15 billion since 1999. There are cries of millions of Nigerians that Aliko Dangote should be made to return this money, as it is one of the biggest cases of corporate fraud in Nigeria and Africa.

President Buhari will need to open a special investigative panel to scrutinize Aliko Dangote’s businesses, as Nigeria can recover between $12 and $15 billion of waivers and unpaid taxes from this man alone.

One of President Obasanjo’s last acts of office of was to sell Nigeria’s largest refinery to the duo of Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola for $761 million, approximately 10% of its real value. One of President Yar’Adua’s first acts of office was to cancel this fraudulent deal.

Upon learning the facts of the case, President Yar’Adua was reportedly filled with rage. Not only were the duo the biggest economic saboteurs in Nigeria, but they were paying PR consultants to build their image as intelligent and progressive businessmen in the Western media. Yar’Adua used the economic intelligence reports at hand to reverse many illegalities. He found out that Dangote had a monopoly in cement, sugar and pasta, claiming to be producing all these commodities locally, when, in reality, he was importing everything, fraudulently collecting import duty waivers and simply re-bagging the goods. At this point, President Yar’Adua lost any respect he had for Dangote.

The economic intelligence reports also showed how Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote crushed their competitors by illegally using government agents to shut down the latter’s operations. They pressured banks to call in their competitors’ loans, used customs to delay the competitors’ consignments, underpay for state assets, avoided paying duties and taxes through their “pioneer” tax status, and even created their own “anti-corruption unit” to lock up business foes and friends who had fallen out of their favour.

The wickidness of this duo knew no limits and every real or perceived competitor was to be liquidated, their businesses shut down, thousands of workers were to lose their jobs and all the while Dangote and Otedola avoided paying billions of dollars worth of taxes and import duties.

The quarrel between the duo

President Obasanjo asked the duo to help raise money for elections and a deal was struck. The government’s oil earmarked for Nigerian industry was delivered to the oligarchs at extremely cheap rates and then sold at the prevailing world market price. Three million metric tons of fuel was sold to the duo at $59 and sold at $350. The duo thus made a profit of $299/mt or $873,000,000. Needless to say, Nigerian industry never received the cheap fuel that the government promised them and the state was robbed of $873 million.

Aliko Dangote did not have a house in Abuja and was found sleeping in Femi Otedola’s residence. His passion was sleeping with other people’s wives but, unknown to him, Femi’s passion was to secretly videotape others and use these tapes at the right time to blackmail his victims.

However, Aliko did not trust Femi and requested that their illegal profit of $873 million be paid to his younger brother, Sayyu Dantata’s, account. The money was paid into MRS account of BNP Paribas.

Femi now wanted some gas stations of his own and told Aliko Dangote that Chevron was planning to sell its gas stations in West Africa, under the Texaco banner, and that he would bid $200 million for the assets.

Aliko then instructed his younger brother to overbid for the gas stations, using up the entire $873million plus taking out a loan to make it look as if he had borrowed the money, but secretly splitting the proceeds of the sale with the sellers in an illegal kickbacks scheme.

Femi Otedola was outfoxed by Aliko Dangote and Femi went mad. The quarrel became one of the nastiest in Nigeria. Rarely had so much dirty linen been washed in public, forcing well-meaning Nigerians to intervene between the two as marriages were breaking up due to the revelations and circulations of video tapes of whose wives they were sleeping with.

In the Wilderness

These were the facts observed by President Yar’Adua, which led him to immediately cancel many of the illegalities, such as the purchase of the refinery, reopening competitors’ factories, issuing import licenses to others and ordering an investigation into how many billions the duo owed in unpaid taxes and duties.

In addition to this, the duo was found to be Nigeria’s biggest debtors, owing banks billiosn of dollars. As Aliko Dangote did not want to pay the banks back, he pushed the business on his brother Sani Dangote, who took the heat for defaults (e.g. Dansa Juice).

Femi Otedola became the biggest defaulter of loans in Nigeria and his loans were passed on to AMCON as he could not repay back his loans. It was no longer business as usual for the former loan shark.

Femi rebranded his company from ZENON to FORTE OIL and went public, whilst Aliko Dangote also listed and went public. PR experts were hired to rewrite their stories and make them look good. In the stories, they were made to look like Western billionaires but, in reality, they were sinking in debt as they no longer had the ear of the President. Worse, the president was preparing to reveal to Nigerians that the two were the countries’ biggest economic enemies.

Crime / Court Grants Two Men Bail For Raping 17year-old Girl by gimmehear(f): 9:29am On Sep 30, 2019
A Gombe Area Court has granted an alleged rapist, Ibrahim Yunusa, and his son, Yusuf, bail after they were both arraigned for defiling a 17-year-old girl, who is the biological daughter and sister of the accused persons, respectively.

The teenage victim told the court that Ibrahim, who is her father, and Yusuf, her brother, were responsible for her eight-month-old pregnancy.

Justice Garba Dule of the Bolari Area Court granted the defendants bail while granting the prosecution leave to transfer the case to the state attorney general’s office for legal advice.

He ordered the defendants to return to court on October 10, 2019, when the matter was expected to be considered.

The victim had accused her father and brother of sexually violating her on several occasions, which she said led to her pregnancy.

The two accused persons reside in Dadin Kowa in the Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area of the state.

The vicitm told the court that Yusuf started the incestuous affair with her before their father joined.

According to her, her brother often sneaked into her room at night to force himself on her.

She explained that she summoned the courage to report the matter to their father, who instead of cautioning Yusuf, joined in the act after threatening to disown her if the affair was made public.

“Whenever I attempted to resist my father, he threatened to disown me. I decided to report the two of them to human right activists when I became pregnant and both of them denied responsibility,” the victim told the court.

When asked to respond, Yunusa denied the allegation, saying, “A certain cab man once had an affair with my daughter and as such, he should be held responsible for the pregnancy.”

Yunusa, however, confirmed that his daughter once told him that her brother was sneaking into her room to sleep with her, adding that he gave his ex-wife, who is the victim’s mother, money to abort the pregnancy.

In his submission before the court, the counsel for the complainant, Yakubu Ahmed, argued that the court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the matter and therefore applied for the transfer of the case to the office of the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice for reassignment.

THE CONSPIRACY BEWEEN GEJ, 3 GOVERNORS AND BOKO HARAM
by Temi Badmus September 16, 2019

The real reason why the former president, Goodluck Jonathan, declared a state of emergency in the three northern states of Adamawa, Yobe and Borno State without removing the governors and the local government chairman has now been made public by the former Attorney General, Mohammed Adoke.

It will be recalled that in the wake of escalating attacks by the Boko Haram insurgents, former President Jonathan on May 13, 2013, slammed a state of emergency in some selected local government areas of the three states but left the governors and local government officials intact, triggering criticism from his party members.

However, while the Peoples Democratic Party saw the declaration of the state of emergency as a window by the presidency to remove the three sitting APC governors, President Jonathan rebuffed them and insisted that it would amount to illegality to remove the affected governors from office as a result of the emergency declaration.

The former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, revealed the development in his new book – Burden of Service: Reminiscences of Nigeria’s former Attorney General.

According to Adoke, Jonathan’s refusal to deploy the emergency rule declaration to oust the three opposition governors from office was widely criticized by top government functionaries, including ministers and PDP supporters.

The ex-AGF said that he advised Jonathan against the sacking of the three governors since according to him, there is no law in Nigeria that supports such action by the president.

Adoke said: “President Jonathan came under criticism from commentators who felt he should have removed the local government chairman as well as the governors in the affected states. The opportunity for Jonathan’s foes to describe him as a weak leader emerged yet again.

“Historically, the state of emergency was employed more as a political weapon to settle scores with opposing forces, not necessarily to address issues of actual or imminent threat to security. Nigerians were more familiar with that nefarious employment of the provision. The fact that governors in Nigeria cannot be held responsible for any breakdown of law and order is not lost on these critics.

“Governors are the Chief Security Officers of their states only in name; they do not have the requisite constitutional power of control over the security agencies. Removing them during emergency, to my mind, was simply illogical,” Adoke said in the book.

The former minister said that those who disagreed with Jonathan expected him to emulate the wrong example set by former president Obasanjo who used an emergency declaration to sack several governors who had political differences with him.

Adoke said: While the 1961 State of Emergency Act allowed for the removal of Premiers, the 1979 Constitution and subsequently, the 1999 Constitution, spelt out how to declare a state of emergency. The removal of a governor is definitely not included in the provisions.

“Obasanjo, still thinking state of emergency could rightly be used politically and illegally the way he had applied it during his tenure, tried to mount some pressure on President Jonathan in his early days in office in 2010 to apply it to the crisis in Ogun State, his home state.

“In that case, the Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, had fallen out of with Obasanjo over who would control the state executive of the PDP ahead of the 2011 elections. The House of Assembly had also been divided, so Otunba Daniel could not function effectively, especially regarding getting the approval necessary for the N100 billion bond he wanted to get from the capital market.

Obasanjo tried to exert a lot of pressure on Jonathan, urging him to declare a state of emergency. He wanted Jonathan to suspend Daniel and appoint an administrator to return things to normalcy.

“Since we had successfully warded off the use of state of emergency as a political tool in Ogun case, it was not too difficult applying the same principles to other suggestions from the marauding hawks. There was still a big battle ahead, nevertheless.

“As the Boko Haram insurgency continued unabated in the North-East, the hawks told President Jonathan that the state of emergency, declared by him in May 2013 and renewed in November of the same year was not effective because the governors of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe were not removed. Ironically, the three governors were all of the APC, the leading opposition party.

The potential political gain was glaring. The hawks piled pressure on the President to extend the state of emergency by another six months and remove the three governors. This would take us into 2014 when the politicking for the 2015 general election would be in top gear.

“Two ministers even drafted a declaration of emergency speech and took it to the president. They named three retired Generals to be appointed as Administrators of the three states.

“President Jonathan then decided to ask me to make a presentation to the Federal Executive Council on my position, apparently because he did not want to do anything illegal.

“When I got to Council, I marshalled my argument that removing a governor was not part of the constitutional provisions in declaring a state of emergency and I told them declaring an emergency was constitutional, a shared responsibility between the President and the National Assembly, with the legislature having a superior dominion.

“A heated debate broke out. Two ministers, one of them a lawyer that never practised and the other, a full-time politician, stood up to me and started an unnecessary argument, insisting the President can do and undo. The President had to call the house to order as emotions ran high.

“In the end, President Jonathan decided that he would not violate the Constitution and did not extend the emergency and did not remove the three governors,” Adoke stated.

Crime / Kidnapper: I Have Kidnnaped About 50,killed About 10 On Abuja-kaduna Highway by gimmehear(f): 11:53am On Sep 13, 2019
An alleged kidnap kingpin, Bello Abdul, 40, alias Yellow, has confessed to murdering over ten persons and abducting more than 50 victims on the notorious Abuja-Kaduna highway.

He spoke after he was arrested on Tuesday evening by operatives of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

Yellow was arrested at his hideout in Niger State by detectives, who have been on his trail following allegations of operating an armed robbery, cattle rustling and kidnapping syndicate that spanned across Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

It was gathered that his gangs, which had mainly young boys were responsible for over 150 kidnappings and several murders along the Abuja-Kaduna highways and Kajuru.

A source, who hinted on the arrest, told newsmen that seven AK47 rifles were recovered from Yellow, adding that the suspect had countless others yet to be retrieved.

He said: “He confessed that he used to buy the AK47A rifles at N50,000 each and he has so many of them. So far, we have recovered seven from him. He used to buy ammunition in containers.

“This man is a dangerous suspect. He has been on the wanted list for a long time and we have been trailing him. Each time he was located in an area, he would run to another location. He controls so many gangs and his network goes as far as Zamfara and Katsina. But finally he has been caught.”

In a video where Yellow was being questioned by IRT operatives, the suspect confessed to have killed over 10 people and kidnapped more than 50.
The suspect who spoke Hausa said: “Yes I am married with five children. I was in Niger State. I was in Kajuru before but I moved to Niger in Iyamadamakwa. I live in Kara.

“Since I relocated to the village, I have been calm. I was into armed robbery and kidnapping. I have kidnapped about 50 times. I have collected N3m like six times. I have collected N10m, N17m, and N19m from different places.

“I operate along Abuja-Kaduna road. I use small boys and those from my village in Maidaro. My boys are in Katsina and Zamfara. They are in nine places.

“I used AK47 rifles and I bought them N50,000 each from one Yaro Alhaji at Kajori. I buy like a container of ammunition. A single ammunition is N1,000.

“I have killed like 10 people. I killed one because the family insulted me on phone when I called them. Others were killed because their families did not pay ransom. I have rustled about 200 cows.

“I did all these things before but I have stopped them now. I have calmed down. If I call my brother Alhaji Abu, he will bring those weapons I used for kidnapping.”

Politics / Bayelsa Cut Goodluck Jonathan Off Her Capital City by gimmehear(f): 4:05pm On Sep 06, 2019
A 33-year-old Elebele community bridge in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, Thursday, collapsed, cutting off the community of Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s from the capital city.

It was gathered that the bridge was built by Shell in 1986 but partly collapsed in 1996 and was rebuilt in 1997 and has finally cut major communities apart.

The incident, which reportedly happened Wednesday afternoon when a trailer load of 30 tonnes of chippings was crossing to the neighouring community caused pandemonium in Elebele community.

Commuters and residents who spoke with newsmen, pleaded for government’s quick interventions to enable them travel safe.

The locals resorted to canoe to help them cross to the adjourning communities, while vehicular movement was permanently halted.

One of the residents, Mr. Jerry Azibapu, lamented that “The mighty and high use this road to their various homes and communities but they neglected this bridge, it has served them right. This bridge links the capital city Yenagoa, with three LGA of this state but they neglected us, we have Ogbia, Nembe and Brass LGA tied to Yenagoa but the bridge is broken”

How do we cross to the other communities and back safe, if we have to turn round the fare will be high, that road also has a terrible bridge, but we also have oil companies exploiting from the area but we are suffering terribly”

The multi-nationals, government and other good Bayelsans should assist us in building back the bridge so we have free access to Yenagoa. Even commuters will suffer and waste more time.

Heavy duty trucks pass here every day in their numbers but now that it is broken let us see how they will pass. Sometimes we tell them but nobody will respond.

How Xenophobia in South Africa will End – Snake Terrorism

I have read the best stories and try to connect the dots and I can only conclude that Xenophobia on Nigerians is a ”Terrorist Attack” orchestrated by South African leaders under a snake guise and the end will not be funny – much worst than Boko-haram.

Image result for boko haram
When Boko Haram ‘blinked’ in Nigeria, their excuse was simply that they hate ”Western Education” – only a block brain will hate educaion, especially the best form of it but as time goes on, we all know that was a blatant lie to a major goal as they themselves have been considered one of the most brilliant persons in Nigeria – a dumb-ass cannot be a member, there is always a form of education or the other, which of course is western.

When the first case of Xenophobic attack of South Africans on Nigerians came to light, their excuses were that :

1. Nigerian men were taking their women and

2. Nigerians were taking their jobs (the recent statistics is 85 per cent).

Must Know:

1. South-Africans are not lazy people just like Nigerians.

2. South-Africans are very friendly people, just like Nigerians (reason why you have many Nigerians there and vise-versa)

3. South-Africans are one of the most creative, dogged and successful Africans.

So, why this lie above –

1. there is either a set of lazy people in government who wants what Nigerians have at all cost and refuse to work for it,

2. there maybe Nigerians there who have taken their pomposity abroad making some ‘soft-hearts’ angry.

Any which way, it will not end well.

How It Will End.

Nigerians have been swallowing these killings for a long time simply because they are battling – Boko-Haram, Fulani Herdsmen, Miyetti Allah nonsense, Biafra, Odudua Section, Yahoo Boys and so many other drama but these last straws have made them ‘pick stones’.

As I type, major companies or establishments owned by South-Africans are being attacked and this is how it starts. If these selfish persons fueling this attacks on Nigerians, it might also lead to South-Africans not walking freely in Nigeria.

As sweet as this ”we go do our own back” is, the irony is, Nigerians will be giving these ‘Snake Terrorists’ what they’ve been craving for – the ultimate goal. What they really hope to achieve is not known.

Solution

1. The Nigerian Government have done well in voicing out, its good, but the meeting is what I don not understand (I chose not to comment).

2. Nigerians should stick with Nigerians until this is dead, this is time for brother-hood, its much better defence.

3. Nigerians should lock-up, pack-up and come home(though I know the country doesn’t favour you, I know)

4. The South-African Government should decide if they want Nigerians or not, sometimes its great to be a Donald Trump.

In conclusion, this Xenophobic attack on Nigerians by South-Africa is simply Terrorism in disguise.

Crime / My Fraud Experience With Lagos Activation Job by gimmehear(f): 8:06pm On Aug 26, 2019
I’m Temi Badmus, and today I write about my experience with a ‘food’ company named Klevs Food. I have heard that most of this activation, promoter jobs in Lagos are mostly scam, and some of them are avenue to use people for ritual but today isn’t about the ritual but about a scam company.

As you all know, I’m a media person. I finished school few months ago, after which I came home for holiday. Mostly when I’m at home for holiday I either do my media work or research work, but this time around I decided to do something different. I spoke with a friend who said I can do activation job, my first search got a no, reason? The company said since I’m a graduate, I might not take the work seriously and then one of the panel said, “This your phonetic, it really fits a front desk work”. I left after.

So I decided to give it a trial on another form, for the sake of experience and mainly because I find it daring when the lady said as a graduate, the job is hard for me.

I build Instagram followers, I’m into search engine optimization, mapping of company, freelancing and designing of websites, so to me, I really saw no reason why that activation job would be hard for me.

I want to Bring Your notice to fact that jobs in Lagos ain’t only using people for ritual, some of them go as far as using innocent Nigerians to scam the needy through raffle tickets and all sorts of lies. We found out later that this Klevs Food might not even be a company but a group of people who are fraudsters, they also claim to deal with posting of songs for upcoming artistes, writing and so on, all these, a big lie.

The main person in-charge of this theft is “Shantel” and here is the guy’s number – 08128928433

This number is their head of fraudster’s number, he seems to have more than one number and he is an un-educated Yoruba guy.

They are aided by these people

08128928433: Sam Boy
08123133027: Mercy Black.
09066923600: Ba Samuel
Check this numbers well should in case you are been contacted for any work.

Politics / UPN: Kogi Governorship Election Must Be Free And Fair by gimmehear(f): 6:11pm On Aug 24, 2019
Ahead of November 16 governorship election in Kogi State, the Unity Party of Nigeria, and Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Kogi State has called for credible, free and free election.

The call was made yesterday in Lokoja at a one day symposium convened by a former House of Assembly Candidate of UPN, Seyi Babaeko.

The convener said the symposium became imperative in view of the violence and cry of manipulations that characterised the last general election in the state.

Babaeko said: “The gathering today for the symposium was a calling of the deep calling unto the deep. The program was not only educating, but also interactive and a right step, in the right direction for the repositioning of Kogi State.

“The November 16th governorship election in Kogi State has given us as citizens the ample opportunity for us to hope for a new beginning. Hence, it is time for all sons and daughters of the Confluence State to be fully involved in electing the next governor.

“As a candidate for the Kogi State House of Assembly in the last election, I am going to be part and a leading voice for the coalition of opposition parties that will provide the next governor and we will decide who and which direction to go after all parties primary election. Collectively we must push Kogi State to work from her mechanistic and moribund State.

“I want to appeal to all the winning candidates of their parties for the election and all Kogi people to shun every form of violence before, during and after the election.”

Guest speaker at the event, Barr. Bello Adamu Esq, who is the executive Director, Interactive Disputes Mediators, said only free, fair and credible elections will save Nigeria from bloodbaths and litigations after the election.

The mediator also decried the Winners -take -it- all syndrome of Nigeria polity, said it has contributed to the do or die election as well as eroded good governance in the democracy.

“Governance must be inclusive, governance is not only being in office to influence or rule, but to aggregates peoples together to get the best for the society.

“We must disabuse the winners -take- it -all syndrome in Nigeria politics; that is why Nigeria elections are full of violence. Appointees of government must be across party divides not only for party loyalty.”

Barr. Adamu also charged the opposition parties to provide quality opposition to ruling parties, “Political parties who are not in power must provide good opposition by agitating for good governance.”

He said that candidates in Kogi “Must mobilize public opinion not against individual or government, but for policies that will favour the society. They must mould institutions that will outlive them, they must think about the people and not the parties.”

Crime / Woman Boils Husband Like A Chicken For Refusing To Pick Her Up by gimmehear(f): 6:45am On Aug 18, 2019
Zimbabwean man has been left badly scalded after being poured hot water by his wife Alice Chigwida, for coming home late and failing to pick her from St Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday August 11.

Mr Davies Chitagu reportedly returned home around 10pm and they had an argument about him not picking her up from church. He was reportedly sleeping when his wife stormed the room he was in and emptied a bucket of hot water on him. A family member told Chronicle that the lady ignored her husband’s plea while pouring the hot water on him.

“When she feared that he would die on their matrimonial bed, she helped him into their car and went to dump him at a surgery in the city before telling his relatives that he was in hospital,” the family source said.

It was learnt that a police report had to be made before Mr Chitagu could be treated. Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident and he said an investigation has already been launched.

“I can confirm that we are dealing with a case of domestic violence where a woman scalded her husband with boiling water following a domestic dispute. Further investigations into the matter are underway,” said Inspector Ncube.

Mr Chitagu has since been discharged from the hospital but still has bandages on almost all parts of his body.
