Politics / APC Lawmakers Offered N150m Each To Impeach Saraki, Dogara – Timi Frank by gimmehear(f): 9:43am On Aug 04, 2018

…State legislators to get N50m each against Ortom, Tambuwal, other

The immediate past Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progresives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has accused the presidency and the leadership of the APC of a plot to induce its Senators, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly members with humongous cash to impeach the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara.

Frank who raised the alarm in a statement on Saturday in Abuja, also listed Governors Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Abdulfatah Ahmed and Samuel Ortom as having been marked for removal in the said plot.

He said while Saraki and the governors have been slated for removal for daring to defect from the APC to the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dogara is to be impeached for fear he may soon dump the APC as well.

He described the ongoing plot to illegally dispense state funds to carry out the unconstitutional removal of duly elected public officials as the height of impunity and corruption that has been prevalent in the present administration since inception in May 2015.

Frank said: “From available information, the Presidency in collaboration with the leadership of the APC is about to dole out the sum of $400,000 (about N150million) each to APC Senators and House of Representatives members to impeach Saraki who has defected to the PDP and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara – who they fear may soon dump the party as well.

“They are also offering legislators in some State Houses of Assembly the sum of $150,000 (about N50million) each, to impeach their Governors that recently defected to the PDP.”

He said that the President has allegedly directed the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to foot the bills to achieve the objective of removing the defectors from their present political positions.

“I have been reliably informed that after separate meetings with APC Senators and House of Representatives members, shortly before his U.K. trip, the President summoned the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and after informing him that ‘APC lawmakers have a proposal’, he ‘directed the GMD to attend to their needs.’

“I want Nigerians and members of the international community to note that this ‘presidential order’ is coming at a period when State Governors have incessantly complained, during their monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meetings in Abuja, about unexplained shortfalls in remittances of crude oil sales to the Federation Account by the NNPC.

“From this curious directive, it is now clear to Nigerians and the world at large, that the amount accruing to the Federation Account from monthly crude oil sales is being deliberately and illegally deducted at source and set aside by the NNPC – on the orders of the presidency – to fund illegal operations like their present desperate bid to remove Saraki, Dogara and Governors that recently dumped the APC.

“I am not surprised about this unholy cash inducements to lawmakers to do a dirty job because the Presidency and the APC recently conducted a dressed rehearsal of an inducement heist in Ekiti State during the ‘see and buy votes saga’ with which they allegedly rigged the Ekiti Governorship election in favour of the APC,” he said.

He however warned the presidency and the APC to desist from their present plot to illegally remove Saraki, Dogara and affected Governors, it may lead to chaos and anarchy capable of truncating democracy in the country.

He said: “Let me warn the Presidency and the leadership of the APC to desist from their present desperate plot to bribe some Federal and State legislators so as to force the illegal removal of Saraki, Dogara and Governors that recently dumped the APC.

“Let me also urge APC lawmakers to be circumspect about this unholy transaction as they will be risking the wrath of Nigerians should they yield to the inducements and attempt the illegality for which they are now being primed with loads of cash.

“Is it not curious that this illegal cash bazaar is being clandestinely orchestrated by a government that has visited untold hardship on Nigerians in the last three years?” he queried.

He pleaded with the international community to call the President and the leadership of the APC to order and also to prevail on them to stop their plan to illegally use state funds to truncate the nation’s democracy.

“I also want Nigerians and members of the international community to jointly hold the presidency and the leadership of the APC responsible for any unintended consequences of their present action aimed at removing the leadership of the National Assembly and governors who recently switched allegiances from the APC to the opposition PDP,” Frank said.

He further urged the APC lawmakers to reject such “blood money” aimed at violating their consciences and lowering their integrity, while calling on Nigerians to be extra vigilant in order to frustrate the current efforts of the Presidency and the APC to instigate chaos and anarchy in the National Assembly and some State Houses of Assembly, capable of truncating democracy in Nigeria.

Politics / Yoruba Rich Youths Summons Saraki To Resign by gimmehear(f): 1:09pm On Aug 03, 2018
One particular group, Yoruba Youths Congress (YYC), on Friday urged the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, to resign his position having defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking to reporters in Akure, the Ondo State capital, its National President, Prince Dapo Adepoju who is also the Chairman, Coalition of Southwest youths said it will be immoral for Saraki to continue as President of the Nigerian senate with his defection from the ruling party to the opposition.

The youth leader noted with dismay the undue opportunities granted politicians to take the electorate for granted in their actions.

According to him, since the APC has majority members in the upper chamber, the minority PDP cannot lead the majority.

He said; “Our call is to ensure that the national assembly is peaceful, the situation whereby 109 senators will set Nigeria ablaze because of their selfish interest will not be acceptable by the Nigerian youths.

“The activities of the 8th assembly under Saraki has been retrogressive, in fact the present National Assembly is the most politicized senate since we returned to democratic rule in 1999”.

Adepoju emphasised that the 2019 polls will not be determined by politicians but the electorate who are mostly youths.

He also cautioned the leadership of the APC not to victimise any personality that defected to another party since partisan politics is free entry and exit.

Politics / Sokoto Lawmaker: I Was Offered N13m By Tambuwal To Decamp From APC - NAN by gimmehear(f): 7:10am On Aug 02, 2018
A Sokoto legislator has made a stunning claim of bribery against Gov.Aminu Tambuwal, who left the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday.

The member of the state House of Assembly, who declined to follow the governor to the PDP, said he was offered N13 million by the governor as an inducement to dump the APC.

He said he rejected the money and appeared to insinuate that the 18 other members who followed Tambuwal to the PDP accepted the bribed. The claim has not been verified.

The legislator, who belongs to the camp of former Governor Aliyu Wammako, said he and 11 other members of the house rejected Tambuwal’s bribe.

“We were offered N13 million each to move to the PDP. I, along with 11 other members of the house declined the offer and remain in the party with which we were elected.

” We remain loyal to APC, our leader Sen. Aliyu Wamakko and President Mohammadu Buhari. We cannot join PDP because we cannot return to darkness which the opposition party represents, having experienced the light in APC”.

“No amount of intimidation, political harassment as well as monetary inducement will make us change our political stand.

“We are happy with the recent political development in our state and we will continue to work towards promoting the lofty ideals of our party,” he said.

He said he and 11 other colleagues rejected the bribed to join the PDP because “they have their names to protect”.

“We have since embarked on house to house sensitization to our teeming supporters on why we remain in our party and why we want them to remain politically committed ”

“We want everybody to remain loyal to our party leaders ,shun political thuggery and violence because as progressive we must be seen to be promoting peaceful coexistence for the overall political growth of our party “he said.

He called on APC teeming supporters to participate in the ongoing continuous voters registration exercise.

“Any body that offers you money, collect it because it is your money that is supposed to be used in providing democracy dividends but diverted for selfish interests,” he said.

Tambuwal, 52, defected to the PDP in a huge ceremony in Sokoto today. His deputy, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, remains in APC.

Politics / Sowore Met With Fourteen 2019 Presidential Aspirants by gimmehear(f): 12:45pm On Aug 01, 2018
Sowore met with fourteen 2019 young presidential aspirants.

On the 31th of July which was the exact day that Senate President ‘Bukola Saraki deflected from all Progressive party to people Democratic Party; a very interesting meetings between Sowore Omoyele and fourteen younger presidential aspirants also occurred.

Below is the conclusion and what was discussed in the meeting.

It is no longer debatable that our country Nigeria has been brought to her knees, and is tottering on the brink of collapse.

In no more than the life of a generation, our nation and people are witnessing the catastrophic failure of governance and the near collapse of virtually all our national institutions; such that we have now become the country with the largest concentration of poor people in the world.

The ties that bind us together are today under such enormous pressures, that we can say without any doubt that never in our history have we been confronted by such a scale and scope of existential crises.

We are very clear in our minds and share the collective conviction, that our present woes, in their history is as a result of collective failure of leadership by those who have been in the leadership of our country for decades, and the establishment that have institutionalised support in their self-interest and visionless leadership.

We share the grievance and anger of our people, as well as their yearnings and aspirations for a new Nigeria different from the one bequeathed on us by our leaders from independence in 1960 till date 31st July, 2018. We are categorical about those who should accept responsibility for our failures as a nation 1960-2018; and as visionary presidential aspirants coming together under PACT, we are united in our convictions, that our national rebirth can be achieved through collective engagements to install a new political order 2019 by taking up leadership responsibilities in the overall common good.

We are conscious of the fact that, the ploy, by the establishment form new coalitions with the antics of defection from party to party, is a ploy calculated at ensuring that power does not slip out off their hands.
We denounce such coalition and defection forming pranks and antics as calculated attempts to deceive the mass of our people. We call on the mass of our people, who are victims of their misrule, not to allow them to be deceived again. This is why those of us who represent a new crop and paradigm shift in leadership, and embodiment of a new vision have agreed to come together and work for the realization a greater Nigeria for the actualization of our full potentials in human and materials resources.
Suffice it to say that, those of us who have indicated interest with our aspirations to lead our country avowed to engage a radical transformational developmental process by way of this resolution reached today Tuesday, 31st of July 2018 as we deliberate on the challenges of our country, with a commitment and resolve to begin the process of taking collective ownership of this renaissance struggle aimed at national rebirth in rebuilding the nation.

OUR RESOLVE AND DECISIONS:

In the light of the foregoing and as a response to the collective yearnings and aspirations of our people; we have resolved as follows:

* Recognising that at the core of our existential challenges as a people and nation is the failure of leadership;

* We affirm, that as the new face of visionary leadership for our country, we are collectively stepping into the fray, to fill the leadership vacuum, and offer leadership at this momentous juncture in our history.

* We affirm that collectively, we are committed to the process of building a United Front to mobilize our people to lead the change we desire during the 2019 general elections.

*We understand that Unity is a process, and not an event, and as such, we undertake to effect necessary steps towards consolidating on the process of building a united front based on shared vision and ideas.

* Towards this end, we are in agreement that internal party processes towards producing eventual party candidates and flag bearers should be allowed to reach its logical conclusion

*Furthermore, we are committed to step up the process of building a united front once party candidates have emerged; and shall continually hold consultations among ourselves and broker conversations with our parties towards ensuring that we are able to present a United Front towards the 2019 general elections.

PROTESTERS WANTS SARAKI EXPELLED FROM APC
Posted on July 31, 2018 AuthorTemi Badmus Comment(0)
Some protesters on Tuesday morning stormed the headquarters of Nigeria’s ruling party, APC, demanding the sack of Senate President Bukola Saraki from the party.

The protesters, who said they were members of the APC in Kwara, also commended the decision of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to dissolve the Kwara party executive.

Newsmen reported the Monday decision of the NWC to dissolve the Kwara executive which had pledged total loyalty to Mr Saraki. However, the executivesrejected the dissolution, saying the NWC acted illegally.

Although Mr Saraki is still officially a member of the APC, he is expected to decamp to the opposition PDP soon. The other federal lawmakers from Kwara were among the over two scores federal lawmakers who defected from the APC last week.

The protesters on Tuesday are however unwilling to wait for Mr Saraki’s defection; instead, they want him expelled from the party.

Addressing journalists during their peaceful rally at the national secretariat, Tayo Awodiji called for the expulsion of Mr Saraki for anti-party activities.

“The dissolution of the Balogun APC executives in Kwara State by Adams Oshiomhole and the National Working Committee is highly commendable as it is long awaited,” Mr Awodiji said.

He said the dissolution will pave way for proper repositioning of the party ahead of the 2019 election.

Politics / Obasanjo:i Will Support Any Party Come 2019 Election by gimmehear(f): 2:32pm On Jul 27, 2018
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has pledged to support any presidential candidate capable of leading the country to the ‘promise land’.

Obasanjo, who added his voice to the unfolding political events in the country yesterday, made the assertion in Abeokuta, Ogun State, when former Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs and a presidential hopeful, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, visited him.

A former governor of Adamawa State and his campaign coordinator, Boni Haruna, accompanied Turaki to the former president’s home.

Obasanjo insisted that he would not rest until Nigeria’s fortunes turn around for good, even as he identified dearth of quality leadership as one of the major challenges confronting the nation.

He called for concerted efforts from the political class to provide the country better leadership, adding: “What is happening here today particularly gladdens my heart.

“You are stabilising Nigeria’s democracy. Democracy is not a destination but a journey and there is no nation that can claim to have reached the final destination.

“It is good for us as a nation and our democracy. We have identified a lot of things about what we need to put right as a country. What we lack and why are we not where we should be.

“We are so divided today more than ever before. People are deprived socially and economically. But I have never lost hope. The reasons are many but one of them is why we are here today.”

Speaking, Turaki noted that he and his team came to pay respect to Obasanjo to intimate him of his presidential ambition in 2019, stressing: “The indivisibility of the country remains non-negotiable.”

He said the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government was incapable of resolving Nigeria’s many challenges.

“This meeting is a very fruitful one. We have discussed openly, honestly and frankly about the current situation in this country and like always, Baba (Obasanjo) offered us tremendous guidance.

“He has spoken in his vintage way of speaking passionately about the situation in the country. We believe that our indivisibility as one and united nation is given and non-negotiable. We feel that our unity is also non-negotiable.

“But within the parameters of living and staying as the plural, multi-ethnic and complex country that God has brought together, we must learn to respect each others’ feelings,” he stated.

Turaki stressed that politicians must work towards ensuring that government performs its minimum obligation that citizens expect, which is the protection of lives and proper...

Politics / Apc Will Win 2019 Election With Or Without R-apc Oshimole Says by gimmehear(f): 3:29pm On Jul 07, 2018
The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, says the party will be victorious in 2019 even if it ignores the splinter group in the party, tagged R-APC.

The R-APC which emerged three days ago is led by Buba Galadima, a former secretary of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).

The group which described itself as the “authentic” APC is believed to have the support of the Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara and ex-Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, as well as many other top APC leaders.

The R-APC said its members include persons who were part of the various parties that merged to form the APC including the CPC, ANPP and the N-PDP.

On Friday, Mr Oshiomhole played host to former state chairpersons of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), who distanced themselves from being part of the R-APC.

The CPC was the party then candidate Muhamamdu Buhari used to contest the 2011 presidential elections which he lost.

Mr Oshiomhole said his leadership has started meeting with members who have genuine grievances.

“We listened to Buba Galadima. It is as if a very hungry bird is dancing at the centre of the road and a disgruntled drummer not far away in the bush is drumming for him.

“But this is not to say that we are not aware that there are challenges here and there, but anything about APC is considered more much more than the sum total of all the challenges we have in many of the states. And by the special grace of God we shall overcome them and we are already overcoming them.

“I am very confident that we can afford to ignore Buba Galadima.

“When we see people who have genuine grievances, we are not ashamed to talk to them. We recognise that democracy is an equaliser and only people who are humble enough to engage can survive and we have been engaging.

“We have been meeting with various individuals and groups who we believe really have genuine concerns on certain matters and we are making progress. But when we see people who don’t mean well, there are a lot of idle people who don’t have any other thing to do and once they don’t have access to national honey pot, then they begin to complain.”

15 YEAR OLD BOKO HARAM BOMB MAKER CONFESSES.
Posted on July 3, 2018 AuthorTemi Badmus Comment(0)
A 15 year-old former Boko Haram bomb maker has made a chilling confession about how he made over 500 underwear Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) used by insurgents for suicide missions on soft targets in the last five years.

Ali Goni was only ten years old and in primary six when he was kidnapped in Bama.

The military authorities described the teenager as the most deadly Boko Haram member, who had mastered various techniques that can cause maximum destruction of lives.

Army intelligence sources told NAN that the suspect is the most innovative bomb maker to emerge in recent years. The military did not allow NAN to photograph him because of his age.

Goni, who is undergoing rehabilitation at a military detention camp in Maiduguri, told NAN recently that he assembled IEDs with fragmented materials and configure them for suicide missions.

He said he introduced the use of padlock to IEDs strapped on bombers that can hardly be demobilised or detected by bomb detectors.

“I was kidnapped along with my mother in Bama’s Kawuri Street by Baba Kaka, a dreaded Boko Haram commander. They took us to Sambisa and kept us in a camp called “Kwalfata”.

“We underwent various training in the camp. During the course of our induction training, I was selected to be trained on bomb making technique, bomb detection as well as identifying and demobilising explosives.

“I refused initially, but they said they would kill my mother just like the way they killed my father when they stormed Bama. So I eventually agreed. During the training, many of my colleagues died while trying to make bombs. At the end I emerged the best among all.

Ahmed Musa might end up Nigeria’s fall.

I don’t know why Africans are the people with the highest form of problems in the whole world.

Let me explain why we lost to Iceland in the first game, Before we went for the first game;Every Nigerian was celebrating the Jersey not the effort the suppers eagles needs to make.

It is just like when you allow your child to play too much and he fails at the end, you scold him and he fix it back. Yes! The Super Eagles got scolded and they all worked hard to fix it back, Ahmed Musa might have been better than all of them but he doesn’t have what it takes to make the sacrifice all of them made… He scored the goal, yes but it was a team effort and I’m proud of them all.

Before we make the mistake of praising one person and making the other players feel that they need to score to be recognized, this is what you are doing.

Tomorrow ‘s game will be a game of who will score, everybody in the team will want to score and that will lead to leaving the chance of penalties to our opponents and trust me, they won’t miss any penalty this time around, if you like call all the witches in Nigeria, Argentinas will drag it with naija players.

I know we don’t go to psychologist in Nigeria, we believe only made people do that. Issokay.

One thing is certain, the boys will work hard, but because only Musa has been the man of the hour; he is been the only one everybody is celebrating, physiology will come in and we will put strive among the players.

Argentina will use this as their defence, I believe before that Nigeria will beat Argentina probably with Nigeria having one and Argentina having zero

Or Nigeria having three and Argentina having one.

But one thing I’m sure about is Nigeria might not have the chance to beat Argentina
3:0

SHOULD PEOPLE MAINTAIN A STAND AT THE ATM SPOT?

Hey guys! How are you? I know a lot of you has missed my write up, I got your mails and chats on whatsapp.

Meanwhile I will appreciate it if you guys can always drop your comment on the blog instead of sending it to me personally. Thanks lovers .

Back to our topic, I have been in Lagos for a while now; this is not the first time I will be staying in Lagos but this period has been hectic, fun filled and annoying as well. So I’m planning on fixing my YouTube channel soon.

Stay updated.

So a lot of drama has happened so far but the one I will be discussing is about ATM stand issue I saw happened yesterday evening.

Should people maintain a stand at the ATM spot.

I decided to withdraw some little cash, the whole queue was a mess, in fact there was no queue; people were literally lining up in front of different ATM machine but withdrawing from another. You know how Nigerians are, I thought it only unilorin student that do that. Lol

I asked the guy in front of me if he was on the same queue as mine,
Dude said yes, few minutes

Politics / Pdp List Guidelines Demands 12m From Aspirants by gimmehear(f): 5:40pm On Jun 17, 2018
PDP lists guidelines for presidential aspirants, demands N12m for forms

The Peoples Democratic Party has outlined how its 2019 presidential candidate will emerge.

In a 40-page document titled ‘Electoral Guideline for the PDP, Directorate of Organisation and Mobilisation’, the party said its presidential aspirants are to pay a total sum of N12m for both nomination and expression of interest forms, respectively.

However, female aspirants are to pay only N2m for expression of interest form as they are exempted from the payment of N10m nomination fee.

The document that explained these modalities was signed by the National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus and the National Secretary of the party, Senator Umaru Tsauri.

The party said all aspirants are to swear to an oath to abide by the decisions of the party on the conduct of its primary elections.

The document said each aspirant must be nominated by not less than “60 persons from at least two-thirds of all the states of the federation who shall be registered voters in their respective local government areas and also registered members of the party.”

The document added, “A copy of the voter’s registration card of the aspirant shall be attached to the duly completed nomination form.

“To be accompanied by a sworn declaration made before a Commissioner of Oaths or notary public; undertaking to abide by the guidelines, all laws and any rules or regulations made by the party for the conduct of the primary elections.

“The decision of the National Executive Committee of the party on all primary elections shall be final and binding.”

The party stated that its NEC would appoint a Presidential Screening Committee on the recommendation of the NWC.

The committee, it said “shall consist of a chairman and eight others. One from each geo-political zone, plus two women (one from the North and another from the South).”

It added that aggrieved aspirants, who fail the screening exercise, would be free to appeal to a panel that would be led by Secondus, which will also include all other members of the NWC.

On the payment of fees, the party said, “An aspirant shall obtain the expression of interest forms code PD002/P upon payment of the non-refundable fee of N2m from the national secretariat of the party or such place as may be designated by the NWC of the party, and, on completion, return same to the national secretariat.

“An aspirant shall obtain Nomination Form code PD003/P from the national secretariat of the party or such other place designated by the NWC of the party and evidenced upon payment of the prescribed non-refundable fee of N10m, save that female aspirants shall be exempted from the payment of the prescribed nomination fee.”

The document added that all the aspirants must be “duly registered financial members of the party.”

It was however silent on the modalities to determine the financial status of the aspirants.

While it said the presidential candidate would emerge through “modified open secret system,” it also added that the “aspirant with the highest number of votes at the end of voting shall be declared the winner of the primary.”

The document was however silent on the date and venue of the special national convention where the candidate would emerge.

The party indicated that the “date and venue for the convention would be made known, at least seven days before the event (convention).”

Part of the qualifications listed for its presidential aspirants are that they must be citizens of Nigeria by birth and that they must not be below the age of 40.

The aspirants are also expected to be registered voters and must attach a copy of their voter card and registration cards to their duly completed form code PD003/P.
