Hi, i just got a job too as a data analyst in NHS.
Are you taking the offer and is it an entry level band?
Mine also comes with sponsorship.

Geebee5:
Hello everyone,

I need insights from the experienced peeps on this forum.
I got a job offer from NHS to work as a Data Analyst accompanied with Tier2 /sponsorship visa. I currently work as an IT service desk technician in a private company and I must say, it’s wonderful working here (my current company). My boss put in a word for me and the company is ready to sponsor me so they intend to put in an application to the home office to be a sponsorship licensed employer so I can be sponsored. Also, I’ll move to another department to work as a Data Analyst. I really have no Idea how the NHS works but would like to hear from experienced folks. If you were in my shoes, what will you do? Thanks

Haiziik:
LONG MESSAGE ALERT
Thank you, interview went well
Q. Your name, DOB, Nationality
What are you going to do in the UK
Your role?
What's your salary
No salary, it's a volunteering and charity work
How did you know about the job
What made you the best candidate for the job
Who is the head of the organization?
Do you know him personally? No
Where will you be staying? I told him
Who's stays there? Idk but it's an arrangement from the organization
Is it a private facility or a hotel? Private
Tell us about the recruitment process with dates?
Have u travelled out of the country before? No
Have u done charity in African countries before? No
So why UK? This is where the opportunity is coming this time and I want to take it to give more to the society, it's going to be an added value to me and it will open more opportunities for me internationally
When are u meant to start work?
April 1st
That has passed, do you think it's still necessary
Charity and volunteering has no time bound, giving is not meant for a particular time,
And I've also been in contact with my employer and they're willing to reschedule once my visa is granted
What do you do here? I told her about my business
Who will manage it when you're away? My wife is an accountant and she can manage it properly when I'm away. My sister too can handle a number of things being a staff and has taken several lead roles
What's your monthly income? I said roughly N150k
Who will take care of your wellbeing there? My employer
Including food? Yes
How will ur family here be taken care of? From my biz
In case you need to take care of something, how will u do that? I have about N500k as savings with a cooperative society and I have access to *4 of that if need arise but I don't think there will be such emergency
Did you do this process yourself or someone helped you? Did myself.
These are the questions I can remember now but there were even more questions that this.
Spent about 1hr25mins for the interview.
She said she's impressed and inspired and also said she's not the one to take a decision that it's just a part of the process, that she's going to send the video and typed answers to the department that will take the decision.
I even said I thought there was going to be an apology due to the delay, she made some explanations and apologized on behalf of the team. In all, it was a long but interesting and interactive conversation.
I just hope my financial figures is OK as I dont know what their minimum requirements are for my finances. Just told them the truth about it. Hopefully I get a positive decision soon.

Hello pls I will like to ask some questions about this Charity visa.

1. Can dependents work full time?

2. I know it is unpaid work but i read homeoffice allows you to work 20hrs per week on another job, can that job be paid? I mean the supplementary 20hrs job separate from the one with COS

3. Can one switch to a tier 2 skilled worker visa from the charity visa inside the um

Thank you in advance

Thank you. Are jobs easy to find there and what is child cost like?

Update on my passport application.
So i registered in April and made payment in May. I decided to go to the high commission yesterday just to ask questions and I was attended to. Thank God. The whole process was less than 30 mins.
The man at the gate was very nice. 20 pounds postal order and a delivery envelope was what i got. Though one other guy started shouting that i paid in may and theyre still attending to April. Saying i should get a 120pounds postal order insted. His oga's word trumped his own sha and they allowed me in for biometrics and all.

Fast track is officially suspended but it is still on for 120pounds postal order. Only with a caveat that youll sign some undertaken, cant remember what it was.
Officially free from passport wahala wheew thank God!

Mimzyy:
You have to wait until you get an email confirmation for your appointment which will most likely be next year tbh.(I paid since May and I’m still waiting).

They are currently attending to April applicants.

Are you renewing from the UK? If so, I can tell you to go to London office, Nigeria High Commission. Print out your application form, acknowledgement form, payment confirmation slip, go to post office, purchase a postal order amount of 120£ payable to Nigeria High Commission, buy a special delivery postal bag it’s like grey and self address it, take your old passport along. Proceed to the Nigeria house for a walk in(fast track). Get there quickly as u will meet a long queue. Get there around 7am or 8am if you could. They will start letting people in around 9.15

I got in around 9.15 and was done about 11.30am.

Thank you. Yes I'm in the UK. Can i buy the postal order from any post office? Or does it have to be the one close to the High commission?

Hello house please I'll like to know if it's possible to do a Tuberculosis test walk in for my 3 weeks old baby. The dates I'm getting are to far and we need to start processing her visa application asap. Will it be better to take the October date and then walk in to iom or is it better to just walk in straight.
Pls help

This your question get as e be. If you want to study nursing at the Masters level and you can't even find this information by yourself then i don't even know why you'll choose to study this course. Everyone is running into nursing because of job prospects not knowing how tasking and sensitive this job is.

Anyone that even answers you is not helping you. Do your research more so you'll be confident in saying it. Even using company figures will not work because they'll go for more experienced people. Entry level nurses are not paid much here to amount to the investment you're making but you can build that up with your passion/humanitarian aspect for caring for people.

But pls do more research and stop depending solely on here.

Access2017:
Hello everyone

Please I need your suggestions on places and top positions I could possibly say I would work in Nigeria when I complete my course MSc. Adult Nursing.

Secondly, how much do they pay nurses in these places?

I'm certain I will be asked this question, hence I need something convincing. I'm open to any suggestions.

please help a friend.

@mimilyrics @everyone
Thank you!

Please for fees payment, is it better to pay via Form A with our naija banks or use a contact I was linked to in the UK ?
What is the Form A rate for those that used it? (i.e their GBP vs USD conversation in naira?), meanwhile the contact in UK is requesting for 600/GBP.
Which option do you think is beter off and economical? as every naira saved in this journey counts.
Thanks in advance for your responses.

But why will you want to use someone that will charge you 600/GBP when you're trying to save money. No naija rate is even up to 600, do your research. Stanbic has a good rate

This issue of card payment is so annoying. My dollar card refuse to be delivered since a month ago. I ended up telling my brother to pay from UK and I refunded him.

Just Incase anyone needs the info. I use 3 debit cards to pay for visa fees for main applicant and dependents. GTB deducted N176,280 and some, Standard Chartered N197,200 while Access bank deducted 201,140 for the fees.
The transaction was on Saturday though

Please what is the exact amount in Naira for visa application and ihs fees. Please I mean the total in Maida not pounds. Thank you

Please how did you pay and what are the requirements? Must you have a savings or current account? Can someone help you pay without being present?

I want to guide a freind who is studying in the UK to pay using Form A rather than paying pounds directly to save money.

You can pay using a savings account with the Naira equivalent, it doesn't have to be current. They'll need a copy of your intl passport, addmission letter where the fees are stated and your bsc certificate copy. You'll be given form A and one other form to enter the school payment details and amount in pounds. The process is seamless mostly.

Woow that's more money for maintenance funds right? I hope she won't have to wait another 28 days for the baby visa application wheew

dduchess90:
First. Congratulations to your friend, this is a tricky one but my guess it she might need to apply for a tier 4 dependant visa for the baby. Not sure there is a proper advice on babies born outside the UK but I know they have for inside the UK (I am assuming the baby will be born in Nigeria) if not, then NHS covers delivery in the UK

2. Ensure these bank statements are reflected in your visa application. Read through https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-on-application-for-uk-visa-as-tier-4-student maintenance funds bit

More people will advice on this......

Goodluck

1. Since your friend will pay for NHS immigration surcharge, giving birth is free as you are eligible to use NHS with same right as citizens.

2. Why not just use one savings account and one dorm account for ease. If you insist, then you can use it. Ensure the total money does not decrease below the 28 day count. Write it in the additional information section in your visa application that you are using three accounts fotr proof. My fear is that they might miss the account if you do not state it explicitly,.

Thanks for your response.

What I mean is that what if she gives birth before travelling but has already received her visa. Will anything change?

Hello guys please what is the cost implication of giving birth after visa has been issued. Will there be an extra amount required to be paid? My friend is currently pregnant and will be applying for a tier 4 visa but with all the delays she just want to be sure of any extra costs if the baby comes after visa is issued.

Secondly can i use 3 accounts to show as proof of funds? Is there a limit to the account one can use. I'm using a dom account and two savings accounts. Will that be accepted?
