Hello house, I got into Uk in Nov, and this January I want to apply for my husband as my dependent, do I need to provide proof of funds for him? The company that gave me COS already ticked that they will maintain us… but since I didn’t come in with him , I was wondering if that will still stand or I’ll need to provide proof of funds
It stands as maintenance was ticked

I saw this late Sha, UK is pretty straightforward and so far you can defend your transactions with evidence, and you have a balance of like 15M that hasn't been touched in the last 28days, you will get the visa. You already have a business and they know you will come back
not true
Your circumstances come into play and that person’s own is all over the place.. student… business without proper documentation etc…. This and that

We applied for a brother of ours, no refusal letter or email, we got tls email last week that the passport was ready for pickup, he picked up today and didn't see any visa vignette on the passport and no refusal letter attached to the passport.
Anybody has an idea of what can be wrong and what the solution can be?
Visa refusal. Send a paid mail to them if you check and don’t find the note in your inbox or spam or junk mail

Good afternoon all. Please can someone extend their Tier 2 visa four months to the expiration of the current visa? For example if your visa will expire in April can you apply for its extension in December with same employer? Thank you.

Who can help with International driving licence here pls …
Kindly Dm
u do not need it for the UK. Your standard driving licence is fine and it’s 15k for 5 years.
Also since it is a renewal/reissue you can apply for it online. Inorder to avoid going to capture, select no to the biometrics question when filling the form. I guess it’s how to get it to you here in the UK I can not help with

HELP!!!!! please does anyone has the format or share a sole responsibility letter from the court. I have submitted a sole custody/responsibility letter from the court but just got an email request for additional document requesting for sole responsibility again. Is it possible there was an oversight by them or is it because my court document says custody/responsibility? I have contacted the lawyer and he says that is the format they always use and i can resend it. But i dont wanna take any changes because this is the 3rd application someone please HELP!!!!!!! i have 10days to respond.
It is not a letter.
It is a court order, a court document stating the court’s decision that you have SOLE RESPONSIBILITY.

1. Both should not apply together, one has to be the surety for the other.
2. Their financial profiles seem to be poor, are you able to fully sponsor this trip at least for the chosen grandparent to scale the affordability axe?

Hi, thanks for your response but i respectfully disagree with the statement in bold. My brother is the sponsor, he’s in The UK and he doesn’t have to send money to my Mum’s account for the trip. His account statement/documents is sufficient but just want to know what amount will be fair to write as his total spend for the trip, thanks
Multiple times on my applications for sponsored trips. I write £2000 and then accommodation + feeding to be covered by me

Where in the UK are you based - England or Scotland? In England the rules are that the child must turn 4 by the 31st of August to be enrolled in the same academic year. So if your daughter was born in November 2019 then she isn't eligible to start reception until next year.
It's a very strict rule that isn't waived based on academic ability or maturity or other criteria.
She will be eligible for reception the term after she turns 4.. parents need to apply re England
.. and yes you are correct it is not about ability/maturity etc

Hello house, I have a 4 year old daughter ( her birth was 4th November) and I want to register her in reception instead of nursery which is recommended due to the fact that her 4th birthday was after 31st August. We just moved to the UK in September and she hasn't started school yet. I want to know if it's possible to register her for reception instead of nursery. NB: my daughter was already learning to read in Nigeria, the things that are taught in reception she knows them already. I feel taking her back to nursery is like a double demotion.
Thanks, as I await your feedbacks.
she is eligible for reception class the term after her 4th birthday so I believe you are on track.

Thanks for your contribution. The issue is; because of the 20hrs visa restriction, he has not really been able to work. He believes bringing in dependant will ease the burden. Also, I have tried talking him out of it, but he's not getting convinced.
Through the help of my bf family members I already got marriage certificate and the required amount for POF. I applied for IOM and my appointment is tomorrow.
Everything just looks off to me, and I want to avoid us wasting more money, if it's not going to yield positive result.
That's why I'm asking if there's safer route instead of going with the narrative that we are married, without substantial evidence.
The safer route is to go as unmarried partners because you are not actually married.
It is not right to forge documents that you are married simply because you want to obtain a visa. You have also forged POF.
Same way your bf forged his POF.
If he didn’t, he wont be looking for you to come and work because he should already have his maintenance money for the duration of most of his school.
If things dont work out between two of you, as you have claimed you are married, you must go through an official divorce before you would be able to marry again in same UK as they only recognise monogamous relationships.
Well I am not a relationship adviser but the UK is not the way you see it and bf/gf relationship is far off from a married couple. Goodluck sistren!

@nwauwa . But will Schengen know?. I thought they don’t share the same database with schenghen and again her letter reads that they will give her 10 years ban only if she tries to reapply to uk again
In reality, Schenghen might not know if they do not check.
Sometimes they check, sometimes they don’t.
But yes she must serve her 10 years UK ban. Which in reality due to the fake documents can translate into a lifetime ban.
Well she has to lay on her bed that she has prepared. If she got the visa, she would have gone on to encourage more people to forge papers to acquire a visa. I am happy the system caught her. It is a very good deterrent.

Thank you very much for this.
Please can you clarify the £1 aspect. I am fully sponsoring her as she really doesn't have much. She's dependent on funds from her children.
I think the question in the form is usually how much does she plan to spend, do you mean I should put £1 for her.
And where in the form do I indicate fully sponsored by me aside my letter?
Thank you
the questions are 2…
1.
is how much are you planning to spend AND
2.
then how much are you personally spending… those are 2 questions. If you are fully sponsoring her and as the ECO pointed out, the how much personally should be £1 as she does not have any personal money to bring out.

Please my mom's Visa was refused yesterday. Attached is the reason of refusal which is majorly funds available to her. I didn't submit her personal accounts because I feel mine is sufficient. So I intend to submit her account in the next application.
Kindly help with the following:
1.Please what's the reasonable amount to be in her account.
2. Is one month statement sufficient
3. Reasonable duration of visit
U stated that she would be PERSONALLY spending £2200 and did not include her bank statements
Pls if she is fully sponsored write £1 there as she is not PERSONALLY spending the money as she has none from herself.
The ECO said they have been unable to determine if she has these money really available to her and also unable to tell of her current living circumstances in Nigeria.
One month bank statement is not enough, they want to see her circumstances in Nigeria…. as against what you filled in her form
Reasonable duration of visit for mother coming to see their child(in my opinion) is 2 weeks to 1 month.
If she gets the visa and decides to stay longer then fine but don’t start raising eyebrows by including a 5 month duration on her visa form.

Thanks guys.
Just a follow up question.
As we won't be stating she's a petty trader but a homemaker bla bla bla, is it okay to just put N1 in the spots where they asked how much spends each month and how much she hopes to spend during the visit.
@eolme I get your point but she's not just coming for a social visit na for omugwo. So, one month won't cut it.
put 1 naira or £1 if it is fully sponsored… this has wokred for all my relatives I have fully sponsored
Pls on the form max write 1 month or 6 weeks as yesss circumstances change… if/when she gets her visa she can enact her real plan.
You already said she is a petty trader, do not go on to make it obvious that she is intending to stay long and set her up as a candidate that has no genuine reason to return back to her home country… on a balance of probabilities she would be denied if she is perceived as such

Dear Fam
I need your assistance on what to do on name wrongly spelt on my dependants passport while birth certificate carries the original spellings. Its khole on passport instead of khloe whch is the right spelling and what she has on her birth certicate.
I already paid for appointment before noticing this error. In such a case what do I do?
you could have corrected this when you picked up the passport.. your passport should carry the right information

apply anytime after she comes back as if she applies now it renders the current one invalid

A lady changed her Nigerian passport from maiden to husbands surname.
Now she wishes to travel to Nigeria within a few days.
Brp is in her maiden name.
BRP replacement takes 3 to 8 weeks.
Can she travel out of UK with the following :
Old/new passports
BRP with maiden name
Marriage certificate, newspaper clippings of change of name etc.?
Any risk with the above approach?
New Naija passport just came, so no time to apply for BRP replacement since.
She can travel. She needs to be with old passport showing the entry clearance name and marriage certificate when returning. At the border she can also explain that she would put in a replacement BRP application. There’s no harm. On the website it says you should try to do the replacement within 3 months of the change. I know someone who did it later at 4 or 5 months and cited financial difficulties.

I need clarity on a particular situation. I’m on a skilled worker visa but I intend to change my sponsor. I currently have 2 offers from two different trusts and both are willing to offer sponsorship. I just got COS from one of the trust but I prefare the offer from the other trust because of the benefits attached to it…. I’m currently waiting for the other COS
My question is can I have 2 COS from different employers? Is this legal?
then decide which one I’m going for before applying for visa…Need to know if it can be done such way….. Hoping to hear from anyone with experience. Thank you
I don’t think the 2nd employer would be able to apply for the COS if there is an existing one just applied for, this is what I heard from some colleagues… the first ones would need to withdraw theirs…

I think the new rule says they must be married for 2yrs.
Incorrect. They should show evidence of relationship of 2 years for those coming as unmarried partners. If you are married, there is no rule concerning the length of marriage.

A friend in UK is trying to assist my sibling come over on a Cos care giver job role and my sibling is thinking of marrying his long time girlfriend so he can go with her as his dependant or vice versa as the case might be .
Please advice if it will be possible considering that he already made plans of having the court wedding by this December and paying her dowry also.
But his friends is thinking that the sudden marriage plans might raise a red flag eventhough he has a WhatsApp conversation with this lady that spans more than 5yrs...pictures both old and new
Both parties have their international passport in their separate names though as it was done earlier this month when there was no plan of even relocation on the cards yet.!!!
Looks like they are trying to get married for the sake of Skilled worker visa, this is not ideal.
Nevertheless, the suddenness of a marriage does not in itself decide the genuineness of a marriage. They will need to submit evidence showing they are genuinely in a relationship whether married or not. Check the above posts for what kind of evidence can be submitted.
