Jolene474:How much is your salary? If you feel all is not well, then delay the trip and keep a clean financial bank account of strictly your salary and use that. |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:25pm On Mar 29 |
Jolene474:The contract you did, surely there are proofs of the contract on paper? You should provide those alongside adding a paragraph pf this in your cover letter and explain like you are talking to a 5 year old while referencing each document you will be submitting of the contract. If you have also done this kind of contracts in the past, you can choose to make mention of those with proofs as well. |

EmirOfBodija:Whether she is spending her money or not, they want to see her bank statement now and are ready to scrutinise it. You should chill out a bit. 3 and half months again from now when you are not ready to ‘wait’ to address all the pre existing issues that have resulted in refusals 3 times. You keep saying she is not spending her money, it is immaterial now as she has refusals due to that reason and her financial records must be addressed. The next visa officer would not overlook her 3 refusals. For the 4th person to approve a visa, they would want to make sure she adequately meets the conditions and I’m afraid this brings more scrutiny. It is same as you, say you work in a a bank and a particular customer’s requests have been refused 3 solid times, even if it were the 1st time you were meeting the application as a bank agent, you would want to make sure all past 3 bank agents are not made to appear stupid and so would go by the books word for word if the application were to be approved. Everyone’s past history counts, stop throwing it under the table. Again if she is denied for your wife’s graduation/birthday which are even excusable to me, won’t everyone still go on about their lives? so why not take your time and get it right? 3 Likes |

EmirOfBodija:hello, with 3 or more refusals a further half baked application will do you no good. You must add her bank statements. You showed 1 month… they queried it, now you say 2 months with 130k… so where is the rest of the 1.3million and why is it gone in such a short period? Hold on until she has at least 6 months worth of ‘good’ documentation before you proceed. They are not stupid and with 3 refusals already she is gunning for a 4th with the way you are reasoning/taking things casually. |

EmirOfBodija:I see you provided 1 month bank statement alone for her? Why was that? Given she has at least previous denials, why the risk? .. then they are seeing 1.3m which they can’t adequately assess. Anhan. That’s what they were trying to explain in the last paragraph of the refusal letter. If you have previous denials, you already on 50% and should be ready to make your circumstances very plain and easy to change the ECO’s mind from finally stamping a refusal. Why are you reapplying immediately? Have her circumstances changed significantly? Given the rush and now this application has been denied, she is certainly not travelling now. So why not take your time and get it right? What’s the urgency? |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 2:59pm On Mar 26 |
Come again. You have only 2k+ in your account in total? Is this correct? If yes, this is too small. I would not sponsor anyone with 2k alone. Its risky. Also the person you are inviting you say petty trading but has 2.5 million . How was this gotten? Is there any documentation to show proof? Have these funds been there a long time or just last week was deposited to inflate her accounts? Then you want to provide 3 months bank statement from yourself, 2 months from your wife and then 1 month for the applicant. Obviously you have done no homework. This has red flags all over it and will not work Suzam: |

The success of visa applications often hinges not just on the documents provided, but on the clarity and persuasiveness with which the case is presented. Do everything and present every document unique to your case/situation that can assuage the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) ‘s fears that you are a potential overstayer. It is also advisable to draft a cover letter, succinctly summarizing the key points of the application, how each requirement is met, and why the visa should be granted. This can help frame the application in a way that is easily digestible for the ECO, ensuring they have all necessary information at their fingertips. 4 Likes |

samuel321:I wouldn’t risk that if I were you. What if along your application you are requested to provide wedding photos or her passport stamps to show she was physically present at the wedding? What then do you do? You can go the unmarried partner route since you are not married and provide all the required documents extensively. Goodluck |

Drphade:The onus is on you to prove that you are not a flight risk plus intending immigrant, has nothing to do with the sponsor. You must prove your own circumstances whether there is a sponsor or not. .. you as an adult should be able to sponsor a holiday for yourself if you want it, if you can’t then you shouldn’t really be bothering as anything can happen and then the sponsor is unable to fund you, you will then recourse to public funds. They don’t want that and so will happily deny your visa until you understand this. You need to show that something must make you return to wherever you’re coming from… presenting a sponsor does not prove this in any way. 1 Like |

Childofgrace18:Incorrect. This has changed since for Nigerian and 3rd country passport holders. To cross the Schenghen area whether you leave the plane or not, you require Airport transit visa or provide a Japanese, Canadian or American visa or passports etc cc billyfranc https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en/web/france-visas/airport-transit-visa https://www.esteri.it/en/servizi-consolari-e-visti/ingressosoggiornoinitalia/visto_ingresso/paesi_soggetti_visto_transito_aeroportuale/ |

Izanghi:6 million budget for 4 days trip is a lot.. the duration of the trip is also not in tandem with how much money they intend to blow especially when they have not travelled anywhere else before. UK does not care if you have 1 billion to spend, they just want to see some sort of semblance and explainable budget within the confines of your earning power. Not above your earning power. If your earning power can not afford the trip, then they don’t want you to come. 1 Like |

Childofgrace18:Asaba airport is not one of the international airports in Nigeria so I doubt it would be done there. Ask your niece to visit the Port Health Authority in Delta state, get their vaccination and certificate. At Lagos or Abuja there is a racketeering going on for it. The cost should be 2k ideally, I wont pay more than 5k to get it done if it were me. |

Do not give yourself a headache.. some have even laid low for 20 whole years and after 20 years file via the long residence route. How can a person decide to be illegal for 20 years? But it is what is in vogue + there is a route(loophole) to this. On facebook they are in their thousands and hundreds of thousands . Asylees get free accommodation, free meals, free nhs services, free prescriptions, kids must be registered in schools, living stipends, you get more if pregnant or if you have children…. Forget all the reporting stuff… Asylum seekers are not worried. The numbers are enormous. Now healthcare workers are been trained on how to manage asylum or refugee seekers because the numbers are huge and they are now a very growing part of the system especially the babies, children and young adults. I can tell you for a fact, a lot of people choose to stay back and hide for whatsoever number of years than go back home. They are doing cash in hand jobs, not paying taxes and still getting all of the above. It is what it is. They are not suffering as you say. If they were, they would perhaps choose to return home or go somewhere else. The era of going to Croydon or Liverpool to sign is also not as strict as it used to be. All I am saying is that no matter the route, as long as all these loopholes - asylum, refugee, 7 years, private life, human rights, discretionary leave, 20 years etc continue to exist, there is nothing you nor I can do. Zahra29:After the refusal re asylum, you are allowed to appeal or file fresh claim. There is no definite shut door and that’s why the fiasco. They go on to give birth and hoping to buy time- 7 years to put in for private life route. And a lot get to prolong and prolong and meet up with this 7 year timeline. |
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by giselle237: 3:32pm On Mar 06 |
Zahra29:Not exactly. The spouse visa route to a settled person or person with British citizenship is actually the only route where you won’t suffer the brunt of your previous overstay period so harshly IF YOU GO BACK to your home country and apply from there to return as the spouse of a British citizen + declare ALL of one’s true immigration history in the UK on your application form with no lies. Some go as far as seeking asylum inbetween so that their 3c leave is not broken, then when they find the spouse(scapegoat) they would now try to do the spouse one. It is a whole mess with so many loopholes. 1 Like |
