Afro-beat sensation, Tekno has called off his 5-year relationship with Ubi Franklin’s, MMMG.

It’s no longer a new thing for artiste depart from their career-lifting record labels, as a matter of fact it has become a trend in the music industry particularly the Nigerian music industry. This so-called trend has registered a lot of big names in the music industry like Ycee, D’banj, Lil Kesh, Wizkid, Kizz Daniel, Tiwa Savage amongst others. However, whilst some depart peacefully others did not leave on good terms probably due to some sort of disagreement.

Tekno announced his departure on his instagram page and has since gotten a whole lot of appraisals from his followers and colleagues in the industry for calling it a quit on a good terms with his, now ex-boss.

Ubi on the other hand, also went on to share the same picture he took with Tekno to announce his departure as well as to appreciate Tekno’s influence on his record label and to wish him well in his endeavors.

The ever-stylish Barbadian singer, businesswoman, fashion designer, and actress, Rihanna flew down to her hometown, Barbados on Sunday, August 4, 2019, ahead of the annual Crop Over festival that celebrates a tradition that honors the end of the sugar cane season.

We couldn't get our eyes off the 31-year-old singer dressed in a black co-ord that showed off her figure as she made her way out of a private jet looking ravishing in her head to toe black ensemble.  She was pictured wearing a plunging black crop blouse with a matching maxi thigh-high slit skirt

Rihanna complemented her look with a pair of black strap heels and carried a black hand bag.

It seems Nigerian artistes are now in the business of surprising their followers. Davido, Don Jazzy and now Patoranking.

Reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter, Patoranking took to his twitter to gift a random twitter user an all-expense paid trip to Dubai following a tweet she made two days. The user tweeted "I'll travel to Dubai next year. Speaking into existence." on August 4. However, Patoranking responded to the tweet today and assured the lady of an all-expense paid trip to Dubai if she has a visa. He tweeted "You don’t have to wait till next year...if you have a valid passport let me know you can travel anytime...all expenses paid."

As you'd have expected, this display of kind gesture shown by Patoranking cannot just go without attracting mixed reactions from other users who have numerously flooded the tweet with congratulatory messages and prayers towards the singer.

Tonto Dikeh has recently shared on Instagram a mail she received by an anonymous who claims to be an assassin but appears to be unbothered.

The controversial actress is calling on the Nigerian police and the Federal Government for security in regards to the email sent on July 22. The death threat was sent with a notion to be revoked if she is ready a make payment of 0.5 bts to an account the assassin provided who gave her a span of 2days to be fulfilled. The assassin who claimed to be in the business of killing people for 12 years, reassured her to expose the name of the man the order came from as well as other evidence if she cooperates.

Nollywood actor, Aremu Afoloyan shared an emotional post to mark his birthday today, the 2nd of August.

The veteran act took to his instagram to celebrate his birthday with a lenghty caption to appreciate those who have been a part of his life journey. Tope Alabi, his mum, his sisters amongst others were few names he specifically appreciated. Aremu also went on to open up his bitter experience during his childhood days.

However, attention has been drawn to the area where he skipped his celebrity brothers (Kunle and Gabriel Afolayan) name in the appreciation list. Though Aremu did not give a name to who he was referring to, we believe the subtle shade in the birthday post where he made mention of ‘scammers who used him’ may be directed at his brothers.

The popular singer who has a whooping number of followers across all his social media accounts just achieved another feat in the media world.

YouTube which has since gained a lot of ground in the media space now rates Davido as the first Nigerian artiste to hit 500 million total views.

The status quo to this rift boils down to the issue of diversity globally.

Bobrisky is once again in the news for accusation of lending a sum of 8 million naira which he has refused to return.

A Nigerian dental surgeon identified as Ifeoma has accused Bobrisky of lending 8 million naira from her and has refused to return the money. According to Ifeoma, Bobrisky reached out to her to lend him some money to do a surgery to help improve his feminity and be free of the ridicule he has been getting from Nigerians. Ifeoma explained how she agreed to lend her money out of sympathy and to support her cause of helping members of the gay community since she and her husband were bisexual. She stated that she lent him, 2.5 million and 5.5 million naira progressively.

However, Ifeoma finally voiced out on social media to reveal how Bobrisky has refused to fulfil his end of the bargain by returning the money he lent and also how he has been ignoring her calls.

Read the full analysis of the submitted ministerial appointees;

A total of 43 nominees chosen across the geopolitical zones in the country have made it to President Muhammadu Buhari ministerial list forwarded to the Senate for confirmation.

On the list announced by Senate President Ahmed Lawan are former ministers Babatunde Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Adamu Adamu(Bauchi), Senator Chris Ngige(Anambra).

Other names include former Governors Rauf Aregbesola(Osun), George Akume(Benue), Timipre Sylva(Bayelsa), Adeniyi Adebayo(Ekiti), Senator Godswill Akpabio(Akwa Ibom), Sunday Dare(Oyo), Festus Keyamo(Delta), Sharon Ikeazor(Anambra), Senator Tayo Alasoadura(Ondo), Senator Gbemisola Saraki (Kwara) and Olorunnibe Mamora(Lagos) making the list.

With Buhari submitting the list this week, it means the Senate would have to postpone its scheduled two-month break. The Senate was scheduled to begin a two-month recess on 26 July.

An NYSC member serving with Channels TV, Precious Owolabi, has been confirmed dead during a violent clash between the members of Shiite and police.

According to reports, Precious was hit by a stray bullet on Monday in Abuja during a protest involving about 3000 members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) who have been calling for the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

A Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations at the FCT Command, Usman Umar, has also been confirmed killed in a clash between the Shiites and police personnel in Abuja..

Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Femi Otedola has said he will take full responsibility of footing the medical bills of veteran actor, Sadiq Baba .

The veteran actor, who battled and survived through prostrate cancer a few years ago has fallen ill again. This was confirmed in Otedola’s remarks who was responsible for footing Baba’s hospital bills a few years back.

However, the billionaire tweeted his intent to lend out his outstretched arm to oversee the medical bills of Sadiq Baba as a token of appreciation for the childhood memories he has created.
