A South African woman, Susan Netshidi, has filed a report against her parents at the Honeydew Police Station, claiming she was stolen from her real parents.

Netshidi told Daily Sun, that she never knew that the couple who raised her wasn’t her parents until she left home and built her own house.

She said that was when, they called her ungrateful and said, she should go and find her own parents.

“Everything was fine until I left home and got my own life going. I built a house,” said 35-year-old Susan Netshidi from Ndjelele in Venda, Limpopo.

“They said I should have got them a house instead of building one for myself,” she claimed.

“They told me I should go and find my own parents.”

Susan said she was shattered. She claimed her parents were jealous that she built a house in Limpopo which they wanted.

They allegedly told her they regretted taking her on as their own child.

When Susan demanded to know what they were talking about, she claimed they told her she was not their child.

They apparently said her real mother was somewhere in Honeydew, Johannesburg.

“I’m hurt. I’m destroyed. I suspect my parents must have stolen me because they don’t have papers from social workers to show that I was adopted.”

Susan has been going all over Honeydew searching for her own parents.

“They told me my mother was a coloured person. I was always treated differently from the other children but I didn’t understand why until they told me I was not their child.”

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested two persons suspected to be drug smugglers in the Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.

It was learnt that the suspects, who were disguised as policemen, were intercepted while conveying 50 bags of dried weeds, suspected to be cannabis sativa and weighing 685 kilogrammes, along Okpella-Okene road.

They were said to have operated with a black Toyota Hiace bus, marked Ondo AKR 392 LZ and labelled with stickers of the emblem of the Nigeria Police.

The Edo State Commander of the agency, Mr. Buba Wakawa, while confirming the arrest on Friday, identified the fake policemen as one Matthew Onumba and Ojukwwu Henry.

Wakawa described them as members of a drug syndicate specialised in smuggling cannabis from the South to North-West region of the country.

He explained that the bus had reportedly taken off from Uzebba, in the Owan West Local Government Area of the state, en route to Kaduna State, when it was intercepted during a search operation by officers of the agency.

He said that the suspected smugglers had also attached a siren to the vehicle in a bid to evade security checks by the police.

The commander also disclosed that 2,412kg of cannabis was seized when operatives of the command raided a forest in Okpuje, in a separate operation.

He said, “The black bus (Toyota), with tainted glass, had a siren and police stickers both at the front and rear to deceive unsuspecting members of the public as well as security personnel. It has all the paraphenalia of an official police vehicle but all is a ruse.

“So much has been invested into this operation and I am glad that our efforts have been rewarded.”

A 12-year-old boy, Saifilahi Isa, on Tuesday, drowned in a well in Bagadawa Community in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.

The spokesman for the Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saidu Mohammed, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano on Wednesday that the incident occurred at about 3:08pm.

He said Isa was sent by his mother to go and fetch water in the well.

“We received a distress call on Tuesday evening from our division at Dawanau at 3:08pm that a boy had fallen into a well.

”On receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene at 3:25pm.

“Isa was rescued unconscious and was conveyed to Dawakin Tofa General Hospital where he was confirmed dead,” Mohammed said.

He advised parents who had wells in their homes to raise their heights and provide covers for same to protect children.

A popular Facebook slay queen in Ghana, Hikma Hussein, also known as Kim Red, has reportedly died exactly one week after she was involved in an accident.

The late young lady who is well-known on Facebook page Inna Real Life, was eulogized by some of her social media friends who took to her personal Facebook profile to mourn her and also express their shock over her sudden demise.

Hikma Hussein who made a name for herself while she was alive has been spotted in many photos with top personalities including the National Chief Imam of Ghana and actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known widely as Lil Win.

Hikma’s death follows the death of another social media slay queen, Charlotte Abena Woodey who passed away after a short illness.

THE traditional ruler of Ferowa village in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, Chief Muyideen Folorunso, has been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command over an alleged dubious land deal worth N15.5 million.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement made available to TribuneOnline, said the arrest of the traditional ruler followed a petition written by the management of a real estate firm against the traditional ruler.

DSP Oyeyemi said the company approached the traditional ruler for the purchase of about 23 acres of land in his domain, which was negotiated for N15.5 million, and the company paid the amount to the suspect after showing them the land.

“Surprisingly, some months after the payment was made, the traditional ruler started selling the same portion of land to another set of people, and before the company knew what was going on, he had sold 17 acres out of the 23 acres.

“As a result of the petition, the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, directed the officer in charge Public Complaints Bureau to look into the case and bring the suspect to book.

“The traditional ruler was subsequently arrested, and on interrogation, he admitted collecting the said amount of money from the complainant after showing them the land.

“He stated further that it was when he needed some money for his coronation that he was tempted to sell parts of the already sold land,” DSP Oyeyemi stated.

The police spokesperson said CP Iliyasu had ordered a thorough investigation into the case, and that the suspect would be arraigned in court in accordance with the anti-land grabbing laws of Ogun State.

A 50-year-old woman has become the UK’s oldest mother of quadruplets, defying million-to-one odds.

Tracey Britten, a grandmother-of-eight, has hailed her IVF babies a “miracle” after they were delivered by a team of 35 medics.

Ms Britten, from London, said she “can’t wait to get them home” after she gave birth to her quadruplets — three girls and a boy – by Cesarean last week, Evening Standard has reported.

The mother, who also has three grown-up children and eight grandchildren, described the experience as a “whirlwind.”

She said: “It’s been a whirlwind and I’m so grateful. One of the quads has had so many tubes around her that I haven’t seen her face properly.

“The babies have not all been together yet, each hooked up to different machines.”

The newborns are all said to be doing well in London’s University College Hospital, where they were delivered, and Ms Britten said she hoped they would be home for Christmas.

The news comes after it was revealed earlier this year that she was carrying the quads after spending £7,000 on IVF in Cyprus.

Giving birth to quadruplets is extremely rare. In June, St George’s hospital in Tooting, south London, delivered its first set of quadruplets in 13 years.

Only two such births were recorded in England and Wales in 2014, three in 2015 and five in 2016.
